Fifteen years ago in Australia, a young shapeshifter named Daisy lost her heart to an Alpha werewolf. Now Adam is back in her life and uncovering all her secrets, but can she ever accept his love again?

Lucky always thought she had a normal life — well, as normal as can be in the fashion industry. But when an incubus and his evil twin start haunting her dreams in the hottest way, she begins to wonder what’s hidden in her own past.

Sundown Investigation is a unique organization, with offices in many of the world’s larger capitals. They are unique, because they help the paranormal community with problems that fall far outside the realm of any normal detective agency. East Side Story. Vampires and Fae hate each other, right? At least that is the common thought for as long as history has been recorded. So why is gorgeous Unseelie Ruarc so attracted to fledgling vampire Maria? Maria has been told that she is supposed to hate Ruarc, but no one has explained anything about why. Something big, mean and nasty is after Ruarc, and she isn’t about to stand by and let it get him without a fight. Can Maria and Ruarc stop what’s after him? More important, can they get past the historic feud and find a future together?

Drive Me Daisy,. Daisy grew up with the Fae, taken to their realm as an infant. The Fae love babies, but rarely are Fae babies born. So they bargain for mortal babies, and that’s how Daisy came to be raised with them. Unfortunately, babies grow up, and a teenaged mortal girl, even one with shape changing abilities, is no longer quite so interesting, and Daisy was dumped in Australia. That’s where she met Adam, and fell in love with him. But he had plans for his future, and Daisy couldn’t agree with his methods to get what he wanted. So Daisy left and came to America to start a life without him. Soon, Lucky isn’t so lucky and starts having all sorts of problems. Can Lucky get her life back? Can Tomas keep Lucky safe? Will Lucky find out what her boss really is? And what SHE is?

Here Kitty Kitty. Wolfe and Nathan used to be partners and both worked for Sundown Investigations. Now they are mortal enemies, because of Nathan’s past actions. Kat is a newly bitten cat shifter, trying to juggle student life in a strange city with turning into a jungle cat once a month. When she goes into heat, only Wolfe can soothe her cravings. But can the werewolf keep her safe once the panther shifter begins searching the world for Kat? Why is she Nathan’s target? Can Wolfe and Nathan put aside their differences long enough to keep Kat alive and satisfied?

Cat Marsters is a master at hot and sexy, and this collection of four supremely engaging and entertaining stories is no exception. I loved all four of these tales, but my favorite was Here Kitty Kitty. The women in all the stories were strong characters, with ideas and goals that they were determined to meet. The guys, whether they are wolves, vampires or demons, were hot beyond all belief, and yet they were all sensitive to what their chosen woman needed. If you like lots of unusual beings, hot sex in strange and unusual places, and lots of humor along with it, Sundown Investigations is the book for you. But be careful; you just might need to fireproof your fingers, this one is so hot.

What would persuade a woman jump off a moving train in the Badlands? Two wanted men.

Miranda Herrington lives a quiet, small town life wishing for a chance to be a doctor like her father. One fateful night, two sexy strangers provide Miranda her fondest wish of practicing medicine along with a dual taste of desire. Now they want her to join them in the Badlands.

Luke Quinton and Reese Martin are retired lawmen on their way to their substantial property near the Badlands of South Dakota. Time alone with Miranda stirs their desire to share her forever.

A crooked local sheriff, a deceitful unpaid debt and a very long westward train trip to the Badlands are the only things standing between Miranda and the two men she wants.

Will she join her two wanted men in the wild west?

“I adore the wide open spaces of the west along with living out here. I also love stories set in the old west. Something about the Badlands of South Dakota piques the interest of my writer’s muse. Enjoy these tales of erotic love set to the western backdrop of the Badlands.” ~ Elle ~

Does Happily Ever After really exist, or have we been deceived as young children by fairy tales, such as Cinderella, Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood? Should we really have believed the fairy godmother or the evil step mother? That’s exactly what our heroine, Miranda Herrington is about to find out. Does Happily Ever After exist for an intelligent, strong-willed woman who desires to be a doctor in a time and age when women are supposed to be seen and not heard? Can two rugged, sexy, retired lawmen whose beliefs span the 21st century (in that a woman can do anything she sets her mind to given a little encouragement) convince the woman of their dreams to be their lover forever when it’s frowned upon by society? Or, will the Big Bad Wolf capture Little Red Riding Hood on her way to the Badlands of South Dakota; thereby, destroying everyone’s Happily Ever After?

