Everyone in the state of Georgia believes expanding the Savannah Port is the single-most important economic development project in the entire state. Everyone except Marine Biologist Claire Robertson that is. When Claire goes missing, Private Investigator Ray Fontaine agrees to search for her. At first Ray thinks finding her will be an open and shut case.

By law they buy canadian viagra are not required to have so many oral medicines to treat an erectile disorder. take into account that sexual impotence isn’t a curable condition, but it is able to be palliated with positive oral ED tablets. I’ve purposely not gone into detail here because the important point is lowest prices viagra that both diaphragms must be strong and not in a weakened state or we will find ourselves being frustrated (I mean suicidal) on a routine basis (like poor old Ben). This happens order cheap levitra since there is no such thing like lesser results if you eat food with the medicine. But behind Savannah’s Gothic facade, everyone has a secret. As Ray begins to peel back the layers, he uncovers a growing list of suspects. To solve the case, Ray must put himself, and those he cares about, in mortal danger.

Private investigator has been called on the case to locate missing Claire Robertson. Claire is a marine biologist that is going against what some residents think could bring jobs to the city. She also recently had an altercation with her ex-fiance after calling off their wedding. Is Claire being missing just a coincidence or is there a darker reason behind her disappearance?

Savannah Gone is a quick read that is told in first person. While on the trail investigating Claire’s disappearance, Ray Fontaine does a lot of talking in his own humorous way. I give the author props for bravery in having his own original style but some of the wording and descriptions used were words that I found weird and unedited. While I am reading I have to stop and question who talks like this? “…fiddled with the radio, I hoofed it inside…, On my left, a wrinkled old bird with a steel wool beehive roosted behind her desk.” The character has a different style of humor. I’m not saying it’s bad and others may enjoy it but I just found it weird and not very humorous.

The story was more about Ray’s opinion, and his life and not enough of a connection given about the victim Claire. One short description was given about Claire in the beginning of the book, but not enough for me to connect or have any kind of feelings about her or for me to have concern that she was missing. And when Claire is found, the story lacked details of what actually happened. Ray, seeming to be in his own world, goes on with his investigation with no concern for Claire’s or her parents’ well being. I would have liked to have read more about the victim, with a little bit of Ray’s life and behavior. This book was just the opposite.

I am not a reader that is a stickler for historical details, but I did find it interesting how the author included detailed scenes and tidbits about Savannah and the surrounding areas. Even though I didn’t find Ray to be a likable character I can say he loves and care for his daughter, Megan. Ray is also dedicated in solving Claire’s missing persons case, even going without proper sleep. The plot was interesting to read about the scandal surrounding the dredging and heavy ecological price to the city. Even though Ray could be a little bit pushy, the trail of interviews were entertaining. And with Ray’s list of suspects increasing I wasn’t really sure who was behind Claire’s kidnapping. So there is a little suspense built on who was responsible for Claire’s disappearance.

I wouldn’t classify this as a gripping suspense novel, more along the line of a high strung private investigator who does more interrogating than that of asking questions. Perhaps not something I would read again, but certainly something that help my interest throughout.  Those who enjoy old-fashioned detective stories might enjoy this much more than I did.

Blue is always the good girl, and being the saint to all once again steps up to take care of her nephew, but will her sister Calla reveal secrets that could damage the family as they know it?

An enjoyable read with a unique plot that, for the most part, kept my interest. There were a few areas that fell below the line of entertaining. Perhaps those scenes could have been omitted or in some way added to the storyline to make it more interesting versus making the story drag. This may sound weird but I enjoyed the author’s writing style more in the first part of the book better than I did the latter part. What I mean by that is the first part of the book revealed Blue, her thoughts and her feelings. The author wrote lines that had a poetic flow but as the novel went on it lost that style. It’s possible Blue started out as a strong woman willing to take a stand for what she wanted, going against her family and ending a relationship that she knew wasn’t for her. I liked that Blue. I didn’t like the lighter shade of Blue, the one that was submissive to the alpha male. All the ‘you are mine’ and ‘who do you belong to’ just wasn’t that appealing to me. Blue was a woman that had be through enough why did she have to be broken down to being someone’s property? And being property to a man that she desired? Is this the behavior of the motorcycle clicke, well perhaps so. Why couldn’t Blue and Shadow be a power couple where Shadow is the man without all that extra “I am alpha” male?

