There were parts of this short story that made me cheer because it worked out the conflict of choosing between the two men so quickly but at the same time the same “resolution” felt a little too convenient. Try not to get too hung up on the minor negative I mentioned. Grant has a jealous streak and is clearly the more dominate of the two males but Karl is no pushover. You know where they came from and who they are today without overwhelming this novella with un-necessary details. The move from the M/F interactions into the ménage scene transitions well without being hurried. I honestly enjoyed this story and look forward to what Ms. Haynes may have in store for us next.

I could not get enough of this book! From beginning to end I was eagerly anticipating the next page and then the next. R.G. Alexander has this way of conveying the world she has created so well you can almost picture yourself in it. All in all this is one great book and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

The ending was satisfying and I think this story was the perfect length too.

When a book starts off with the release of two completely unrepentant vampires from prison you just know someone’s life is about to get really complicated really fast. If you’ve picked up a copy of Barbara Elsborg’s The Small Print, you wouldn’t be wrong.

Matty Hobsbawm’s middle name is quite likely “complicated”. How else do you explain her current predicament of living in a house (her house) where she isn’t wanted by the new tenant, mated to not one but two vampires she just met and she’s being completely ignored by just about everyone she meets. That last problem is actually more than just an inconvenience but I can’t say more or it would be a total spoiler. I will say I was into chapter seven when I suspected Matty’s problems were more than her sleeping arrangement and brooding vampires.

Nimrod Turner, or just Turner, was one of the most respected historians in the vampire community. There is so much to this story. If you’ve ever read Ms. Elsborg’s books you’ll recognize her love for fast paced adventures and tension filled plots. Her stories are typically multi-layered without being over complex. The Small Print has the action/adventure, tension and multi-layered plot down in spades. But, I have to admit I wasn’t able to read this one straight through as I did with some of her other stories. As I got deeper into the story and learned more about how the released prisoners tie into the lives of Turner, Chase and Matty I had to go back and re-read certain passages that suddenly made more sense.

I’ve read a couple of other ménage books by Ms. Elsborg and she truly has a voice for these types of relationships. The chemisty between Turner and Chase is just as powerful as it is between them and Matty. The dialogue is witty and overall the story as a whole is very clever and unique.

There is so much more about this book that I would love to comment on including how well Ms. Oak created the mentally unstable villain but it would be to easy to spoil a this very emotionally sweet, sexy and tension filled story. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Small Town Siren and if, like me, you just couldn’t let the story end with their HEA you’ll want to read the follow up Siren of the City as well.

Zarth and Tirian’s family dynamics are interesting, to say the least, and unlike most ménages, the twins don’t start out sharing Kayla so easily which made this a unique story.

Ms. Noreen’s new world is very creative and should capture and keep the readers attention. I recommend this book for fans of fantasy stories, new realms and new creatures with happy pleasurable endings.

When the book first opens, a reader will get the mistaken impression that this tale might focus on only sex. Not by a long shot. Sure, it depicts a very hot and heavy skin scene but that’s just a misleading teaser to a tale that actually has depth and a very real reason for being and is well worth reading.

Carly is a witch who has been burnt by life and has found a way to live with her limitations. What a reader will eventually realize is that the heroine is strong and courageous, yet suffers a serious hurt. She’s lonely and mistrustful but feels she has no choice but to accept her lot in life because no way, no how will she allow herself to be a victim ever again. Her inherent goodness shines though and with all good people who fight back against incredible odds, some day someone will come along who sees there is more than what they’ve been told about this person and sees them for who they really are.

That person is her Controller. I think he’s like a witch’s parole officer or something because he’s got to keep an eye on her. And he is keeping a very close eye on her but he wants his hands on her too, as well as other parts. The conflict is definitely internal and is mostly about earning trust and trusting someone else and then having the courage to reach out to the other despite the risks of being burnt. What made the book extra spicy were the two incubi who were introduced as negligible secondary characters but towards the end, a subtle shift occurred and I wonder if other readers will catch it. I liked the symbol of that growth. I also liked the very cute and creative way the author had Carly deal with her nemesis. It was a nice touch and brought a smile to my face.

If an erotic romance reader is looking for some guaranteed sheet action then this book delivers in a variety of fun and thrilling ways. I enjoyed the dialogue and I also got a kick out of the clever use of format in the beginning and the epilogue. I liked this story all the more because of it.

Cupcakes is a delightful and satisfying short shot of woo-hoo with a bit of magic and mayhem thrown in to keep a reader turning the pages. I had a lot of fun reading this tale and compliment Ms. Hasker on a job well done. I have to wonder about those two Incubi though; they sure were interesting and provided an extra level of heat. I’d love to see them again.

Alexandra knows in her heart that her brother is innocent. She is a strong woman, determined and independent. She feels alone, even while searching with her best friend, and it was great that she clung to the hope of innocence about her brother when all around doubted. I loved the way she went all out, both with her faith, and later, with her passion for the two men with her. She is a caring and compassionate character, and wants the best for all of them.

Conner is sweet, caring, and totally devoted to Alex. But he is smart enough to realize that he will never have her heart the way he wants it, and concedes that point with grace and dignity. Handsome and sexy, he is determined to move on once he sees the truth of Alex’s feelings.

Dirk Claxton is a lone wolf, and at first he is just out to find the rogue to help some friends. But he is smart, handsome and sexy, and I loved the interaction between Dirk and Alex and Conner. Dirk is the strong, silent type, but he is just what Alex needs at this terrible time.

This is a fast paced, suspenseful story, with twists, secrets and hot ménage action. This one gave me some laughter, and lots of tears before the end, but it was worth the experience. Do they find the rogue? Do they have their happy ever after? You’ll have to read this one to find out.
