Life is good for eighteen-year-old Emellia Ortega! Not many teenagers can say that, but Emmy isn’t your average teenager. On the fast track to making her dreams come true, she has her sights set on a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and nothing can stop her. Nothing, that is, except Cale Cruz.

With perfect pitch and unbelievable good looks, he quickly weaves his way into the hearts of everyone around him. Drawn to him with an intensity she cannot explain, Emmy soon finds out that Cale has a secret. He is Maldito, half-human, half-vampire and has returned to seek revenge on the vampires that slaughtered his family. Thrust deep into a world she never knew existed, Emmy will risk everything she has worked for to join Cale in his fight as tragedy slowly tears her perfect world apart.

When a link between their past is discovered, fate’s perfect plan begins to spin a web around them stronger than anyone could have imagined. Together they tackle impossible situations, fight impossible battles, and embark on an impossible journey that will change both of their lives.

“Bienaventurados los malditos porque son los únicos que pueden salvarnos.” Blessed are the cursed for they are the only ones who can save us.

“Blessed are the cursed, for they are the only ones who can save us” is the quote that begins the Maldito series. This quote won’t actually make much sense until much further into the story however, but I found it very intriguing, just as I found this book. This is a somewhat different take on the whole vampire craze effecting the literary world (young adult or otherwise), drawing inspiration from an old Spanish legend.

Music plays an important role throughout the better part of the book. From the song that plays in Emmy’s dreams, to the music she listens to, music a heavy component in her life. She wants to be a music therapist and is working hard for it. Obviously, as this is a book, you can’t hear the music itself, but Trujillo chooses to highlight several songs that will be familiar to most and a few less well known songs. After the halfway point, music takes a backstage to the true drama, but for the first half we learn about Emmy’s moods depending on what song is playing in the back of her brain.

Feisty, Emmy speaks her mind most of the time, accepting everyone and cheering people up just by being who she is. Some of this is explained later on, but I think it had a lot to do with her personality. She came off as being very sincere, even when wishing her best friend Sarah luck at scoring a date with Cale, the guy that Emmy has found herself reluctantly crushing on. She is jealous, which is natural, but mostly she wants her friend to be happy. As the novel progressed she became a little more uncertain of herself, but given the circumstances I understood that fine. Try to run healthy and happy life. pills cialis Investing in an alternate power supply as a standby is a much cheaper and smart action to take. purchase cheap viagra Often, people look viagra prices http://www.4frontimports.com/viagra-1117.html at the side effects of these alternatives may lead to severe conditions and are far more worse as said for the side effects of the treatment regimen given to them. Cale is a very mysterious guy for the first half of the book. Always smiling, always watching Emmy, always seeming to be there, Emmy isn’t sure if she’s flattered, irritated or pissed off by the attention. We learn about his history in bits and pieces, from a variety of sources, and he definitely screams ‘smooth customer’. Then something tragic happens and the world is turned upside down while he scrambles to figure things out. I liked him better after the tragedy honestly. He came off as being much more genuine and less cocksure of himself.

Chris was the most confusing part of the entire novel for me. Most of the time he acted like a jealous boyfriend, or disgruntled old man. He was hot and cold throughout the novel, changing emotions so quickly I often had to re-read things to make sure I didn’t miss anything. And I’m still not certain he’s on the level honestly.

The romance between Emmy and Cale began hot, simmered for a little while and then erupted full steam. There was reluctance on both their parts, for different reasons, but once they got over those hurdles they quickly made up for lost time. Too quickly in my opinion, as it felt like they were moving so fast and committed to things so rapidly that it was hard to take it seriously. Its not that I doubted they didn’t feel so deeply, its more that the development seemed to be put on the backburner after the two admitted they couldn’t stay away from each other. There was tension.

The story itself reads a little unevenly, some of the transitions being rough and some characters, Chris in particular, had a misleading characterization. How he regarded Cale by the end wasn’t such a big surprise, everything in between however was tangled and muddled. The ‘bad guys’ were also kind of one-note and throw aways, without much fleshing out beyond the fact that Emmy is important to them.

Emmy’s Song was an intriguing beginning to what the author says will be a trilogy. It answers most of the questions presented throughout, but opens the gates to more exploration later. It leaves me wanting to read the next book, which is of course always a good sign.