Calla is the big sister no one wants to have. I mean really how disruptive and disrespectful can one sister be? These two are totally opposites. Blue is loving and motherly and Calla is all about herself and making everyone else’s life hell. But without Calla this story wouldn’t have all the juice and drama because it seems Calla laid the bricks to put some of the drama in motion. Mr. Perfect Boyfriend Jamie also did his share to add to the drama. So hands down this author knows how to create the unlikable character and bring a few servings of drama to make a novel that is sure to satisfy it’s readers. Who can turn down a sister revealing a few family secrets and a man with a vendetta? Let’s not forget the sizzling attractions between Blue and Shadow. Though I felt their relationship lacked development, and that they just jumped right into the physical, their physical action is sure to give readers a steamy pleasing rating on the sensual scale.

For a reader who may not prefer to read profanity, this would not be a book that I would recommend. There is also an over usage of the word “God” during character conversation.

This book series has potential and I would like to see how the family of bikers react to the ending devastating consequences so I would give this author another try. Though it’s not high on my ‘you must read’ list I would still recommend this to those that enjoy a hot sensual read with plenty of drama.

In 1850, opposition to the Fugitive Slave Law grows in Philadelphia. Phyllis Lewis uses her job as a boarding house cook to expose the bounty hunters who seize runaway slaves. The Guardian was a book that actually surprised me. It actually turned out to be a good read. With the beginning starting some what blindly as to not giving a description of the main narrating character I was some what thrown off. Phyllis’s name wasn’t revealed until several pages well into the book. After giving it much thought, and even though this was odd I really didn’t mind the lack of description of Phyllis. This gave the novel a different feel; with only knowing that Phyllis is of mixed race I felt I was allowed to give Phyllis a face that I wanted to see her as. As I think more on it maybe the author doesn’t want the reader to focus on the characters visual appearance. The actions of the characters made them likable or unlikable. And Phyllis was definitely a character that I found to be very likable and heroic.

Phyllis took pride in her duties as a cook for Mrs. Saltonstalh and those visiting the local boarding house. However, when first approached by Seth to be a helper against the Fugitive Slave Law she was some what hesitant. As events play out and Seth is actually taken by slave catchers Phyllis steps up and actually begins to lead a plan of action to find Seth.

This was a pleasant read that I found quite interesting and entertaining. At times the author got a little wordy and gave a little too much detail but he quickly recovered and found his way back to the meat of the novels outline. I am quite pleased that I stuck with the book and gave it a chance because it turned out that I became so involved in the plot and wanted to see how the story played out. I like that the women had a play in the movement and that they had a voice and played an important roll showing strength and courage during a time that women weren’t seen to have a voice. Even Katherine used the skills that she had to get the necessary information that was needed to help carry out their plan.

I enjoyed the plot and the strategy of how the story played out. The story is unique to me and I have to mention it was well written and told in a fashion that left me in suspense up until the finale was revealed. Only one issue I could mention would be that Mrs. Phyllis being a married woman was away from her husband for three months. Even though it was for a good cause, I found it odd that she would leave her job and husband for the cause of finding stolen freed slaves. Just in case it’s not understood this was a highly risky plan that was set in place that could have easily played out with unfavorable results.

Overall the book is enjoyable, gave a pleasing message of courage and determination to help those that were in need of help. It is a heartfelt read that people would actually risk their life in hopes to help others find and keep freedom. That in itself speaks volumes of the love for humanity and it’s right to be free. This is a novel that I found unique and would recommend this story of courage to anyone that is looking for an adventure that will keep them occupied until the last word of the novel is read.

Being around his family and friends and keeping up with his mother and father that have been divorced for quite some time seems to be efficient enough to keep him occupied. When Summer and Autumn Waverly move in next door he finds even more to keep him occupied.

Executive Desires is a cute, fun read that revolves around the love of family, friends and people of success. I enjoyed the story for the most part. The family get-togethers were heart warming and refreshing to read about. The multiple family and friend names mentioned shows that this family is one that not only multiplies but believes in keeping family first and close.

There wasn’t much of a mystery to which twin Bo would end up. The different personalities between the twins made for an interesting twist. One twin that likes the lime light and the other that enjoy being behind the scenes. I liked that the women were both strong and business minded and able to handle their own in making a proficient gaming business.