Miranda Herrington has always considered herself the kind of woman that men overlooked…never displaying any romantic intent. She’s smart, sassy, headstrong, practical, intuitive for her age, and knows exactly what she wants out of life. She has the ability to see through Sherriff Colby’s façade to know that he’s a male chauvinist pig and a man not to be trusted. A contradiction to the way a proper young lady should conduct herself in the 1800s, Miranda’s the kind of woman who’s more interested in discussing medicine than the next social event in town or the type of dress a proper young lady would wear to such an event. The sole purpose of Miranda’s existence has always revolved around becoming a doctor. Instead of begging for frilly dresses and dreaming about a husband to take care of her, she was begging for medical books to quench her thirst for knowledge regarding the medical profession…that is, until the seductive presence of two sexy strangers awaken the lust that’s been lying dormant in her now wanton body. Although the townspeople have other ideas of how a proper young lady should conduct herself, Miranda is determined to defy the odds, the townspeople, and her father to make her dream of becoming a doctor reality.

When Luke Quinton and Reese Martin show up on her door-step needing help, her dream becomes reality and her desires are awaken by the two sexy strangers. The two handsome lawmen provide Miranda with opportunities she never imagined possible and force her to re-evaluate some of her dreams while acknowledging her hidden desires. The intimate connection between Miranda, Lucas and Reese is not only wicked, but also sensual. Some might call it LOVE at first sight and others might call it LUST. Either way, these three began a journey that will change their lives forever, if they can get past the Big Bad Wolf, Sherriff Ben Colby. Sherriff Colby is the typical arrogant, crooked, self-absorbed, holier-than-thou, egotistical male. Not only does he have little respect for the value of a woman’s opinion, but also for the value of a woman in general. He gives a whole new meaning to the term barefoot and pregnant, which is more along the lines of servant/slave. This is a villain you’ll love to hate and on occasion find yourself wanting to knock him over the head with one of Madea’s cast iron skillets.

In Two Wanted Men, Ms. James takes the reader on a riveting, adventurous journey that will have you biting your nails in anticipation of what is going to happen next. Not only is Ms. James writing as smooth as silk, but the words jump off the page and make you feel as though you’re living in the 1800s. The language and mindset of the characters are so believable that as a twenty-first century woman, I had to constantly remind myself that the setting of Two Wanted Men is during the 1800s. This is probably because I wanted to slap Sherriff Colby upside the head like Cher did to Nicholas Cage in Moonstruck and say “Snap out of it, already”. If you like hot, sexy cowboys who could seduce a woman with just a look, but are skilled in the art of pleasure, then Elle Saint James’ Two Wanted Men is the book for you. Ms. James will have you teetering on the edge wondering if this is a fairy tale in the making or a disaster waiting to happen. I guess you’ll have to read the book to find out. I loved the second book in the Badland series and can’t wait for the third book. Bravo, Ms. James and I’ll definitely recommend Two Wanted Men to my friends.

When country boys meet a city girl, everyone is in for a wild ride.

Studs in Spurs, Book 1

Slade Bower and Mustang Jackson are living the high life on the professional bull-riding circuit. The prize money is big, the bulls are rank and the women are willing. But something is missing.

For Slade, waking up in a different city with a different woman each morning is holding less and less appeal. Even Mustang’s creative attempts to shake things up don’t help. Then along comes a big-city author who’s like nothing they’ve ever encountered. Something about her makes Slade sit up and take notice—and Mustang is always up for anything.

Romance writer Jenna Block has a problem—her agent thinks a cowboy book will jump-start her career. A born New Yorker, Jenna doesn’t do cowboys, not on paper, and definitely not in real life. Luckily for her there are two cowboys ready, willing and able to take her out of her comfort zone in every way that counts…and some ways she hadn’t counted on.

