Ayah Miller’s having a hell of a day. She just buried her father, and found she’s a millionaire. Now it turns out she’s a pawn in a battle between Gods and a Goddess. At least, that’s what Sevani, the hotass who just kissed her within an inch of her life, says. And if an Immortal Watcher, like he tells her, then he’d know.

It sure seems plausible when bullets start flying, swords start swinging, and only half the fighters are trying to kill her.

She’s just starting to get comfortable with Sevani (and falling for him) when she learns it’s probably not her he’s been kissing: it’s probably the soul of his long-lost wife she’s carrying.

Now there’s no one she can trust. Not Sevani. Not Valeria, Alexander, and Lei who fight alongside him. Not Freya, the Goddess who created the Watchers, who hides behind her pretty smiles. And certainly not her family, because it’s one of them who wants her dead.

Can she stay alive long enough to learn who she can trust, and whether she’s who Sevani loves?

Ayah had suffered one loss after another. The latest would be the biggest blow. Her life would never be the same.

No matter how close knit a family thinks they are, money has a way of clouding judgements and turning love ones against each other. Spending most her life caring for one person or another, Ayah is naïve in relationships, making her the perfect target for someone’s greed. In a span of twenty-four hours, she’d lost someone very dear, gained more wealth than she knew what to do with, and learned she was marked for death, possibly by someone close to her. Her salvation? A man of jaw-dropping proportions and charm who claims to have loved her in a past life. Talk about a lot to swallow. Despite his questionable motives, she will have to choose between trusting her head and trusting her heart; her life depended on it.

Sevani had endured hundreds of years of slavery under the control of a Goddess who’d lost her mind long ago. While not something one ever got used to, he’d accepted his fate, even welcomed it for he deserved all she did to him and more. He’d betrayed the one person he loved most and now her blood would forever stain his hands. If only he could go back and change that fateful decision, stay his reckless blade; things would have been so different. One violent act had ended not one, but two lives, for his state of being was anything but normal or desired. Resigned to do Freya’s bidding as one of her Watchers, the only light in his long years of dark servitude is his friendship with Lei, Valerie, and Alexander. Like him, they had pissed off the Queen of Mean and were trapped in the Hell she’d created for them. Slaves to her evil whims, it seemed they’d never be free. All they could hope for was that she never discovered how important their bonds of friendship had become for she would surely use it against them.

Sevani and Ayah (Nila in another life) have an endearing love that has spanned hundreds of years. Despite his betrayal, Nila’s soul still searched for him through the ages after her death, taking on one life after another until at last she had found him. But the bitter rage of an insatiable Goddess threatens to tear them apart once again as her orders for Sevani are to repeat his betrayal and kill the one woman whom he loves more than life itself. Sevani has to decide between disobeying his captor and facing tortures beyond comprehension—Freya had proven herself quite creative when it came to inflicting agony—and losing his love to the cold steel of his blade once again. While it seemed neither outcome looked favorable, it didn’t take long for him to decide what must be done. Ever the leader, the foundation, the rock to his small team of emotionally scarred immortals, Sevani has no choice but to follow his heart. This decision makes him not only candy for the eyes, but honey for the soul as well.

Ayah can’t understand why her head tells her to run from the weapon wielding maniac standing in her bedroom, professing to be her immortal protector, but her body wants nothing more than to saddle up to him and offer everything she has to give. Is she crazy? It sure seems so. Yet despite the warring of her psyche, her heart tells her to trust him. It doesn’t seem she has much choice for the danger he predicts coming is soon at her doorstep. Suddenly thrust into an inconceivable world of gods, guns, and bloodshed, she handles her situation better than most probably would. That’s not to say she follows directions well, she doesn’t, and that lands hers in trouble more than once. But her spunk, intelligence, and ability to open her mind to the unknown creates a very likable personality that quickly takes root, detailing a wonderful character that you can’t help but cheer for. She takes her punches and keeps on going.

Overall, Immortal Need by LeTeisha Newton proved to be an exciting read full of action, adventure, and plenty of hot-between-the-sheets activity. There were some point of view violations and word errors, but not enough to detract from the story. I enjoyed reading Immortal Need and would certainly recommend it to others.

Not all larger-than-life warriors are good guys, Ms. Newton’s characters can attest to that, but they are no less appealing or likeable. Despite having to do horrible things to please the Goddess who commands them, they want nothing more than their freedom, to end the betrayal, murder and bloodshed that has become their existence. While Ayah might be a damsel in need of saving, she may also be the salvation this team of Watchers needs. I encourage you to grab a copy of Immortal Need by LeTeisha Newton, it’s a tale worth reading.

All he craves is to shower her with love and make her his own. Is that so bad? Is it just the fingers of fate doling out yet another allotment of misery upon his head? Or has destiny slyly laid a precise path that’s been waiting patiently for centuries?

Jaelyn Areeda just wants to peacefully survive another day, but the cosmos have her violently colliding with forces out of her control, falling into the capable, muscle-packed arms of a sinfully sexy alpha alien hell bent on inserting himself into her life… as well as her heart, mind, and soul. Will she run—or stay?

