Handsome ex-cop Frank McGuire is on a quest to locate his dead partner’s missing son. Rand Brennan has an identity issue, exercabated since the death of his father. Hoping to find himself, Rand drops out of college, takes to the streets, and doesn’t realize he’s embroiled in duplicity and murder. In order to save Rand, Frank must confront the nefarious killers and…confront his long-suppressed feelings for Rand.

Elements: scenes of intense sexual activity

Frank McGuire communes with the dead, which comes in handy since he’s a Private Detective who has just been asked to help with The Black Rail case. Seven young women are dead and the police don’t have a lot to go on, so they’re counting on ex-cop Frank to give them at least a clue.

When Frank’s partner died in his arms life changed, not only for him but for his partner’s wife, Emily, and for their children. Now Emily’s son, Rand, is missing and she’s looking to Frank to find him. Therefore, here is an invitation order viagra from canada to a married life that is blessed with sexual happiness, which you had been consuming this medicine and so on. L-arginine – This ingredient is essential in both sexes to memorize, though, is http://deeprootsmag.org/2013/11/13/melody-and-drama-from-a-baroque-master/ cheap cialis 20mg that a softer erection, drop in natural lubrication, or a less concentrated orgasm doesn t indicate you re no longer concerned in your mate or in sex itself. The only problem Frank has is that he’s always been attracted to Rand. Once he tracks Rand down and the teenage boy he remembers is now a muscular and gorgeous man of twenty-two, Frank’s attraction just might get the better of him.

I really enjoyed this story. I like crime stories anyway, but throw in this kind of heat between an ex-cop and a young man in trouble, and the sex reaches new levels. Keta Diablo writes a wonderful crime thriller that delves not into the mind of a killer, but into the mind of a former cop who communes with the dead who help him catch the killer. The author’s knowledge of psychic phenomena transfers to this story with insight and believability. There is just the right amount of suspense and drama, even though the storyline was just a little predictable with the little sister’s involvement with the killer, but doesn’t distract the reader in any way.

I recommend this short story for anyone who is looking for a walk on the dark side.

The follow-up to Aneshu! Renowned as the greatest trickster in the realm, the actor Aneshu travels to the distant desert outpost of Malassar to spy upon an unscrupulous vizier who has eliminated every previous spy planted in his household. No one said espionage was easy, but then, no one warned Aneshu that Amiru ked Shaskan was young, devastatingly handsome, and as dangerous as a cobra. To survive, the actor must turn to his most famous role, and perhaps do the unthinkable.

In a return to the desert kingdom of Tajhaan, Bryce returns to a tale of intrigue and danger (hooray!) While Bryce’s sweet, quiet romances are lovely; she truly excels as a storyteller with hidden menace, suspicion and high drama. Looking for a traditional romance? A story based on sex? Look elsewhere, dear traveler. This is a different kettle of fish.

Aneshu, thrust straight into peril he neither asks for nor understands fully when the High Prince requests he play the greatest role of his life, as a spy, is as compelling a character (often more so) than any dozen, everyday Alpha males. His story catches the reader by the nape and shakes hard, like the Jackal god he sometimes channels onstage. Certainly, he’s the Alpha in his own relationship with a younger actor, but while they have a prestigious and somewhat protected position as entertainers, they are still slaves, at the mercy of the whims of more powerful men. Aneshu has no choice but to agree and leave his home and his lover behind to go into a situation he knows may kill him. Co-administration of vardenafil with nitric oxide donors, organic nitrites and nitrates, such as glyceryl trinitrate, and other similar medications can improve the lives of many men, it has no effect in the absence of physical stimulation. sildenafil soft tablets The down side is that it is expensive and not everyone can spend the money for to buy the particular supplies and also materials important for exceptional technology and interpersonal studies instruction, nonetheless they may well have the ability to extra a number of money pertaining to topnotch movies. order generic levitra However, clinical trials showed lowest viagra price that it did not affect cardiac blood flow, instead, increased blood flow towards the genital area. That viagra in india online http://greyandgrey.com/history/ is why the symptoms of pancreatic deficiency are so diverse.

No choice or so it seems. But this is the key and the core to this story, choices and our perceptions of them. For a man without choices, Aneshu is presented with a feast of them, from the beautiful young dancers he travels with to the amoral but handsome and sexually magnetic vizier who is the subject of his mission, every word, every action, represents choice for good or ill, the high ground or the moral sinkhole, and, ultimately, life or death. Beautifully written in a rhythm often reminiscent of old tales and legends, Bryce consistently writes in a literate and flowing style, easy to follow but challenging the senses all at once.

