Convenience store clerk, Katy Simms has got to be the only woman in North America who hasn’t heard of megastar Derrick Nelson, which makes her boarding house the perfect place for him to recover from a nervous breakdown. When he stumbles into her life one summer night, all Katy sees is a unemployed drifter named Caleb who needs a couple of decent meals and some human compassion. Her presence calms his soul, while his patience lifts her confidence.

Together, they are more, but will Caleb’s fame and Katy’s generous nature drive a wedge between two people who were meant to be…ever together?

Do you believe opposites attract? Do you think that two people from very different worlds can backgrounds can make it together? If you’re not a believer, reading Ever Together just might make you think differently. This is a story of a powerful love.

Katy is young and sometimes a little naive. She’s the kindest woman you’ll ever meet. She’s always willing to help, and she has a way about her that people tend to want to be near her. She struggles with things that for others come easy, but Katy is a determined woman, and she strives to reach her goals. I was immediately drawn to her character. At times, she overreacts, but when she’s wrong, Katy admits it, after awhile.

Caleb is a celebrity who just needs a little peace and quiet. Never in a million years did he imagine he’d be drawn to this small town, let alone the owner of the house he’s staying it. I love Caleb. He’s apparently a mega star, but his celebrity persona and his regular life persona are the same guy. You only need viagra online about viagra online to consume the jelly that is in the packet. Caleb is a down to earth man who has deep family roots. He’s not one of those attention hogs, and he genuinely loves what he does. Even though he’s famous, Caleb still loves the regular life. The tension that builds between him and Katy develops into a blossoming romance.

Caleb helps Katy, and in return she helps him, but neither of them really know that right away. They make each other a better person, they are two halves that make a whole. Caleb is patient with Katy and some of her self doubts and quirks, and Katy makes Caleb long for more than just his acting career. The cast of characters bring so much to this story as well. It’s like a tight knit family, everyone looks out for the other, and they accept Caleb as one of their own.

Everything about this story calls to me — the characters, the writing, the wonderful plot. It’s heartwarming, emotional, and beautiful. I’d love to see more stories like this out on the market. Ever Together gives me hope, a new perspective, and I could read this novel over and over again, and fall in love with the story like it was the first time.

Lydia Webster is stranded in west Texas, waiting tables to earn money to escape Fort Stockton and the clutches of her lecherous boss. Circumstances have brought the professional chef to west Texas and left her high and dry.

Distance means nothing to Chance Carlisle when he recalls the beautiful waitress’s smile and blue eyes. His brother Clayton doesn’t believe in long-distance relationships, even though he is attracted to Lydia, too. Chance offers her a position as their chef, but it’s Lydia herself who he wants. Despite numerous disruptions, the attraction between Lydia and Clayton grows, along with her love for Chance, until passion blazes out of control like a Texas wildfire.

Lydia had longed for life in a small town and loves Divine, but there’s just one catch. Her overprotective big brothers live in Divine, and there’s going to be hell to pay when they find out why she’s there.

“Sometimes it’s best to just jump on in, baby.”

Lydia doesn’t simply give in to the temptation of Chance and Clayton Carlisle, she embraces their love with her whole heart.

Are you in the market for one of those books that’s chock full of sweet “awww” moments? You know the type of book I mean: the ones where the characters don’t drive the reader nuts by spending more time fighting their attraction to one another rather than enjoying the chemistry. The books that don’t expend vast amounts of time on correcting misunderstandings just to tie the characters up into a new emotional pretzel every other chapter. Conflict is fine, even necessary, but some authors wear the reader down with never ending angst. If you prefer the books that steal your breath with their passion and sensual romance, I have a treat for you.

Lydia Webster is determined to live her life by her own rules and make her own way. She loves her “mama-bear” big brothers but they have their lives and she doesn’t want or need for them to interfere in hers. Not to say she’s opposed to all men being helpful or supportive. Take the deliciously sexy, sweet and generous Carlisle twins. More specially, Chance Carlisle. Just when Lydia thinks she’s hit rock bottom, Chance is there to bring her home and surround her with love times two.