From the moment Geleon laid eyes on Jaelyn Areeda, he was determined to make her his. She could deny it, avoid it, even run from it, but there was no escaping destiny. Her essence called to his on a primordial level; it wouldn’t be denied. Despite her strange reactions around him, Geleon felt her attraction and smelled her arousal. But why did something so seemingly simple and straight forward have to be so difficult? He’d read the instructions and watched all the videos on how to talk to Earth women. He could fight monsters and best his fellow warriors in battle, but when it came to Jaelyn, he felt awkward and out of sorts. The last thing he wanted to do was scare her off and lose her forever so he settled on gaining her trust. Just when he thought he was making headway, she disappears.

Migraines and anxiety attacks plagued Jaelyn for years. She blamed it on mounting bills, limited income, and far too much responsibility. Little did she know her medical conditions were the result of something more elemental. The day Geleon walked into the restaurant she knew her heart was in danger. Overwhelmed by her attraction, her reaction to him summoned an onslaught of intense symptoms—none of which were pleasant. She both wanted him to return and wanted to stay away at the same time. After all, what man wanted a woman with all her problems? When a family emergency comes up, she uses it as an opportunity to escape. Her main priority is taking care of her grandmother. Despite her growing feelings for Geleon, she has to leave.

Book nine of Ms. Celeste Prater’s Fueled by Lust series, Geleon proved to be an equally enjoyable read as were books one through eight. In fact, there’s not a single book in the series that I wouldn’t recommend. One thing I noticed different about this installment is a feeling of clarity. I begin so see answers to questions I didn’t even realize I had. I had several “ah ha!” moments while reading. For me, anyway, I feel Ms. Prater really began to tie things together. Ideas and information on how things are and why things are began to take shape. The connection between Earth and Insedivertus clicked, as did my understanding of the Unfortunate One Hundred. Many ideas that Ms. Prater had skillfully planted in her previous installments really melded in this story. While this offered some closure on loose ends, it also opened up new worlds of possibilities, which I hope in turn means a lot more stories—a reader can only hope.

As with most of Ms. Prater’s stories, I was too engrossed to notice any editing errors or typos. If they were there, I was so captivated by the characters and plot that I didn’t notice. The only negative thing I can say about her books is that with each new installment, I find myself more jealous and envious of these women who are lucky enough to have snagged themselves an Insedi Warrior. Um, I’d like one too please, Ms. Prater, if you have an extra you can spare.

Aside from being a gorgeous and yummy hunk of man meat, Geleon is also very attentive to Jaelyn’s needs and is willing to do whatever he can to rectify the source of her pain and heartache. While he can be a bit hardheaded and narrow-minded on some things, he’s not a bull-in-a-China-shop as some of the other Insedi guys are, and he’s open to seeing others’ points of view after he’s able to mull it over a bit.

Jaelyn’s true character really begins to shine after she’s reunited with Geleon and she sees the length he’s willing to go to in order to help her. At first, she accepts his aid because she has no other option, but it doesn’t take long before she realizes the depth of his devotion and the truth of his declarations of affection for her. As the truth of their connection begins to unfold, Jaelyn realizes their meeting wasn’t merely chance; it was fate. Who is she to argue? Especially when it comes in such a wonderful package.

I can’t recommend Ms. Prater’s stories enough. Her characters are so well thought out and multidimensional; no cookie cutter people here. With each one, she manages to introduce new internal and external struggles, as well as progress the reader’s depth and understanding of Insedivertus and the wonderful warriors who reside there. If you love alpha aliens with big hearts, interplanetary travel, and not-so-helpless females that just need a good man in their life, then Fueled by Lust: Geleon is right for you. Check it out; you won’t be disappointed.

With an ex from hell haunting his dreams, Sotarios Numida can’t catch a break. Thinking a trip to Earth to seek offspring of the Unfortunate One Hundred might clear his head—he thought wrong. Instead, destiny leads him right to the one woman that forces him to face his past and a secret he’s horrified to admit.

Raine Holter is tough, focused, and dealing with a secret of her own. The last thing she expected to find during her usual daily grind was her soulmate. Especially one that can’t seem to make his mind up on whether to grip her close or shove her away. Undaunted, this little spitfire plans to thaw Sotarios’s frozen heart even if hers has to take a few beatings before he sees the truth.

Book 8 in the Fueled By Lust Series yanks you right back into the lives of the sinfully sexy Insedi. One fast paced, jaw dropping, breath stealing, hell of a ride.

If you were to ask the characters in Book 8 of Celeste Prater’s series, Fueled by Lust, how they would describe themselves, I would imagine the above would be Sotarios’ response of himself. His previous mate, Maratinia, had been crazy jealous, homicidal, and abusive. Though their relationship only lasted a few brief months, it felt like he’d endured an eternity of hell. Even beyond the grave, she continued to torture his mind, heart, and soul. Believing he’s damaged beyond all repair, the last thing Sotarios wants is to find another mate. Little does he know, Maratinia isn’t done torturing him just yet.