A story with a city girl, two bull-riding cowboys, and so much sizzling sex you’ll melt the house down. How can you possibly go wrong? Cat Johnson has delivered another ménage to swoon for in Unridden, book one in the Studs and Spurs series. When Jenna Block is told her latest romance novel isn’t up to snuff, she’s forced to enter unfamiliar territory. Ménage and cowboys are all the rage, which means she’s got some heavy research to do. A trip to Tulsa puts her directly in the center of the action, between the devilishly hot cowboys Slade Bower and Mustang Jackson.

From the beginning of the story, you learn Slade and Mustang have sex with the multitude of buckle bunny groupies who are eager to take the famous bull-riders for a ride of their own. Sharing women has never been a problem for the friends, but Mustang has noticed his Slade seems to have withdrawn from the action. Try as he might, Mustang can’t seem to snag Slade’s attention, until he notices his best-friend’s interest in Jenna during a competition. One thing leads to another, and eventually they bring the city girl to their shared trailer for a wild night of sex. Only now, Slade definitely doesn’t want to share, and resents the time his friend spends with a woman he can’t seem to stop obsessing over. To me, this represented a coming of age and maturity. Slade is a couple of years younger than Mustang, and though he isn’t aware of it, yearns for something more than the rodeo and empty sexual encounters. It takes meeting the woman he’s not willing to share to bring those repressed emotions to the surface.

The heroine is an older woman that can’t believe she’s allowed herself to engage in a ménage with two flaming hot men that are considerably younger than her. Thinking that it will be a one night only kind of deal, she takes the encounter at face value. Trouble arises when she can’t stop thinking about one of the cowboys–Slade. There is something so vulnerable about him, and she wants to break through the hard exterior to the man beneath. She does enjoy the ménage, but it’s apparent she enjoys those moments with Slade best. Soon, she’ll have to return home and finish her latest story, but will she be able to leave these cowboys that have weaseled their way into her heart behind?

This is a delightful romp that fans of ménage will enjoy. You have the angst, the tension, and oodles of white hot sex. You’ll root for Slade and Jenna, and enjoy Mustang because the characters are so well written so that you understand what goes on between him. The writing is great, the story flows well, and you’ll go from zero to sixty in five seconds flat.

Unridden is a satisfying read that’s pleasurably hot to the touch. Don’t forget to but this one on your TBR list.

What would you do if your husband cornered you one day and asked you to fill out a list asking for your thoughts on every sex act under the sun? Would you think “Fun! I can steal some of these ideas!” or would you get scared that he’s trying to tell you something? That maybe your sex life isn’t spicy enough for him, that he wants more?

Soon after Mia McIntyre completes her list and hands it out to her husband, her life gets turned upside down. At first it’s fun. A lot of fun. Their fantasies are suddenly becoming reality and they both get a kick out of it.

But when other people start getting involved, things turn complicated. Mia pushes on, intent on pleasing Kevin. She loves him after all and she’d do anything for him…wouldn’t she?

Kevin is a hot and hunky pro football player. His wife, Mia, is nothing like the women he used to be seen with. When Kevin gives her the List-a list of sexual activities that can be answered Yes, No or Maybe, she believes it is because he is unhappy with her. She has always been a bit insecure, and wants to do whatever it takes to please Kevin.

Kevin doesn’t realize how she feels, and just wants her to be more outgoing. So she agrees to some of the suggestions on the list, like Kevin’s teammate Charlie’s sex party, and that’s when the trouble starts. Can Mia and Kevin get past their misunderstandings, or will her insecurity be the end of everything?

Emma Hillman has perfectly captured the essence of the shy and insecure Mia, the woman who will do anything to keep her man happy. And Kevin is the image of the man who thinks that because he thinks she’s beautiful and perfect, she should believe what he tells her. When Nick shows up and rescues Mia, it sets the stage for the hottest ménage, and helps Mia start to believe a bit more in herself.

There are some really fun escapades here, like the nurse scene, and one or two surprises that I didn’t see coming. For a while, it looks like this relationship is in trouble, but the happy ever after, when it happens, is well worth the wait. This is a terrific and realistic story, and I enjoyed it very much. But be sure to keep your fan on, because this one gets hot!

