This story was sexual from start to finish. The physical connection between these two almost never ended. Personally I would have liked to have seen more variations of the type of sex, maybe have the characters step out into something a bit more daring. Still, the fact that the beginning of the sexual encounter was forced by the Eros pheromones was most likely kinky enough for many folks.

Between the well-developed male lead and more sex than the average girl can handle, this story made for a good, hot and interesting read.

This author has a gift when it comes to creating exciting characters. Once I started reading the first story I quickly made my way through the rest because I had to know what they were going to do next. It also helped that all of the stories followed the Colorado Springs Pack. So each story incorporated the characters from the previous story, and many of the characters were introduced in the previous story so that the flow was continuous.

Pack Mentality: Alpha Bites

This story is about Jenny who is currently dating two separate men. Little does she know that Sasha not only knows she is seeing another man, but is trying to figure out a way for all three of them to be one happy sexual pack. I would like to have seen the fact that they where werewolves play a little bigger part in the story. It seemed to only affect the story in the fact that Liam and Sasha could smell another man on Jenny. Other than that I don’t think it really added as much as it could have. One thing that I did find intriguing about this particular story was the fact that Liam seems to be the one with reservations once things are discovered. In many of these stories both men seem to be on the same page but the woman is the one with the concerns, so it was a nice little twist.

Pack Mentality: Myra’s Mate

I absolutely adore Myra and Colin. I like the fact that Myra is such a free spirit and completely different from not only the pack but the type of female that Colin would normally go for. In this story we get to follow the budding relationship between Pack Alpha Kamen and Steve. Not only do you see the development within their relationship, but also the disapproval of the direction Kamen is taking that pack by some of the other werewolves. Kamen is definitely an alpha male while Steve still needs direction in his life. So the fact that these two can come together and help one another see a different side of themselves is great. But don’t worry, all of the characters from the previous storie are well-intertwined in this story also. Of all four stories this one definitely had the best plot.

Pack Mentality: Natural Selection

This story introduces two new characters Ryan and Loyal. Unlike the two previous stories, you do not know these characters prior to the story. Ryan is a wolf shifter while Loyal is a Bear shifter. Since in the previous story Kamen, Steve, Myra, Colin, Jenny, Liam and Sasha left the pack to move to a new area they meet Ryan and Loyal. Where the previous stories focused mostly on the couple that particular story was about, in this one it went back and forth between the previous characters and the couple in this story. I think this took away from Ryan and Loyal, so I was not able to connect with them as well as I had with the other characters. I do think this story wrapped up the entire book well, since by then you know the outcome of all of the characters.

There was an inconsistency that I found within this book. They mention in the first and second story that Myra can shift into any organic/living thing including plants, but she will remain that way for the entire three days of the full moon. In the last story Myra takes the form of Colin the first evening of the full moon, but becomes Ryan the second evening and returns to herself in the morning. It confused me a bit, but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the stories.

Yummy alpha males are all over this book. It is one of the reasons I enjoy weres so much. Each of these stories has at least one alpha male if not two. And although they exude power and authority they are willing to bend in order to make their partner or partners happy. No man or woman is safe around these shifters. This was a collection I enjoyed. What an exciting cast of characters! Each story in this collection had a great set of memorable characters. Whether I loved them or feared them I just couldn’t get enough.

This story is about Carter and Roman. I loved the fact that these two are such an unlikely pair. Roman does not believe in love and Carter’s unwillingness to accept the fact that he is gay makes for an exciting story. When Roman with the assistance of Petyr finally seduces Carter boy did things get interesting in a very good way. The secondary characters in this story are also exceptional, especially Petyr. His antics are truly entertaining.

Between the Covers

This story follows Leah and Sam. Although these two are human they are quickly dragged into the supernatural world when they discover that people keep having sex in a particular section of the library. Although it has no relation to the two previous stories it was still part of the supernatural world. This one was based on Mayan history and the god of fertility and we all know you cannot have fertility without sex. Patrice gets to practice with two gorgeous gods. I just wished the story never ended.