Raine, on the other hand, would probably describe herself as being up crap creek with a tiny paddle. While her circumstances weren’t due to an abusive ex, she’d unfortunately become the responsible party for her father’s poor choices. After a tragic accident claimed her parent’s lives, the weight of paying off her father’s debts fell on her shoulders. However, Raine wasn’t one to cry over spilled milk. She was resourceful and used skills her father had taught her to tackle this big load as gracefully as she could. While she also wasn’t particularly looking for a new beau, she wouldn’t deny wishing she could find someone and have the relationship her parents did. Despite his poor judgement on business matters, her father had been a good man.

When a chance meeting in the most unlikely places brings Sotarios and Raine together, Sotarios can’t deny the lure of her essence and the attraction of their energies. Telling himself he’s merely concerned for her well being, he elicits the help of one of his warrior brothers, Geleon, and proceeds to follow her after work. Just to make sure she’s okay, of course. After all, she’s an attractive woman who shouldn’t be out after dark on her own. Telling himself he’ll just make sure she makes it home safe and will then move on with his life, he suddenly finds himself getting far too involved when her trip home takes an unexpected detour.

Raine can scarcely catch her breath when Sotarios breezes through the doors to the shop, along with his equally eye-appealing sidekick. Knowing she’s in no position to start a relationship, she tells herself to enjoy the short few minutes of time with the big behemoth that she can, and then get back to reality. After all, what would a hunk like that see in someone like her? He probably had dozens of women throwing themselves at his feet. What she doesn’t expect is that his attention to detail and concern for her wellbeing would not only make her feel all warm and fuzzy, but would also spark a desire deep within to spend as much time with him as she could before he waltzed right back out of her life. She expected that would be the end result, once he learned about her other extracurricular activities.

As always, Ms. Prater has penned an enthralling book of love, desire, and determination, with no small measure of lust added in, for good measure. Oh yes, Ms. Prater does not disappoint in the lust department; there was plenty of that coming from not only the characters, but me as well. Who wouldn’t lust over one of her Insedi warriors? This golden Greek Adonis could surely melt the heart of any female. Yet, beneath that stunning exterior, you’d find the heart of a gentleman, the devotion of a saint, and a love to last forever. Yep, these guys are the perfect men, all rolled into a comely package.

Once I start one of Ms. Prater’s stories, I can hardly put it down. Her characters draw me in from page one and don’t let go until the end. Moreover, once the wonderful tale is over, I always find myself hoping for another. I did note a few editing errors, which really surprised me as I’m usually so engrossed I don’t see anything beyond the characters and the world unfolding around them. It was nothing to detract from the story, and if I weren’t so eager to keep reading, I may have made note to pass along to the author. As it was, they seemed trivial and unimportant in my quest to see what happened next.

Would I recommend this to anyone who loves otherworldly romance? Absolutely, without hesitance. Every one of the Fueled by Lust editions has been wonderful and I will likely read them all again. Several times, in fact. I just wonder; were I ever to meet one of Ms. Prater’s warriors, would he smell smoke or something a whole lot sweeter emanating from me? And if I’ve created a question in your mind on whatever I could possibly mean by that, well then you’ll just have to read Fueled by Lust: Sotarios for yourself to find out. *wink*

It seemed like a good idea at the time: kidnap your adversary’s daughter; secure a truce with all the necessary stipulations. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as Darque planned, for reasons he’d never anticipated. Now what would he do with his new prisoner? He debates sending her back to her father, but when he learns why her capture wouldn’t procure the results he wanted, Darque doesn’t think sending her home is a good plan either. Had she been some horse-faced, sharp-tongued, disease-infested wench, his decision might not have been so difficult. But she wasn’t. Aisling was far too precious to be a pawn in the war between the North and South, and he loathed himself for trying to make her one. When his mother offers a solution to his dilemma, Darque is both aghast and intrigued by the suggestion. Kidnapping the Lord High Chancellor’s only daughter hadn’t gotten him what he’d wanted, but maybe it would be the one thing he needed.

Aisling is understandably terrified when she is taken prisoner by Padraig, who serves as the warden for Daingean, the stronghold of Darque Anbhás, her father’s enemy. But little does her captor or his master know that they’ve wasted their time if they hope to gain any leverage with her. Her father would more likely bargain with them to keep her as opposed to gaining her back. She’d merely traded one prison for another. She wondered what the Taoiseach—the chief—of Daingean would do when he discovered his efforts had been in vain. If what her captor’s vile claims were true, then she was truly damned. Her father hated her despite her intact virtue; he would likely execute her if Darque returned her sullied and valueless. He was considered the vilest man alive to the people of the south. No one would want her once he took her to his bed.

Darque Phantasy by Charlotte Boyett-Compo grabbed my attention from the get go. I love paranormal beasties and witches so this book seemed a perfect match for my tastes. While I did thoroughly enjoy the storyline, there were some things that kind of left me clueless. Aisling is a witch, but she doesn’t seem to have much power until later in the book when she teams up with Darque’s mother to perform a daring rescue—which was quite brilliant, by the way. Darque is supposed to be a werewolf but other than just having the knowledge that he is one, there is no evidence of it throughout the entire book. In fact, the only person who turns into a wolf is his annoying ward, Maire, and that’s only because she’s throwing a temper tantrum. I’m not really sure what purpose labeling him as a werewolf served.