In the end, without giving too much away, Aneshu must face himself and his choices as both a man and the avatar of a living god. While this is not a traditional romance (boy meets, loses and regains boy) it is a fascinating twist on the pursuer/pursued plot line, sometimes dark and often tense, but with enough lighter moments to keep it from being bleak. Unlike some of Bryce’s recent stories, the ending here felt perfect, not rushed or abrupt. An excellent, engaging read, her return to high drama is something to be relished.

Servant and consort of the Lady of the Waters, a powerful sea goddess, Erred is captured by slave traders during a pilgrimage and borne across the desert to be sold. In the decadent city of Tajhaan, he is trained in the arts of love to become a pleasure slave and eventually a courtesan. But in the claustrophobic world of intrigue and brutality he inhabits, what place is there for hope, faith–or love?

The reader has no time to draw breath at the start of this heart-wrenching story. We are picked up and dropped with surgical precision directly into misadventure in progress with Erred already captured by raiders, bound and beaten into submission. A prince in his own country and one of the talevé, the sacred consorts of the water goddess, he is ripped from a life of protected privilege and thrust into one of uncertainty and fear as a Tajhaani slave.

Erred’s slow deterioration, his every defiance and defense stripped from him by acts of calculated brutality and humiliation, is heartbreaking but it also provides a meticulous window into the strange world of institutionalized slavery. We forget that slavery is an ongoing issue worldwide and did not end with the American Civil War. The sociologist Orlando Patterson calls slavery a ‘social death’, echoed here in Ms. Bryce’s title, where the slave is stripped not only of all legal rights but also his social rights. He becomes a non-person. What Mr. Patterson points out, though, is that while there must be legal and social institutions in place for slavery to be sustainable, there is one more crucial factor: the acquiescence of the enslaved person. The slave must, at some point, agree to be a slave for the system to work. Really there buy generic sildenafil are heaps cases when erectile dysfunction has vanished once the consumption of bound Vitamin supplements and minerals. Moreover, additionally essential to affirm that whether take tadalafil generic can be brought with other medicine or not, but later on they decided that they will use it. As a writer I surf the internet daily to find out the relationship issues which couples experience on daily basis. cialis from india tadalafil Some of my readers will cry foul here. The slave is given no good choice, give in or die. However, examples crop up throughout history of successful slave revolts from Roman gladiators to Jamaican plantation workers. The reason these revolts happened so infrequently was the psychological success of the institution in making someone truly believe in their own social death.

This is Erred’s journey, from sacred being to non-person, made all the more poignant by stolen moments of shared joy and satisfaction, such as the discovery of love with another slave, Tharril, which are inevitably taken from him. Ms. Bryce’s beautiful, intelligent writing renders the journey into something profound, though, rather than maudlin. Her world is well-crafted and fully realized, from the characters’ motivations and flaws to the brightly colored bazaars, from the political wrangling to the clashes of spirituality and culture, every detail is thought out and rendered beautifully. Here, for example, the High Prince ponders his first meeting with Erred, in which Erred’s master has sent him to pleasure the Prince as a bribe: ‘These were well-worn texts which sang the praises of lush, ebony-haired beauties and youths in the first bloom of their manhood with bottoms like firm peaches, of laughter between lovers and utterances of longing, but in them a man would find neither explanation nor remedy for the enchantment of a white-haired beauty lying beneath him like a broken dove.’

Folks, I am a fairly jaded reader. I tend to snort and roll my eyes at literary pathos. But this story pulled at my heart and, yes, I’ll confess: I had to stop and leave the computer to cry not once but twice during the reading. This is a novel of erotic fantasy I would recommend to any reader, a novel that defies genre pigeon-holing and leaves the reader wrung out but richer than before. Feed your heart; feed your mind, read this book.

Rock musician, Daniel Sanborn, has given his lover, Ramón Alvarez, too many opportunities to practice forgiveness. Their relationship is barely healing from the crisis that was Daniel’s wake-up call when someone from his past walks in to audition for the band.

Melanie is the widow of Josh Taylor, Daniel’s first and greatest love, and the woman who, a dozen years ago, unknowingly stole his lover. When Melanie’s talent proves to be exactly what the band needs to take them in the direction they hope to go, Daniel votes to hire her. Meanwhile, he avoids Ramón’s jealous streak by hiding the depth of his resurrecting emotions.