Jessie Brazen fell hard for Victor Weatherly, hard enough to marry him during a short whirlwind romance. Then everything fell apart and he left. Now, after a three year separation, Jessie decides the best thing for everyone involved is to let him go, forever. After all, it’s not like anyone knows they’re married, except her sister Samantha. So she writes to him, demanding a divorce.

Victor isn’t about to let his wife go without a fight. So they had issues, everyone does, but he knows if she will just hear him out, he can prove they belong together.

“Coming from a big, nosy family, I decided to write about what I know. I invented the six Brazen sisters who will do anything for each other. Hopefully I can give readers a taste of all the ups and downs of falling in love when five other people all have their own opinion of how things should go.” ~ Rita ~

Could you see past your fears to recognize the love of your life was standing right there in front of you, especially, considering that you were the one who sent him away in the first place? What would it take for you to get past those fears and let the man of your dreams back into your heart for good? What would it take to convince the woman you love that you’ll never leave her again no matter how hard she tries to push you away? These are just a few of the trials and tribulations that Jessie and Victor will have to come to terms with in order to be together. Or, will all of their good intentions be the final straw that severs their marriage forever?

A Brazen Love Worth Fighting For is a heartfelt story about a woman who has always put the needs of others before her own. Determined to give her sisters the chances she never had, Jessie Brazen took it upon herself to take care of her five younger siblings and her aging grandfather after her mother and father passed away. The eldest of the six Brazen sisters, Jessie is stubborn, hard-headed, beautiful and the bane of Victor Weatherly’s existence. A short, whirlwind romance brought them together in the bond of holy matrimony, but her family obligations and his prior job commitments caused everything to fall apart and sent Victor away, leaving Jessie broken-hearted, leery to trust the opposite sex, and cold inside.

Listening to his uncle and her grandfather, Victor made the decision to give Jessie some time and space after her father passed away. But instead, it gave Jessie time to harden her heart against him. Now, after three years of being separated and being served divorce papers, Victor has returned and is hell bent on claiming what’s rightfully his. discount on cialis There are numerous sexual abnormalities that can arise from sports activities. With the help of Jessie’s sisters, Sam and Bobbie, and his brother Trent, Victor just might have a fighting chance. Can they deal with the decisions that separated them in the past, and agree on the ones that will affect their future? Guess you’ll have to read the book to find out.

Ms. Sawyer provides an excellent portrayal of what it’s like being in a large family with Brazen sisters who will do anything for each, even when it means going against their sister’s wishes because it’s in her own best interest. The characters are easy to identify with because they struggle with real life problems. The sexual intensity between the hero and heroine are enough to set the pages of your electronic reading device on fire. However, there were times that the lack of editing brought me out of the story. Hence, my only suggestion would be that in the next Brazen story, Ms. Sawyer has someone to go over her manuscript with a fine tooth comb. Would I recommend this book to a friend? Definitely! In fact, I can’t wait to get my greedy little hands on the next story. Not only am I hooked, but I’m also not ashamed to admit that I need to know what happens with the next Brazen sister, which I’m hoping is going to be Samantha’s story. Two thumbs up to Ms. Sawyer for bringing readers a compelling story about love, life and the hard decisions that everyone has had to face at one time or another.

Shiloh Darke writes a great story that entices the reader into her world and keeps them enthralled until the end of the story. I loved the depth of the love that Tarrah and Bastian feet for each other even before they met in person. The trust that Bastian puts in Tarrah is a wonderful thing and she does not disappoint. Tarrah loves with her whole heart and no matter what, she loves Bastian in any form and is set on proving it to him.

This story was a great and quick read. I cannot wait to see which brother the next installment will be about. Definitely a not to be missed book, I will be on the look out for more from this author.

She’s a best-selling erotic romance writer. Her fans adore her. She’s making excellent money. All by writing about a man she dreamed up many years ago. Her hero is handsome, virile, sexy, strong, sensitive and a complete gentleman.

He’s a hot-headed, sex-on-the-hoof pro wrestler. He has a reputation for being the hottest, nastiest man on the mats. The fact that his face and body are plastered all over a bunch of mushy romance novels written by a woman with a death wish doesn’t sit well on those massive shoulders. His agent’s demanding monetary retribution from the woman who’s dared to use his image on her covers but he has another form of retribution in mind…and it has nothing to do with money.

She was his the moment he touched her. He came out of her dreams to claim her, and she wants every hot, throbbing inch of that delicious man.