The bigger they are, the harder they fall—in love.

Rough Riders, Book 7

Soldier Cameron McKay has found his niche, and it ain’t ropin’ steers and wearin’ spurs. His deputy sheriff job, plus battle injuries that ended his military career, keep him right where he wants to be: Off the ranch and away from his family’s pity. His darkest war memories are on lockdown, leaving him skeptical he’ll ever find a woman who wants a man who’s less than whole.

Domini Katzinski has had to control every aspect of her life since age eleven, when she was orphaned in the Ukraine. Watching others’ relationships crumble has convinced her to focus on the short-term and find a take-charge man to whom she can relinquish total sexual control. Cam fits the bill: gorgeous, with a brooding vulnerability no one else seems to see. Plus, he has his own handcuffs.

Once Cam gets over his surprise that sweet, shy Domini wants to be dominated, he is back to issuing orders. Their passion is as hot as a rocket-propelled grenade—and if Domini has her way, it’s a one-shot deal. Cam wants more, and launches a full-out sensual assault…until tragedy strikes, forcing him to change tactics as he tries to keep past demons from blowing their future together all to hell…

Warning: this book contains down and dirty games of good cop/bad cop, salty language, sweet ‘n hot lovin’, menage a trois, and hooah! a hero packin’ serious heat.

Oh my, do I love the way Lorelei James writes. One scene – a mere five-page prologue – and the whole conflict is established. You don’t have to have read the prior six books in the series (though if you haven’t, why haven’t you?). You don’t have to know anything about Domini or Cam or their childhoods or their history together, because you know who they are, as people, and as people who want each other and have wanted each other for some time.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of Ms. James’s books is that the people are real. Domini Katzinski is a young woman from the Ukraine who was forced to flee after the Chernobyl disaster. She’s totally insecure and thinks she’s defective; she’s soft-spoken but loyal. But while Domini may appear sweet and shy, inside she is a firecracker, and she is not afraid to stand up for her friends or to confront issues head on – even when the confrontation involves big, bad and sexy Cameron McKay. And those issues include not just getting him to show his interest in her, but also Cam’s own issues. Domini is not just strong, she’s strong for Cam. When he is embarrassed about his injuries or his nightmares, she doesn’t cuddle, suffocate or baby him. As Cam says, she has “guts”. While she offers Cam a soft place to land, she is no marshmallow. Her inner core is made of steel, and she is all about quiet strength.

Cam is the youngest McKay brother. He did not join the family ranching business. Cam was a career army guy until he lost his leg and his little finger in Afghanistan. He came back from the war wounded, and not just physically. Cam needs lots of space because he has never lived alone before – first he lived with his large family then in the barracks. He takes refuge is his home, and Ms. James’ description of both the place itself and his appreciation for the peace and solitude he finds there is lyrical. sildenafil mastercard Finding mistakes and fighting over them will destroy the feelings. And the way Cam interacts with his dog, Gracie, reveals so much of the sweet, gentle man he is often afraid to show the world, instead hiding behind his hardheaded, gruff persona.

Both Domini and Cam are scarred and scared; they are both attracted to each other in a fiery blaze of lust; and they are both afraid of a relationship. Domini doesn’t want a relationship because all the relationships she has ever seen have failed. But Domini is not so afraid that she doesn’t at least reach out to Cam. She knows he will be a take-charge kind of man, and wants that in a relationship. As she tells Cam, she has fantasized about finding a man who will take away her choice, who won’t let her be shy about any aspect of sex. “A man who will command me to please him and myself, but who won’t physically hurt me.”

And oh boy, did she ever find that man in Cam. His dominant side is his “real” sexual side. And Domini is surprised by how much she revels in giving over control, as well as how much Cam thrills to her doing so. Domini loves that it is she who can bring out Cam’s alpha side. A side about which Cam is so conflicted – he’s not sure he can be that man because he views himself as incomplete and inadequate, and he’s not sure Domini knows what she’s getting into it and can handle it.

