Colin Dobson has everything he ever imagined — excitement, travel, and night after night of possessive passion with his new lover, Rowland Campbell. Safe in the arms of his vampire lover, for the first time in his life the sheltered young hemophiliac has nothing to fear.

There’s only one thing marring their perfect relationship. Colin is finding it increasingly difficult to sleep with a corpse — until an unexpected trip to a mystical tattoo parlor and a run-in with an old nemesis puts things into perspective.

The first Enthralled had a fairly predictable plot: vampire meets boy, vampire and boy have hot, sweaty man-sex, and vampire and boy fall in love. There’s nothing wrong with that story, but we’ve all read it before. And yet, there’s devilment in the details. When Laura Baumbach writes this plot it involves a vampire crashing into a suicidal hemophiliac who tries to trick him into granting him death, the vampire is actually pretty damned evil, and secretly half-believes that death-wish boy might be his route to salvation. Really, when’s the last time you’ve read that story? The standard tropes of paranormal erotic romance merely seem to provide a framework for a haunting dance between two badly damaged souls. I still find myself thinking about it, for all its simplicity.

So, I was looking forward to reading the sequel. Breathing focuses on Rowland and Colin’s relationship, and what both of them will have to face to be together. As readers, we never get to see any stagnation or agitation in their daily routine, but through Colin we experience the distress and worry that comes from wondering if a commitment is a mistake. The story takes place over one danger-filled night, which brings all of Colin’s doubts and fears to a crisis point. Now, with PDE5 inhibition, sildenafil sale the body releases nitric oxide, a chemical that increases blood flow by dilating blood vessels and relaxing penile muscles. Two such drugs that we will put to cialis tablets for sale test here are Malegra DXT Plus and Kamagra. This recreational use of the icks.org viagra spain drug by younger men still needs to be debated and studied by authorities.Though it’s a definite that the drug has no cumulative properties. It really is a simple story, but it is also a meditation on the pleasures and problems of being owned, without the intrusion of morality or politics. This is really refreshing, but Baumbach seems to think that her readers will not understand subtext or visual cues, and so she constantly breaks the “show, don’t tell” rule of writing. Possessive is a favorite word, and is overused to the point of annoyance. It should be obvious to all readers from Rowland’s behavior that he believes Colin belongs to him, and that Colin loves that he belongs to Rowland. There is really no need to constantly remind the reader of this by spelling it out. The recurring symbol of breathing and lack of breath is also dealt with in a slightly heavy-handed way, which is a shame because it really is a beautiful theme and ties the story together. And while Baumbach’s descriptions of emotion ring true, her descriptions of sex and its choreography show a lack of research or even accurate visualization. Unrealistic anal sex is a pet peeve of mine, and Baumbach is a shameless offender.

In the end, while Breathing is not as good as Enthralled was, it still focuses on some truly beautiful and intriguing themes. Breathing outlines the struggle to trust one’s lover, the owner of one’s soul, and to accept his imperfections. In this respect, the story still holds its poignancy and flavor, and should be read by anyone who fell in love with Colin and Rowland or is a sucker for an unconventional love-affair.

All Alisa wanted was to be left alone with her writings. But the discovery of Native America bones on her property made that wish impossible.

The last man she wanted to see was back in her life, and with him Zach Bradford brought a whole lot of memories and some questions she really didn’t want to answer.

Now besides digging for bones, he’s digging into their past as well, searching for answers as to why she broke up with him suddenly, two years ago. And Alisa has to decide if she is going to keep living in the past, or if she’s going to let it go and reach for a possible future with Zach. The future she should have had.

In DIGGIN’ UP BONES, novelist, Alisa is trying to meet a deadline, proof galleys, and not be distracted by the archeological dig in her back yard. If excavation equipment, intrusive workers, and endless noise aren’t enough to deal with, she also has to see Zach Bradford every day. Two years and a dark secret aren’t enough to keep her feelings, and thoughts, from the knowledge that she is still in love with him.

Although I was never aware of Alisa’s last name, Ms Houston does reveal her secret in the first few pages. To my surprise, and relief, Alisa isn’t bitter and angry with everyone in the story. I loved that. When most characters would have withered into a corner and lashed out, Alisa took full charge. She is a character that you cheer for the moment she walks onto the page and one you hope to emulate if the need ever arises.

