This book takes place in Regency England, and Victoria Caldwell is seeking a husband, and is being courted by a few gentlemen. Little does she expect that her best friend, David Barrett, the Earl of Dunreith, harbors secret feelings for her, which he has never expressed. During one of their rides, he surprises her by seducing her and then he stakes his claim and asks for her hand in marriage. But, David has a very wicked secret that he has hidden from the world, and he fears that if it becomes known he will be ruined.

I certainly am looking forward to more books involving these characters.
