I especially liked the character of Devyn and found her “gift” interesting. She worries that there won’t be room for her in a relationship between the two men who have known each other for a long time and I could understand her doubt and concerns.

The inclusion of well-known figures such as Mother Nature and Cupid, really helped add some humor and a nice light-hearted touch to this story.

One thing I didn’t like was the fact that the story ends with a “To Be Continued” providing the reader with no closure and leaving me very disappointed. But even though I didn’t care for the “To Be Continued,” I am eager to find out what happens next. There were also a few secondary characters that intrigued me and I would love to know more about perhaps in future books.

The story was a bit confusing at first with all those new terms and extraterrestrial beings: Blyat, Nil Raja, haang-jui, the people with blue hair, blue eyes, strange markings on their skin, but my quizzical glance only lasted a few pages. The concepts as well as the alien creatures became quickly familiar and turned Spaceport Incognito into an addictive drug for my plan was to read a few chapters and stop; I couldn’t. I even forgot to eat my afternoon snack!

An amazing plot: a brother looking for a lost sister, a prostitute that’s not what she seems, disappearing children, adorable Kitaliis, a killer fiancé, a blooming love and lot’s of very hot sex all of it perfectly interlaced and woven. Add all that and then throw in some great descriptions, some characters which you can’t stop thinking about even after finishing the novel (did I mention that I’ve spent all day remembering my favourite bits of the story? With their imperfections and flaws, they were fascinating characters and really helped make the story enjoyable.

I also found that Tomak’s story kind of paralleled athletes and the use of steroids in today’s society, which added a realness to this futuristic romance. I did wonder a bit about what the sport of TriZ was as it was never really explained yet many references were made to the sport. Other than that, I felt this was a very well done story that I enjoyed a great deal.

In addition to the romance, there is an interesting twist involving Jana’s bosses at the resort and some illicit activities and I loved how the trio handled this.

My only complaint is that I would have loved to have known more about Tristan and Travis’s world. Despite this, Passions is a great read that I would recommend to those looking for something a bit different, but keep those fans handy because you’ll need them with this hot read.

Tolynn and Dustin also struggle as they face jealousy over sharing Aithne. I felt for these characters as they dealt with the complications that arose from their attraction.

The unexpected ending of the story was an interesting surprise that I didn’t see coming, but it was handled nicely. I enjoyed this story and I look forward to learning about Aithne’s sisters as they deal with the curse that haunts them.

Cassie Teller loves her husband Corby but is having a hard time living with him. I start to feel sorry for her when she is ignored by Corby. All I can say is I loved this second book in the Sports Wives Series and recommend reading it instead of watching a game or soap on the television.
