Kenzie Butler is in love with the man who saved her life eight years ago. Her problem? He’s a Siberian were-tiger with the ability to scent his mate, and she wasn’t it. For years they lived across the hall from each other, helping one another with the aftermath from being tortured in a science experiment gone wrong. With each passing day, she falls more in love with him, even while knowing that one day Tiberius will find his true mate.

Tiberius Petrov leads a shadowed life. Kenzie is the only thing standing between him and the gruesome fate awaiting any shifter who goes rogue. For eight years the sound of her voice, the sweet intoxication of her scent, and the soft feel of her skin have kept him from turning down darker paths. But he’d always believed she could never be his. His nose was supposed to tell him who his perfect mate is, but it lied. He didn’t know if it was possible to develop a mate scent. All he knew was one day Kenzie didn’t smell like his mate, and the next day she did. Even after her scent changed, she kept insisting they were perfect as just friends.

After Kenzie survives a mysterious were-bear attack in her place of work, Tiberius learns the scientists altered more than his state of mind. Just when he thought he could take Kenzie as his mate he discovers he could be the biggest threat to her life.

Paranormal romance fans have a treat in store when they pick up their own copy of Going Under. Sure, it has the scent mate thing going on but there’s a definite twist which makes this book a lot more interesting and suspenseful.

I have not read any of the previous books in the series so I was a bit wary of trying #3. No worries – it makes references to a past but this tale is about the here and now and the challenges Tiberius and Kenzie have to face and overcome before they can realize their happy ever after. Poor Tiberius focused so much on the symptoms, no one thought to question the cause.

The one thing that stood out for me was the point the author made about communication. It’s always, always important in a relationship no matter how good it might be. Even if a person thinks they know their partner like a book, assumptions can poison and inadvertently destroy something beautiful. It’s a powerful lesson.

Kenzie is a mixed bag of sweet and saucy, brains and very human. I liked how she calmed Ty down and how she was able to distract him many a time with a sultry look and a suggestive tease. Hers was a fun character that played well off of the big, intimidating weretiger.

Ty a/k/a Tiberius is a mess. Yes, he’s big, surly, powerful and intimidating but he’s a pushover when it comes to Kenzie. She has this hold on him that’s been apparent for years and only now does he recognize what it really means, but readers will find out that even a man as smart and bold as Ty doesn’t know the half of what’s going on. How he deals with it is awesome reading, at times even insightful.

The villain of the piece, the true villain, doesn’t stay on stage for very long but his legacy is legion. The scope is revealed in this novella so readers of the series should be very happy at a potential resolution of one ongoing thread. There’s still something else that hangs over their heads but I won’t say what. The tragic and painful part comes from Ty’s family member. It’s unknown if this person is truly swayed or controlled and influenced to do what was done and continues to do, but it’s destructive no matter which way you look at it. I feel so sad for Tiberius.

Secondary supporting characters like Chad and Demetri and others are an asset to the story, and play well off the personalities of the hero and heroine. Phillip on the other hand is a tool. I mean that in both versions of the definition. He’s an idiot and he’s being manipulated and used against the protagonists for a very human reason. I want to feel sympathy for him, but he’s just too much of a jerk. However, his introduction also paves a way for a very interesting thought – why is Demetri so interested in the reason for Phillip’s collusion? What information did he find? It’s a subtle little hook but it’s good enough for me to wonder what is going to happen in the next book of the series.

As for when Tiberius and Kenzie get physical – readers will have plenty of opportunities to see them in action. Once Kenzie opened the door to that side of their relationship, it didn’t take long for Ty to want to make up for lost time. Have a fan at the ready.

Going Under is a paranormal romance junkie pleaser. It has motivation, suspense, many moments for Kenzie or Ty to prove how deep their love is for each other by what they’re willing to do on behalf of the other. When they are not dealing with the bad guys, the book is fun, frisky and thoroughly entertaining. I believe fans of the series are going to like it and new fans might be hooked just by this tale alone. I know I am. This story is a good read.