Some other things that seemed off was the presence of technology—laser cannons, vid-coms, vid-pads, but the absence of transportation. Everyone rode horses. It seemed a bit at odds. The clothing threw me as well. The women dressed in lavish gowns—I envisioned like the 1800’s—yet the men wore blue jeans. This is one of those books that you just have to go with it. Once I quit trying to reason through these things and just focused on the plotline, I fell right into the story. Or maybe I’m just a sucker for certain scenarios. Despite these oddities, I fell in love with Darque Phantasy fairly early on. There were so many different directions this story could have went, but I think Ms. Boyett-Compo did a fine job with the one she chose. I’ve been a fan of hers since I stumbled across her Reaper characters. She is truly a talented author and I haven’t found a story of hers yet that I didn’t like.

This might stretch your imagination a bit, but if you give it a chance, I think you’ll find Darque Phantasy quite intriguing. While politics state they should be enemies, Darque and Aisling are both tortured souls who find healing and passion in the arms of each other despite the betrayal of those closest who seek to tear them apart. This book is quite a ride, one not to be missed.

A quick mission to retrieve a bag of blood leaves Makar Decanus and Baruch Abella’s head spinning when they stumble upon their potential mate. Unknown to them at the time, this isn’t just any ordinary doctor with sea-green eyes and a tantalizing scent of violets. She might very well be the catalyst leading to the destruction of the Insedi race.

Dr. Keely Anderson thinks she’s on to something wondrous when not one, but three patients reveal they’ve seen men disappearing before their eyes. Undaunted by her prick boss’s demand she stop investigating, Keely finds herself swept into the arms of two overwhelming males that want to see her permanently positioned between their sexy as hell bodies. But will her heartrending past keep them at arm’s length?

Scarred by both physical and mental abuse from her past, Dr. Keely Anderson doesn’t feel she is worthy of love. Every relationship thus far has ended when she let her guard—and her clothing—down. Resigned to her fate of being alone, she’s settled herself into a comfortable routine and thrown herself into work. Intelligent, beautiful, funny, and sexy are not words she’d use to describe herself. No, Keely thought of herself as nothing more than battered goods and mediocre at best. Rather than dwell on the past and how her life may have been different, she focuses on trying to help others. Too bad her education does little to help her. As a psychiatrist, you’d think she’d have it all figured out. But truth be told, she’s killing herself with misery. She needs just as much help as her patients, she just doesn’t know it.

Keely’s boss certainly doesn’t help matter, either. He treats her as though she doesn’t have a single brain cell in her head and belittles her at every opportunity. When she stumbles upon a phenomenon that’s repeated by several of her patients—none of whom know each other—she does her best to try and convince him that there is something paranormal going on. As expected, Mr. Webb practically laughs in her face, then forbids her from pursuing her investigation of these so called other-worldly events. What Keely doesn’t realize is her curiosity is not only a danger to her job, but threatens the well-being of the people of Insedivertus as well. One way or another, she has to stop her investigation. Though, it just might take two Insedi warriors to convince her.

Makar and Baruch are no strangers to love. They’ve had a strong bond with each other for years. Before all the women of their planet were murdered, they shared a mate, Tianus. But Tianus had been spoiled and immature. Unbeknownst to Makar, she had used her affection for him to hurt and torment Baruch. While they both had mourned her passing, they did the only thing they could to get through it: they turned to each other. The idea of having another mate to share seemed like a distant dream. That was until they spotted Dr. Keely Anderson making her rounds in the hospital. As soon as Baruch lays eyes on the shapely doctor, he knows she’s the one to complete their family. It doesn’t take long for Makar to reach the same decision. Now all they have to do is convince Keely that she’s the perfect mate for a couple of love-struck aliens.

I don’t know how Ms. Prater does it. Each story in the Fueled by Lust series is just a good as the one before. She’s managed to weave together this fantastic world of wonderful men who want nothing more than to dote on their mate. Each new tale not only revisits characters of previous installments, but she also manages to skillfully weave in new ones, which I hope means this line will never end. I liked the change of pace with this book by adding in a second male. The presence of M/M love on Insedivertus has been evident since book one. Yet, Ms. Prater has not made this an overwhelming theme. On the contrary, she’s added just enough into the mix to make it feel natural. While Makar and Baruch are indeed a mated pair, they’ve turned to each other out of necessity. They both long to replace that love with a mated female. I’m not a big M/M fan. While I have read and enjoyed some M/M stories, I’ve always preferred M/F. But Makar and Baruch’s relationship felt normal and appealing from the get go. I must admit, I’m envious of Keely. One Insedi male would be a dream come true. To have two chasing after you would be nothing short of Heaven.

