The Perfect Tool was a fast-paced and steamy read about mistaken identity and finding romance when you least expect it. Things move pretty fast between Lynda and Max once they first meet and I found it a little difficult to believe that she wouldn’t at least ask the man a few questions before things progressed as far as they did. Even once their mistake was discovered, she is very understanding, which I wasn’t sure would be her response. However, this story seems to be a sexual fantasy with a bit of romance thrown in, so I can see why the author handled it the way she did. And as a short story, where there isn’t a lot of time for more, it worked.

The story also had a bit of an interesting twist thrown in that added to my enjoyment of the story…it was one I definitely didn’t see coming, but I won’t spoil.

Although it is part of the Blind Date After Dark series, The Perfect Tool is a stand alone book and reading the first in the series is not necessary to enjoy this one. The Perfect Tool is a very quick and enjoyable read.

I did get the feeling that Constance Spenser and Sebastian Sabbat were fated to be together. Darian plays a small but very important part in this third book with regards to Samuel Spenser. I now wonder if he really is a bad as the previous books made him out to be.

I am very happy to say that there are loose ends still floating around this book so it gives me hope that a fourth one is in the works. I highly recommend reading not just this book but all of them in this incredibly hot and well-written series.

The only part of the story I did not like was that there was no resolution to the fire in this book. I hope the next book will be about Hailey and Cole and any loose ends from this book will be tied up in the next. Though there were several grammatical and editing errors in the book, I tried not to let them distract me from this very sexy read.

And be forewarned, I had the fire department standing by to make sure neither I nor my computer burst into flames while reading this scorching hot book.

I was amazed at the depth of this story. It told the tale of four different people in explicate detail and sketched the stories of two more couples. All the characters in some way or another had their lives touched by Loretta Bishop. I feel obligated to point out that the story is told in the first person from three different people’s points-of-view, and it is told in the present with continuous flashbacks to several different time periods in the past. However, I had no problem switching back and forth between characters and time periods.

I loved the character of Loretta Bishop. She was a young girl who found herself pregnant and thrown out of her home at seventeen years of age. She did what she had to in order to survive, and she had her child and gave him up for adoption. I saw Loretta’s strength and determination in how she refused to take the “easy way” and prostitute herself for quick money in Las Vegas. I enjoyed how she worked hard through her life for what she got. Yes, she loved a few men, but she refused to take advantage of them when she felt it was wrong for them. There were many minor characters who all had some part in Loretta’s life. Vinnie played a role from the time Loretta was nineteen till she was in her fifties. He was one of her on again off again lovers who helped her get her first job as a cocktail waitress. Gary also is with Loretta through the whole story. It’s funny how he runs away at first when his heart is broken but he always loved Loretta and brings Bobby to her when Bobby’s heart is crushed. Every character adds their own brush stroke to the canvas that is the life of Loretta.

I found Love and Seduction in Las Vegas not only to be a very hot story but also a very intricate. I thoroughly enjoyed this moving story of the life of Loretta Bishop, a strong-willed independent women eking out a living in Las Vegas and I highly recommend it.

She has her best friend, first lover and bed buddy no matter when or where in Steve. I believe that Steve liked having his cake and eating it too. He knew he would always have Cassie available for him all the time even if he was with another girl. It seemed as though they both looked out for only themselves and did not want anything to go anyway except their way.

Corby was a sweetheart. He fell in love at first sight with Cassie. I fell in love with him as the story went on. I felt his emotions as he cried, loved. laughed and was in pain . I kept rooting for Corby and wanted things to work out for him. Yes, I know he can have a temper and be a little demanding but he just seemed to be a big lovable teddy bear that I wanted for my very own.

I can see how this could happen in real life sports. What happens to the ex-wives? I learned a little in this story. Did I like the main characters as people? Not especially but they played the roles they were written extremely well. I loved the secondary characters. With them I got the charisma, charm and smiles I wanted.

Even if you’re not a sports nut, this is a hot read that I would recommend instead of forcing yourself to sit through that game on television.

There are five major characters in the story. I loved Darlene. She was a sweet 16 year-old who had to take over the running of the ranch when her parents died. Now that she has grown, she handles her older sister Kimbrell, who I felt was very easy and loved messing with the ranch hands. I liked how Darlene teased Stan, Kimbrell’s current friend, and made Kimbrell mad at her antics. Stan’s brother, Finn, is Darlene’s boyfriend. I did not care for the characters of Stan, Finn, or Kimbrell. I found them very hard to like no matter what they did in the story. Even Kimbrell’s keeping in touch with Jack made me angry that she did not share this information with Darlene. Jack Dawson was easy to like. He had tall, dark, handsome and wounded down pat. I loved when he made Darlene come to him. He made me want to do whatever he asked.

The sex in the book is riveting and very detailed, especially the scenes with Darlene and Jack. I could see that their first joining was very intense and a long time coming. I kept pulling for the two of them the entire story, even before I knew the details of their lives.

With characters I like, a good storyline, and lots of hot sex, “A Matter Among Men” has everything I look for in a good erotic romance.

Carolina Barbour’s erotic novel is fantastic. She created a universe that interacts with our earth and has the story taking place all over the galaxy. She clearly explained the details of the DNA altering that had gone on, and the effects that it had with the well-written descriptions that were provided. This laid the groundwork for Lana Sinclair being taken as a Breeder and being auctioned.

I enjoyed the character of Lana Sinclair. She was a feisty, smart young woman who did not want to be told what to do and wanted someone to care for her just for who she was. Lana fought against anything that was unfamiliar to her. I learned that she had a very hard childhood and I liked that she achieved the level of learning that she had in the book. She has killers after her from the beginning of the book and I did not know why.

Luckily, Xander Rynior, learns about the breeder escaping at the beginning of the story. I found Xander to be a very caring man who does what he can to tweak the noses of the Federal Command Council. I also thought that Xander was very intelligent. I loved how Xander seduced Lana and helped her get over her inhibitions and helped make her feel good and clean. He allowed her to go at her pace and did not push her beyond what she truly wanted. I enjoyed watching the love they had for each other develop. I will say that there are also many M/M sexual scenes among the secondary characters. I found these to be appropriate in the book but advise that some may find these erotic scenes not quite their cup of tea.

I found that nothing could distract me as I read Pure Distraction. I look forward to the second book in this amazing series.

The romance between Madison and Dylan develops slowly in the story. There are some steamy scenes but I feel that the book was more about the relationship between Madison and Dylan than just the sex. I enjoyed reading this sweet story and am Hooked on the town of Westhaven.

Diana Grady and Josie Reynolds own Pleasures Inc., a male escort service. I liked both of these characters. I wanted Diana to be happy with Nick because she had such a hard life and bad marriage. She tried to protect herself from men and I just wanted Nick to crack open the hard shell she had around herself. Josie is a tough cookie who looks out for herself and uses men. I wanted her to find someone to love and when she meets Mitchell Kendrick, I saw a possible future.

The descriptions that Ms. Knowles uses are so detailed that I felt I was in the book. When she described Nick as having dimples the size of the Grand Canyon, I just wanted to caress them with my fingers. I felt like I was in the back room of Cup of Joe’s with Josie and Mitch. I could cut the sexual tension in the air with a knife and feel every caress that occurred; the writing was so detailed and explicit.

This is a very well told story and I did not want it to end. I wanted to have resolution to everything in the story but I see that this is the first book in the Pleasures, Inc. Series. I can only hope that the series continues with Josie and Mitch. I thoroughly enjoyed Guilty Pleasures and look forward to the next book in this series.