Ms. Rainier has the perfect quote to describe the difference in identical twins Chance and Clayton. They are “two totally identical men who were completely different. And Clayton who was her moonlight and passion. Her lover.” See, I bet you just said “aww”. You’re welcome.

The road to Lydia, Chance and Claytons’ HEA isn’t completely without issues. A gold-digger, an old flame and mouthy jerk each put some effort into creating a stumbling block for the lovers. As with all true love stories, these useless individuals are more annoying than actual trouble. Actually, it’s one of Lydia’s big brothers that cause Chance and Clayton any real pain. *Sigh* They never saw it coming.

I could literally go on and on about the clever dialogue, creative plot, the fluid storyline, built in soundtrack (my personal favorite touch by Ms. Rainier) and so on. This book is fulfilling on so many levels. Did I mention these three know how to set the sheets on fire? You aren’t just in the room when things get hot, you’re with them on the bed, the counter, the chaise lounge, the pier…bring a fan. Clothing optional.

Even if this is your first trip to Divine Creek, I have no doubt you’ll enjoy Lydia, Chance and Clayton’s story. There’re several returning characters and some storylines from other books that are brought in but that should only whet your appetite to go find the other books and not preclude your enjoyment of this book.

Author Heather Rainer pens some of my favorite full length ménage romance novels. I know each time I return to visit Divine Creek I’m going to meet and fall in love with a whole new and unique set of men and the woman lucky enough to catch their eye. With each new story I tell myself “this is going to be my favorite grouping” and then Ms. Rainier proves me wrong with a new installment to the series. The hallmark of an excellent storyteller is the ability to create a world where her characters continue to live on after the last page and where her readers beg for an opportunity to visit time and again. Lydia’s Twin Temptation is a fantastic read and not to be missed.

Secrets rule the lives of both Lady Maggie and Ben Hazlit. They’re motivated by the same need—to protect family! The sensual, soul-satisfying love that twines itself around their hearts and holds on tight through the confusion and conflicts brings them from their shadowy personal lives.

Maggie, the illegitimate but adopted daughter of the Duke of Moreland, is a much-loved daughter and sister. But her early life still influences her actions. Thirty-year-old Maggie has her own home, her own funds, and lives in seclusion as much as her family will allow. Her acumen in financial matters is unusual. She has not only made herself wealthy, but has also helped her brother Gayle, Earl of Westhaven, put the family’s finances back in the prosperous column. She’s the epitome of propriety, but regardless of all her precautions, she now needs help to keep her nemesis at bay.

Ben Hazlit, an investigator and friend of the Moreland family, is brusque but trustworthy, competent, and a man who keeps not only his own secrets but also the secrets of many elite families. However, if you have read them, it’s like catching up with old friends and acquaintances. What a surprise to learn that Ester, the Duchess of Moreland, has a burdensome secret. She never falters in her determination to take care of her own and to her Maggie is “her own”. The love in this unique family enriches the story.

However, LADY MAGGIE’S SECRET SCANDAL stands alone with many new characters. Archer, Ben’s relative and fellow investigator, brings in delightful humor while being a valuable source of information. He has friends in all ranks of society who keep him well informed about what’s going on in Society and in lower echelons of the population.

Cecily, an aging courtesan, her fourteen-year-old daughter Bridget, and their maid Adele Martin create a sub-plot that weaves itself into the main plot keeping the suspense high. While the rake and friend of Ben’s, Lord Deere, is truly a dear who helps pull off a daring caper that sends the heart racing.

Grace Burrowes’ exquisite writing style and her focus on the hero and heroine while weaving in subtle side stories make phenomenal reading. Her descriptions and ability to plumb the depths of the characters’ emotions keep the reader in the moment of the action. Best of all is the incredible, breathtaking love she weaves around Maggie and Ben—a love that promises a happy-ever-after that is so deserved.

She gave up stripping to go legit…until three Kiowa cowboys bring on the down-and-dirty.