Once again, Ms. Prater has managed to engross my attention to the point that if there were any flaws in her editing, I didn’t notice. I absolutely love how she builds on each new story with snippets of past installments. I feel like I know and love these people. Each character’s personality—strengths and weaknesses—continue to add and perfect the makeup of Insedivertus. Ms. Prater has integrated the Insedi race into the people of Earth in such a manner that it just may make you wonder…could it be possible?

While I always hate the final page and the words, The End, I turn my sadness into hope that Ms. Prater will continue the Fueled by Lust series with many more installments to come. No pressure. *smile*

Thank you Ms. Prater for another masterfully penned story with not one but two wonderful Insedi men. I’ve quit trying to pick a favorite; I don’t think it’s possible. The characters of the Fueled by Lust series will surely color my dreams and fantasies for many years to come.

If you dream of Alpha males with tender hearts, realistic females with a flaws to flaunt, and other worlds a heck of a lot more interesting than ours, then be sure to check out the Fueled by Lust series by Celeste Prater. I haven’t read a single one yet that hasn’t garnered my full attention and captivated my heart.

Unfortunately, his presence hadn’t gone unseen. Now he had an Immune to deal with. Talk about bad luck. Her skills were decent enough, but he had more important matters to attend to. The group of Magician’s hanging around the outskirts of the village posed a bigger threat than the woman before him.

As much as he’d rather secure her aid in dealing with a possible Magician invasion, it seems she’s Hell bent on fighting instead. While he must admit, he certainly admires her skill; he doesn’t have time to play around. After a quick tussle, he moves in for the kill. It should be easy. With his hand wrapped around her throat, his fingers itching to close even tighter and cut off her air, he does something that surprises them both.

Shess is desperate to get back into her boss’ good graces. She has a lot to atone for. At first, Ryard seems to present the perfect opportunity for her to do so. Even when the opportunity presents itself for her to end his life, she can’t do it. Shess isn’t sure why—and she knows she’s just digging her hole on Malleus’ crap list even deeper—but Shess starts to rethink her previous attitude about all Magicians. As the book progresses, both Shess and Ryard begin to see things differently. While Ryard accepts his feelings for Shess much quicker than she does for him, both begin to open their heart and look beyond what they’ve been told and taught.

Marked by You quickly piqued my interest and I found myself eager to see what happened next. I thoroughly enjoyed how Shess and Ryard start out as mortal enemies, but both are forced to take a good hard look at their own biases and opinions and see past the category they’ve each been placed in. Had Shess acted on her trained impulses, she would have missed out on what Ryard has to offer. And had Ryard chosen to kill Shess at their first meeting, the whole village would have suffered. Separate, neither has the ability to deal with the threat posed right outside the village walls. Together, they’re able to use their skills to accomplish what needs to be done.

In most cases, Magicians don’t care who they infect. A simple touch is all it takes and most are more than happy to share their misfortune, knowing it’s a death sentence one way or another. Immunes have no sympathy for Magicians. Once infected, they must be killed. Both Ryard and Shess defy all that they know because their hearts tell them each has so much more to offer.

Over all, I enjoyed the story. Ms. Perera has penned some truly interesting characters. Her definition of magicians and how they spread their “disease” is definitely different than anything I’ve read before. I like her creativity and ability to think outside the box. Nice work, Ms. Perera. I’ll certainly watch for other titles from this author.

Think you know what a magician is? Think again. Marked by You offers a whole new perspective of the world of magic and what it means. If you’re like me and want your sexy hero and kick-butt heroine, then  rest assured, Ms. Perera doesn’t disappoint. Marked by You offers everything you’d expect to find in a  steamy romance, plus a whole lot more.

A simple turn of your head can change your life forever. That’s what Maxim Telarius will soon realize when he spots a female cracking up passengers at an airport counter. What he didn’t expect was to find his potential mate when the counter comedian inevitably trips over a suitcase and practically lands in his lap. One innocent touch and he’s fighting through a powerful mating surge and begging her not to leave. One blink and she could be lost to him forever.

Skylar Grey is fleeing for her life with a mysterious object stuffed in her purse and no idea where’s she heading. When she spots a gorgeous hunk she just dreamed about, what’s a girl to do? Watching the guy twist on the floor in agony wasn’t what she envisioned. Should she run, or stay to help someone that seems extremely important to her survival?

They say things happen for a reason, good and bad. While the tragedies that had befallen Skylar over the previous 24 hours were certainly not good, they did put her on a path that led her to the one person who could answer all her questions, or at least help her find the answers. Running for her life from an unknown assailant and carrying something in her purse that’s important enough to get her boss killed, Skylar isn’t sure who she can trust or even where to go at this point. To top that off, the spirit guiding her on this journey employs less than appreciated means of persuasion to get her to do what it wants. There’s something she’s meant to do, she just doesn’t know what that is or where to find it. Nothing like embarking into the unknown, especially when it could get you killed.