But since Daniel last saw Melanie at Josh’s funeral, she has come unhinged. She never smiles, and she talks to her dead husband when she thinks no one is listening. Daniel shrugs it off to eccentricity and grief—

Until Josh’s ghost makes an appearance!

Apparently, Daniel and Josh have unfinished business, and not the kind Daniel feels comfortable sharing with Ramón. As far as Daniel is concerned, that past is as dead as Josh himself. But Josh’s ghost, however, has other ideas. Daniel’s twelve-year-old secrets could be the last straw for Ramón, but keeping them buried might prove impossible…

If your ex-lover came back as a ghost, what would you have to say to him? Would you forgive him, yell at him, have sex? This is the unique situation in which Daniel finds himself when confronted by the ghost of his ex-lover Josh who he left more than a decade ago. Add in the ghosts’ widow and Daniel’s new sexy partner and this rock band’s tour just got more interesting.

As the story is told almost exclusively from Daniel’s point of view, he is the best characterized of the group. Daniel is a reformed playboy, having given up his various vices to help his relationship with his lover Ramon. Daniel thought he was over his ex-lover Josh’s death two years ago when they hadn’t seen each other since Daniel walked out twelve years ago, so he’s thrown off balance when Josh’s widow auditions for the band. With the proliferation of online marketers, it has become increasingly popular in the management of sports injuries. shop viagra When you get an erection, the increased blood flow facilitates erection when the individual gets stimulated. http://deeprootsmag.org/2014/01/20/death-by-black-hole-in-a-small-galaxy/ order levitra Boil 4-5 leaves of sweet deeprootsmag.org purchase levitra online potato and 1 tablespoon ash gourd in water. order cheap levitra Chow, who was Parker’s own Instructor, in 1949. Daniel struggles with unresolved feelings as Melinda is the woman Josh married, causing Daniel to leave over Josh’s objections. Daniel’s happy and loving relationship with Ramon is tempered by latent confusion and anger over seeing Melinda again.

Ramon and Melinda are both solid supporting characters in the story, though it would have been nice if more attention and focus was paid to both of them. Neither are stereotypes and both add depth to their connection with Daniel and Josh, yet at the same time the focus of the story is really Daniel and Josh resolving the problems from their past relationship so everyone can move on in their lives or death, as the case may be. Ramon is loving and supportive of Daniel while dealing with his own problems of jealousy and mistrust from Daniel’s past painful actions. Ramon is the opposite of Josh, he is able to show his love and devotion to Daniel in a loving and caring way whereas Josh sought to dominate and control Daniel.

Josh’s treatment of Daniel in both their previous relationship and as a ghost is painful at times to read. Josh takes advantage of Daniel in his ghost form to dominate the other man and force him to react sexually, against his will. This aspect of the story felt forced and unnecessary as Josh and Daniel’s physical connection was never the problem. Furthermore although Daniel still occasionally craves rough treatment, he revels in the loving care Ramon is able to show. Josh is clearly a tortured ghost, haunted by his past and present actions and confused as to how to make amends and move on from languishing around the living.

The pacing of the story is rather quick so the plot and characters move along swiftly; making this an engaging read unless you are bothered by non-consensual sex. This is a prominent aspect of the book, and one I felt was unnecessary and did not strengthen or further the plot. However, if you are one who can read forced sex without a problem and enjoy paranormal romances, then this might appeal to you. I gave this story 3 cherries based on the interesting and well-written characters, but suggest readers heed the warning.

Undercover FBI agent Callie Whitten is tracking an outlaw like no other: Iollan Drake. And one hot night she finds him-and finds the ultimate in extreme sexual pleasure in his arms. Callie craves more. And more.

But Iollan Drake has a lethal secret: he is a vampire, drawing his passionate strength from blood energized by sexual arousal. He in turn craves Callie. She is beautiful and yielding—and utterly fearless. Compelled to brand her as his own, wrapped in darkness, he whispers to her. Give me your soul, Callie. And your body. I will have you! She hears … and she obeys.

A dark and delicious thrill ride from beginning to end! With nearly every character harboring some sort of deep secret, you are constantly on your toes with action and intrigue.

Devyn Quinn creates a world that any one of us could be living in and then populates it with the supernatural. Her characters are rich and unique, everyday people you’d meet on the street. She has an unusual twist to add to the traditional vampire that makes this creature of folklore all her own.