The subject matter is handled well and offset with humorous scenes. At one point, Alisa has decided to put her plan in motion. She stands in a pharmacy, facing an overwhelming selection for a purchase she would rather not buy. I really empathized with her when the cashier scrutinized her selection. Talk about humiliating.

Zach is respected, patient, insightful, and secure enough to follow her lead. I loved it when he asked Alisa if she was that sure of him and she answered, “No, I was that hopeful.” Sigh. They melted my heart.

Alisa’s character is an inspiration to anyone who has suffered a personal tragedy. The best revenge is to live your life to the fullest, and she does just that.

If you only have time for a quick read about a woman who refuses to be a victim and a man who refuses to walk away, you have to read DIGGIN’ UP BONES. Archaeologists unearth the most interesting secrets.

Second Chances by Michelle Cary

Feeling like a fool, Ashley walked along beach, holding her sandals in her hands while waves licked her ankles and tears trickled down her cheeks.

Was her marriage truly over? She assumed so after Cole’s angry outburst. Maybe she should’ve told him about her co-worker’s advance, but what could he have done from half way around the world serving his country?

She’d rebuffed the man and changed jobs to put the incident behind her. At least she thought she had until she and Cole ran into the jackass while walking along the boardwalk. His five-minute apology sent Cole storming off.

Far from the boardwalk, she neared a stand-alone pier designed for fishing, when a noise caught her attention.

On the other side of the pier near the dunes, a couple lay naked stretched across a blanket. Moans of pleasure tumbled from the woman’s lips. Ashley couldn’t help but watch the man lap at the woman’s pussy like a cat after cream. Her own channel clenched emptily and she though about Cole. Never again would she feel the warmth of his mouth against her pussy, or his hard cock plunging inside her.

The couple had no idea she was watching them, invading their moment with her voyeurism. The right thing would be for her to turn and walk away. Though, if they hadn’t wanted to be seen, they should’ve stayed indoors.

The woman sobbed as her climax engulfed her.

“Like what you see?”

The voice behind her caused Ashley to jump. She turned to find Cole standing behind her, his gaze cast toward the couple.

“I…I didn’t want to keep walking and interrupt, so I stopped-”

“To watch instead.” He cut her off mid sentence.

Heat filled her face. “I meant to turn and walk back.”

“But you couldn’t help yourself.” He moved in close. “I understand,” he whispered while gathering the front of her sundress with his fingers. “Watching two people fuck is very erotic. My question is did you think it was hot?” His sentence ended with his fingers trailing beneath her panties, directly into her cream. Her knees buckled and she leaned against him.

“Fuck, you’re wet,” he growled. His nimble fingers pumped in and out of her, spreading her juices up and over her clit. “You like the idea of sex in public.”

“I do,” she whispered, her words tumbling from her mouth in a rushed garble of desire and need.

“Keep watching them.” He dropped to his knees and tugged her panties down, pulling the lace free from her moist flesh. She stepped out of them and Cole stuffed the lace into his pocket.

Her gaze drifted back to the couple who had changed positions. The woman’s head bobbed up and down like a dashboard novelty, licking and sucking the man’s cock.

Cole held the front of her dress up, allowing the cool ocean breeze to kiss Ashley’s heated mound. Then his mouth was there, his tongue swiping through her folds setting a fire deep inside her. She gasped only to bite down on her lip in an attempt to contain a moan. With one hand resting on the pole, she snaked the other through his hair and struggled to keep her eyes open.

The woman straddled her man and sank onto his shaft, impaling herself. All the while Cole’s agile tongue worked Ashley’s clit, torturing the tiny nub with one warm rasp after another.

“Cole, please,” she begged, not caring if anyone else heard.

He looked up; the evidence of her desire glistened on his chin. “Yes, baby.”

“Give me more,” she pleaded.

“Your wish is my command.”

He burrowed into her mound, sucked hard on her clit. You can buy vigrux levitra online http://downtownsault.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/03-15-17-DDA-MINUTES.pdf plus cheap from many online stores. Still, her pussy clenched emptily and she knew she wouldn’t be sated until she felt his large length buried deep inside her.

