Aria’s first mistake was getting drunk. Her second one was not deleting her internet history. Her third mistake? Agreeing to use Max for all her sexy desires. He’s an asshole, one she’s been determined to avoid. But it’s the little things, like how he walks her to work and back home every single day. How can she say no?

For him, it’s not about fucking—he’s in love with her. Only now, he’s got to make her fall for him, too.

This single man is ready to settle down and become a husband and a father, but will his woman give him the time of day?

Just before leaving high school Max hadn’t known that one cruel verbal jab at Aria would open the flood gates, leading to everyone bullying her about her weight. It was now years later, but neither Aria nor Max had forgotten or moved on, and Max wanted that to change. When Aria joins a dating website, determined to kick-start her romantic life, Max knows it’s time for him to pull out all the stops and claim Aria as his own.

I enjoyed this sexy story. I found Aria and Max to both be interesting characters, and was pleased to read along as Max struggled with his feelings for Aria. The relationship between Max and Aria was a complicated one, and while it was clear from the beginning that they’d end up together and very happy, neither of them found it easy to overcome their shared history. This added a lot of tension and conflict between the two of them and made their path proverbially rocky.

While I genuinely enjoyed both their characters and was pleased they needed to both work to create a romantic connection, I couldn’t help but feel the plot itself was fairly standard. I didn’t find much freshness or anything too unique about their situation. While the characters themselves were interesting and enjoyable, the situation between Max and Aria felt a little bit cookie-cutter to me. It was not really too different to dozens of other stories out there and while there was a level of comfort in that, I can’t honestly say when I finished that it was the sort of book I was eager to immediately re-read.

That said, the sex scenes and chemistry between Aria and Max was certainly hot and plentiful. Readers looking for sizzling erotica should definitely find themselves satisfied with the heat level in this story. There is a little bit of very mind BDSM play (Aria is blindfolded) and some light anal play – but I felt these were fairly mildly written and readers used to a bit of heat and kink in their erotica shouldn’t find it pushes the envelope too far.

With a deliciously happy ending, plenty of steamy sex and a lovely relationship blossoming between Aria and Max this is a fun and sensual story that I feel plenty of readers will enjoy.

A war orphan, Astrid Bailey is content living her adult life alone, working as a contract machinist. Her real passion, though, is inventing felicitation devices that promote women’s sexual empowerment and help them find pleasure independent of a man.

The upcoming World’s Fair, with its substantial cash prize, is an opportunity to open the shop she’s always imagined and hopefully solve her financial woes. Except the committee has denied her entry unless she obtains a “sponsor”. Astrid suspects they mean “male”.

Eli Rutledge, noted watchmaker, knows entering the fair will solidify his reputation as an innovator —but he’s fresh out of ideas. Until Astrid approaches him with her outrageous product line. With no other options, though, he agrees to lend her his good name.

It was known as ‘female hysteria’ until 1952 and what the medical establishment concocted to deal with the issue prompted the emergence of vibrators. I really enjoyed Ms. Winters’ take on ‘what if’. What if women were allowed to create the very items that in reality were male dominated for centuries? I liked Ms. Winters’ steampunk world of an alternate course in London’s history and thrilled to the heroine’s exploration of how it would work when creating an intimate aide with the assistance of a sexy male partner. I expected sparks and found fireworks.

For those readers who aren’t into F/F encounters, I’ll give kudos to the author for some tastefully done scenes. The short seduction of a secondary character was very sensual. Its power comes from the almost clinical way the heroine goes about it. It made the guilty pleasure that much more titillating. There’s one other encounter and it’s integral to the plot conflict and movement.

Eli and Astrid were two characters that worked well together in all aspects of their relationship. They were yin-yang; he’s proper yet she’s wild, he’s hiding but she’s confident, he’s stagnant and she’s progressive. Even though they come from different parts of the social spectrum, they are still man and woman, and they play off of one another beautifully. It’s while they are building the device for the fair that they work out their differences until they realize just how perfect they are for each other. It’s not as easy as I make it seem because the one big flaw they both have is stubbornness. A mule could take lessons from them. It takes a different secondary character to dangle the carrot to get the protagonists past themselves.