I’m glad I picked up this book. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it at first. Romantic suspense isn’t my favorite genre, but I thought, why not? I’m glad I did. I was in for a thrill ride.

Ms Cooper writes with a fluidity that kept me in my seat. I felt like I was there in the thick of things with Rafe and Harper. I was engaged the whole time and didn’t want this book to end.

Speaking of Rafe and Harper, these are two complicated characters. Harper doesn’t believe a man can stick around in a relationship. Most women, me included, can identify with her struggle to trust. She’s also in love with the high of action–she wants to be in the thick of things. That was great. I love strong female characters.

Rafe is another complication, but he’s oh-so-handsome. I’d get complicated with him. He’s torn. Harper reminds him of someone from his past, but if he gets involved with her, will he be able to keep the two separate? He’s got one heck of a conundrum. I liked how he had to work through his feelings. I loved how he and Harper worked together. The sparks are definitely evident.

If you want a book chock full of twists, turns, and white hot realism, then this might be the book for you. Worth the read.

Samantha Moore doesn’t know she’s a werewolf. For years she believed she was a monster until a hot stranger walks into her father’s bar. With the promise of a better life and freedom from a cage, she decides to trust her animal instincts.
Nicodemus Wolcott works for the shape-shifter Tribunal. When he goes to investigate a report of a distressed shifter, he doesn’t expect to find his mate. He can teach his she wolf how to be a werewolf, but his one chance at love could be lost when nothing turns out as it seemed.

Before the Dawn is a sexy short shot of romance, paranormal drama and wolfish delight. It’s a fast paced novella that covers the gamut of what I look for in a book without being too heavy handed on any of its conflicts.
The pills are selling best in market these days viagra mg to treat erectile dysfunctions. Hence to erect your male reproductive organ you should have online viagra try this now until and unless they have erection issue. According to medical survey, men aged 50 to 60 are under high pressure of having ED issues while there are no medical tests to help with this determination, typically through conversation the doctor can online purchase of cialis determine the problem. In the very same way, this drug has see content viagra samples helped a lot of people in enhancing their sexual life and spending a happy life.
Samantha is the heroine who has the most adjustment to make in this tale. She’s been living a lie and what I really liked about getting to follow her on her journey was that nothing was as it first appeared. I was surprised, which is a credit to the author’s talent. Samantha has a great capacity for forgiveness despite what she’s gone through. I credit that to her mostly normal upbringing when she was her littlest.

Nicodemus has his hands full. He’s the man who has to juggle all the issues and problems Samantha unknowingly carries with her and I liked that the hero was written in a strong manner. Admittedly he comes across as an alpha jerk too. But for all his heavy handedness, I appreciated that he liked Samantha standing up to him and refusing to take any of his guff. When they butt heads it is fun and entertaining reading. I got to see Nicodemus at his wolfie best and that was fun too.

When Samantha and Nicodemus finally culminate their hot passion it was well done and nicely balanced within the action of the tale. I liked their dialogue, their push/pull relationship and the way the author had them work it all out.

Granted, it being a short story means things happen fast. Some jumps occur that seems way too convenient and improbable; but having the protagonists plod their way through logic and strict reality would have bogged down the story and stalled the fast pace. I guess something had to give. Who needs pesky logic when the story is so fun?

The villains were delightfully treacherous and nasty and I enjoyed how the author lead me through the dawning realization of just how insidious were their plans. It made the final confrontation satisfying.

I give Before the Dawn high marks for entertainment value. It is totally a standalone read with only minor references to the previous book, Dark Forest. This story is wholly focused on Samantha and Nicodemus with a few interesting secondary characters to spice things up. It’s a one sitting read due to the author’s talent of making each chapter even more interesting or revealing than the last. I think paranormal romance readers are going to like this one, especially if they enjoyed Dark Forest. Ms. Weylin knows how to weave a fun tale.

Bran Lawson is an ancient druid under a faery curse. When he encounters a half-faery woman, he feels the draw of a mate. Wanting the happiness denied to him for so long, he does the one thing he thought he’d never do. He asks the gods for help.