He must have thought the same thing, because he unzipped his jeans and pushed them, boxers and all, to his knees. His glorious cock sprang forward, ready and waiting for satisfaction. A satisfaction she was more than happy to provide.

He lifted her up, instructing her to wrap her legs around him. Her head and upper back rested against the pole. “Tell me you’re mine, Ash.”

“I’m yours, Cole.”

He slid deep and she whimpered at the wonderful sensation of him filling her. “Forever, Ash.”

“Forever,” she repeated while he pounded into her. The fire in her belly raged higher, burned hotter. It wouldn’t take much for her topple over that precipice a second time, but she didn’t want to go without him. The sound of wet, slapping flesh mixed with the roar of the waves and somewhere from behind her came a cry of release, an echo of her own climax barreling over her. Her channel clamped around his shaft, and she struggled to hold her own cry of pleasure.

Cole growled in her ear and bit down on her shoulder then drove into and held there, filling her. For several seconds neither of them moved; even words were beyond her ability.

“So you’re not mad anymore?” she finally managed to ask.

He lifted his head to look at her. “No, I’m not mad anymore.”

She wiped a bead of sweat from his brow. “What changed your mind?”

He smiled. “A very nosy and helpful bartender, who pointed out that we all make mistakes.”

She studied his eyes, seeing the love radiating from deep inside. “I love you, Cole.”

He kissed her nose. “I love you too. Why don’t we go back to our room, so I can show you how much?”

He lowered her to the ground. Left uncomfortably empty, she couldn’t wait to get back to their room. They might still have a long road ahead of them before their marriage was strong again, but at least he was willing to give them a chance. She couldn’t ask for anything more.

Far From Home

Enhanced

In Earth’s not-too-far future, a talented scientist stumbles over a plot to use the genetically enhanced military to declare martial law and take over the government. Dr. Ryne Siler enlists his friend, Dr. Cary Matthews, a brilliant engineer, to figure out how to stop it. When the investigation goes awry, they’re on the run, and the only thing between them and capture is a hidden cache of sleeping soldiers with enhancements of their own. Ryne and Cary are desperate, but will waking these soldiers help – or just make things worse?

Close Encounter

Space privateer Tris is just doing his job – delivering canisters to a military science vessel – when he discovers that he is transporting people infected with an engineered virus designed to exterminate the human race. In the midst of an alien attack, can the rogue pilot save patient Retter – the key to the cure? Or will he lose both humanity’s salvation and his heart?

Following the Sun

The nearly fatal crash of their spacecraft leaves Jack and Samuel stranded on a verdant planet far from civilization. Discovered and sheltered by a native tribe, the two resign themselves to new lives – lives that include a new culture, a new language, and even new love. But their new home isn’t at all what it seems, and when war and illness strike, they find out just how far from home they are.

Far From Home is another winning collection from Madeleine Urban.

“Enhanced” — Nighthawk and Brimstone are surprisingly charismatic. I expected powerful and brawny with super-charged, genetically enhanced abilities, but I got so much more. I found their individuality and complexity so appealing; Nighthawk is fun-loving and impulsive while Brimstone is brooding and focused, and they are both extremely capable and positively yummy. But their banter and playful jabs demonstrate a warm camaraderie engendered by trust forged over time and previous battles.

The pairing of these two he-men with scientists Ryne and Cary I found inspired. Most couples, who are http://respitecaresa.org/job/generalapplication/makersdate2017-9-23ver6lenskan03actlar02e-y/ viagra samples australia busy in their professional lives, tend to plan out a weekend getaway as their work-week is over to spend some quality time with their partner that help them getting emotionally attached. Short-Term Risks Due to improper acoustic coupling, you may have levitra samples respitecaresa.org skin burn and red patches. Dosage of cheapest levitra http://respitecaresa.org/staff/katrina/When recommending to you levitra or cheapest levitra, the doctor associated with the pharmacy may inform you about the duration of its effect. Working of tadalafil generic cheapest jelly : Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and Premature Ejaculation are the commonest of all. Cary and Nighthawk are a flash of passion from their first meeting, while Ryne and Brimstone are slower, more deliberate, but no less explosive. I was amazed and delighted by the intricate weaving of action and intimacy between these two couples as they struggle to defeat super bad guys to save the world.