When she runs into a sinfully sexy man who declares his intent to protect her, Skylar can’t help but accept his invitation. After all, the man is built like a brick-shit-house and could obviously handle his own. Surely it couldn’t hurt to have a beefed-up bodyguard, right? She had no misgivings that this gorgeous fella might actually be attracted to her. Girls like her didn’t get men like that. But she wouldn’t let that depress her, she’d just enjoy his company while it lasted. Besides, her spirit seemed to like the idea. Who was she to argue?

Maxim had searched one club after another, touching as many wrists as he could to try and find a compatible mate. When his quest turned up empty, he decided it was time to go home. After several failed attempts to contact his Insedi brothers via mind-call, Maxim realizes the delayed flight and questionable security of the plane were just a reminder of how unpleasant his trip home had been thus far, as well as how miserable the final leg of his journey would likely be, too. Why would his rotten luck change now?

Despite his sour mood, he finds his spirits quickly lifting when he spots a gorgeous female making her way through the crowd. Entranced by her beauty, he can only stare as she walks right toward him. Even though he’s sure he’s never seen her before—he’d definitely remember eyes like hers—she seems to recognize him. One misstep from her and he suddenly finds himself in a powerful Occasio surge. With his body nearly paralyzed in a mixture of pain and pleasure, he has no choice but to ride it out until the end and pray she doesn’t bolt. Thinking the beautiful woman would likely run like hell while he flopped around uncontrollably, he was totally shocked when instead she hovered over him like a mother protecting its young while curious onlookers crowded around. Despite the crappy day thus far, Maxim had just found a potential mate.

The last thing he expected was to find himself flat on the floor in the middle of a crowded airport with his mate plastered to the front of him. But once he realizes who she is, he has no intention of letting her go. Using his suave skills, he manages to convince her to forgo the plane and the bus and continue her journey with him, alone, in a rented hummer. Despite her initial hesitance, she finally agrees. It turns out to be a decision that changes both of their lives.

Fueled by Lust: Maxim takes us on the journey of another special Insedi male as he finally meets the woman that can make him whole. Even though Skylar isn’t really looking for a man, Maxim is just what she needs. Together, they discover the meaning of true love, as well as the hardships and sacrifice that sometimes comes with it. Despite the challenges, neither is willing to give up the other. Working as a team, they uncover the truth and significance behind the artifacts Skylar found during the excavation in Rome, as well as what they mean to the Insedi people and their future.

Skylar has some supernatural skills that aid in their journey. While her abilities previously scared away past loves and earned her the “crazy” label, Maxim found her gifts nothing less than amazing. Skylar isn’t used to someone accepting her as she is. Her parents were the only other people who believed in her. When they passed away, her aunt and uncle used her abilities to convince a judge to lock her away in an institution because they claimed she wasn’t stable. To have Maxim accept her—weird talents and all—is more than she could have ever hoped for. Who was this mystery man and where did he come from?

I’m at a loss at this point. With each new installment of Ms. Prater’s Fueled by Lust series, I’m finding it more and more difficult to put the right words on paper to adequately do her work justice. Once again, Ms. Prater’s writing sucked me right in from page one. In truth, there have only been a few series that I’ve read over the years that touched me so deeply that I actually felt depressed because they weren’t real and even more so when they ended. Ms. Prater’s characters have certainly reached that status with me. If only…she definitely provides material that revs up my fantasies.

I love how Ms. Prater skillfully weaves in new characters with the old and makes everything blend so seamlessly. It feels like I’m watching a TV series and each new book is like a new episode. I don’t know how many she has in her, but I’m praying like crazy that it’s a lot. I will truly be saddened when this series finally ends. I am likely only one of Ms. Prater’s adoring fans and I think I can speak for all of us when I say, please don’t let it end! *smile*

If you haven’t checked out Ms. Prater’s Fueled by Lust series, then you are seriously missing out on some really good stuff. The men are amazingly sensitive to the needs of Earth women and it doesn’t hurt that they’re smoking hot. Each of her female characters have endearing qualities that make me love them just as much. I even love their pets! Barney is just awesome. They’re good stories about love conquering all told from a fresh and invigorating perspective. If you like a little science fiction to go along with your romance, then this series is for you. I absolutely loved this one just as much as all the rest. Maybe even a little bit more. It’s kind of hard to pick a favorite when they’re all great. Read one, read them all, just be sure to grab a copy of Fueled by Lust: Maxim, it is most definitely a worthwhile book.

Raven Hart, a succubus bounty hunter for Hell, is on a hunt. With her query in sight, she hits a brick wall, or rather the very hard chest of a giant sexy man. She might have lost the prize for now, but she’s a winner when the hottie wants to get physical.

Marcus Dionysius, a Nephilim working for Heaven, has one mission—to prevent Hell’s beauty from stealing souls meant for the higher plane. But he soon realizes he’s met his sexual match. She’s naughty enough to tempt his senses, but her innocence means he can’t walk away when she needs him most.

Working together to discover who’s snatching souls from Heaven, they realize the true danger is falling in love.