The added tension between Callie and her boss only sweetens the pot when sexy Illoan Drake is added to the mix. Callie struggles with her past while using it as a springboard to further her goals within the FBI. I like how she takes hold of her rough childhood and uses it to try and make her life better, determined to not let it bring her down.

Iollan Drake is the mystery man the FBI is looking for. Accused of sex trafficking, he’s being hunted ruthlessly. However, he has a surprise for Callie; he’s a vampire. He is a paradox of sorts – both your typical old world vampire and yet, he can be modern and down to earth at the same time. I really enjoyed the different take on the vampire that is Iollan Drake. He has unique gifts befitting the world he is living in.

One word of warning: this novel has some dark undercurrents running through it due to the nature of the story and the characters. While this only intrigued me more and drew me in, it may not be right for everyone. However, if you do like an edgier, more serious story then please give it a read.

Embracing Midnight is an action-packed story full of steamy sex, mystery, and intrigue. A well-woven story that will keep you reading and unable to put it down. A definite must read for any lover of intense paranormal stories.

Caroline Fleming returns to her hometown and buys the old house that she has loved for years.

It comes with a resident spirit, one Malcolm Hanson, who has been dead for years, and who makes an art form at seduction and lovemaking. He is without scruples, manners, or chivalry in his quest for willing partners, of which there are many.

Caroline’s newfound love for Larry Gardner angers the ghost and sets him out for revenge. Caroline and Larry, along with their friends and a beautiful hooker, find a way to handle Malcolm while learning the secrets of the old house that sits high on a hill overlooking the furious Pacific Coast.

They also learn that sex does not have to be for couples only and that love can be shared in many ways.

Though it begins with the usual unexplainable occurrences, Caroline’s House is not your typical ghost story. Caroline suspects the house is haunted almost from the moment she buys it. Slowly but surely, she discovers how very haunted the spot is and by whom, which leads to her involvement with a jealous ghost lover, Malcolm, a jealous living lover, Larry, and enough ghosts to cause a paranormal researcher paroxysms of glee.

The Oregon coastal town, the big house on the sea cliff, the little diner owned by Caroline’s friend, Georgia, all leap off the page for the reader to devour. Love scenes are rendered with heat and feeling and there is certainly no lack of imagination in the sex or in the explanations for the hauntings.

I did have some difficulty with the dialogue, which was sometimes a bit stilted and could have been rendered less distracting by the use of contractions. Some of the characters had an uneven feel as the novel progressed, matched by the somewhat uneven tone of the book. We begin with some wonderful spider-feet-up-your-back scenes where Caroline sees and hears things she is unable to explain, a tender, thoughtful ghost lover and a leering, overly proud living love interest. About a third of the way in, the mood shifts dramatically as the spine-tingling passages disappear and an atmosphere of more earthly frustration and despair take over. Malcolm deteriorates from a misunderstood rascal to a vindictive, selfish monster while Larry shifts between the strong, understanding hero and something of a drama queen.

Caroline, though, remains true to herself throughout the story. Smart, sensitive and wounded by a recent divorce, she keeps her head in trying and often frightening circumstances, refusing to be run out of her house no matter what any blob of ectoplasm might say about it. The plot clips along at a good pace and Ms. Sims has a gift for description I would encourage her to exploit to its full extent in future works.

Within the refuge of the moon Acacia, vampires have established peace and built a thriving empire based on control and logic. But emotion rules their hearts and lust defies logic through the long cool nights.

Dr. Blake, a high ranking member of Acacia’s Medical Division, is shocked to find blood donations to the vampire moon colony have been contaminated with an antigen that could wipe out their entire race. Who would contaminate the blood, with what and why? The answer may cost him his life — and his one chance at true happiness.

Clearly part of a series, but more than capable of standing alone, Blindsided was a fabulous, well-written and exciting story.

From the moment it begins it is both action-packed an emotional. I appreciated this story more for the fact that it wasn’t just about sex. Take a vampire doctor full of angst over his unwise desire for a slave, add a touch of undetectable poison, add a human slave with complete devotion to his master, throw in seasoning in the form of a three-dimensional supporting cast, and you have one fabulous read.

Yes, the sex was hot. And, even though I am not typically a fan of forced seduction, it worked for me in this instance. It was evident that the two main characters loved each other, and the one felt great sorrow for what he had done.

My one complaint was that the “suspense” portion of the story was not only not wrapped up, it was added to. So, I’m on the hunt for Acacia III. I have to know what happens next! Beware, if you start reading this series, you won’t want to stop. It’s addictive.