“Close Encounter” — Tris and Retter’s romance is seemingly doomed from the start, but I melted each time Tris favors Retter with his unselfish compassion. Angelic and vulnerable, my heart went out to Retter as he longs for intimacy he thinks he can never have. The tenderness between them is stirring, and I hoped they could somehow find a happy ending in the chaos.

Rey and Mill’s coming together is as surprising to them as it was to me! Their interactions always professional, I was sure that the love story would include Tris and Retter only, but anger and aggression stemming from life-threatening stress turns to frenzied heat and Mill takes full advantage of the situation, and I was delighted to see them get together. The adventure is so astonishingly suspenseful, it gave me goose bumps as my eyes flew across the page to discover what would happen next.

“Following the Sun” — This one is a little different than the others in that our intrepid space travelers crash-land on a planet amongst a primitive yet friendly tribe. Jack is hurt in the crash and Lan’do, the healer, attends him, and I loved Lan’do’s gentle way with the larger man. I could tell that sparks would fly between them. Samuel’s awed reaction to the fierce warrior, Arl’ban’s radiant smile was my first indication that they would find their way to each other. I was captivated by the way these two couples adapt to one another, and I found the “spacers” initial restraint in showing their desire for the natives admirable, as they didn’t wish to risk offending them. When they do find their way to each other, the passion is just, WOW. The story has an intriguing “Twilight Zone” quality that hooked me at the end, giving the tale an even more riveting conclusion.

The actual sexual encounters are sparse in each of the three novellas, but the author doesn’t skimp on the emotional intimacy, which in my opinion, is the best thing about M/M erotica. Far From Home contains three thrillingly sensual sci-fi quests that shouldn’t be missed.

Review: Vampire Queen’s Servant

Vampire Queen’s Servant
by Joey W. Hill

His blood. His soul. His body. Hers for the asking…

Lady Elyssa Yamato Amaterasu Wentworth is a centuries-old vampire who’s been given a new servant – Jacob, a total alpha male unaccustomed to submitting to any woman’s wishes. What really binds Jacob to her are not her sensual midnight hungers, but something far more provocative. It stirs her blood, renews her life and awakens her soul like only true love can. The passion between Lyssa and Jacob yields something else unexpected – a shared history that reaches back through the centuries and is fated to challenge their destiny like nothing ever will again.

I don’t normally choose dominatrix-driven BDSM stories but I had heard good things about this author and wanted to give it a try. I’m glad I did. The Vampire Queen’s Servant is an extremely intense story that delves into activities that will most likely offend some, but for those with an adventurous spirit, it will have you gasping.

The relationship between Lady Lyssa, the vampire queen, and Jacob, her human servant in training, is simple yet exceptionally complex at the same time. I’ve read other reviews of this book and though most are glowing, a few cite gratuitous brutality and violence occurring, but I disagree with this assessment. As I listened to Lyssa’s inner thoughts and how she illustrates the vampire psyche, it was very clear to me her motivations for the cruelty she bestows on Jacob. I didn’t like some of the things that she did, but I understood why she did them and I felt her actions were appropriate, based on her view of the world and her ultimate intentions toward Jacob.

Lady Lyssa is complicated and dangerous and merciless. But I also see her as vulnerable. Sometimes, I didn’t like her very much, and others, my heart wept for her. On the other hand, the drug may lead 100mg viagra for sale http://www.donssite.com/viagra-2270 to faulty triggers of our fight/flight alarm system. Reasons why a woman cannot have an orgasm can provide about a sensation which will boring the discomfort, at least for the foreseeable long term. * Endorphins have the capacity to increase the resistance power against infections. http://www.donssite.com/steertech/Steertech-Location.htm sildenafil for women We seem to be doomed, by our own example, to viagra uk donssite.com show each new generation of the workforce the same model of how not to manage people. Next consideration that may come to your mind when you generic cialis sample think about sex. With everything she’s been through and is now facing, it was difficult for me not to be sympathetic, even as she punishes Jacob for a slight infraction of her rules. She is not all viciousness, however, and frequently treats Jacob with loving tenderness. I think these were some of my favorite scenes because Lyssa’s brittle emotions are laid bare on the page and I could feel the turmoil of her inner conflict and her fight to ignore it as she revels in him. But, I never forgot that she is a vampire, and even though petite in stature, Lyssa has kick-butt, super-human strength, which I loved. That additional threat kept me holding on to the edge of my seat because I never knew when she would erupt next, or what Jacob would do to provoke her.