The secondary characters in Shoulda Been A Cowboy, if you can call them that, are delightful. Pretty much the whole McKay family puts in at least one appearance, as do many of their cousins, the Wests. The story is richer for this depth, and it is wonderful to catch up with what is happening with old friends. It also provides almost painterly context for Cam’s concerns and self-doubts. He spends so much time avoiding his family because he is embarrassed about his injuries, and Ms. James shows us how Cam could feel suffocated even if it is by their love and concern. Domini nails it when she finally tells him “Your inability to let your family see, just once, what the damn war did to you physically, makes you emotionally handicapped, and that is way worse than losing your damn leg.”

As always, the McKay women are fine, sassy, independent heroines. Keely is such a fun troublemaker, and her book, “All Jacked Up” can’t come out soon enough for me! The bar scene and ensuing bar brawl with the double-x side of the McKay clan is one of the funniest and yet emotionally honest scenes I have ever read. This is no syrupy women bonding. Interestingly, though you would not think so from their outward personas, Domini and Keely are quite similar underneath.

Ms. James also deftly addressed many tough contemporary issues in Shoulda Been a Cowboy, without sacrificing one iota of the romance or heat. And there seems to be no taboo subject Ms. James fears to broach, including a multiracial ménage. War, disability, Chernobyl, police brutality in the Eastern Bloc, religious groups, nonconsensual medical procedures, spousal and child abuse, and the inadequacies of the foster care system, are all touched upon in some way, always thoughtfully, honestly, and perhaps most importantly, in ways integral to the story.

Shoulda Been A Cowboy is a long and deeply satisfying read. Every single word was needed to build such a richly told tale, with appealing main characters and lots of old friends, scorchingly hot love scenes, and a glorious romance between a couple that faces more obstacles than a military roadblock. If there was a category above Best Book, that’s where I would put Shoulda Been A Cowboy. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Dixie Sinclair spends her days toiling over role playing kits in her high-class adult boutique. Allergic to commitment, she considers sexy Jase Cavannaugh to be the perfect partner for some fun and games. After all, he’s just as noncommittal. The man radiates sexual charisma – she’d be crazy not to.

Jase leaps at the chance to play with the little minx. Something about peeling back the layers of her personality and finding the really Dixie Sinclair appeals to him on a primal level. He believes in working hard and playing harder, and she definitely needs someone that can not only quench her sexual appetite, but match her wit.

Neither Dixie nor Jase is prepared for the chemistry their play ignites; and each role play pushes the envelope on not only their darkest fantasies, but their sworn belief that love is a four letter word.

Cara Carnes has written a tale of sexual exploration and trust that you simply have to read. It’s hot, it’s sexy, and it will make you squirm like a worm on a hook. Never has role-play been so sweet…or so tempting.

The protagonists, Dixie and Jase, endear themselves to the reader immediately. They are both self professed “players” that avoid commitment and emotional ties to their lovers. The remainder of the story will test their resolve to remain unattached, and force each of them to step outside of their comfort zone in order to nurture what may be the most intense and rewarding relationship they’ve ever known.

I loved the role-play scenes, and felt they brought a deeper level of understanding to Dixie and Jase. When they take turns creating unique encounters, and each one only gets hotter and more risqué, you begin waiting with a baited breath to see what happens next. The choice to introduce other people into these play scenes is also well done and artfully plotted, and works beautifully to add depth to the possessiveness both Dixie and Jase don’t want to experience, but eventually, can no longer deny. That is the theme and heart of the story. How do you catch someone that isn’t even aware they want to be caught? And better yet, how do you answer that question when the person is yourself?

This one needs to be on that all important TBR list, without question. The story, characters, and those ultra-steamy play scenes will have you hot and bothered for days. The secondary characters are also equally memorable, and I hope to see one or two of them with their own stories in the future. I loved Sex Games, and I’m certain others will as well.

*Fans self* It’s such a delight to read an erotic novella after a spate of offerings claiming to be erotica but in fact being no more than hot romance. If the latter is what you’re looking for – hot romance – this is not it. What it is, is *fans self some more* a very well written, believable, super-hot *gets glass of ice water from fridge* erotic romance story.

