Hello! I’m Elizabeth Noble and welcome to my Top 5 Favorites. A big thank you to Long and Short Reviews for hosting me today.

I’m a writer and I love, love, love being a writer. However, there are other things in my life I love as well. I thought I’d share a few of my other favorite things that aren’t book related.

My pets. Anyone who has spent more than four seconds on my Facebook page or website knows I talk about my dogs and cat. One of my dogs has his own blog and I think it gets more hits and followers than I do. Creating Finn’s Log is fun, I get to show off my pets, my house and my garden. Anyone who’d like to check out Finn’s writing, here’s the link to his log.

Astronomy. I’m a huge astronomy fan. I really got into it when I was first divorced, and my kids were little. Broke would’ve been a step up on the financial scale. Astronomy was a mostly free hobby and a great stress reliever. Some of the equipment is expensive, but notebooks and magazines are cheap or free if taken out of the library. It’s something that’s also managed to worm its way into the majority of my books.

Coffee and tea. Hot or iced, I enjoy a good cup or glass of each daily. I especially like dark roast flavored coffees and black flavored or fruity teas. I’m a real snob when it comes to my beverages. Whole bean coffee and loose-leaf teas. I’m very loyal to a few types and companies. They’re like my dealers! And yes, I brew my own iced tea. I used something similar to my home brewed tea as a basis for a moonshine in Whiskey and Moonshine.

Dog sports. My kids are grown, have their own homes and families. That gives me a lot of free time I didn’t have when I was a single mom raising kids. Something I’ve always wanted to participate in is Obedience and Obedience Rally. So, to that end Finn and I have been taking classes and preparing to compete this summer. We’re also going to be trying scent work. I’m sure Finn will write all about his accomplishments in his blog. He might even mention me.

A good TV series: I’ll admit it, I like to watch TV, but not just any show. I tend to detective and/or scifi television. If the two are combined all the better. Since the advent of streaming services now I’ll watch an entire series (a few episodes a night) beginning to end. I really like being able to do that.

So, what are your favorite things? Drop a link or comment about one of your favorites to be entered into a contest to win an eBook off my backlist. Whiskey and Moonshine, bundles and anthologies are excluded. Books published through Dreamspinner Press/DSP Publications will be distributed via their webstore. Any other titles will be emailed directly to the winner by me. Don’t forget to check back in a week to see who the winner is and so I can connect with you to get your book delivered. All of my titles can be found on my website.

Drunk on love.
Like a well-aged whiskey, master distiller and old-money entrepreneur Malone Kensington is elegant and refined. Unfortunately he’s also a perfectionist who is more dedicated to the success of his generations-old company than his own love life.

That company needs a public spokesman.

What Colton Hale lacks in sophistication, he more than makes up for with the charisma that’s allowed him to survive on the street from a young age and charm his way into the lucrative—if overwhelming—public position at the Kensington Distillery. When Mal takes Colt under his wing, hoping to polish off his rough edges, opposites attract and a passionate romance blossoms despite the differences in age and background. But can it survive a Kensington Board of Directors who believe Colt is nothing but a gold digger and a kidnapper determined to profit from the love of Mal’s life—dead or alive?

Colt was close enough beside him that the heat he gave off washed over Mal.

“Okay,” Colt said.

Mal put one hand on Colt’s shoulder and turned him around. Not once had Colt shrugged off Mal’s touch or appeared insulted or uncomfortable. “This way to the bath.” Mal opened pocket doors at the end of the room that led to the bedroom. The bathroom was off the bedroom. “That sliding door opens out to an enclosed balcony.”

“Wow,” Colt said in a low voice.

Colt nodded and walked ahead of Mal to the suite door. The way he looked back at the rooms made Mal smile softly. He was proud of his house, and it always made him happy when someone else liked it as well. They returned to the kitchen, where Mal cut the cake and placed generous slices on two plates.

“Do you like coffee?” Mal asked.

Colt shrugged. “Yeah, sure.”

“Ah-ha, well, that makes me think you’ve never had good coffee, and this cake screams for good coffee.” Mal leaned down and cupped his ear. “Hear it?” Colt laughed, and Mal pointed at him. “There, I got to hear that laugh again.”

Rolling his eyes, Colt blushed and spent a few seconds watching himself scuff his toe over the floor tiles.

“This is my favorite. Italian roast,” Mal explained as he ground the beans.

“That smells good.”

Mal snorted. “It’ll smell even better after it’s brewed.”

“How much are you going to make in that huge coffee maker?” Colt pointed to the behemoth machine he’d noticed earlier.

“That thing is for those intimate gatherings of a hundred or so,” Mal explained. He pointed to a thick hourglass-shaped jar. “This is another kind of coffee maker.” He put water on to heat. “It’s called a Chemex and was developed in Germany in the nineteen forties. Filters go in the open top part, add coffee and hot water, and in a few minutes we’ll have the best cup of coffee you’ve ever tasted.”

When the coffee was ready, Mal stood and watched while Colt took a sip. “Well?” Mal asked.

“Oh… oh my God, that’s…. Oh my God. I never knew something like this existed,” Colt gushed.

Mal handed Colt his mug of coffee and picked up both plates. “Shall we take this outside?”

About the Author: Mystery, action, chills, and thrills spiced with romance and desire. ELIZABETH NOBLE started telling stories before she actually knew how to write, and her family was very happy when she learned to put words on a page. Those words turned into books and fan fiction that turned into a genuine love of M/M romance fiction. Being able to share her works with others is really a dream come true. She has a real love for a good mystery complete with murder and twisty plots as well as all things sci-fi, futuristic, and supernatural and a bit of an unnatural interest in a super-volcano in Wyoming.

Elizabeth has three grown children and is now happily owned by an adorable mixed breed canine princess, a spunky Welsh Corgi and their sidekick, tabby cat. She lives in her native northeast Ohio, the perfect place for gardening, winter and summer sports (go Tribe and Cavs!). When she’s not writing she’s working as a veterinary nurse, so don’t be surprised to see her men with a pet or three who are a very big part of their lives.

Elizabeth has received a number of amateur writing awards. Since being published, several of her novels have received Honorable Mentions in the Rainbow Awards. Jewel Cave was a runner-up in the Gay Mystery/Thriller category in the 2015 Rainbow Awards. Ringed Love was a winner in the Gay Fantasy Romance category of the 2016 Rainbow Awards.