He wants her, naked, at his mercy. One hot, orgasmic night wasn’t nearly enough. She ran…but he’ll find her.

I must confess that I was tickled silly to be able to review Out of Her Dreams. It’s been on my TBR list for far too long, and the opportunity to read this little gem was too good to pass up! A romance author writing about a man from her dreams that actually exists…can you imagine? So many ways to go with this one, and I’m delighted to say, it was one fantastic journey.

Out of her Dreams hits the ground running, in a crowded bookstore with our heroine; the notoriously popular novelist Samantha Hastings. The scene is set, the characters are in place, and just like a ready-made box of delicious Betty Crocker brownies, just add water. Or in this case our hero, David Chance, AKA the notorious bad boy wrestler, Chance Braza. Saying the sparks fly is putting it mildly. When Sam and David get a taste of one another, the temperature goes nuclear. You’ll pant and writhe and groan right along with them, and when it’s all said and done, you’ll dust yourself off and ask for some more.

But great sex aside, the true beauty contained within is the story. Sam and David are incredibly different, but oddly enough, it is their fear of expressing their feelings that keep them apart. This is one of those tales where you’ll want to slap the protagonists upside the head–something David would totally do to an opponent, by the way–smack them around a little, and yell, say I love you already! But it’s not done in such a way that it’s annoying or melodramatic. Instead, it’s a slow progression, watching as they lose themselves in one another. It will warm at your heart at times, and break it at others. There is nothing so great as a book that keeps you teetering on that precarious emotional teeter-totter, but rewards you so wonderfully for the effort in the end.

Of course, no story would be complete without comic relief, and I got that in spades when Sam attends her first wrestling event. You’ll laugh so hard you’ll cry, and just when you think it’s over, you’ll get more of the same and cackle like a hyena. Truly one of the greatest scenes you’ll read, because as it’s happening, you can literally picture the chaos. Excellent stuff, I tell you.

Be sure to put Out of Her Dreams on your TBR pile. You’ll get witty characters, a wonderful story, sizzling sex, and that little tugging courtesy of the heartstrings. I cannot wait to read more from Fran Lee.

Ailsa Jackson is finished dating executives. She’s looking for hot sexual fantasies—“all muscle, stamina and no commitment.” When assigned to interview an American CEO, Colin Fitzgerald, who recently inherited lands and a title in Scotland, she tosses her inhibitions aside to research all the old myths about brawny Highlanders and answer the old burning question—what is under a Scotsman’s kilt?

Are you looking for the answer to the age old question, what do Scotsmen wear under their kilts? If so, this may be the book for you. We do learn what American Scots wear under theirs. So the question is semi-answered depending on how you view it.

Alisa Jackson is a journalist who is looking for a little spice in her life and doesn’t want any “stuffy Americans”, as she so delicately puts it. She lucks out when she goes to Scotland to interview the new Lord Brantham who just happens to be an American. I loved how Alisa kept referring to kilts and what is under them. When Alisa tells Katie about her ideas for a hottie Scottie, I knew I was in for a delightful read. I was rolling with laughter as I envisioned what was bobbing a very friendly welcome under Colin’s sporran. I was surprised to read about the crush he had on Alisa when he was a senior and she was just a freshman at school. I could understand how the Fitzgerald Clan Chief kept his real identity a secret from Alisa throughout the story. His feelings for Alisa were apparent from the time he saw her from the castle walls.

The story moved very quickly but I loved the fact that I felt I knew not only all the characters intimately but the castle as well. There were so many cute references through the entire story that had me smiling at Ms. March’s witty writing style. From where the story takes place at Castle Claidhearnh Mor which means the great huge rock to checking off the rooms in the castle, I felt I was smiling in Scotland.

I always looked at the age old question as what does anyone who wears a kilt wear under it. After reading Hot Highland Fling, I now know.

The higher she climbs, the harder he falls…

Carter Malone is usually the first one to make tracks before a woman starts getting any ideas. Permanent relationships don’t fit into his personal blueprint. Now, for the first time in his life, he’s burning up the sheets with a woman who makes him think about something more permanent…like spending the night. But she’s holding something back, something he can’t quite pin down.