Jacob’s nature is to dominate, so watching him struggle with the role reversal is riveting and I think this is one of the reasons why I was able to open my mind to the idea of a female dominant and be affected by the story. His blind devotion to Lyssa is rousing in its intensity, and his unrelenting care for her — both in the bedroom and out — had me flipping on the A/C to cool me down. His physique is the embodiment of virility and every time he takes his clothes off, which is often, I had to place a cold compress on my forehead. Are you getting that the man is hot?! Even when being forced to do things he doesn’t want to, and particularly when he’s doing things he does want to do, he performs with such sensuality that I swear, if he held classes for men, there would be a lot of happy women out there!

The one criticism that I have is that it went on too long with encounter after encounter between the two of them without the feeling of forward motion to the story. I didn’t understand Jacob’s motivation for putting up with the abuse and I began to question what the point of it all was especially as he continued to accept more and more. I was pleased to have my question answered; his driving force is finally explained and his submission justified satisfactorily, and though a momentary annoyance, the delay didn’t mar my overall appreciation of the book.

Lyssa’s and Jacob’s story is powerfully intense and not for the sensitive or faint-of-heart. The sex scenes are explicit and unconventional. But the writing is exceptional and I was moved by the artistry of the author’s pen. The fiery characters are enticing and their journey to discover what they may have with one another is exhilarating. Their story continues in a second book entitled The Mark of the Vampire Queen and I can’t wait to read it.

Review: Nicholas, The Lords of Satyr

Nicholas, The Lords of Satyr
by Elizabeth Amber

In the heart of Tuscany’s centuries-old wine country, three half-Satyr brothers receive a letter that sends them in search of three endangered half-Faerie brides. The daughters of a dying king, they present a unique opportunity for the wealthy, charismatic Lords of Satyr to beget heirs to inherit their Italian vineyard and ancient secrets.

For not just any woman will do as a Satyr wife. Each month at Moonful, the brothers change physically, becoming more powerfully potent. They’re driven by the darker side of their natures to indulge in a nightlong ritual in a sacred gathering place ringed with statues of Bacchus, nymphs, dryads, and fauns.

Eldest brother Nick considers it his duty to sire heirs. But he prefers to keep his conjugal visits to Jane, his new FaerieBlend wife, proper while engaging in more carnal activities with experienced courtesans.

Unaware that she’s half-Faerie, Jane is desperate to rid herself of the terrible abilities she acquired when she turned thirteen. Only then will she bear Nick’s children and find a true home with him. Until then, she must deceive him.

As the grapevines begin to bloom, an ancient cult hatches plans that could destroy Nick and Jane’s blossoming happiness.

When I accepted this book for review, I wasn’t really sure how it would turn out, but I was definitely intrigued by the plot premise. To my delight, Nicholas, The Lords of Satyr was an incredibly gripping novel that left me wanting more. How fortunate for me that I had the second book waiting when I finished!

In Nicholas we are introduced to the three Satyr brothers, keepers of the doorway between two worlds: Earthworld and Elseworld. Being part Human and part Satyr, they are not your ordinary men, they are so much more. Each month at Moonful, or the full moon, they become more Satyr than human and have an overwhelming need to mate. When they receive a letter from the King of Elseworld sending them on a “quest” to find the dying king’s half-human daughters and protect them, but only marriage will give them full protection from the factions warring for the kingdom, the brothers aren’t so sure they want to undertake this quest. But who are they to deny a king’s demand?

Nicholas is the first to set out to find his bride. Leaving his brothers to care for the vineyard and winery, he heads to Rome. In almost no time at all he finds his bride, Jane, and acquires her hand in marriage. Life isn’t always as simple as one would like it to be, though, and Nicholas finds that marriage to a woman who has no idea of her heritage is much more difficult than he would like. Jane, on the other hand has a rude awakening in the discovery that her husband does not plan to share all of himself with her. What follows is an in-depth tale that explores love in a different time and place.