Irresistibly drawn to Bran, Kenna Fitzpatrick discovers he is her mate. When given the chance to free him from his curse, giving one more person the chance to abandon her, she must choose between her heart’s desire and giving Bran his freedom.

Anyone remember Zerek from Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series? The hero, Bran a/k/a Law, in Druid’s Wish reminds me of him. There’s a twist to this story that is very reminiscent and I grin thinking about it. I adored Zerek and Law is just as, if not more so, likable. The major difference for me is that Law is a lot more fun to be around and he has a lust for life and isn’t quite so negative when dealing with people he calls friends.

They maintain that proficiency requires twenty to generic cialis online deeprootsmag.org thirty trials under real conditions. You need to know if you are acidic or viagra levitra cialis not. One such buy viagra without rx topic is buying medicine online through online pharmacies and also drugstores. Also, regular exercises improve the tadalafil on line level of the male sex hormone called testosterone. The one thing they have in common is having anger issues. But that is where the similarity ends. Law has some wonderful friends, tried and true and they have each other’s backs. He has a unique skill set and talent and he has a very interesting parentage. In fact, it plays a key role in how he ends up doing what he does and why he’s doing it. He’s not a very happy camper when I first met him in the story and once I read the book, it’s quite understandable.

Wait, I said Law has anger issues. He does. Every time he went a little nuts, and most of that had something to do with Kenna, the heroine, he got really aggressive, almost like a berserker, but not. I thought it was a bit too much during the story but then realized something. Law is like the Hulk from the Avengers movie. He doesn’t turn green, but he’s always angry. And that made me like him all the more because Kenna is his peace and I was very much entertained by the dynamics between the two of them.

The author cracks me up. Her heroine, Kenna, knits. And I laughed some more when Kenna was jealous because someone else was knitting things for Law. That was the cutest thing I’ve read in a while and is certainly a very unique reason for jealousy. I liked it.

I got to see Rune and Clover again in this book and that was a treat. Gypsy was there too and a few other secondary characters which made this book even more fun to read. However, this tale can be read as a standalone no problem because Ms. Weylin provided enough background for a new reader in a very natural and easy manner. There are even some new characters that I enjoyed getting to know.

The author also created some effective drama and suspense. The evil guys are truly a nasty bit of work. They deserved what they got but in the meantime, they made life a total misery for Kenna. Just who exactly was out to get her totally floored me. Thank goodness Law came on the scene to rescue her. It took a bit of convincing on Law’s part to make her believe that he truly could withstand and vanquish the bad guys, eventually, with a little help, but he finally did. That was some fascinating writing.

The happy ever after was well done. I was so happy for Kenna but more so for Law because of everything he went through. He deserved to be happy, content and surrounded by his family, as unconventional as everyone turned out to be. It won’t be smooth sailing because of their personalities but it will never be boring.

Druid’s Wish was a really good read with a fascinating plot and interesting characters. I am so relieved that Law has his own happy ever after and Kenna is perfect for him. Now I have to wonder about Boden. How in the world is Ms. Weylin going to help him? He’s in a bit of a pickle the likes of which I’ve never seen. I can’t wait to find out if he can find some sort of happiness too, and if the author does intend to ever write his story, rest assured it will be an auto-buy. I like this world she’s building and I would love to visit again. As it is, Druid’s Wish is a wonderful addition.

Clover has a peculiar effect on men—they turn into homicidal lunatics. She decides to swear off men and gives up her dream of the perfect boring suburban life. She hadn’t counted on finding a very large, very yummy Viking in her favorite part of the library courtyard. Clover finds she has to trust this Viking, because she’s in danger from gangsters hunting her to collect on her brother’s debts.

Rune is a thousand-year-old Viking trying to escape from a curse. He must fall in love with the woman the gods choose for him or suffer eternity in Norse Hel. Nine times he’s tried and nine times he’s failed. This is his last attempt. Resigned to his doom, he vows to save Clover from the gods’ petty games before his death. As the last round of the gods’ game begins, Rune discovers there are worse things than losing his soul.