As a woman in a man’s world, Ryan Cooper is used to wearing a target on her back—and hiding her vulnerabilities. She hasn’t let anything, not even the ever-present threat of an epileptic seizure, stop her from working her butt off to get the foreman’s job with her stepfather’s construction company. Then she discovers the guy she’s been dating—okay, having the hottest sex of her life with—is the architect who designed the building she’ll be overseeing. The last thing she needs is anyone thinking she slept with Carter to get the job.

Or worse, feeling sorry for her.

Before the dust clears, things get a lot more complicated. The previous foreman’s injury was no accident, and whoever caused it is taking aim—at the target on Ryan’s back.

Warning: This book contains almost fully clothed sex with a little bit o’ spanking on an OCD-clean desk inside a construction trailer, a rogue set of pencils that just won’t take stay for an answer, and sweet loving in a tub.

I dare you to find an opening scene that is hotter than the one in Bridging the Gap.

Carter Malone, a professional architect and ladies man, is always the first to leave a relationship. Until he meets Ryan Cooper. Feisty, independent, and sexy as hell, Ryan turns the tables on him. She is always walking out on Carter. And Carter isn’t used to wanting, wishing, chasing. He finds himself jealous and possessive for the first time in his life and he isn’t quite sure how to handle it. Ryan, meanwhile, is working on being a woman boss in a man’s business and has health concerns she prefers to keep to herself. She doesn’t want to be treated like a child and she doesn’t want anyone to pity her, or be overly protective. And, fearing she will be stigmatized, or worse, left because of her illness, Ryan is a tough-talking dame.

But when Carter and Ryan realize that a saboteur is on the scene, Carter’s natural dominance and the unusual possessiveness he feels for Ryan shoot into high gear. And Ryan finds a way to enjoy his alpha side without sacrificing her independence.

Ms. McKenna has written one hell of an opening that grabs you and never lets you go in this excellent, fast-moving, steamy read. The relationship between Carter, who was slightly older, and Ryan, who is just starting out in a new phase of her career, was a fun romp with snappy dialogue and sizzling sex. Although painted with a broad brush (of a necessity given the length of the story), Carter and Ryan are compelling, likeable, sensuous characters with whom the reader could happily spend more time.

Bridging the Gap is the sequel to Between a Ridge and a Hard Place, but I assure you, you need not have read the first to enjoy the second – I hadn’t and I did! It wouldn’t surprise me if Max, an important and dangerously sexy secondary character in Bridging the Gap, gets his own story. I hope he does.

If you like hot sex, strong, handsome men and spitfire women, Bridging the Gap is for you. It certainly was for me. And Ms. McKenna is not only an auto-buy for me now, but I have gone out and purchased her backlist. Bridging the Gap is a must read.

Turner and Turner: One Good Turn

When his parents get a gander at the sex tape sent by a blackmailer, they offer Kendall Turner a few weeks of “rest” in a cushy clinic. No, he says, and hotfoots it across the lawns of the family estate. KT isn’t his own worst enemy anymore; there’s a new candidate for the title. Suddenly, Kendall’s on the lam, trying to outrun a murder rap. Helping – by locking KT naked in their motel room – is his cousin Turn. KT has some issues: he manages to censor himself only when he lies, he’s been in love with cousin Turn since forever, and he really would rather kill himself than get more rest at another clinic.

The Men of Smithfield: Gobsmacked

Physician’s assistant Mark Meehan’s impulse control takes leave when Mark finds his bank manager, who’s also his boyfriend, in bed with another man. Volatile Mark sets out to chase down his money and patch up his pride with the help of local law enforcement in the person of rock-steady state trooper Tony Gervase. But, Mark’s impulsive scheme for revenge infuriates Jamie and jeopardizes Mark’s budding romance with straight arrow Tony.

This is actually two novellas, the first called Turner and Turner – One Good Turn, the second one called The Men of Smithfield – Gobsmacked.

Turner and Turner – One Good Turn by Amber Green

“Be sensible, Kendall,” my mother said in the patient tone that can drive me to a seething rage in three seconds flat. “In the video you are, to put it crudely, tanked.”

To put it even more crudely, I’d been tanked enough to let a guy I’d been stupid enough to trust — for a few months anyway — ream my ass until I gave in to his exhortations to squeal like a pig.”