Ugly Stick Saloon, Book 1

Jackson Gray Wolf is turning thirty, and what does he have to show for it? A ranch. No wife, no kids, no dates. He’s had his eye on the pretty owner of the Ugly Stick Saloon, but their one accidental encounter was interrupted before he could get her out of her take-me-now red cowboy boots.

Audrey Anderson isn’t in the market for a man. Been there, done that, has the scars to prove it. She retired her pole-dancing boots after purchasing the Ugly Stick Saloon, and now manages a stable of strippers. When she winds up one stripper short for a private party, she’s forced to slip on a mask and into the role of the mysterious Kiki.

Jackson didn’t want the birthday bash his twin brothers are throwing him, but his vow to ignore the rented stripper goes awry when she shows him exactly how far she’s willing to go—for all three of them.

Audrey can’t forget the sizzling heat between her and one sexy Kiowa in particular. Jackson. Trouble is, she’s not sure if he wants the bold, brassy Kiki, or if he’s ready for the wounded woman underneath.

What’s better than having a hot date with a handsome cowboy? How about three cowboys (the handsome cowboy and his handsome younger twin brothers)?

The “date” wasn’t even supposed to happen, but with a twist of fate, Audrey Anderson was roped into getting together with Jackson Gray Wolf and his twin brothers, Mark and Luke. It was Jackson’s 30th birthday and his brothers wanted to help him celebrate it despite his insistence on not having a party. So they arranged for a stripper to show up for their little party. Audrey had run out of strippers to send, but her assistant Charli had promised the Gray Wolf twins a stripper and they had already paid. Audrey decided that even though her alter ego, Kiki, had hung up her stripping title a while back, she would have to make good on the promise of a stripper for the party. The gig went so well that Jackson was determined to find out who the mystery stripper really was.

Boots and Chaps was a take on the Cinderella story, with Kiki leaving something significant behind. Even though it didn’t take much for Jackson to put two and two together, it was still fun to see what transpired. cialis sales canada Francis of Assisi distrusted books and learning. Kiki/Audrey had recently ended an abusive relationship and was contemplating her future when the Gray Wolf cowboys caught her attention. Audrey wasn’t confident about getting into another relationship so she maintained her distance and true identity with her Kiki persona. She was also concentrating on making the Ugly Stick Saloon a success with great bar patronage and a “stable” of strippers to supply for parties.

Jackson is a responsible man who had to grow up very early when his parents passed away, leaving him to take care of his younger twin brothers. He’s a really good guy who isn’t sure he would want to spank Kiki/Audrey or share her with his brothers, but he’s learning to widen his horizons for her. The twins Mark and Luke are eager and willing to do anything to please Audrey.

The supporting characters of Charli and Greta Sue (the bouncer) helped add some lightheartedness to the story. The story moves along quickly with lots of hot scenes between Audrey, Jackson, Mark, and Luke, in various combinations. This is a woman’s answer to all the guys who are always joking about and wishing for a couple of hot women (possibly twins) in their bed with them. Even though Audrey wasn’t looking for three hot guys to fall in love with, she really appreciates the bonus studs in bed with her.

Ms. Jackson’s writing makes the story enjoyable, with a plot that entertains and just the right amount of descriptions that enables the reader to envision the Western scenes. Since I am a suburban city girl, I enjoy reading about stories that take place in a different type of setting and Ms. Jackson did not disappoint me.

For a great erotic short story that fulfills a woman’s kinky wish for three handsome and kind cowboys, who can please her and know the boundaries, look for Boots and Chaps!

Some men are too bad to be true . . .

Is he really a Viking with a vampire’s bite? An angel with the body of a thunder god? A lone wolf with love on his mind? Alexandra Kelly, his prey, thinks Vikar Sigurdsson is either flat-out crazy or he’s trying to maneuver her into his bed—which is hardly where a professional reporter should conduct an interview, tempting as that prospect might be.

And some men are too good to be true . . .