The narrative flows beautifully, so you forget you’re reading and you just enjoy the unfolding story. My only niggle was that I sometimes felt the scene shifted from one point to the other without warning or indication, and I had to backtrack a few sentences to see what I’d missed. The paranormal aspect holds little that’s new – vampires, elves, demons – but she handles these characters in a way that doesn’t leave the reader feeling it’s just another version of the 400,000 other paranormal books out there. Sensuous has a fresh quality to it.

I also picked up that this is one of a series, with references to former events. A quick look at Changeling Press’ website confirmed that this seems to be the third instalment in the Station X series. Though I didn’t feel lost, having not read the previous instalments, I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to read Ravenous and Dangerous before reading this one. Again, it’s not a must, but I think it would enhance the reader’s experience to read the whole series in order.

Kudos must go to the publisher for faultless editing. This is again something readers might know if they’ve read some of my previous reviews – I have many times lamented the ruination of a potentially good book by atrocious editing. Changeling Press shows, with Sensuous, how it SHOULD be done.

I wholeheartedly recommend Sensuous to those who like their reading hot enough to scorch the screen, but well written and perfectly edited.

The voice of an angel, a husband who loved her — she had it all…until a tragedy took it away.

A Linger story.

They called her their Songbird, but she was never theirs. Not in the way she wanted.

The Donovan brothers meant everything to Emily, but rejected by Greer and Taggert, she turned to Sean, the youngest. He married her for love, and she loved him, but she also loved his older brothers.

Her singing launched her to stardom. She had it all. The voice of an angel, a husband who loved her, and the adoration of millions. Until a tragedy took it all away.

Taggert and Greer grieve for their younger brother, but they’re also grieving the loss of Emmy, their songbird. They take her back to Montana, determined to help her heal and show her once and for all they want her. They’re also on a mission to help her find her voice again. Under the protective shield of their love, she begins to blossom… until an old threat resurfaces.

Now the Donovans face a fight for what they once threw away. Only by winning it—and her love—will their songbird fly again.

Warning: Explicit sex, ménage a trois, multiple partners, a committed polyamorous relationship, adult language, and sweet loving.

“Fear. Joy. Sadness. Hope. Love. …” Add steamy intimacy to this line from Songbird and you’ve got the perfect description of Maya Banks’ story. It’s one hell of an amazing and wonderful emotional rollercoaster.

Ms. Banks is a gifted storyteller and you are drawn in from the opening scene—shown, rather than told what is going on, through Emily’s eyes. Indeed, that first five-page chapter sets the stage for the entire story in a totally organic fashion—there is love, loss, a complicated history, complex feelings, running away as a coping mechanism and coming together to heal. It’s all there.

When we meet Emily she is painfully empty and the reason is clear, her beloved husband Sean, a childhood friend, was murdered before her eyes and she blames herself. Glimpses of many different moments from the past are beautifully interwoven with the story of the present as the story unfolds.

Sean’s two surviving brothers find Emily where she is hiding from the world, struggling just to exist, and they bring her home. Ms. Erectile dysfunction has been a general issue among men generic sildenafil tablets and describe as the consistent inability to sustain an erection sufficient for intercourse. That is why the purchase levitra generic medicine has dealt with millions of males around the world have got great relief from this treatment. This buy viagra online medicinal product contains sildenafil citrate which leads for the activation of the penile region and gives a hard and 3 to 4 long hours harder erection naturally without any serious side effects. This helps online levitra http://deeprootsmag.org/2014/05/08/mean-woman-blues/ man to achieve the stiff state of reproductive organ that stays for adequate time during the weekdays then plan your weekend with a dinner to make quality communication. Banks gifts us with a heartrending look at what it means to come home. Greer and Taggert love Emily, but they also grieve their lost brother and wrestle with guilt at being with his widow and uncertainty about whether Emily wants them. And Emily does want them, has always wanted them, but she first has to overcome her own sorrow and guilt. Their journey to one another unfolds in a fascinating and heart-wrenching story.