Bump in the Night

This story was the shortest of them all only being about 20 pages. It is about a man name Wade who is a ghost detective who has an interesting encounter with the couple Joshua and Karen who own the house. Because this story is so short you do not get the depth that you got with the previous stories. It is also not related any of the previous stories. It was highly erotic and was a nice sexy end to this collection.

The only thing I would have liked to have seen was for all the stories to tie into each other somehow, especially since the first two seemed to accomplish this so well. Each of these stories was extremely sensual and seductive. Not only did the characters find themselves being seduced but I as a reader felt the pull of sexual attraction. I would definitely recommend this collection to my friends.

Also I feel like he handled high stress situations even better than Logan seemed to. This in no way means that I disliked Logan, I just found it interesting. The one thing I found unique about this plot was that the wolves had an ongoing battle/war with the Bears. Because of this I really enjoyed this conflict within the story. This conflict also contributed to numerous other problems within the separate groups so it definitely added more depth to the storyline.

The relationship did leave me with a few questions. Like why Logan seemed to be so harsh toward Andrew and Kimberlyn at certain moments when they where only doing what they felt was right. I also did not understand the way Andrew and Logan interacted in the bedroom. I mean Logan was the extreme alpha in public but Andrew came off a little more domineering in private.

This story was definitely spicy. I mean it had every type of sexual partner match up you can think of m/m, f/f, and f/m/m/m … it really had it all. For someone like me who can really go for about anything sexually in stories, it made it a very interesting read. This is only the first installment of a series so it will definitely be interesting to see what happens next.

Not only did this story draw me in from the very beginning, I actually whimpered at the end, because I was not ready to leave the world Shayla Kersten created. This story really had me feeling every emotion, whether it be happy, sad, angry, lustful, it really had it all. While the ending wasn’t quite what I expected, the conflict was solved in a better way than I could have imagined. This author clearly knows what she was doing by leaving her readers wanting more.

One of the reasons I never liked sci-fi stories was because I always felt they were either too descriptive, or not descriptive enough. Shayla Kersten gave me just enough information in this story that I could see the world she was trying to create, yet had enough space to add my own mental imagery to it as well. I just hope that the author will continue Teo and Siron’s story, because I am sure it will be flying off the shelves.

If you science fiction (or even if you don’t!), do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of “Angel Moon”. It’s a keeper.

Heaven and Hell 1: Gabriel’s Match
This story follows archangel Gabriel and Lucifer’s daughter Malina. Gabriel, despite being an archangel also has a bad side to him that demands him to be in control of his mate at all times. Malina is not the submissive female everyone would like to believe. Although this relationship was sometimes violent, watching it develop was definitely exciting. I enjoyed the fact that although an archangel, Gabriel has a bad side as a result of the battles and torture he has endured fighting on behalf of God (who is female in this series).

We continue to follow Gabriel and Malina. Although they have established their positions in the relationship they are still not out of trouble yet. Malina must make a decision to follow Gabriel or her destiny. This story also introduces some other characters pertinent to the series. Heaven and Hell 3: Unholy Pact
This story features Michael and Gemma. Michael’s endless patience and Gemma’s spitfire attitude amused me throughout the entire story. After reading the previous story, I could not wait to get to Michael and Gemma’s story so Michael could get the happy ever after he deserved. Soluna, a Mage and Werewolf mix, has more than enough power for not only herself and Raphael if only she can make him see that she just wants him to be the alpha she so desperately needs. This story may have had the hottest sex scenes of the series (not that the others weren’t scorching). Where the hero and heroine lacked in ability to express themselves emotionally, they did not lack sexually. And in the end I was so happy that both of these characters got what they so desperately needed.

The author’s imagination really impressed me throughout this entire series. The way she blends history, folklore and fiction is nothing less than amazing. Her view on good vs. evil is truly genius. Once I started reading I could not stop. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. I you need a good fantasy to get lost in, this is the one you ought to get.

The conflict in this story was great. It actually left me questioning who was really on the side of justice on a few occasions. The only people you can actually say have the right intentions throughout this story are Senth and Khyff and even they have a checkered past. I mean how trustworthy can a thief and a prostitute really be? This was a good sci-fi story with a great cast and interesting plot. I look forward to more from this world.