A book that can make me laugh out loud or giggle is a keeper. Spell Bound not only has a terrific sense of fun and adventure, it also has a lot of heart and enough external and internal conflict to keep me wide-eyed with fascination. It has spells and curses, and the most wicked of all is the curse of a very devious and obsessive compulsive Loki.

I had my first taste of Ms. Weylin’s writing style in the short story, Dark Forest. As amazing as that snippet was, I wondered at the time what she could do with a longer story length and I found my answer in reading Spell Bound. She knocked my socks off.
Not able to understand speech and language is also main sign. mastercard cialis online People can also chat with experts if they don’t want to hide it from the public now because now I have my potential back. buy cheap cialis Nursing points of seminal fast generic cialis vesicle inflammation. The only reason that this book isn’t a solid five star book was because the editing wasn’t flawless. There was a word spelled completely wrong and a few words that should have been plural, but weren’t. Truly, those are the only issues with this story. I cannot fault anything else. I loved the hero, Rune. A man who’s lived under a curse for a thousand years, he has had the time to become bitter and angry but he never did. It’s said that once a man meets the right woman, he’ll be a better man. It certainly is true in this book. With Clover, he finds himself wanting to be truthful instead of feeding her a rehearsed ‘safe’ line that he’s used with every woman before. He found that he could laugh with Clover and eventually, learn what to love and be loved is all about. This tale is as romantic as a book can get.

Clover is simply adorable. Okay, so she cries at the drop of a hat but what would be annoying and weak in another character, is a sign of strength and character in the heroine. It’s endearing and how it affects the hero is profound. In fact, it’s one of the things he ends up loving about her. You have to read the book to understand why. The heroine is funny, clever, interesting and well rounded. Clover and Rune are spectacular together.

My absolute favorite section of the book is when Rune met his biological dad. As soon as Clover quipped, “These are not the droids you are looking for”, I was a goner. What came after was one of the most fun dialogue and character interactions I have read in a long time. It’s what made this book go from a good read to a fantastic read. I could relate to Clover because she loved the same movies I do and she conversed the same way as I do with my own friends – movie quotes. Ms. Weylin is an author after my own heart.

Ironically, the villains of the tale aren’t necessarily villainous. They’re…like Loki in the recent Thor movies. Not totally bad, certainly not virtuous, just gods being gods – you know, bored, moronic, petty and prone to self-centeredness. When Rune tells one of them a glaring truth, it was pivotal. It showed me that he finally did understand what true love was about, and his words struck home as probably nothing ever said to a god before had ever done. It wasn’t until the ending that I got to see the fruit of Rune’s words. Again, it’s romantic. And sweet and yes, even humorous. However, there is one true villain in the piece and his demise is short, sweet if a little gruesome. But then again, what can one expect from a Viking and a Celt?

Secondary characters are key. I liked Law and want to know more about him. He has his own issues but Ms. Weylin certainly fleshed him out enough while he helped Clover and Rune for me to want to see him find his own happy ever after someday. He’s intriguing and sexy in his own right.

Speaking of sexy, when Rune and Clover get together, it’s steamy, sexy, romantic, sometimes funny but in all ways that count, perfect. I loved the build-up, the seduction, and when they finally culminated their passion, I was a very happy reader.

Spell Bound is a true delight and a worthy read for any paranormal romance reader. It has an adventurous race against time, the breaking of curses, mixed up family dynamics, laughter, sexy seductions and a happy ever after that can inspire an ear to ear grin. I heartily recommend this book and this author to other readers. Ms. Weylin sure knows her craft and I’m thrilled I discovered her.

Evil is stalking the citizens of Dark Forest. Now it’s up to a red-hooded woman and the werewolf determined to make her his mate to track down the killer before he strikes again. Dark Forest is author Emma Weylin’s sexy retelling of a classic fairy tale. Sometimes, even the big bad wolf can be oh-so-good!

Rose Merrin is attracted to the one man in Dark Forest suspected of murder. Self-preservation and the townsfolk’s eagle eyes keep her from knowing his touch, even when everything about him calls to her. But when another murder shocks Dark Forest, and a girl who could be her sister disappears, her life becomes dependent on the one man no one trusts.