Tell me you could stop reading after this opening. This first story is aptly named. The protagonist, Kendell Turner is in some serious doo-doo right from the first page. His parents are disgusted and shamed by his overt homosexuality and he seems to delight in rubbing their faces in it through attention grabbing antics like the one that was caught on video tape. So my first thought is — this is a comedy piece. But then things turn ugly. Turner’s father wants to put his son someplace he can no longer embarrass his family and maybe get rid of his urges to fuck or be fucked by other men. Apparently they’ve done this twice before already. Things quickly spiral out of control when Turner escapes his parent’s home and is pursued by his cousin Turn, he finds out his best friend has been murdered, and someone is blackmailing members of his family.

“The sore points are always the ones worth exploring” seems to be one of Turner’s philosophies. He has an insane curiosity and a need to know everyone else’s business. And the more they don’t want him to know, the harder he digs. When it begins to look like someone pretty powerful is setting him up for his friend’s murder, he has to get down to business and find out who and why, with or without Turn’s help.

Here’s the kind of catty internal dialog he employs: And here I thought he barely had the authority to shake his own dick in the john, in regards to his brother, Dean, a weak man totally under his domineering, sadistic father, whose kindest words for him are calling him a parasite and cutting him out of his will. Turner takes nothing seriously, and when he is faced with his best friend’s death he is dumbstruck, but in true Turner fashion bounces back quickly. A likable and endearing character, he is a perfect foil for the mysterious and enigmatic Turn whose identity Turner never knew.

I found Turner’s character to be appealing. I like smart asses who have a quick wit and a ready barb for any occasion, and Turner has that in spades. Turn is a mystery. Apparently Turner has the hots for the guy, but Turn’s reactions to his heavy flirting don’t go anywhere, yet there was an undercurrent there. Will it come to anything? Is it only Turner’s wishful thinking? An underlying theme is Turner’s wish for Turn to become more than a friend. I felt for the guy and wanted to see him and Turn together. Kuchala improves blood supply to all of viagra 100 mg the information and facts you should have about the finest internet affiliate marketing training course ever! He calls his parents ‘hereditary units’ which I loved. It’s the kind of phrase I wish I’d thought up. One petty little complaint I had was the use of the slang term ’puter. I don’t know why, but it annoyed me. But that’s just me and certainly has no affect on my enjoyment of the story.

All in all, a fun read with a satisfying ending. Definitely recommended.

The Men of Smithfield – Gobsmacked by LB Gregg

“I stormed into St. Joe’s at the height of the Ash Wednesday noon mass, still dressed in my scrubs. I pushed through the massive arched chapel doors, bringing with me a gust of cold February wind. Seeing Jamie’s pretentious car parked in front of the church, I lost my shit and had to take action.”

And thus Mark Mehan makes an entrance in this novella with a literal bang. He meets up with his cheating ex-boyfriend and thwacks him on the back of the head – twice – with a Bible and in Church, no less. Needless to say he is quickly escorted from the premises and he heads home, only to be pulled over by his long time non-reciprocal crush, Tony Gervase, the local law.

At this point we learn more about Mark’s cheating boyfriend, Jamie, who Mark caught in the disgusting act of pounding into the ‘disturbingly white, smelly Kevin’ who happens to be their landlord. But that’s only the beginning of his problems with the ex, which devolve into some nasty domestic violence and a betrayal worse than sleeping around. The only good thing that comes out of all this is he and Tony have some incredibly hot sex. The sex in this novella is much hotter than the sex in Turner and Turner, though that was pretty spectacular.

Mark has known Tony for years, he had a huge crush on the guy nearly his whole life. But he never acted on it, and Tony never let him know how he felt. So over time they drifted apart and Mark ended up with playboy Jamie. Jamie was fun, Jamie was sexy and everything a man could want in a lover. Jamie was also a thief and a liar, but Mark didn’t find this out until it was too late. Then he’s thrown into a nightmare world where he’s broke, battered and committing burglary and ultimately has to decide who he’s going to trust.

This novella has a wonderful climax fraught with tension and the threat of physical danger. The ending was more than satisfying. The dialog is sharp and often witty. The characters have depth and are very personable, easy to like, or not like, as in Jamie and Kevin’s case. The plot is well constructed and has no flow or logic issues. The story overall is fun and hard to put down.

I highly recommend this book. Both stories were a lot of fun, the characters were more than engaging and the relationships and sex were well done and very hot. My overall rating for the whole book would be 4.5 Cherries. Get a copy today, you won’t be disappointed.

One’s a canine. One’s a cat. And one’s a vampire who hates the sight of blood. Together, they’re the Shifter Sisters, a hard-rocking band of misfits who stand by each other when the chips are down — no matter how much the fur might fly the rest of the time!