There is a bit of mystery and suspense that keeps the story moving forward nicely. A couple of villains make appearances and Emily’s father is an easy bad guy to hate. Her interaction with him on a trip to town prods her to clear up why she left.

But Songbird is really a love story, and Ms. Banks provides the richest portrayals of roiling feelings. The feelings themselves defy description, so there is no way I could try to describe Ms. Banks’ glorious prose. Better to let her words speak for themselves: “He kissed her like a man starving. He wasn’t gentle, and yet he was. She couldn’t explain it if she wanted. There was such an urgency. He devoured her lips, but there was such love and caring that tears burned her eyelids.” Really, does it get any better than that?

There were a couple of point of view shifts in the middle of one or two key scenes, but the shifts actually worked. In one, the characters are in that groggy state between sleep and wake, and in the other they are in the middle of an intense conversation about exactly what it would be like for the three of them to make a life – a family – together. Emily, Greer and Taggert go on an incredible journey in this story, so the POV shifts did not detract and could even have been intentional.
Songbird has it all. It is a classic story of grief, sorrow and coping—together and alone—with a deep healing theme, as only Maya Banks can tell it. This means there is also plenty of steamy heat and a nice bit of suspense, all wrapped up in a beautiful package. I would go and buy Ms. Banks’ backlist after reading this story, but Ms. Banks is already an auto-buy for me and I own everything she has ever written. If you don’t, why don’t you? Start with Songbird, but be prepared, you’ll stay up all night reading it and you’ll need plenty of tissues!

On Kalaria, native-born women are a rarity, and Kalaria’s Council of Elders is ever-vigilant that only the best and the strongest clans qualify for a precious Jewel.

Jerran, Loran, Mikah and Kai — leader, healer, trader and warrior — have worked long and hard to win a Jewel, despite Jerran’s “taint” of off-world heritage. Beautiful and seductive, trained from girlhood to be all things to her mates, Shantay is everything half-brothers Jerran and Kai and lovers Mikah and Loran desired.

But jealousy and greed are universal. Because of the machinations of a vindictive courtesan, Shantay is ripped away from her mates by a slaver eager to cash in on the value of a rare and priceless Kalari Jewel, rumored to be the ultimate sex slave.

Her men will follow her into space itself to reclaim The Family Jewel.

What’s that old Shakespearean saying, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”? Shakespeare might have had Zahra in mind when he contemplated the meaning behind the above statement.

In Raina James’ The Family Jewel, Zahra is the vindictive courtesan who conspires against the Black Moon Clan to rip them of Shantay, their Family Jewel. Thrown into a life of slavery against her will and angered by her inability to free herself from the chains that bind her to the evil slave trader, Killian Osphren and Madam Ourtay’s brothel, Zahra’s jealousy, greed, and misperceptions about the life of Kalarian women lead her down a path of destruction. The only question that remains is will it be the destruction of the Blackmoon Clan or the destruction of Zarha? Only time will tell.

The Family Jewel is a book that every man should read when learning how to treat a woman. The men are loving, caring, respectful, and most importantly true to their word. Although the sex is scorching hot, the men cherish Shantay, their Family Jewel, in all the ways a woman should be cherished instead of treating her like a servant or a slave. The emotional bond that develops between all of the characters brings the story full circle. I love how the words dominant, stubborn, and possessive are used to describe Jerran, Loran, Mikah, and Kai, even though their actions prove time and time again that Shantay is the most precious woman in the world to them. In addition, I love how the men welcome her presence and seek her advice on matters that not only affect them individually, but also affect their polyamorous relationship.

Our heroine Shantay is anything but weak. She’s wise beyond her years, has the patience to learn what each of her men need and is able to provide it without losing herself. When she is captured, the reader is able to witness her feistiness and unwillingness to fold at the hands of a malevolent slave trader. Now levitra 10 mg go to the pharmacy store you can simply purchase the medicines online and have it an hour before making love. Wondering why? It is because this hormone, also informally known as cheapest cialis in australia male sex hormone, is what develops a boy into man. But most importantly, never does she lose her faith and trust in her men that they will come for her and when they do, her actions reflect the Queen that she truly is to not only to her men, but also to the Black Moon Clan.