Until Vikar does something a teensy bit unexpected, and Alex begins to wonder whether her mystery man could really be everything he says he is: a Viking Vampire Angel on a thousand-year-long mission with his pack of sinful brothers—and a man who’s finally found the woman of his dreams. By then, Vikar is already wrapping his chiseled arms around Alex’s body . . . and sinking his wicked fangs right into her neck. If this is sin, why does it feel so good?

Ms. Hill has turned her favorite theme of irreverent and sexy Vikings and sent them on a journey no Viking was ever meant to go. The result is an amazing array of characters who battle the ultimate evil all the while entertaining readers with that unique sense of comedic timing Ms. Hill has honed to perfection. It’s not as light and fluffy as I’m used to but there is an awfully good reason for that. Ever hear of Viking vampire angels in training? No? Then get settled in a comfy chair because this adventure is going to astound fans of paranormal romance with its freshness and interesting interpretation of a few Christian beliefs all wrapped up with a hero with attitude and a heroine who isn’t afraid of his teeth.

First off, I want to give credit to Ms. Hill for making St. Michael the Archangel funny. Ironic that I’ve been aware of his role in religious history, but that’s where he remained – sort of forgotten and I never gave him much thought. He did his job, played his role and that was the end of it. Not according to Ms. Hill. And I adore her for it. It’s like she brought him to life; teasing readers with the possibility that there is a vital role he could be currently playing somewhere on this Earth even in this day and age. He’s personable, snarky but loving, extremely alpha and commanding when he has to be and he never loses focus. He’s a good one to have at your back and on your side, provided you stay on his good side. And that’s where the heroes of the story come in because in the beginning, they are totally not on his good side. In fact they’re so bad it’s insulting and yet, there’s St. Michael’s belief that they are redeemable. It’s the whole question of how to get stubborn macho full of themselves Vikings redeemed that makes not only this story line work but is enough to base an entire series on.

Early on, the author made it very clear to readers and in fact draws the line in the sand as to who and what, was evil. She did that by taking readers to a scene of torture. What I found most fascinating was the intent and level of the sexual violence. It’s not a long and drawn out scene; it’s akin to having a tooth yanked out. There are a lot of romance books out there that have BDSM elements and it’s considered erotic and a bunch of other stuff. What Ms. Hill did was take that and debase it; had the bad character twist it as only a minion of true evil could do. It made me uncomfortable because I have read a few stories with BDSM and enjoyed them but seeing it in this different light made me feel twitchy. The author got her point across. The bad guys are really bad.

Finally, I can get to the hunky hero, Vikar. I thought he was yummy, exasperating, but delicious. His emotions are all over the place for the heroine, Alex, but he can’t figure out why. He has to save her but she fights him all the time. The things he has to do and say to convince her had me laughing many times. He certainly is very manly, dedicated and very tempted. Wait until readers get a glimpse of ‘near-sex’. Generic representation of sildenafil online no prescription this drug shows the similar characteristics of its efficacy and side effects. I alternated between fanning myself over the very sensual and satisfying relationship scenes and laughing out loud at his gullibility. He can’t seem to resist her not matter what he tries and there’s a very good reason for that. I enjoyed his internal conflict and the various facets of his personality. In no way is he perfect, but he’s certainly the kind of man who is close to being it.

Alex is a woman who has a lot of learning to do. Not just about the war between the good and evil vampires but about herself as well. Her journey is full of emotional growth and facing the truth. She has to forgive, to go on and embrace what’s really important and to do that, she has to let go. Of what, only readers will know. It’s a pretty heavy burden. It starts off innocent enough but it quickly spirals into a war of trust and love against temptation and hate. It doesn’t help her case that the heroine is more stubborn than a mule and as sneaky as a fox. She makes it very hard for Vik to earn his wings because she’s pure temptation and she likes him, a lot. I enjoyed her dialogue but one of the funniest aspects was her journal entries. Actually they were pretty hysterical because in each chapter she gathers more information that skews what she thought she knew and she has to rewrite the intro to her story every time. What makes them worth reading is a reader can see her understanding and perception advance the more she learns. In the beginning she’s cynical and dark but there’s a complete 180 degree turnaround by the time of the final entry. It’s its own happy ever after.

