She doesn’t shy away from the less than pleasant aspects of life, but rather embraces them allowing the reader to see the kind of pain that life inflicts, that people inflict on each other and ourselves. It is only by acknowledging this pain and suffering that we are able to truly appreciate how special and rare love is.

The courtship of Bree by Max is anything but typical, but the more time they spend together the more you see that they are right for each other and perhaps more importantly they are good for each other. When I first met Max I didn’t like him all that much, he was too brusque and oh so British, in that condescending superior way, I completely understood Bree’s desire to slap him. While part of that is his personality, a larger part was Max simply trying to protect himself. He had been hurt so badly and didn’t want it to happen again. It was a refreshing change of pace to have a man be vulnerable and the woman to be the strong one to help him thru.

Lust, Lace & Lingerie is a dark and compelling journey that takes you from the depths of guilt to the redemption that only love can provide. Ms. Evans has created characters so real it feels as if you could meet them walking down the street.

We get to know what makes Simon tick and we see Dana grow up and find her heart not just her enjoyment of their games.

Juniper Bell writes an emotional, sexy story full of love and trust. When Dana and Ethan open up there is no stopping them; add in Simon and you have a force to be reckoned with. This was a wonderful story and I cannot wait to see just what Ethan and Simon have in store for Dana next.

Where Jackson and Phoenix are careful to not push Jessie and are struggling to decide how to tell her their plan, Dallas is straighter to the point. He recognizes the submissive in Jessie and knows that training her may be the key to winning over Austin in the long run.

Don’t forget someone is still out there ready to spoil it all for Jessie and her men. He or she makes their presence known in Running Wilde and someone ends up hurt. You’ll have to read the book to find out who it is!

Ms. Joseph’s Owning Wednesday has everything I look for in a book: a strong story, intriguing characters who grow, a voice that draws you in, and hot, absorbing sex. There were only two edit blips so that’s no big deal. What left me puzzled was the impression I got that quite a few times when Angel had an internal monologue, either Liam or Brody heard her. At no time did I get the sense they were gifted with paranormal talents nor did Angel notice or remark about their amazing mind reading abilities yet that is how it presented. Otherwise, it’s an entertaining book with many well written scenes to satisfy the fans of light bondage and lovers of chocolate fun.

Las Vegas is simply an enjoyable read without any baggage or angst to drag it down. It’s a perfect little story for readers who are looking for a short shot of woo-hoo with optimistic overtones and a cute happily ever after that is just as saucy and hot as the rest of the book. There is a little something for everyone in this anthology. It starts out with the most rough and violent and ends with a light-hearted paranormal romp with some good old-fashioned fantasy stories in between.
