Ripped from her bed, she’s captured by savages. Terrified, she prays her betrothed will mount a rescue. But it is the enemy, a Pict with Celtic tattoos and hair of fire who wields his sword and fights for her freedom.

When she seeks refuge in the warrior’s stronghold, the Picts eye her with distrust and force her to earn her keep as a commoner. But the longer Valeria remains, the more agonizing it becomes to conceal her burning love for the Celtic warrior.

Will Taran’s people ever accept a Roman into their community?

Valeria’s life certainly changed a lot when she arrived at the Roman frontier. Valeria is a very innocent girl who has led an extremely sheltered life. When I started reading, I expected her to be a bit self absorbed. However, Valeria is a very kind and endearing young woman. Even though she doesn’t have much worldly experience, she genuinely cares for people of every station and tries to help others in need. Valeria doesn’t lack courage when it comes to facing difficult situations. Unfortunately, her practical knowledge is certainly deficient. I give her credit for learning how to handle herself in the wild and being humble enough to know when she needed help. Taran’s unexpected appearance in her life challenges everything she’s ever known about the world. Her eyes are quickly opened to the fact that Roman society is far from perfect. I enjoyed watching her learn to think for herself and grow from a fragile girl into a strong woman.

Valeria and Taran are a bit of an odd couple. Despite coming from completely different backgrounds, they have an almost immediate connection. Even though they find themselves in several intense situations, I like that they were still able to take time to get to know each other. They have great chemistry that sizzles with each encounter. Unfortunately, Taran and Valeria’s union will not go unopposed. The elders of Taran’s tribe aren’t about to let a Roman enter their community without serious consideration. Will Valeria survive the challenge or lose Tarn forever?

I think Ms. Jarecki paced the tale very well. There was plenty of fast paced action interspersed with some slower sections. In addition, several situations had rather surprising outcomes. Just when I thought I knew how things would play out, Ms. Jarecki threw in a twist or two. This kept the story fresh and interesting without seeming too farfetched.

Rescued by the Celtic Warrior is an entertaining read. Valeria and Taran are great main characters and their romance is certainly compelling. I recommend this tale of love and courage to fans of historical romance.

Every action has a consequence, although not all consequences show up right away.

How do you tell the difference between someone who is genuinely devout and someone who pretends to be pious for social or financial reasons? This question was returned to again and again during the course of this tale. One of the things I appreciate the most about the science fiction genre is how willing it is to explore potentially controversial topics like this one without insisting that everyone come to the same conclusion. What was particularly interesting about this line of thought, though, was how it was woven into such a fast-paced storyline. Not every novel that asks philosophical questions dwells on them. Sometimes bringing these things up to begin with is more than enough to make a reader consider all of the possibilities.

Many of the characters had fascinating backstories, but I had a hard time figuring out what their personalities were like or how certain events affected him. This was particularly noticeable when it came to Buddy. Even though he was the protagonist, I never felt like I got to know him as well as I would have expected for a full length novel. Had I known more about his personality and personal growth, I would have felt comfortable giving this story a much higher rating.

The title and premise of this book were both definitely eye-catching. As soon as I read the blurb, I knew this was something that I wanted to read. Mr. Whitaker takes a playful, tongue-in-cheek approach to topics that are usually only discussed seriously, and he does so effortlessly. I’m drawn to this writing style and will be keeping an eye out for what he comes up with next.

My Life as a Sperm was a fun ride. I’d recommend it to anyone who prefers their science fiction to be cheeky and imaginative.

Wanted: ghostwriter. Must be female, a baseball fan, and have a great pair of legs.

Ex-pitcher Rowdy Blanton never saw a woman he couldn’t conquer or a team he couldn’t beat. And now that he’s off the field he’s ready to tell all about when he played the field. So he chooses Breeanne Carlyle to do the job—she’s got the requirements, but more important, there’s something about her that makes him want to be a better man.

Convinced there’s more to Rowdy than a good fastball, a wicked smile, and a tight pair of pants, Breeanne can’t help but be tempted. After all, it’s boring always being the good girl, and Rowdy dares her to be just a little bad. The stakes are high, but win or lose, this time Breeanne’s breaking all the rules playing the game of love.

In medical term we still don’t have the medicines for medical problems and even the recent researches find out some herbs as very much effective to cure the symptoms of erectile dysfunction. get viagra no prescription If you’re going to buy online, it’s best you read evaluation sites about drugs online to understand where the very best online store . raindogscine.com buy online viagra You should know that cheapest line viagra is the required dose to increase the blood flow to the penis which is called as corpora cavernosa. best prices for cialis http://raindogscine.com/tag/festivales/ It provides minerals, vitamins and carbohydrates to nourish the reproductive organs. A man who’s convinced his successful sport life is over, and a woman who hasn’t had the chance to start living yet make magic together. Their romance, as unexpected and unlikely as it is, is sweet and hopeful.