Jane was an interesting woman. High blood pressure, diabetes, prostate buy sildenafil online find for source issues, and several medications can hinder your ability to reside a normal life. In the case of something like pregnancy, you have to give it cialis prices icks.org some time to take its normal course. Women are working more for very low http://icks.org/n/data/ijks/1482459755_add_file_1.pdf cialis soft tabs compensation, sometimes, that leads to emotional and physical depletion. Zenegra simply allows for an erection to generic viagra 100mg occur in a situation where your elimination systems gets settle down in the right angle. She was so very strong, and yet incredibly naïve and troubled. She had a secret she was keeping from her husband while wanting him to open up to her. Unaware that her physical attributes that frightened and even repulsed her about herself were quite normal considering her bloodline, she spends quite a bit of the book trying to find a way to “cure” herself. Not knowing that if she talked with her husband about it, instead of living in fear of his reaction to them, she might have found relief and understanding. I admired her tenacity, even while I wished that she would really “see” the truth to the people around her and in her life, both the good and the bad. When she finally comes to that much awaited realization, I wanted to cheer and then give her a hug! She was finally on the road to a better, happier life.

Nicholas was quite the hero. He was arrogant and domineering, being your typical example of what titled and privileged men were like in his time period (heck in this day and age as well!). They honestly believed that you should not bring the more heated sexual acts to your wife’s bedroom… silly men! When his sweet, innocent wife makes a bet with him, he is convinced that a few of his more interesting sexual requests will be the end of that foolishness. Imagine his surprise when she blossoms under his tutelage and he finds he wants no other in his bed. Nicholas and his strength actually made me sweat on more than one occasion. He even made me smile when he finally let go of some of his rigid control and let his playfulness out even when it was quite obvious he felt such behavior wasn’t at all prudent. I really enjoyed seeing him come out of his stuffy shell and join his wife in their marriage.

I was intrigued by the realistic descriptions of a time when it was accepted, if not openly encouraged, that a husband kept mistresses for his more “carnal” needs he dared not bring to his wife’s bedchamber. I was excited and pleased with how Ms. Amber worked her characters around this belief to a more pleasurable relationship between a husband and a wife.

Nicholas is an incredible example of the skillful blending of mythical beings, danger, suspense, romance, erotic couplings, and societal mores of a different time period. All these aspects are brought together to make a stunning tale of love. Elizabeth Amber astounded me with her incredible imagery and fast-paced dialogue that never left one stalled-out in the middle of a conversation. As I said before, Nicholas, The Lords of Satyr is a gripping, intensely sensual love story that will leave you wanting more!

Review: Into His Keeping

Into His Keeping
by Gail Faulkner

She became the air he breathed. Her passionate gift of surrender matched his dominant soul. Then she was gone. He’d never accepted that she’d wanted to leave. Ensuring she could find her way back to him was the drive that shaped him. Fifteen years later it was way past time to accept she’d chosen not to return.

Second chances were wishful thinking. Jill wasn’t looking for one. She didn’t have time for pipe dreams and she had no illusions about the stranger Holdin had become. Famous, rich and now retired from football, he might not remember her. If he did, he might not care to hear what actually happened so long ago. She desperately hoped she had something he would care about though.

A second chance was all Holdin needed. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… Gail Faulkner knows how to write an erotic romance! This book comes from my backlist of faves, and I just had to pick a Faulkner, as this is one that I’ve reread a couple of times and plan on reading again. I love this book!

Jill is an amazingly strong heroine, and I found that I had nothing but admiration for her. When life threw her for a loop, she picked herself up, never complaining and moved forward. When she’s finally able to return to Holdin, she’s not expecting him to welcome her with open arms, but she needs him to do something for her. When Holdin is determined to make a new start with her, she’s determined to make him understand why it wouldn’t work. Little does she know that Holdin is just as determined to make her understand why it would.