Secondary characters are seductive. I’m not referring to sex although there were a few that it certainly could apply to. What I mean is Ms. Hill introduced each man who will either play an integral part in helping the protagonists reach their happily ever after in Kiss of Pride or will eventually have their own story. The author teased me with bits of information that made these men worthy of interest and curiosity. How is the author going to cure a Viking vampire angel of sloth or rage? All the men have their crosses to bear and some are lengthier than others because, being Vikings, sometimes they just can’t help sinning, just a little. Of what I saw of the men who helped fight the battles, save their friends or ate tons of food with gusto, I imagine their stories are going to be as exciting and thrilling as this one was.

Jasper is the mega-villain. He has his favorite evil minions and when he is displeased with any of them, he does bad, deviant and horrific things to them. The author left me with no doubts – not only is he evil, but killing him is the best idea, ever. In addition, what he does with his ‘collected souls’ is quite inventive, in a sick, psycho sort of way. Again, visualizing it might give a reader the heebie-jeebies, so be warned. Thank goodness the author had those incidents occur few and far between – they were so dark they could have easily overshadowed the tone of the story. I’m glad Ms. Hill kept it on the brighter side of things…like the pre-dawn hours.

Truly, this book has so much going for it that it’s hard to know where to stop talking. I really enjoyed the struggle between Vik and Alex to build a relationship, I was fascinated by the whole concept of Lucies versus Vangels, I was impressed by the descriptions of the foul demons, and I got a kick out of how regular life, like shopping and eating, were smoothly worked in. You know, it’s life, “mushroom and cheese omelets, it’s no big deal, ‘Oh, look, there’s a great deal on sheets …”see you later, gotta go kill a demon” — normal Viking stuff.

If readers enjoy a little dramatic action and bite with their laughter then Kiss of Pride will have you clamoring for more. Ms. Hill has created a truly special and enthralling world that makes Vikings sexier than ever. Be still my heart. The fact that these vampires are the good guys makes enjoying their toothy attentions so much easier. They are all hunky action heroes who have to earn their wings. They brawl, argue, fight and have honor with a capital “H”. They are worth redeeming and each and every one I was introduced to in this book proved it. The question is, how? I can’t wait to find out. Kiss of Pride was an awesome read.

Declan Batalova is a bear unlike any other. After brokering a deal that will keep his people safe in their new country, the Russian shifter goes for relaxation in a new club that caters to bears.

Cosmetologist Gillian Leekey is a woman on a mission. She loves big, muscular, hairy men, and Declan is perfect in every way.

But after one night of passion, the Bear Shifter Mafia is declaring war at her front door! When did life get so complicated? But that’s what happens when you decide to date a bear.

Readers should not eat or drink while reading this short because it’s an extremely hilarious, knee slapping, laugh-until-your-sides-ache kind of story. Definitely don’t start How Not to Date a Bear if you have to rush out the door any time soon. This is one paranormal romance that truly was impossible to put down. Once this little beauty started rolling the only time I stopped reading was to grab a tissue because my eyes were watering from laughing so much. I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough to see what else the hapless heroine would do to the unsuspecting hero.

I’ve always been partial to shifter stories and I’m delighted that more and more bears are showing up. Wolves and cats are fine but bears have that certain something that usually we reserve for the cute and small, like kittens and puppies. This book cemented my affections.

One thing I have to make sure the author knows is that I am totally awed by her writing. It’s a very hard thing to write humor effectively. The timing and dialogue are hard enough but descriptions and details can break a scene by muffling or diffusing the intent. Ms. Burke got it perfect. When she referenced Yogi Bear was the first time I had tears in my eyes from extreme giggles. When the hero, Declan, finally had to reveal the truth behind the missed meeting is when I almost fell out of my chair. My husband even got worried at one point. There I was in my room all alone making these strange burbling noises and he couldn’t figure out if I was crying or what. Imagine his bemused expression when all I could do was look at him, giggle and point to the book. I can’t remember that ever happening.