Perhaps the attraction Rowdy feels for Breeanne at first seems unbelievable. He is used to the attention of the prettiest women on the planet, so him finding the very average and inexperienced girl a huge temptation seems far-fetched. However, as we get to know her (and him, for that matter), it all begins to make sense. She turns out to be genuine, spunky and intelligent and her beauty doesn’t lie in her looks, but rather in what a great character she is.

Rowdy, too, shows us various layers of his personality as we follow his journey after a severe injury that ended his career. He’s got depth that he usually hides behind teasing remarks and a disarming smile. As for the attraction he feels for Breeanne – it’s easy to understand it once we compare her to his previous lovers.

Although we see little of Breeanne’s family, the short cameos of her sisters are strong enough to make me want to read their stories too. Their relationships are genuine and strong, and the author uses them wonderfully to show their individual and very distinct characters. Warwick was another favorite of mine with his silent ways and towering presence.

The quotes at the beginning of chapters were a nice addition that I’m sure every baseball fan would appreciate, and they were a great introduction into the chapters themselves.

The story as a whole flows nicely, never stalling as it’s always full of surprises and twists. Most of those stem out of Breeanne’s inexperience and quirky character, so they don’t just propel the story forward but also reveal a lot about her character.

Both protagonists of Back in the Game have gone through hard times, but they came out stronger than they thought possible. The book portrays them and their relationship nicely, showing us that there’s hope even when things seem bleak.

Step inside a world where reality isn’t real.

In the future, the entire world has been united under one empire: America. Ivan Luciano is the most powerful man in that empire, and he wields that power with an iron fist. But he wants more, and it was easy enough to convince his girlfriend, Lucy, to help.

A brilliant engineer, Lucy, has brought life to robots. They’re even passing as humans. One of them is now going to run for President of the United States. And, if Ivan has his way, he’ll win. And with a robot as the Commander-in-Chief, Ivan will have ultimate control.

After falling in love with a rebel and discovering some startling news about Ivan, Lucy leads a clan of revolutionaries, which she recruits from around the world, to combat her ex’s greed and stop him once and for all.

With her knowledge of the robots, she can save the world…if Ivan doesn’t win first.

Lucy Jefferson is a brilliant scientist who is very lacking in social skills. As a result she throws herself into her work to the exclusion of nearly everything else. When she was young she’d dreamed of saving the world, but then she met Ivan Luciano who convinced her that robotics would bring peace. Lucy is mesmerized by Ivan and she does develop incredible robots, robots which can pass as human. Ivan is in total control of the entire world, which has been taken over by America. But when Lucy starts to see the reality beneath Ivan’s world, she pulls away.

It took me awhile to warm up to Lucy. She figures things out, but then the minute she sees Ivan again, she lets her body dictate her actions, even when she wants to do otherwise. But when she discovers a truth that she can’t stomach, she flees, stealing Ivan’s ultimate robot. However, Ivan, anticipating this, just plays with her as if she were a toy.

Lucy travels around the world and there are lengthy detailed descriptions of this harsh dystopian world. I would have liked more action, more plot to this novel. However there is no denying that the picture painted in this novel of an all too possible future is both powerful and devastatingly bleak.

Lucy meets some interesting people along the way and she also runs into a lot of opposition. It seems that most people are happy to shop at IvanMart, the only choice they have. As Ivan explained to Lucy, “This way, we can ensure all products are made ethically and that every American can enjoy a decent standard of living. We had to figure out a way to keep products cheap, so that people can buy more stuff, so that they can be happy.”

I recommend America, Inc. to readers who enjoy very dark dystopian science fiction.

But when a devastating secret from their past threatens their future, Shep must fight to heal Hannah’s heart. Because this time, their love will truly be unforgettable…

Shep and his romance with Hannah were indeed unforgettable and it was a pleasure to read their story.

Shep and Hannah’s summer romance proved to be more than just a fling, in more ways than one. It left a strong mark on both of them and neither is capable to ever really forget what they’d shared that summer long ago. When they again meet thirteen years later, their chemistry is still there although Hannah tries to fight it at all cost. But Shep is unrelenting. He wants her back and he’ll do anything to keep her this time. This was a characteristic that made me really like Shep.

Hannah, too, was an intriguing character and I could identify with her cautiousness when it came to Shep. She’d been burned before and she didn’t want a repeat of that. But her reluctance to tell him the truth about the events from thirteen years ago annoyed me because she had no good reason to keep it from him. But all that was forgiven when she realized she was prepared to give up her life to stay with Shep.