Aiden Hyde holds a dark secret. Proving his innocence would reveal his werewolf heritage. When a new werewolf in town sets his sights on Rose, he has no choice but to step in and protect his mate—whether she knows it or not.

I was in the mood for a quick romance and a little paranormal hijinks and what I found was a fantastic, fast moving, well rounded short story. I don’t know how Ms. Weylin fit everything in, but I think it’s because she focused on what makes a story work. It was the fastest hour of my day.

Dark Forest introduced a typical werewolf story with some unusual elements. It hinges on how the author created her hero, Aiden. I liked the level of angst that plagued him, how he accepted his role in the town and how he always tried to do the right thing – even if it cost him his happiness.

I also enjoyed the manipulations of a loving grandmother towards her granddaughter, Rose. If I’m not mistaken, it sounded as though the heroine, Rose, has some OCD issues, or it could be anxiety attacks. One thing that tickled me is that when things really came to a head, the heroine proved without a doubt that she has a backbone of steel when something, or someone she loves, is in danger.

Although the novelette doesn’t have time to really delve into either Aiden’s or Rose’s point of view as much as it might have, the author presented enough to make me believe that their romance, their falling in love, and their willingness to commit to the other, despite the unusual bumps in the road, was natural and acceptable. Even though this tale is told from both points of view, the author didn’t make either one omniscient. There were enough surprises to please me.

The sex was incredibly steamy, seductive and well written. It was just enough to make me happy.

The villain erupts on the scene fast and there were no surprises as to whom the culprit was regarding the town’s current mystery. As brief as he was, the author painted him with an effective swipe of the ‘nasty brush’ to make me believe he was a bounder, a sick individual and a worthy antagonist.

Give Dark Forest a whirl if you want a surprising gem of a read. What it doesn’t have in quantity, it makes up for in quality. I quite enjoyed myself.

Lexis Morgan returned to New Orleans just after Hurricane Katrina devastated the city. Determined to focus on rebuilding her interior decorating business and saving her home, Alex has no time for relationships. She refuses to fall into the same trap that her mother fell into and become involved with a married man. Then, the soon-to-be-married Elliot Walker storms into her life, tempting her to forget the hard lessons she learned as a child.

Businessman Elliot Walker is the youngest, and only adopted, son of a wealthy and prominent New Orleans family. The Walkers’ natural children are models of society and Elliot will do no less. Once his older brother marries, Elliot knows their mother will push him to marry the woman she believes is perfect for him, a high-powered attorney with a thirst for money, power, and sex. With six months to go before his wedding, Elliot hires Alex to redecorate his home. Suddenly, keeping his mother happy by marrying Rachel, a woman he’s beginning to realize he barely knows, isn’t as important as having Alex in his arms. But Rachel intends to have it all, and she’s willing to murder to get it.

“From where he stood on the twenty-fifth floor of his office building, the early morning and the view itself seemed picture perfect.”

Elliot Walker, CEO and founder of Walker Way, may have felt life was picture perfect, but it was anything but until he walked into Accents and Ambience, a business owned by Alexis Morgan. Elliot is engaged to marry Rachel Evans in six months and he hires Alexis to decorate and furnish his home by the wedding date.

Alexis’s bright personality and even brighter clothes opened Elliot’s eyes to way more than he signed up for. With his wedding date approaching he realizes that he and his fiancé do not really share the qualities and spunk he would like to have in a marriage mate. Elliot wants to call off the wedding, but for status and financial sake the lovely Rachel Evans is not having it. She uses her attorney status and jailbird cousin connection to her advantage. But when her cousin takes a liking to Alexis, Rachel turns into a bridezilla and action must be taken to insure she makes it to the altar.