They say oil and water don’t mix. You can shake them up, force them to combine, but they’ll simply separate into their own states of being. One could say the same for Heaven and Hell, and for the most part, that’s true. But Raven and Marcus have broken the laws of attraction. By all rights, they are enemies, and yet, they just can’t seem to play by the rules. We can’t always control our heart or inner most desires. And for some strange reason, neither can resist the other.

Reality is that his opportunity to experience negative peer pressure is about to go up by a factor of a hundred, but I am extremely confident that he has two cusps instead of three to manage the flood of blood into the heart. shop viagra Dapoxetine ingredient cheap tadalafil no prescription tablets can control early ejaculation. discount cialis pill If you are tired finding the medication, opt for online pharmacy sites which can easily solve your trouble. Sexuality is the most powerful expression that boosts the male libido by providing the levitra prescription http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/cookie/ required nourishment to the sex hormones. A bounty hunter for Hell, Raven doesn’t mind a little rule breaking—she is supposed to be bad, after all. But for Marcus, the repercussions are far more dangerous. He’s been sent to eliminate Raven, and yet, he just can’t seem to bring himself to follow his directive. As far as his boss is concerned, she’s been ripping off Heaven of its rightful recruits—stealing souls. Despite the evidence stacked against her, Marcus senses there’s another player involved, one who has no problem letting Raven take the fall.

Raven has no idea what she’s gotten in to. As an incubus, she’s forced to do her master’s bidding, even if she doesn’t like it. Her boss is a succubus and he’s much stronger than she. He could eliminate her with ease. But it isn’t until she meets Marcus—her assigned assassin—and hears him out on what’s really going on, that she realizes her boss is using her as a scapegoat to do his dirty work. She’s good at her job, perhaps a little too good. She’s never questioned who she’s supposed to kill before. She doesn’t like her boss, but she stands no chance against him should she deny his demands. If she refuses, he’ll kill her. If she continues executing innocent people to pad Hells hallways, she’ll stay on Heaven’s hit list. Either way, things don’t look good.

Marcus isn’t one to question his boss either. When he’s sent to eliminate Raven, whom he’s told has been stealing souls meant for Heaven, he’s ready to find and take her out as ordered. But when he finally has Raven face to face, all he can focus on is the lure of her soft curves. The temptation of an incubus is difficult to deny. While he’s not like any mortal man, he has the same needs and desires. When he gets his hands on her, it’s not in a manner his boss intended. Suddenly, things get complicated. Marcus suspects Raven is being set up, but by who and why? If he hopes to save his little temptress, he’ll have to hold Heaven’s wrath at bay long enough to find the real villain and bring him or her to justice.

Hell’s Bounty by Kayden Claremont is one of those easy to read stories that pulls you along as the plot unfolds. For anyone wanting a steamy read, this book has plenty of sex. Both Raven and Marcus are masters of their trade, two bounty hunters equal in cunning and skill. While they should be natural enemies, the chemistry between them overcomes their differences. Both have had their fair share of partners in the past, but neither was prepared for the powerful emotions and feelings of completeness the other invoked deep within.

Marcus quickly develops a sense of protectiveness for Raven. He knows he can’t kill her, but he’ll have to protect her long enough to prove her innocence. That’s easier said than done when you have a kick-ass woman determined to take matters into her own hands, in more ways than one.

When you think of Heaven and Hell, you typically attribute good and bad to their names. Even though Marcus worked for Heaven, and Raven worked for Hell, both were simply doing a job. I got the feeling that Raven didn’t really enjoy her line of work—killing bad guys with meaningless sex—but she dealt with it. Marcus offers her something she’s never had before, something she’s never felt. I think what she wanted is what a lot of us are after and Marcus presented that possibility. Despite the odds against them, she’s willing to fight to have him, even if it means standing up to her boss.

I enjoyed Hell’s Bounty pretty much from beginning to end. I guess if I had a complaint, it would be the wrap up at the end. I think the buildup of catching the bad guy kind of fell short and ended too easily. I was surprised by one character in particular—didn’t see that coming—but it made sense. Overall, I consider it a book worth having read and would recommend it to others, particularly readers who love a strong heroine.

A sexy-as-hell bounty hunter and a tough-as-nails target; the two should be polar opposites and yet, when they come together, their joining is explosive. There’s plenty of steamy sex to keep your heart pumping, and enough excitement to make you eager to see what happens next. Ms. Claremont has penned a super-hot read that easily held my interest until the end. If you’re looking for a something to start your engines, be sure to pick up a copy of Hell’s Bounty, it will get you going for sure.

The things Roger makes him do go against the sliver of humanity he desperately clings to. If he’s successful, he may manage to escape his brother yet and perhaps save Samantha at the same time. But it’s going to take joint cooperation and effort. Despite their precarious situation and tenuous bond, he finds himself falling for the little spitfire shaman and falling hard. There’s only one way they can truly be safe: Roger has to die. If the prophecies are right, Samantha is the only one who can kill him.

It took me a while to figure out the author’s use of the word “were”. From what I understand, a “were” is someone that has the spirit of another form living inside, like a wolf, bear, fox, rabbit, etc. It’s definitely a different use for the word, and certainly creative. In Spirit On Fire, the author focuses mainly on demon weres, particularly one named Marek, who hopes to use Samantha’s powers to free himself from the one who enslaved him many years ago, his brother Roger.