To avoid spoilers, I won’t state who Bo falls for. However, I think their relationship wasn’t really shown in detail. They started saying I love you pretty quickly in the relationship. I would have liked to have read more about how they got to know each other, how they built up to something more serious.

This family is an enjoyable one to read about. This is book 10 in the series, so I am not sure if the author will continue on with the series but if she decides to I’ll be sure to read the next installment. This is one I would recommend to a reader that enjoys a good vibe of a close net family that definitely shows a lot of love.

THEY WERE MARKED FOR DEATH. The last words Nick Walton hears from his fiancée, Logan Somervile, are in a terrified mobile phone call from her. The police are on the scene within minutes, but Logan has vanished, leaving behind her neatly parked car and telephone.

That same afternoon, workmen digging up an old asphalt pat in a park in another part of the city, unearth the remains of a young woman in her early twenties, who has been dead for 30 years.

At first, to Roy Grace and his team, these two events seem totally unconnected. But then another young woman in Brighton goes missing and another body from the past surfaces. Meanwhile, an eminent London psychiatrist meets with a man who claims to know a piece of information about Logan. Later Roy Grace makes the chilling realization that this one thing is the key to both the past and the present . . . Brighton has its first serial killer in over eighty years.

Logan Somerville has gone missing, and other women are vanishing as well. Workmen have discover skeletal remains of a young woman that has probably been dead for 30 years. The past and the future of these women all have something in common. Will Detective Superintendent Roy Grace and his Major Crime Team be able to save Logan and any future women from this twisted killer?

From the first chapter the suspense started and I was drawn in. Leading character Roy Grace is in the process of moving, preparing a eulogy for the death of a fellow officer, someone he once loved that went missing may have been spotted and now women are being kidnapped, and skeletal remains have been discovered. Roy has a lot on his plate. He is a hard worker, a lover of his family and teammates and a man that is dedicated to saving the women of Brighton. Roy is a strong character, and I like that he is written in human likeness showing him dealing with life’s conflicts.

The author goes in great detail to display the case from the fear and cries of the kidnapped victim, the killer with his reason and ways of tracking his next project and finally Roy’s detective skills in tracking down this killer. I love the author’s writing style. He tells details and builds a visual but doesn’t over do it. The suspense is on target, and the plot is so amazingly well thought out and planned all the way to the very end. The main character is well defined in his personal life and his work life. There are an over whelming number of character names mentioned but the author didn’t try to go in to unnecessary details about them.

I am a reader that doesn’t typically like to read lengthy novels. However I found each page a pleasure to read.  Each was filled with such suspense and I was so wrapped up in how the story would play out, the length of the novel didn’t even phase me. This is a pleasurable read and as a reader this book left me saying ‘I am so glad I picked this book’. The novel revealed the reason behind the kidnapping and killing and also ended with surprise suspense meaning I will be reading the next book in the Roy Grace series.

This book is highly recommended for those that enjoy a well researched suspenseful novel that is sure to give its reader a thrilling heart pounding climax.

Concealing her attraction proves difficult indeed, especially when the therapy involves his sensuous, powerful hands all over her body. And it becomes even more difficult when she realizes he’s as hot for her as she is for him…

Hurts So Good is a short sweet novel of love lost and found. Krista is injured during a horseback riding lesson. Severe pain has her making an appointment with a physical therapist. Could this injury be the key to her finding the man she once let go?

The writing is clear, enjoyable and all from Krista’s point of view. The characters are both physically fit and athlete, however, I really didn’t care to much for Krista’s. She was suppose to be in such pain but seemed so desperate. She reminisces about Tony a guy she once dumped. I know it’s a short story but Krista’s character just seemed kind of undeveloped. Why or what made her reminisce and want Tony now?

The physical therapist and male character, Antonio’s, description doesn’t match or even resemble the man shown on the bookcover. This maybe misleading to readers. Antonio is told to be handsome with an attractive build, this is very good eye candy for readers to imagine as they read. The attraction Krista has for Antonio is obvious, because it seems her lustful eyes over shadow the pain from her injury. I liked how the author gave a little teaser having Antonio not only committed to his job as a therapist but very knowledgeable, and he ensured that his client received the best care under the circumstances.

The author seems to be well versed about horseback riding and physical therapy techniques. The description of the process of riding is very interesting and I even learned a few things about riding. The love scene were hot and sure to make any reader blush.

Recommended to those that enjoy a quick happy ending about rekindled lovers.