Luna, the band’s drummer and a werewolf by birth, has a talent for hooking up with men who only let her down — until a sexy Irish songwriter convinces Lu she’s finally found The One. But how are you supposed to land the man of your dreams when you really do turn into a bitch at “that time of the month”? And can you ever find love while hiding half of who you are?

Tori hasn’t exactly had a great time with men, either — in fact, the last time she let a man steal her heart, she went to his bed a virgin and woke up a vampire. Now, though, she’s being pursued by a wealthy, mysterious stranger, and Tori finally has to admit she’s tempted. But what is up with Drake Foster? One minute, he’s charming and witty; the next, he’s arrogant, demanding, and even sexier than before. Is he just one more supernatural bastard out to fuck with her life — or has Tori, all unwittingly, found two new chances at love?

Furious that Tori got the man she wanted, Persia is determined to find a beau who can outshine even Drake Foster. Which won’t be easy; he’ll have to be handsome, suave, sexy, romantic, powerful — and rich. In the meantime, there’s young, luscious Billy Gruff, a perfect consolation for her wounded pride. But when Billy takes her home to meet his brothers, Persia finds herself with an abundance of mouthwatering choices… enough choices to cool even this keyboard-playing kitten’s wanderlust!

This collection contains the previously released novellas Sex and the Single Werewolf; Once Bitten, Twice Shy; and Stray Cat Strut.

They are like no other girl group ever. The Shifter Sisters is a rock trio with a definite difference. They play bars and small clubs, and move on when they need to, which is whenever one of them makes a mistake. They call Portland, Maine, home for now, and hopefully that can stay the same for a while. They pack Geno’s night after night, these three unusual ladies: Luna, the drummer, a five foot ten inch werewolf; bass player Victoria, a tall and lovely vampire; and vocalist and guitarist Persia, a curvy and voluptuous woman who becomes a white cat at a whim. This collection of three previously released books tell their stories, and gives a glimpse into the lives of these three that are all the family they have.

Sex and the Single Werewolf is Lu’s tale. Lu is forever picking the wrong man, and in Portland, the wrong man is Rick. After she catches him cheating, she bites him in the rear (as a wolf) and goes home. So you should really take into consideration certain factors purchase levitra no prescription before buying Acai. More to You: Men should take immediate step to prevent the disease. cialis uk She knows she has to pick a better class of guy, but how many are willing to date a girl who is a real bitch once a month. Can Luna find he one love and her happy ever after?

Once Bitten, Twice Shy: The first time Tori fell in love, she gave her heart, her virginity and her human life. That was her first and last try at love. Now she’s sort of adopted Lu and Persia and they are her family, but once in a while she wishes for more. Then a mysterious man, Drake Foster, begins wooing her. But his mood swings have her confused, and she is not easily fooled. Can Tori find happiness with him? Is he more than he seems?

Stray Cat Strut is Persia’s signature tune when The Shifter Sisters perform. It doesn’t matter to her that Lu and Tori hate the song, she is determined to have her way. Persia needs attention like plants need rain. When Lu and then Tori find love, Persia runs away in search of her own man. What she gets is so much more than she bargains for. Can Persia finally settle down and be happy in the Gruff family?

Sierra Dafoe has written three of the most delightful, hilarious and outrageous characters in Lu, Tori and Persia. Portland, Maine will never be the same without these three. The local color is wonderful, and I’m betting Ms. Dafoe has spent some time in the area herself to be so descriptive in these three stories. I enjoyed the interaction between the three women, even when they weren’t getting along with each other. I could still see the affection each had for the others, and there were times when the two shifters showed characteristics of their other side. Persia was “catty” even when she was human, and Lu showed her vulnerable side, especially in her choice of the wrong man over and over.

The heat level for the sex goes through the roof at times. Can you say fire extinguisher? Keep one handy! Do they each get their man, or men? I’ll just say that there are three happy ever afters and let you read The Shifter Sisters and judge for yourself.

Aimee has a promising career ahead of her as a science fiction author. Her editor thinks she’d make an even bigger sensation if she sexed her work up a bit. There’s only one small problem. Aimee’s a virgin.