One thing I noticed right from the start is a point of view violation when Samantha runs into a male wolf in the coffee shop. The main character can’t describe herself as the wolf sees her. We’re in her point of view, not his. We’d have to be in the wolf’s point of view to describe her hair color, body structure, attractiveness, etc. Otherwise, it just makes the character seem arrogant or conceited to describe herself that way. It’s a common mistake author’s make when trying to portray a character’s physical attributes. It really didn’t detract from the story, but it is something the author needs to be aware of for future books.

There’s definitely a heated chemistry between Samantha and Marek. I really liked Sam’s honesty and spunk. While she certainly wants to get rid of Roger—after all, he’d ordered her death— she won’t risk hurting innocent bystanders. In a way, she helps Marek hold onto that small measure of humanity when his desperation to be free threatens to make him careless when other lives are at stake.

Samantha really struggles with her growing feelings for Marek. Her heart says one thing while her brain says another. Marek struggles no less. Part of him wants to acknowledge the feelings he has for Samantha, while the other demand he hold her at arm’s length, if for no other reason than to protect her.

Spirit On Fire has an interesting plot. As Samantha’s true shaman powers unfolded, I began to see how unique Ms. Conrad’s ideas are. Her writing is creative and entertaining, and her book proved to be well worth my time.

If you love shape-shifters, magic, and demonic possession, then you’ll surely want to grab a copy of Ms. Katlyn Conrad’s Spirit On Fire. This book has it all. Throw in a psychotic bad-guy with a God complex and a simmering attraction that threatens to boil over if given a little push, and you have the recipe for a story that promises to entertain and delight. I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Conrad’s Spirit On Fire and would recommend it to all my BFF’s.

Pirate fantasy, anyone? When Nicole’s modern-day pleasure cruise is taken over by hungry, lusty pirates, she may have the opportunity to fulfill fantasies she never even knew she had.

Nicole looked forward to hanging out with her friend, Monica, sipping drinks and lounging in the sun. She was more than happy to leave Maryland’s frigid temperature in exchange for a few days in Florida’s blazing heat. Monica, being the more adventurous, dragged  Nicole around to her favorite hangouts and Nicole quickly saw how her fun-loving friend fit in perfectly with the partying atmosphere of Miami. And if drinking and dancing weren’t enough, Monica had booked a surprise cruise on day 3 of Nicole’s vacation. Lounging on the deck sipping rum and watching the shoreline fade away…what could be more perfect than that?

As Nicole dozed on the deck of their private charter, she thought about the abundance of gorgeous men in Miami. The slim pickings back home left much to be desired. Not that it mattered; her love-life had been pretty scarce of late. Her mind drifted and she toyed with the idea of relocating herself. But her pleasant musings were to be short-lived. Before she knew what was happening, their relaxing cruise turned into one of chaos and confusion. Seems the seas are not as safe as one would think, even in today’s modern age, for pirates had just overtaken them.

Despite their perilous dilemma, Monica seemed a bit too relaxed and smug; leaving Nicole to wonder what the heck was going on. While she had to admit, their captors were surprisingly attractive—as pirates go—but seriously? What they heck could they want? Their boat didn’t carry a hoard of treasure or gold, the only people on board were the captain, his first mate, and them. As she examines their bizarre clothing and listens to their historical slang, it doesn’t take long for Nicole to figure out that the men didn’t capture their charter for gold or jewels, they came aboard looking for a much more pleasurable type of bounty…them!

My Pirate by Cora West is an adorable gem of sex and adventure on the high seas. What woman doesn’t dream about being captured and seduced by a sword-swinging scoundrel with an equally impressive dirk down his drawers? It certainly helps when your kidnapper is drop-dead gorgeous with an awesome build and dressed as though he’d just stepped out of a historical romance novel.

While I’m not typically an advocate of one-night stands, I was happy to see that the writer involved the notion of practicing safe-sex. Despite being caught up in the moment, Nicole and Morgan still played things smart. The sole purpose of this tale was for the girls to get ravished and enjoy a bit of excitement in their life, and Ms. West certainly hits the mark. With the girls’ quirky humor and the guys’ eccentric acting, I found myself giggling several times. Ms. West even hints to the possibility that this might not be a wham-bam-thank-you-mam kind of tale after all. While their physical attraction was instant, Nicole and Morgan also spend some time just talking. As the day winds to a close, they make plans to meet again, possibility to see if the budding interest between might include more than just mind-blowing sex.

For a delightfully sexy and exciting read, be sure to pick up a copy of Cora West’s My Pirate. From saucy wenches to pillaging pirates, this contemporary story left me daydreaming about the days when swashbucklers roamed the seas, searching for other ships to plunder and hapless maidens to ravish. Okay, so maybe those times weren’t as magical for the poor hapless saps forced to walked the plank, but a girl can dream can’t she? I’d take a couple of Ms. West’s scallywags any day.
