But once I got my bearings, the story quickly grew enthralling. The author’s depiction of angels, demons, and their duties was a refreshing twist from the norm. Even in a realm where beings are supposed to be “pure”, you find corruption and lies. I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s creativity and praise her on a wonderful tale.

Unholy Angel is a wonderful depiction of how love can cross the line between enemies.

Charlie, Ben, and Wyatt Cantrell are more than brothers, they are obviously best friends. This is a close knit family along with their cousins Eric and Max. As a reader and a woman, I had to admire their devotion and connection. Even though Anna is initially intimidated by the brothers, their easy manner and persistence pays off! This is a beautiful love story for anyone who enjoys the intensity of a ménage relationship. Ms. Dwyer has a talented voice for writing ménage. I was first introduced to her writings when I read Were She Belongs. My only complaint isn’t really a complaint but more like a hopeful request! In For The Love Of Anna, we are introduced to secondary characters Stacy, Eric and Max who are in a ménage relationship as well. I NEED to read their story! So, please Ms. Dwyer, don’t leave us hanging to long!! Until then, though, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Anna’s story. You will be glad you did.

Author Jenika Snow skillfully penned a believable story about three friends who slowly become more. Too often, we see stories where they just leap into bed without a second thought and that always feels a bit false. There are multiple dynamics here, and they’re all addressed in a realistic way.

Each of the men is very different in how they handle Lilly, and though they aren’t entirely thrilled with having to share, they understand that the love between them is between them – all three of them. After dousing my head in cold water, I gave a sigh at the end, especially when reading the epilogue, which was touching and added a wonderful sense of togetherness.

If you want a story that’s romantic, real and oh-so hot, then Lilly’s Surrender is the perfect choice. I highly recommend it.

So I will be adding Lola Newmar to my wish list so I can keep up with the series.

Ms. Blaine has penned a very in-depth and layered plot that kept me constantly trying to guess her next move. This is not your typical ménage storyline where the heroine automatically falls madly in love with all the heroes involved. While Paige doesn’t reject any of the men outright, she has a deeper and more obvious connection with two of the men. I won’t give away which two she ends up favoring, partially because that would be a spoiler but also because I don’t want the reader to not appreciate what she has with the other men involved.

If you like a heroine who has been put through the wringer and came out tougher and more self-sufficient on the other side, you will love Paige Lambert aka Jillian Carpasia. She lived in an abusive relationship and has finally broken away and is simply trying to live quietly as the owner of a bed and breakfast on Jekyll Island. Just as an aside, I really loved the setting of Jekyll Island. There’s history and beauty there that seems almost out of place until you remember how close you are to the Georgia coast.

Like Paige, the men in this story are each unique and captivating characters. Ms. Blaine obviously put in some real time and effort for the sake of accuracy. I loved the ending of the story and as such I will likely go back and re-read it for a better understanding.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Breakfast By The Sea. This novel is packed with plenty of action, tension, personal growth and some steamy hotness that had me reaching for a fan.

He’s willing to give her the funds she needs to cover her father’s debt, he takes a beating for her and wants more than anything to give her the life she deserves even when it’s not within his power to do so. He admires her courage and blunt honesty even as he tries to convince her that her actions are foolish and dangerous. However, I have to point out that Gregor also demonstrates that a man can only be so honorable before it becomes his downfall. There were a couple of different times, if I had been Erika, I think I would have cheerfully choked him with his tiresome honor!

One of the major themes of the book is in regard to the differences in the class system. Gregor was in the highest echelon while Erika, though a lady and a Baron’s daughter, was just above the working class. The differentiation in the titles and stations was a true cultural barrier during the 18th century and it gave the story a feel of realism and added powerful tension to the plot. Would they be able to overcome their heritage? Does Gregor find the courage to take love over title and inheritance? Can Erika give up her honor to become his mistress? You won’t want to miss the exciting conclusion!!

Some writers have such a talent for story telling that a book will literally play out as a movie in your mind while you read. If you enjoy a story that inspires your imagination you will truly enjoy More Than A Mistress.

But when the vampire mediator sent to broker the peace agreement disappears, will their second chance at being together also vanish? And what happens when Grayson accidentally mates the vampire while trying to save his life? Will Caleb have to give up his clan, his alpha status, and his dream of being with Grayson? Or will being alpha born have its advantages?

I really don’t think anything could have prepared me for the journey this story took me through, but I would not trade the journey for anything.

It has been a long time since a story evoked such strong emotions from me. I can definitely say that I identified strongest with Caleb and, when he felt betrayed or I felt he was betrayed I was an emotional wreck. I literally was almost in tears when Caleb was upset by Grayson’s and Noel’s actions. The next second I was so angry that I had to stop myself from flinging my Kindle across the room. I had to be satisfied with putting the story down and walking away because I was so upset. I walked away shaking my head wondering why I was so affected by the fact that I thought Caleb was being mistreated. I mean it is just a story right? Luckily for me when I got my feelings back in check I returned to the story to see the happily-ever-after I knew Caleb, as well as Grayson and Noel deserved. While I did feel emotionally attached to Caleb in depths I still don’t quite understand, I still also felt sympathy towards Grayson and Noel. They were all victim of circumstances out of their powers. There was nothing anyone could have done to prevent them for bonding with one another. In the end all three men were able to work out their relationship and make it work for them and seeing them happy made me happy.

The conflict within this story was excellent! These men had piles and piles of odds stacked against them. The premise of the story is based around Caleb and Grayson being driven apart by their alpha status when they were young but that is just were the trouble really begins. Not only does their relationship have obstacles in front of it, but then comes Noel — the mediator sent to help them work out a peace agreement, who further complicates things when he mates with Grayson.

Now all three men have to fight werewolves and whoever else tries to come between their volatile relationship. These numerous conflicts definitely added richness to the story and also incorporated some interesting justice of their own. It also allowed the men to work through the relationship in a way that guaranteed them success. I do not think that the author would have been able to give them a nice tidy ending had these additional threats not been there.

This story really does have everything you can ask for: plot, characterization, conflict, irony, and imagery. Any story that can turn me upside down the way the way this one did deserves a Best Book rating. It is a story that has made its way to my must read again list and I would suggest anyone with a fascination with m/m and shifters to read this story.