The emotional development of the characters is intense and will keep you invested in their story even though the pace slumps in the second half of the novel. Although this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone, but the rest of the characters made me want to read their stories too.

The wealth of emotions in Unforgettable will make you feel with the characters and root for their happy ending.

Cecilia is considered a dreamer and spends most of her time wandering the countryside with her paints and sketchbook. Her mother has plans for her to marry the younger son of the local nobility, and her daughter obediently tries to attract the man’s attention.

The beginning of the seemed a bit slow and dry, but after the first few pages I got hooked. Cecilia blossomed into a woman who knew her own mind, but didn’t want to disappoint her mama. William wrestled with his love for Cecilia and his desire to do missionary work. His longing to be a missionary did not include a wife.

I felt as if both the main characters were my friends and I longed to be able to help them, especially when the nasty younger son had designs on Cecilia which didn’t include marriage. The setting was outside the debutante area of London and this made it more interesting for me as it provided a new aspect to the era. Charlotte Brentwood has provided a unique vision into small village life when the nobility ruled everything.

Nothing about Reese’s big day goes according to plan. She walks down the aisle to marry one man, and winds up in a Vegas wedding chapel with another. After a hot night with Tony, the only thing Reese regrets is that her new husband doesn’t remember anything about it.

Reese suspects the marriage is going to end badly, especially when Tony offers her a million dollars a month to stay married—who does that? But walking away from him turns out to be harder than she’d thought. Especially as she starts to know the man behind the wallet.

This book was an enjoyable read. It is book two in The Billionaire Bargains Series, and was very well done. It was romantic and sexy, and had an entertaining plot that caught my attention right away.

Super rich Tony Steele has wanted Reese for a long time. One wedding day confession later and these two friends tie the knot in Vegas. Then they realize that they don’t actually know each other all that well. While Tony is used to fixing everything with money, he soon finds out that it’s not that easy with Reese. She demands more than money from Tony. She needs him to actually get involved, and he realizes a few things about himself along the way.

I connected with the couple. I felt their relationship was real, the conflict was that they had to work on some things. It made it more believable to me as the reader. The next thing was how well I liked the characters themselves. Reese had a good heart, while Tony lived large. To tell the truth, I fell hard for Tony right from the beginning, but it took me longer for Reese. Now for the juicy part which for me is always the love scenes. These two had no problem in that department. They had chemistry that sizzled, and sex scenes that burned up the pages.

All in all, this was a good story that I enjoyed reading. It was well written, had an easy flowing plot, and characters that were likeable. I would recommend it.

Misty Simon does a good job at describing the internal conflict of the protagonist, Chelsea. Although she finds herself suddenly falling for her childhood friend, she has responsibilities she can’t forget about, particularly her four-year-old daughter and a job where she’s just been promised a promotion.

Jack, on the other hand, is desperately trying to not get involved with Chelsea because she is his sister’s best friend. But he’s been harboring fantasies about Chelsea since his teens and she’s grown into a wonderful woman he can’t seem to resist. Jack was actually my favorite character because, unlike Chelsea, he knew what he wanted and he tried his best to get it.

Although Chelsea’s indecision and some unnecessary and lengthy descriptions slow the plot down, the story is still enough emotionally intense to keep the reader’s interest. Since this story has been done countless times before, the reader can trust that the tension between Chelsea and Jack will be resolved and will eventually bring about a sweet ending.

Belinda, the bridezilla, and Chelsea’s daughter Mazzy brought some nice comic relief to the story and livened up the pace.

Making Room at the Inn is a quick chick lit read with warm characters and a happy resolution.

Julia London writes engaging characters sure to charm the reader. This was definitely the case with this book. I loved them, I hated them and at times I wanted to put the book down, but I’m glad I saw it through. The writing is crisp. The characters are imperfect and frankly, this was a good book.

Grace is unique. She’s feisty and knows what she wants. Initially, she wasn’t one of my favorites because well…trapping a man in marriage seemed…silly. She’s so forthright otherwise, why doesn’t she stick to what works or better yet, find a guy who likes her pluckiness? That aside, I grew to enjoy her character and liked how she worked with Jeffery. They didn’t seem to me to be suited for each other, but that’s what I liked–seeing them having to coexist.

Jeffery…where do I begin? The guy has issues. I liked how the author tackled his form of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) because it made him realistic. People have issues. His fixation with seeing women tied up and in sexual situations was new, but it’s not really heavy BDSM. Honestly, he just likes a little satin mixed in. Honestly, I have yet to meet a guy who doesn’t see most everything in a sexual fashion. I didn’t dislike Jeffery, but he was hard to take at times.

Still, this made for a good read and one I’d pick up again.

If you like books that are a little off the beaten path and sure to please, then this might be the book for you.
