First, I must say WOW! Field of Desire is phenomenal. I connected with the characters who were all spectacular and very well written.

Spirit was a woman torn between love and a desire to live. Circumstances placed her in death’s crosshairs if she did nothing to save her own life. She had to face some extraordinary circumstances that could potentially bring harm to those around her that she dearly loved. How she dealt with these circumstances showed she was courageous even though she did not feel this way most of the time. Her love for Anthony was the only constant in her life and she held on to that love with all her strength.

Anthony was bold and protective of the only woman he had ever loved. He loved her with ever fiber of his being and proved it throughout the book. The heinous character of Dennis created a strong sense of hatred and disgust in me. I loathed the actions he took and there were several times my jaw hit the floor at the depths of his hate for those around him. His habits and deplorable personality made him the perfect villain.

Field of Desire was an extremely powerful, fun and thrilling read. I have never read any work by Sherri L. Gibson however she’s just found another fan of her work. I was stunned to find that this book was so in depth for being a short read. It read just like a full length novel and I think Ms. Gibson has a way with words that truly appeals to the reader. Ms. Gibson, you should be very proud of your work, Field of Dreams was simply remarkable. I have never, ever given a WC Best Book on a short story but Field of Desire is unquestionably deserving of this rating. I strongly encourage everyone who is a lover of romance and suspense to read this book.