This is a lively tale that caught my attention right off. Elliot is from a wealthy family and his mother handpicked Rachel to be her daughter-in-law. It’s no secret that Elliot was adopted, and to him it seems his mother pushes him harder because of that. Elliot has to be a strong, confident man in order to be the CEO and founder of Walker Way, so it puzzles me as to why he couldn’t decide if he wanted to be married and to whom. I can understand Elliot wanting his mother’s approval and love but it seems his mother was into his personal life a little bit more than a mother should be for a grown man.  It seemed that his mother valued their family image more than she valued what her son wanted or needed. Rachel was all wrong for him and considering his family has so much money and a high-rolling status, it’s odd they didn’t think to investigate or look into Rachel’s past or current malicious motives.

I wanted to like Alexis, but as the story went on I was torn as to liking her and not liking her. She knew Elliot was engaged but she seemed to make herself needy in calling him every day. Maybe I just wanted her to let Elliot resolve his issues with Rachel before she jumped into the mix. Especially if she didn’t want to repeat her mother’s history. Elliot would see her one day and then go days without contacting her and then she would see him with his fiancé Rachel. One evening after seeing him with Rachel, she made it her mission to win Elliot.

The author has secondary characters that add more interest to the novel. I can see a drama-full spin off happening to elaborate on the other Walker family members personal lives and I’m sure they have plenty more family secrets to come.

The setting happening right after the destruction of Hurricane Katrina is very touching and an appropriate setting for Alexis’s business of decorating and design. Not to mention including Alexis’ friends, Jade and Ty, celebrationg their restaurant re-opening all tied into the clean up and rebuilding after their return to New Orleans. One note, there is the mention of attempted rape in this book. This might be a turn off for some, but don’t let it deter you from reading this book.

Picture Perfect is a winning novel that delivers an entertaining read of family secrets and drama. A reader will not go wrong with this story.

I keep finding myself searching for wolf traits in my personality half-believing I might be a long lost shifter at heart. I have grown to love this series and look forward to each new saga.

Dream-mystic Faith discovers her wolf side quite by accident when a forced shifting takes place in Mexico. She’s finally able to set her wolf free by working security detail on the island that has been calling for her return for many years. What a shock it is to Faith to discover not only that there is another Kane brother on the island but that he’s her predestined mate.

Soon Theo and Faith find themselves working together to flush out the enemy among them. Despite the physical and mental repercussions they both have had to endure, you’ll love how these two lovers secure their happiness before the wolf-shifters are all destroyed.

Ms. Royce has discovered the secret of writing her werewolf creations in such away to express their dual natures when ultimately they are one and the same-being. I love the witty dialogue and banter between the simplistic thinking wolf and it’s emotional charged human counterpart. I find this unique and enjoyable.

I suggest anyone interested in this series to start from the beginning as each story is riveting and exciting; however I’m impressed with how each book covers enough background material to insure it can be a stand alone novel.

This particular story, though furthering the drama of the werewolves fate, focuses mostly on Faith and Theo and their lives, their past and how to unlock the mysteries that ultimately will decide their futures. I have really enjoyed the fact that these two characters accepted each other at the beginning of the tale and found themselves working together as a team to solve the drama of discovering who has betrayed them. The secondary characters are insightful and informative. You can feel the sense of evil in the development of this serial making this paranormal realm invigorating and thrilling. Each new addition to the Westervelt Wolves series entices us with a nibble of upcoming exploits making one anticipate reading about the Kane brothers, their new mates and the battle between good and evil.

Looking for an enchanting fable with scintillating and enigmatic plots, a sense of family unity, and a succulent romance that engages your imagination and satisfies your sense of adventure? Then Wolf Reborn might be the book you have been searching for.

When tragedy strikes her family, Summer is forced to come back to the world of the Westervelt Wolves…and into the arms of Cullen Murphy.

Cullen has waited three years for Summer, having promised her mother he would give her time to grow up. But he’s never forgotten his mate and craved her presence since he first saw her on the battlefield three years earlier. The trouble is, now that Cullen has Summer, he has no idea what to do with her. Three hundred years of being alone has left Cullen socially inept and more lonesome than he would ever admit. He lives with the guilt and shame of his deeds, while knowing his role is pivotal to the pack’s survival.

