While all of the main conflicts were wrapped up neatly in this story I did question the conclusiveness of a few minor situations, one being the conflict with the demons that kidnapped Noah to begin with. There was a semblance of a conclusion but I just would have liked to a little more follow up once Noah was found. Because these conflicts were minor in the grand scheme of the story the plot was still a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Plus the conflict between Noah and his father really trumped everything else.

While the story itself was excellent the story had a few fundamental issues. For example a missing word in a few sentences. Also on a few occasions characters were referred to with the wrong name. It did disrupt the flow of the story because I would have to figure out inaccuracies so that I could understand exactly what the author was trying to convey.

I think all-in-all this was a really good story with some great notable characters. Not only will the main characters remain with me for a while but so will the supporting cast, which I know I will see much more of in the future.

It is what brought them back together and it made their relationship develop quicker because they felt the need to protect one another. This story has a nice pace from beginning to end which made it an easy read. The relationship developed from a one night stand to a full blown love affair and I was just happy that I was allowed to come along for the ride. The guy-on-guy action was also worth strapping on my seatbelt for. With a great plot and the furious Nix this story can keep anyone entertained.

I am thinking they wished she didn’t love them quite so much, until they get the full impact of what was planned for them. Then they’re pretty grateful, to a certain extent.

In The Moon, The Madness, and The Magic, Celia sets up Celeste, her niece who has a very interesting bloodline, with Rourke, a very dominate and sexy growly man, and Dane, brother and best friend to Rourke and delicious in his own right. Of the three of them, Celeste is the only one in the know and the one with the responsibility to initiate the two men into her world and their place within it. That’s a great conflict right there. Add to that the fact that all three are going through some changes that will either destroy the world or save it depending on their choices and the plot accelerates even more.

Of course this is my opinion and even though Rourke was a tough nut to crack, I continue to wish there’d have been a bit more to his capitulation. On the other hand, what there was for physical interaction between the three of them was pretty inventive and hot so I am pretty sure erotic romance readers are going to find enough of what they look for to be satisfied and happy with this story.

The Moon, The Madness, and The Magic is a well written, imaginative and entertaining read filled with spicy action and sultry seductions. The conflicts in this story are mostly internal but there’s an overt threat that looms over the three characters which adds to the tension and importance of their being successful. Of course writing a book where sex is the key to saving the world just had to be fun to write and it shows. There’s humor between the characters and lots of good buildup for a reader to enjoy which leads to a very satisfying happily ever after. I love how the men refused to “poof” and it summed up their personalities well. Rourke and Dane are not ‘poofy’ men; they are alphas all the way and oh, so yummy. I think readers will like them just as much as I did and will come away thinking Celeste is one lucky lady. Read it and see if you agree.

He is able to recognize that Stefan is not like the others in his life and genuinely wants to help him. The fact that Patrick is able to put his trust into someone after everything he has been through is commendable. It shows that he has been able to maintain some semblance of hope even when things seem to be at their worst. I also like that he becomes possessive over Stefan because it shows how desperately he needs his knight in shining armor.

Stefan is a sweetie who only wants to help his mate. Even if Patrick does not accept him as a mate, Stefan just wants to know he did everything he could to help Patrick escape his controlling master. This makes it clear to the reader that Stefan has a big and open heart, but after meeting the rest of his family in this story I can see where he gets it from.

This story did have a few antagonistic conflicts. We are presented with the club owner who wants his property — a.k.a. Patrick — back. Also Patrick is not welcomed with open arms from all of the werewolves in the story. These conflicts helped demonstrate the lengths that Stefan and Patrick go to protect one another. Though I will say I would have loved this story without these additional conflicts, because these two men alone are enough to keep anyone interested.

I have not had the pleasure of reading the previous stories from this series but after falling in love with Stefan and Patrick, as well as Stefan’s family, I plan on picking up both previous stories as well as any future stories and I would suggest to anyone else to do the same.

I cannot say I would have been as accepting as Darren is had it been me. Though I am happy we were because it made for a excellent read.

I liked watching Lillian grow a backbone. She started out as a subservient, timid girl, doing as everyone told her. But she grew to realize that the Conclave was wrong for her and chose to do something about it. I loved watching her find love with her two ‘victims’ and foiling the plans of the Conclave high priest by engineering their escape.

Reno and Titus are both unique characters. I’m used to the angels and jinns of this world, but with Titus, a centuries old phantom, and Reno, a newly born shade, we are introduced to more of the immortal denizens of this unique world. Titus is the dominant male, and he plays the role quite well, pushing all the right buttons for optimum response from Lillian. Reno is new to the game, but willing to do whatever it takes to keep Lillian interested.

This actually is a prequel to the events in the other books in this world, and it answers some questions that were of concern in the two books I had already read. This is an excellent addition to the series, and I enjoyed it. This is a must have addition.

Cal is a dominant who was damaged by his relationship with his late wife. Cal married his wife when he was 18 because she was the only person who ever needed him. They fell into a dominant and submissive relationship because it gave her a structure she needed. In truth his late wife was depressed, and needed, but refused psychiatric help. When Cal meets Gaby he was immediately captivated and they started their relationship within two weeks. Cal feels bound by a promise to his late wife that affects his relationship with Gaby. What is truly neat about Away from Me is that the true character growth curve we see is for Cal not Gaby. Cal’s growth to a person who can accept his love for Gaby and adapt to be the person she needs is breathtaking.

Ms. Oak’s writing is clear and pulls you in from the first sentence. Ms. Oak’s handling of breast cancer was sensitive and touching. Having lost my mother to cancer earlier this year I wouldn’t have read this book if I had known that was her secret reason for leaving. But I really did enjoy the book and no scars were opened.
