Your date with Marietta local Beau Bennett includes a day on the slopes at Big Sky Resort, complete with a sumptuous meal in the Resort’s fanciest fine dining restaurant and door-to-door transport. Dig deep to secure the attentions of one of Montana’s most eligible – and elusive – bachelors.

Lily Taylor knows Beau Bennett dislikes her, but that won’t stop her from asking him to volunteer for the Bachelor Auction she’s organized to help her friend Molly provide for her tragically injured son, Josh. If Beau’s gorgeous face, piercing blue eyes and chiseled body inspires the women of Marietta to dig into their pockets for a good cause, then Lily will do whatever it takes to secure his participation.

Beau Bennett isn’t sure how he wound up on the auction block being eyed up by hundreds of eager women, but he knows who to blame for it – Lily Taylor, the sexy, distracting, off-limits best friend of his kid sister. As far as he’s concerned, the sooner this nightmare is over, the better.

The last thing either of them expects is for Lily to wind up bidding on – and winning – Beau, or that their date will lead to Beau stepping in to save Lily when her past comes back to haunt her. As Beau does his best to keep Lily safe, they discover that maybe they don’t dislike each other quite as much as they thought.

In fact, maybe it’s just the opposite…

A barely-domesticated panther and a nun go on a snow ski date…no, this isn’t a kinky shifter book, but the fur definitely flies!

I love falling in love with the characters. Finding so much in their personalities, quirks and characteristics that when they finally say those three magical words, I’m right there with them. Lily and Beau are those kinds of characters. She’s a little snarky but it’s fun. He’s a little intense but it’s mostly just hot. When he takes her hand and explains exactly why he’s been keeping her at arms length, the chemistry is crackling off the page.

Their dialogue had me smiling and laughing out loud throughout the book. Lily has a biting sense of humor but it isn’t jaded or obnoxious. It’s just fun to watch her poke at Beau, especially, since he almost doesn’t know how to take her. Should he kiss her or put her in a head lock? It’s a toss up on more than one occasion.

I love their honesty. I didn’t feel like I was on an emotional roller-coaster. Lily is very straight forward and it’s clear that Beau appreciates it. That’s not to say they just immediately fall into bed and declare love on the first page but, once it’s clear that it’s only a matter of time and circumstance before they give in to the sparks, there is no holding back.

It isn’t all sexy fun and giggles, though. When Lily’s past comes barreling into her present, oh man, that was tense. I don’t want to give anything away but it just goes to prove there’s always more to a story than what a reader may first assume. The bad guy is bad but…that “but” is a whole other story.

Bound To The Bachelor is the first of six books by six different authors. I met the other five bachelors on the auction block and may need to check out their stories as well. I’m definitely going to go find Beau’s sister, Andie, and her husband, Heath’s story. They sound like fun, too.

I highly recommend this book and this author to readers who appreciate a full body romance with characters who are easy to love.