Together, Cullen and Summer will heal each other’s wounds and discover that life is worth living as long as they are together. Now there’s just the little matter of Kendrick and Claudius, their evil henchmen, the army of miscreant wolves, and the demons that keep attacking. If they can survive, their love will be everlasting. But failure will mean not only their destruction, but the end of the Westervelt Wolves.

When love is eternal, failure is not an option.

Three years ago Summer found out that she was a wolf-shifter in a painful and scary way. She’s waited ever since for Cullen to claim her, and when he doesn’t, she feels rejected and hurt. When a family tragedy brings Cullen back into her life, can these two find love in the mist of heartache? Can she continue to deny her mate even when a vision reveals Cullen’s eventual death?

Summer is beautiful and talented. She’s also the mate to a 300 year old werewolf. Pack Enforcer Cullen and Summer meet for the first time at the end of Ms. Royce’s first Westervelt Wolves book, Her Wolf. Cullen knows immediately that Summer is his destined mate but makes an agreement with her mother to wait until Summer is out of school before he acts on it. This is the second book in the Westervelt Wolves series and it just keeps getting better and better. Rebecca Royce has shown herself to be a leading authority on hot werewolf romance! I am excitedly awaiting the next installment in this well written drama. This intense, yet sensual, book is a fine stand-alone as well as a good continuation. It covers the details needed from the previous book well enough to keep up without backtracking to previous works. I find this refreshing and appreciated when reading and reviewing a serial novel.

The background story shows us a psychotic ex-alpha named Kendrick Kane who is trying to kill the Westervelt Wolves and their mates. This brings about many fantastical creations as magic is used in battle giving us a compelling new paranormal saga.

Ms. Royce has done a fantastic job of bringing her lupine characters to a humanist way of life. Cullen, a tortured soul who has lived the life of an assassin, is complicated, loyal, and sweet. He’s seen many years of horrific things in his life, yet he still cannot help but fumble when talking to his mate. We see the insecurities that accompany relationships expressed well in these characters.

Summer on the other hand shows us just how young she really is. With much growing up still left to do, we see her as facing life’s tragedies and making lemonade. She’s hanging on to humanity by a thread by denying her inner wolf. When forced to battle evil with Cullen we discover she’s actually quite strong in her own right and capable of deep love given time. Ms. Royce has a way of breathing LIFE into her characters, leaving the reader with a refreshing new story to add to our werewolf fantasies.

The sexual tension in our two main characters is electrifying and sizzles. We see that eventually there has to be a huge showdown between the alphas, but reading the developments in each new book is exciting and anticipated. This action-packed fable depicts an inner dialog with wolf and man that shows us how the shifters need balance to co-exist. I found it fascinating that the wolf can argue with the man when they are indeed one and the same. This reader thought this to be original and fun.

If a new werewolf series is in the cards, then Summer’s Wolf might just be the book to add to your reading list.

Megan Slayer takes us back to Ohio, and to the trials and tribulations of early days and long distance relationships. I love her small town stories, and this is a wonderful visit to Kenton, Ohio for the holidays. The characters, even the secondary ones, and strong and many faceted, with emotions that run high and all over the spectrum.

Chase is the gorgeous musician, writing songs that show the world his softer side. He has a big dose of insecurity in him, and watching him on this roller coaster ride was really fantastic. He is loyal and honest, and still getting used to being in this relationship. I like Chase, with his highs and lows, and his fears all out there in the open for all to see.

Raylan is the more serious of the couple, but still has his own share of insecurity. All he knows for sure is that he wants to be with Chase and no one else.I liked that he was ready to stand up to the ghosts, and people, from his past to defend what he feels for Chase, and I loved his strength and desire for the man he loves.

Chase and Raylan are great together, but they are also major ‘drama queens’ where their emotions are involved. This is the story of a new relationship, and the pitfalls that can come between two people in love if they aren’t careful. I really enjoyed the little things these two did for each other, and there is one big surprise Raylan has for Chase that I don’t want to reveal here. But it is the high point of the story, that one perfect moment when you just know these two have something real and beautiful between them.

I recommend this to those who love happy ever after, but one warning: tissues and ice in equal measures are needed for this one.