Two young people with a complex family life find their introduction in His Diamond Queen. Rachelle’s father is a man of power and status, and this brings about many enemies, which in turn opens up a position for Jay Price as Rachelle’s personal body guard.

Besides their chemistry and attraction drawing them together, I just didn’t see this couple fitting together with conversation of things they have in common nor did I see them growing as a couple. Though the attraction was one that could not be denied the sex scene just seem forced or out of place to me. It was kind of like they realized they were alone and said hey let’s have sex. There was no type of romance or special evening planned just straight to the do. In the first part of the book their relationship wasn’t one I enjoyed reading about. In the beginning they were hating each other as well as denying their attraction; they had sex and then were in love and were inseparable. I would have like to see them spending quiet moments together first and then working their way to the intimate moments. The author didn’t let me down though. After about half way the book is when they started sharing moments, spending time as a couple talking and sharing interest. From that point I did start to like the time Rachelle and Jay spent together at home and the time they spent with Jay’s friends.

I liked the mystery and the suspense of finding out what was going on and why Rachelle was in danger. Finding out who was behind the attempted kidnapping and break-ins was sort of a surprise. I thought someone else was behind it, but I was wrong. It didn’t take me long to read the book, and even though the storyline was predictable it was a cute read. I enjoyed the action scenes as well. Even though this is a love story I appreciate the author including a few good action scenes. The writing is pleasant, easy to follow and moved fairly quickly.

I am a fan of the author but this book didn’t completely win me over like the prior series of Queen Quartette books. The author has the same type formula of women in distress, and attractive men that just happen to be right there to save them. In this series Jay is a former bad boy which added dimension to the character and also brought about the scenario of bad boy meets good girl. The variety of their up bringing brought about an interesting combination and entertaining read.

Though this is one I wouldn’t announce as a must read, it still would be a good read for those that enjoy a book with no cliffhangers and that has a happy ending.

Reading this book gave me a good, cheerful feeling. This book is absolutely adorable. I enjoyed the storyline, the writing, the wholesomeness of values and the family bond. This book was a pleasure to read and I am thankful to the author for sharing such a wonderful story.

Finola is a sweetheart that came into Timothy and Liam’s life at exactly the right time. Both Finola and Timothy are broken hearted from the lose of their mate. Finola is much more than a housekeeper. She is strong, kind hearted and talented. I enjoyed her strong spirit and whit.

Another character I enjoyed was Liam. At first he came across as spoiled and only thinking of himself, but as the book went on he became mature and often time humorous in things he said. He is wise to be a youngster. I enjoyed so much how he appreciated Finola and what she did for him and his father.

There are quite a few typos that I should mention. One typo even spelled Liam’s name wrong.

The title of the book was fitting with the story. And the explanation for the garden of love is very touching. Who knew a garden could be not only healthy but healing for a family?

The writing at times is so poetic and the word usage shows the author has a real talent for not just telling a story but she knows how to write it with extra flair.

“Spring thundered into Louisville with storms and temperatures that played up and down the thermometer like the squirrels in the trees.”

The author really took the time to compose such poetic words. May be it’s just me, but that description really gave me a visual of how the weather and daily temperatures varied during this particular time in the book.

This is a book that I highly recommend. It’s a feel good story, with characters that will leave a strong impression well after the novel is finished.

I enjoyed the storyline, the set up is believable and one that is easy to follow. The characters are well developed and given a sense of realness. The issues and circumstances were ones that could touch any reader reading this book. This holds very true for myself. As I was reading the chapter where Shannon is at the doctor discussing the results of her biopsy, I was waiting to have a biopsy done. Though at that moment I stopped reading because it was unnerving to be in a situation so similar to the character I was reading about.

Following Shannon’s results the author painted a vivid picture of Shannon’s story that I could actually picture her during her moments of questioning why her, her moments of wanting to hide. Thankfully those moments passed and she found her strength and bravery. This really touched me and though Shannon is a fictitious character, her issue is one of a real woman that is facing real life health issues. Though my biopsy results were not favorable I am glad I read this story. Shannon’s story left an impression that I will be able to reflect back on.

I felt that Jay and Shannon physical relationship took off pretty fast, but I was so happy that they both were on the same accord. Jay is such a sweetheart to continuously support and save his sister when she ask, even though she got on my nerves always calling Jay for her financial needs. Shannon’s mother is another character that stayed on my nerves but I’m sure at least one reader can relate to having a mother that can’t help but meddle in their adult child’s life.