Since Astrid is the creator of many fascinating vibrating objects, a reader can expect the exploration of their use and resulting hot flashes. Readers will not be disappointed. Ms. Winters’ knows her way around a sexy scene, alone and with partners, and delivers quality spice with just the right amount of quantity to please most erotic romance readers.

The final scenes that lead to the happy ever after were classic romance and very satisfying. An erotic romance fan can’t go wrong in reading Combustion. It’s entertaining, fascinating, fun, and many times, quite stimulating. On sheer novelty alone, this is an easy book to recommend. I’ll never look at saddles the same way again.

The descriptions in this short story captured my attention immediately. Ms. Brown’s ability to quickly create a realistic background and interesting characters made it easy for me to keep reading. I was especially intrigued by the quirky menu at the coffee shop where two of the characters meet for a date. Small details like this one made it easy for me to imagine exactly what was going on.

Some of the dialogue and descriptive phrases in certain scenes were a little wordy at times due to the use of multiple words with similar meanings. Other sentences used colloquial terms that never seemed to quite fit in with what I’d learned about the characters’ personalities so far. It would have been helpful for this reader to have a few more clues if these words and phrases were purposefully used in order to flesh out the characters’ personalities.

The chemistry between both couples is strong. I particularly enjoyed Tammy and Lydia’s scenes at the beginning of this tale due to the slow, steady buildup of sexual tension. While I don’t know if the author plans to write more about the characters in the future, I would be interested in revisiting them if she does.

Women in Love is good choice for anyone in the mood for something short and unique. This was my first introduction to Ms. Brown’s work, and it is something I’d recommend to anyone else who hasn’t given her a try yet either.

n order to survive high school, Cole, Cam, and Bobby came together as friends and lovers to form a coven to practice magic. Then after graduation, Cam and Bobby escaped the small, backward town where they grew up and went on to success, leaving Cole behind.

Ten years later, a series of tragedies brings Cam and Bobby back to Cole, and leads them to a powerful man named Darius Thorn, who wants to hone—and control—their magical skills. But after being apart so long, the trust and devotion they once felt isn’t as strong as it used to be, and they’ll need to reforge their bond and combine their energies to survive.

In the ten years since they’ve separated, so much has changed, and yet, some things stay the same. Love, friendship, and magic, are forever, or so it seems. Unfortunately, so is evil… and Cole, Cam and Bobby are about to find out just how true that is.

There is always one that is left behind, in this story, it was Cole. After graduation, his two closest friends left for bigger and better things, leaving him to the small town life they’d grown up in. This was probably the turning point in his young life, watching his friends move on without him. Although he had his own interests and pursuits, the dissolution of their inseparable trio shook him to his foundation. His love and dedication to them, however, is what brings him through to the end.

Bobby and Cam, having found their perfect lives – and then proceeding to lose them – still aren’t nearly as broken and dark as Cole. I’m not sure if this is because the magic was so much stronger in Cole or if it was because they had each other, while Cole was on his own, but it was something. Watching the three of them come together to stand against their greatest enemy, however, was both painful and thrilling. The power of love, of forgiveness, and enduring friendship is brighter than any darkness in any of the boys.

I loved the addition of the sex magic into this story. Often, it’s made to seem cheesy or raunchy, however here it was written exactly as it was meant – as a way to raise the power needed to enact the spells effectively. I also enjoyed that the author steered away from the light and fluffy and focused on the darker aspects of magic, making this novel more than a little terrifying at times. It’s a beautiful thing to see love blossom, or re-blossom in this case, in such a setting.

While deliciously dark and sexy, sometimes the writing in Coal to Diamonds didn’t quite hold up to what the author was promising. However, even during those moments, the intensity of Cole and his desire to regain what he had lost pulls the story through the rough spots. The author does an amazing job creating likable and flawed characters, including a truly evil and charismatic bad guy, Darius Thorn. The intertwining storylines, the sensual addition of sex magic, and the memorable characters create a world that will stick with you long after you’ve finished reading.