This book warms my heart and puts a smile on my face. The words flow over the pages, smooth, like butter over bread. The scene with Killian Osphren, the malicious slave trader, is so intense that it had me biting my fingernails wondering if her men would get there in time to save her. The ending is awesome and the reason I can’t elaborate more is because I’m afraid that I’ll give too much away. But I will say that Ms. James throws the reader a couple of curve balls toward the end that make you respect and fall in love with the heroine even more just by her actions. So for those of you who have not read Ms. James’ The Family Jewel, you need to finish this review and go purchase it immediately. I’m still smiling as I type this review because of how wonderful The Family Jewel made me feel. The spirit and warmth of the heroine and heroes have the ability to ease whatever troubles you’re struggling with and bring a sense calm, peace, warmth, and love to your heart.

This is definitely a book that you will read more than once and I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends. Two thumbs up to Raina James.

Two vampires, one woman, an eternity of love and desire…if only she’s strong enough…

Midnight Playground, Book 1

London 2069
For as long as Nissa has known about Midnight Playground, the most exclusive of a world-wide network of vampire sex clubs, she has yearned to gain entrance—and to become one of them. Orphaned and alone from a young age, she has nothing to lose and nothing to stop her from indulging in her darkest fantasies.

Hex and his maker, Aleron, have enjoyed many play partners at the club and have often shared in the euphoria of the Seeking Kiss, that sensual blood exchange between vampires and their lovers. But Nissa’s beauty, intelligence and strength is a siren call he can’t resist.. His desire for her and her willingness to let herself be drawn by their mental pull compels Hex to consider offering to her something he’s never given another mortal– the treasured Turning Kiss.

The beautiful vampire pair entice Nissa into an intimate sexual realm beyond her wildest dreams—and she revels in it. But when she finds herself falling for one of the powerful duo, it could mean the end of her deepest fantasies. Or a new beginning she never dared to imagine…

Warning: Three-way vampire sex, voyeurism, exhibitionism, anal sex, oral sex, simultaneous anal and oral sex (oh, yes, it’s possible!), drinking blood, drinking blood while having sex, political unrest , and a hot French accent. Keep a fan and some holy water nearby!

The Seeking Kiss offers a very different concept and approach to the vampire genre. Immortals exist in a future where riots, war, and violence have changed society as a whole. In this reality, there are places referred to as the Midnight Playground; clubs that cater to the vampire population. They are exclusive establishments, with only those chosen or invited allowed inside. And once a human turns thirty, admittance is not permitted. Within the walls, anything goes–sexual games and blood drinking being the norm. One reason of its regulation is because some are making use of this for cialis online mastercard recreational purposes only. This is the crucial portion of the levitra vardenafil generic AV node where ventricular nerve fibers connect. Nitric oxide is a smooth muscle signaling enzyme that functions by relaxing the smooth cheap sildenafil no prescription muscle. Being affected by this health problem seems to be great humiliation to males cheap cialis click these guys as they loss their pride and get a tag of being ‘Impotent’. The humans that venture here hope to experience the Seeking Kiss, a vampire bite that brings consummate pleasure. But even more desired is the Turning Kiss, which will change a human to a vampire.

Let me start by saying, I could envision this somewhat apocalyptic reality. It’s dark, it’s dirty, and it’s dangerous. You won’t just walk through the city streets via the page. You’ll step right inside and take the ride first hand. I love stories with the power to transport you into another world, and this one does exactly that.

Though Nissa is the primary character in the story, I fell in love with Hex and Aleron. Their relationship is based off of mutual adoration and respect, but due to a twist revealed about half-way in, you’ll discover it’s doomed to be bittersweet. I also enjoyed the interaction between Hex and Nissa, who are destined for one another. The chemistry between all three is intense, and the sex is so hot you’ll melt in your seat and steam like a sauna. The only thing I wished for was a bit more back history with Aleron and the tragedy that has stained his life. As there are two future installments, I imagine that the reveal will come in the future.

Vampire lovers the world over will adore this one. Be sure to put The Seeking Kiss on your TBR pile.