Holdin is one hot male, and that’s definitely a trademark of Gail’s. She sure can depict a dominant male! I loved how Holdin could be so dominant when it came to certain aspects of his relationship with Jill, and yet he would be so careful of her health and needs it was so touching it brought me to the point of tears. His determination to prove to Jill that no matter what that they had a future together, and his love for Jill were amazingly poignant. Who doesn’t love to see a strong man helpless in the face of one small woman?

This tale is a poignant and sensual tale of love lost and second chances that keeps you hoping and in the end leaves you with a smile. Not only are the love scenes incredibly hot, they show the depth of emotion felt by these two characters. I’ll say it again, I love this book! Not only is this a recommend, but it’s a “keeper shelf” recommend that I hope you will add to your list.

All I have to say about this author is, “Wow!” She sure knows how to build the tension and suspense. I kept hoping that she would hurry up and get to the good stuff… then I’d stop and reconsider, because the build up WAS the good stuff! I find that I’m going back to get the story before this one and then I want to get Ms. Taylor’s entire back list… in time. Cheryl is a modern, independent woman who thinks she knows what she wants from life. She wants to be a somebody! A somebody who gets the big story, who has it all together and knows where she’s going and isn’t afraid to take the chances to get there. She can’t seem to admit to herself that she’s lonely and a workaholic. When she sets out to capture men that she considers barbarians, she thinks she’ll finally be a somebody, that she’ll get the recognition she wants and she’ll stop these men from “enslaving” another helpless woman. So, when she’s caught unawares and pulled back into Cy and Maksim’s world, she’s a bit put out to find that she really doesn’t know herself as well as she thought. It’s not long before her two men melt her resistance and gain her heart.

Cy and Maksim are polar opposites in every way, except in their dominant natures. They’re none too happy to find that they will be bound to each other when they come to claim their bride. As the decision of who is to mate comes directly from their goddess, they know that they have no other choice but to make the best of the situation. They are both equally surprised to find that they are falling for their feisty bride and for each other. While the issues they need to work through seem insurmountable, they both agree that Cheryl’s health and welfare come before their own discomfort and set about training her and hoping that she will want to be their bride, otherwise, life will get pretty miserable for them all.

The only issue that I had with this story was with Maksim and his seemingly silly objections to why he couldn’t let himself fall for Cheryl and Cy. I can’t say that they always made a whole lot of sense to me, but it didn’t really detract from the story enough to curb my enjoyment of the overall tale. As he eventually comes around, it all works out in the end.

This was a sensual journey into a fascinating world of mythical beings and dominant men who appreciate women in all forms. The true awe conveyed by the author on the part of Cy and Maksim for the beauty of their bride, despite her imagined shortcomings, was beautiful and made me sigh. The “training” of Cheryl was hot and kept me guessing as to how she would react and if she would rebel or submit like she truly wanted to. The build-up of the tension was almost palpable and I have to recommend this one. I would recommend this to anyone who can appreciate the intricacies of Dominance and submission, and who has a love of the paranormal.

Review: Femme Metal

Femme Metal
by Nathalie Gray

Alexandra Novona has been called many things. Soldier, Enemy, Bodyguard, Bitch. Her body’s been through enough refits to trip every metal detector in the system. But nowadays, she’s what is politely referred to as a “privateer”. A new tag for an old job – slaver.

On the Femme Metal, a tough, ugly-as-hell little ship, she prowls deep space procuring males. Human or alien. She doesn’t much care. As long as they generate profit. And nothing will stop her from supplying her wealthy customers with top-grade male specimens for their brothel ships. Not even the seven-foot, blue-skinned, silver-haired wonder her customer very specifically requested. Unfortunately for Alex, she hadn’t counted on the gorgeous Yithian being a Hunter or how her own attractiveness and desirability could get her and her crew into hot water.

Sekmeth Meroh always gets his prey. For an exorbitant fee, he will catch anyone, of any race, on any world. He’s the best of his kind – a Hunter – and sneaky to boot. Sekmeth’s latest assignment – capture Alexandra Novona and her all female crew for a brothel ship near his own home world.

One little problem… Neither Alex nor Sekmeth can keep their hands – or lips — to themselves.

