When Lee meets his fantasy man, his shy nature makes him want to run. But what will he do when his dream guy won’t let him?

Saul Valencia. Tall? Check. Muscles? Check. Everything Lee Clark ever dreamed of in a man? Check. Bad case of nerves and feeling like an idiot whenever he’s around? Sigh. Check.

Being kicked out of the family home for being gay would have been bad enough, but Lee Clark also worked in his dad’s garage. Losing his family, his home and his job all in the same day left him floundering. He can’t believe his luck might be changing when he finds a job at Everyone’s Mechanic, another garage, where he’s accepted for who he is.

Then Saul, a former linebacker for the NFL Raleigh Raptors and a friend of Lee’s boss, walks into his life. The man is the embodiment of all his teenage fantasies, but Lee doesn’t dare hope Saul will ever actually notice him.

Intrigued from the start by the shy man now working for his business partner’s boyfriend, Saul struggles through bad advice and misunderstandings to convince Lee that he’s serious about wanting a chance with him. Getting Lee to give him a shot at romance was difficult enough, but when drama and blackmail from outside sources are added in, the relationship becomes almost impossible.

It will take the combined efforts of Lee’s garage family and Saul’s real one to set things right.

Most people start their lives anew because they want to – a new job, a new town, a new partner. Lee starts a new life because he has been kicked out of his family home and beaten up by his brother, which is nothing unusual, unfortunately. He is lucky in that he finds somewhere where he is actually welcomed, not just tolerated. And then he meets Saul…

This was a great story, with Lee meeting up with his boyhood crush, and Saul being everything Lee could possibly wish for. I completely understood where Lee was coming from, and like the others in the book, sometimes I thought Saul deserved a clip on the back of his head, however well-meaning his intentions were.

This is a romance and suspense wrapped up together. It has a perfect cast of characters (I’m looking at you, Gracie!) and some heart-rending moments too. The conversation with Sam just about killed me, but I won’t go into any more detail than that!

With a smooth pace, a great storyline, and that fantastic cast of characters, this was a book I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this book, and I look forward to reading more in this series.

When Eva propositions him, suddenly looking isn’t enough. Lust has a way of wrecking the best intentions, especially when love lurks around the bend.

The only one she wants is fixated on her being a little girl, and Eva fears she will never get Charlie to see her any other way.

This is a sweet and steamy read that makes you wish for a happy ending even before you get there. Charlie fears his dead best-friend would hate him for being with his daughter, whilst Eva thinks her dad would be happy for them. It takes some time for Charlie to act, but once he does, the gloves come off and Eva has a smile on her face. I did want to give Charlie a clip around the ear at times as he seemed almost happily blind about his feelings for Eva, but it was all good in the end.

Exceedingly well written, with no spelling or grammatical errors that I noticed, this was an easy read, full of steam, hope, and a little bit of angst to get you going. Definitely recommended by me.

This book is definitely a dark psychological thriller with romantic elements. The relationship between our two main characters takes a back seat to the whodunit part of the story, and moves very quickly in fits and starts. This is a very descriptive book, which might not be a good thing if you have a weak stomach! It did seem a bit disjointed to me at times, with some of the characters having a distinctive, but sometimes hard to follow, way of speaking.

This isn’t a book to ‘enjoy’, but it is one that will keep you gripped. So long as you don’t mind blood and guts (literally), then I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Trying to escape, he meets Birch, a kind horse trainer, who’s confounded by Henri’s idiosyncrasies even as he is drawn to him. But when Birch discovers the truth, he encourages Henri not to just survive, but to live.

Maybe even to love.

Imagine being stalked by a military man, whose own government won’t admit to just how much (and what) he’s been trained for. Imagine this going on for months. Now imagine not being believed until it was too late. Imagine being captured and tortured… for what?! This is what happened to Henri, who became the unknowing obsession of Russell. He is helped by Birch, which just lands him into hot water with Russell.

This was a really great read, giving the reader an excellent description of just how lonely and broken Henri was. Birch is a great guy, and was just trying to help someone out, but by doing so he got dragged into the whole mess. The secondary characters of Nate and Jason are also brilliant, giving out doses of humor to lighten up the story.

For me, personally, I was left with some unanswered questions. Also, Henri has a fear of being touched, and yet Jason touches him frequently. Perhaps it is fear of being touched by a stranger, and I just missed that part? The same fear is quickly overcome by Birch, although the reason for this is that he is good with horses! This did not diminish my enjoyment of the book, but is just an observation. I would love to see more, both of Birch and Henri, but also Nate and Jason and the company they work for.

If you’re looking for a suspenseful book that has some hot moments and witticisms, then I can definitely recommend this book.

Alfie’s finally got her back in town, and this time, he’s not going to risk losing her. He’s not the dumb biker kid anymore; he’s a man, and this man doesn’t let the woman he loves get away.

How many can relate to being the shy girl? Or the curvy girl? Imagine being both in small town, USA, where everything is run by the local MC Club. So what do you do if your dad is branded a coward and you are tarnished by the same brush? And how do you cope when everything gets thrown on its head? Do you trust your former bully with your heart, after all he has put you through? What a dilemma!

This story is told in two parts, the majority of it being the earlier part that sets the stage for what is to come. It is incredibly well-told, with the reader getting to see both the bullied and the bully, and what makes them tick. Alfie finds out that Chloe isn’t anything like he imagined, and finds himself starting to fall for her. As for Chloe, she realizes Alfie isn’t as bad as she originally thought.

For me, it was the second part that knocked off a star, although the writing was still as smooth as ever. It just didn’t feel right. After all the angst and embarrassment of part one, in part two, it was over and done with. It was almost like the author couldn’t decide whether the anxiety between the two MCs or the mystery side of the story should take first place. As such, both fell a bit flat for me.

This is very well written, with no spelling or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading. I thoroughly enjoyed most of the story, and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Caught in an evening rainstorm, Luke shelters under a sidewalk awning…and encounters a handsome stranger. The two strike up a conversation and Finn offers to walk Luke under his oversized umbrella. Charmed, Luke accepts and asks Finn out for coffee in thanks.

Luke and Finn quickly grow close, but, as the summer draws to an end, Luke struggles to keep his connection with Finn while Finn tries to come to terms with caring for a man whose attention is pulled in many directions. Both men are scrambling to get it right, but only time will tell if they’ll learn there is more than enough room in their hearts to go around.

Can love be found under an awning in the rain? Of course, it can! That is what happens to our two MC’s in this story.

The thing I loved about this is how it is very lifelike. Yes, I know it’s fiction, and usually I’m right there with you, but this time, seeing them in completely normal circumstances and having honest reactions just made it a great read. Saying that, I did think Finn needed a slight tap when he started going out with someone who he knew liked him! Still, it was perfectly innocent, on his part at least, and luckily both Finn and Luke were grown up enough to talk over any issues, instead of allowing it to build up into a major misunderstanding!

Ella is a major player in this story, and I thought the author did a great job of showing just how confusing life can be for a ten-year-old. Luke did all the right things, but I was glad when Peter managed to work something out with his job.

There is something here for everyone – from steamy moments, to humor, to romance. With a great, contemporary setting, and a cast of fantastic characters, this was a read that I definitely recommend.