This story has two of my favorite things delicious food and a hot man cooking it! I like the balance of personal life and work life. The chef reality show is a nice addition that makes for an entertaining and fun read.

A heartfelt book of emotions that were so poignant they left a lasting impression. In addition, I would like to thank the author for a well written lasting experience.

Though this story reflects the ordeal I am facing and that a lot of women have faced, fault, survived and unfortunately a few readers may have even lost someone close to breast cancer, Nichelle has given readers a glimpse into one woman’s story that could very well be an encouraging story to someone that may actually need to read this.

An unexpected trip…

When Lauren Daniels gave her housekeeper an all-expense paid island vacation, she hadn’t expected to join the young woman on the trip. Why had she AGREED to it, anyway? The loss she’d suffered a year before had changed her from a decisive workaholic to a restless pushover. Fine, she’d tag along. But that didn’t mean she had to like it.

An unexpected woman…

Dwayne Donner was bored with the Caribbean sun and the beautiful women. Both could burn: bad. But when he met Lauren Daniels—a woman who looked like she’d rather be anywhere than a beach paradise—Dwayne’s instinct to run in the opposite direction failed him. He’s drawn to her, despite the trouble he knew she’d bring.

An unexpected encounter…

Lauren couldn’t risk the pain of loss again. Dwayne couldn’t risk being conned by another woman. But the risk of heartbreak is eased when she discovers who Dwayne Donner really is.

A couples vacation was scheduled a year prior, but many things have happened in the year leaving Lauren Daniels going to Jamaica alone. With not many friends to reach out to, Lauren extends an invite to her pregnant housekeeper. During their trip Lauren throws caution to the wind and takes a chance on lust. The author created a beautiful place where the characters were able to get away along with the elements lining up for them to find love.

Man for Hire is a likable read that has a neat plot that kept my interest. I enjoyed the plot and setting on how Lauren and Dwayne met however, the book left a few holes that had me wondering if there is a book before this that explains more in detail. I often found myself wondering why the author tried to keep Lauren’s prior life such a secret.

This is a book that is well written with a writing style that is easy to read. As I stated earlier, the plot was somewhat unique in how Lauren and Dwayne met. Unique, but also a little scary to sleep with someone under the circumstances that Lauren slept with Dwayne. The characters were okay. I think the short length of the story didn’t help me to really get a feel to like them or not like them. I wanted to feel sorry for Lauren but not enough information about what she went through was given. The story gave little mention of her daughter and husband. And many of the things mentioned about her deceased husband were complaints. So I was kind of confused as to what type of relationship she had with him. To me, it didn’t seem like they had a relationship that was all that great, but yet she has spent almost a year feeling guilty about enjoying her life without her husband and daughter.

I did get the feeling that Lauren has a kind heart because she nicely offered the vacation tickets to her housekeeper. In the start of the book both women were in an unfortunate place and it was encouraging to read about the bond they formed and by the end of the book I was glad to read that they made things work for the best instead of giving up or feeling sorry for themselves.

It was cute how Lauren and Dwayne kept ending up in the same places on the island. It was nice to read that they both met during a time when they both needed someone. And even though Lauren had planned to limit her time I can see why she still felt the desire to live and let go.

Pregnant Sophia has been Lauren’s housekeeper for eight months. It doesn’t really tell much about her current relationship or how she ended up working for Lauren, just that she has made the decision to give her child up for adoption. However, her trip to Jamaica turns out pretty well. Sophia and Lauren seem to grow in their relationship beyond their employment ties. Both ladies seem to bond and be able to fill a void that each of them had. Their connection seems to have changed the plans that both women had originally set.

The sex scenes were just that – sex. I wouldn’t describe them as love making or anything sensual. Lauren hasn’t had relations in over a year, and for her to assume she is with a man for hire I would think he would be a little more attentive and sensual than ‘faster, harder’. With that type quick action she should have had a clue.

After finishing the book I took a minute to pause to see what message was the author trying to get across. Here Lauren is all alone after her husband and daughter’s death and she’s wanting to give up even though I don’t agree with her actions for sleeping with a stranger I can understand her reasoning for doing so.

Even though a portion of the plot felt like a mystery that was never revealed I would still read other books by this author. Her writing style flows in a pleasurable read, the pacing zooms and her plot has a nice positive ending.