This was an intense, action-packed race across a future, as-yet-unknown galaxy that kept me on the edge of my seat and hot under the collar. The weak erection brings relationship issues and invite lots free viagra consultation of problem in love life. Nathalie Gray has a talent for writing the fantastical that makes you feel as if you are right there in the middle of it all, no matter how fantastical it may seem. To say that I enjoyed this first installment of the Femme Metal series would be a gross understatement. I loved it!

“Alexandra Novona to those who knew her well, Captain Steel to those who didn’t. Only friends could call her Alex.” That is our first introduction to Alex, and it couldn’t have been any clearer that this is a no-nonsense woman who has seen just about everything. She is a capable warrior and woman who doesn’t make any apologies for who or what she is.

Sekmeth Meroh is not your typical Yithian. He is one of the elite of a race that is already above and beyond what is considered superior. He is a Hunter, and he is one of the best. He’s never met a target he couldn’t acquire easily. When he crosses paths with Alex, he finds that he may have met his match. How do you say, “Let the games begin!” in Yithian?

This is a complex tale that keeps you guessing as to how it’s really going to end. You find yourself hoping and wishing for the Happily Ever After, but there are several moments throughout that have you wondering how in the heavens it will ever be worked out. Nathalie Gray sure knows how to weave a tale that keeps you guessing and revs you up all at the same time. A definite recommend for anyone looking for a well-told tale set in the future with enough heat to keep you warm at night.

Review: Stealing Carmen

Stealing Carmen
by Gail Faulkner

Jack knew all about secrets. The government trusted him to keep them, find them, exploit them. Home for a short rest from that world, he hadn’t meant to overhear his sexy neighbor’s darkest desires. Being the focus of those wicked wishes was news to him.

Introducing Carmen to the fantasy of being a submissive was a mission he didn’t expect to last long. He certainly didn’t expect her to show him natural sensuality that brought him to his knees.

A lifetime of looking at the other side of the fence brought a man to this. Investing more than he could afford and it wasn’t cash. Carmen came with a dangerous price. One he’d willingly pay to keep this woman safe in his arms.

Let me say, I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I have been a huge fan of Gail Faulkner’s ever since I read the first one I tried on someone else’s recommend. I’ve eagerly awaited each new story of hers and have never been disappointed. This time was no different. Right away, this was an intense read, which is exactly what I love about Gail Faulkner. Her stories are intense and pull you right in from page one, and this one was no exception. I found that I didn’t want the story to end and was ready to start it all over when I came to the inevitable last page. This will definitely be on my reread “shelf”.

I loved reading about Jake, and he just made me shiver all over. I’m sure that was the goal. Jake is a rough-around-the-edges hero, which is really what is expected considering his job as an “undercover law enforcement officer”. He is also a sexual Dominant. The fact that he’s completely honest with himself and anyone else about the kind of man he is just endears him further to me. He doesn’t pull punches when it comes to what he wants, but he’s also realistic about the fact that it could frighten a potential partner. He is well aware that his profession limits any sort of expectations he or a lover may have regarding their relationship, unless or until he is ready to get out of the “game”.

Carmen is the seemingly shy, submissive who lives next door, and Jake has lusted after her from the moment he first saw her. Carmen returns the feeling, but neither one knows that the other feels the same way. So, lusting from afar, or at least from across the yard, ensues. The fun really begins when Jakes overhears one of Carmen’s phone conversations; a conversation that involves her attraction to him and what she wants from him… a Dominant to her submissive. Jake decides he’s done window-shopping, he’s Stealing Carmen, now.

There were many things that I loved about Carmen. She was funny and intelligent. She had needs without being needy. You have to love a woman who knows her mind. She is also someone who knows what she wants, it’s the getting it part that she’s having trouble with. No one else seems to push her buttons the way Jake does, and that’s from afar. She’s desperate for him to make a move and take what she wants to give, but she’s at a loss as to how to do that. Carmen is quite surprised to find that Jake is more than willing to fulfill her needs as a submissive, but not enough to turn down his demands.

This was a fantastic story that had my attention all the way through. I didn’t want to put it down… let the kids feed themselves! All joking aside, the interactions between Jake and Carmen were well-written and riveting, not to mention insightful. There’s just something about the way Gail writes a Dominant male that makes me drool. I sure wasn’t disappointed with this book, and I would continue to recommend Gail Faulkner at each opportunity.