Darius, owner of Executive Decisions, is completely out of his element when trying to match Aimee with an escort. Not just any man will do, and he wants to make sure he gets it right. The only person he truly trusts with the delicate flower is his best friend and business partner Yusuf Abudallah. Yusuf agrees, but he has reservations. Not about Aimee, but about Darius.

It seems the untouchable Darius Faeman has met his match. But will he realize it before it’s too late?

In this fourth book of the Executive Decisions Series, Darius has to conquer his fears and look out for himself. With a sci-fi writer and his best friend in the mix, Darius has to wrestle with himself to find his answers.

Aimee McAllister is a very believable character. Thirty five years old and basically never been kissed, I felt bad that she was always caring for her family since the age of sixteen. In case a person wants to increase the dose of medicine should cialis generic pharmacy be taken 1 hour before wishing to perform sex effectively and impress your partner. Preceded by the robust Nightforce NXS series and fuelled by its legacy, viagra 100mg pfizer the Nightforce ATACR is extremely compact and armed with a fresh design to offer a long range scope capability and an image quality that is superior than most of its counterparts. Aimee is the mother of her brother’s three children but on the plump side and beginning to grey. Her editor wants more spice in her books but she is also painfully shy. What’s a girl to do? Call Executive Decisions.

Darius Faeman is the owner of a very successful business called Executive Decisions. He is a nature sprite and knows what is perfect for others. Unfortunately he has doubts about himself. I could see how much he cared about Aimee by how careful he was with Aimee’s case and his insistence that she needed a life partner. I wondered when Darius matched Aimee with Yusuf as he is the playboy of Dubai.

Yusuf Abudallah fell for Aimee as soon as he saw her by the pool. I loved how he was jealous over the waiter. Then when Yusuf put her at ease when she wanted to leave, it showed his depth of feeling for her.

I love how Yusuf woos Aimee but I never laughed so hard as when Darius bursts in on them.

So much research to do and a weekend is so little time to find a life mate. Executive Decisions: Research Only had me wishing for a project of my own to research.

“Playing With Fire,” Jodi Lynn Copeland

Ever since Erica Donelson’s ex-husband left her, his former best buddy, firefighter Lincoln Gabriel, has been there for her. But before long, their warm friendship heats up to a burning lust that won’t be denied…

Women love men in uniform. They also love men out of uniform. What happens when she wants a fiancée without the commitment? Or wants to see him in her designer threads? Or better yet, she wants him to see what’s right in plain sight? You’d better read Men on Fire to find out more.

This triple threat of firefighting men is a great collection of stories to get your pulse racing and the heart pounding. I liked each author’s take on firefighting, the women in their lives, and that ever present possibility of injury on the job. Although a handful of minor editing issues cropped up, they weren’t enough to deter the reader. Each story is realistic and easy for the reader to find some sort of personal connection.

In Too Hot to Handle by Sue Lyons, Jade Rousseau needs a fiancée in order to score a promotion. Enter the hunky firefighter her friends bid on for her. I liked this story because the plot was believable. I also liked seeing two characters so determined to be together, yet very determined to butt heads. Although I wished Jade would’ve seen the need for a fake fiancée as discrimination, I also understood that sometimes you have to do whatever you can to get that promotion. The reasons behind Quinn’s determination to save lives touched my heart.

In The Firefighter Wears Prada by Rachelle Chase, Delta needs the right model for her designer briefs. Who should she choose to parade around in fire fighter inspired duds? Only the delicious Lt. Evan Marshall, the so-not-a-clothes-horse firefighter. This story got to me because of their roots. Delta didn’t want people looking down on her, so she dresses to impress. Many people do that, but often with less than honest reasons. She didn’t want to be made fun of anymore. Evan’s need to distance himself from his past and the financial blunders of his ex-wife, made him more of a hero to me. I liked the realism.

The final story in this group is Playing with Fire by Jodi Lynn Copeland. This story is a bit of a change from the others in that the characters knew each other beforehand and they engage in frank talk that only close friends can get away with. This story dealt mainly with trust and a lack thereof. He doesn’t trust his skills as a firefighter since the accident. It’s also a story of want. She wants to pursue her art, but it isn’t financially feasible. He wants to be on the front lines doing his job, but fears he’ll get hurt. All of these are human emotions we all struggle with. I liked how they worked out their trust and needs issues through the blossoming relationship.

If you want a hot set of stories for a lazy fall evening, or just to get you in the mood, then you need to read Men on Fire. I give this anthology 4 cherries.