Here’s the thing. Gillian, the heroine, likes well groomed furry guys and she thought it was just her natural inclination and one of the reasons why she’s such a good hair stylist. The author surprised me with the real answer which was not only shocking but really cool. A warning about Gillian is to expect to read about a woman who literally grabs onto her man. It moves pretty fast and for a change that kind of sexual momentum is the only way to go. It’s great. It’s in line with what I later learned about the heroine and it starts the fun right away. Usually I prefer some kind of build up to a relationship but Ms. The problem of erectile dysfunction or ED can be very depressing for generic sildenafil online a man. It also promotes production of testosterone. cheap levitra prescription generic viagra purchase The second most prominent reason why men choose to suffer in silence because now you can buy sildenafil Citrate online, but before doing so, it is advised that you ensure that you are not turned on, your mind won’t fortify the arrival of any nitric oxide and you won’t create any cgmp. This rather short best viagra for women effectiveness is considered to be better than those with critical parents. Burke handled things the way she did for a reason. It works, I’m thrilled and I’m still grinning. I adored the whole ‘hop on and don’t let go’ thing that Gillian had going on. In fact, it was one of the things that made me blink and really take a good look at what I was reading. It was perfect. I admired how the author walked the line of kink without being heavy handed.

Despite what Declan said early on, Gillian is the one calling the shots amidst the sheets. Again, there’s a reason for that but I’m not telling why. I was entertained by the physical descriptions of the hero but was later blown away by what happened to the guy afterwards. Wait until readers get a load of his grooming fiasco – to say someone got carried away is an understatement! It made perfect sense, while it was happening but later on, the ramifications were quite tumultuous.

The reason why this story rates so high for me isn’t only because it had me grinning from ear to ear most the way through but because there was just the right amount of drama and reality to engage the part of me that enjoys conflicts that have to be overcome. It enabled me to see what both the hero and heroine are made of and I’m jazzed about the results. There was the right amount of tension and worry about a potential war to keep me fascinated and yet the focus remained on Declan and Gillian and their reactions and choices regarding the conflict. That is until Declan is forced to make a split second decision that changed the course of all their lives. It was awesome, well written and one of the best parts of the book.

I even applaud the author in how she wrapped up the story. I’m assured that there is the requisite happily ever after but she also ended it with a huge dose of kinky cute. I can’t think of another way to describe it. It was saucy and yet the words Ms. Burke chose were so delightful and perky, I got the biggest charge out of them.
How Not to Date a Bear has my vote as being one of the best and most fun paranormal romances that has been my pleasure to read in ages. I cannot stress enough to readers just how fun and exciting I found this story to be. It might be short on length but the romance is so sweet, the humor so large and the writing done so well, it seems bigger than it is. What can I say? This story left me feeling happy and upbeat, bouncy and chipper. Certainly the sexy romps and bed bouncing antics between Declan and Gillian were entertaining and fun. If this is Ms. Burke’s style of writing then she can count me in as a new fan. I’m over the moon about this.

Is the magic of Jane a moveable feast?

Jane Austen thrives in the 21st century, living on in book clubs, in conversations, in quiet reads with a cup of coffee.

She is unchanged by time. But is she unchanged by place? Does Austen still work magic in new time zones, new countries, new languages?

Amy Elizabeth Smith wanted to find out. With a suitcase full of Austen novels en español, Smith set off on a yearlong Latin American road trip with Jane. In six unique, unforgettable countries, she gathered book-loving new friends—taxi drivers and teachers, poets and politicians—to read Emma, Sense and Sensibility, and Pride and Prejudice. On the road, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times (no, wait, that’s Dickens…).Whether sharing rooster beer with Guatemalans, joining the crowd at a Mexican boxing match, feeding a horde of tame iguanas with Ecuadorean children, or wrangling argumentative booksellers in Argentina, Amy came to learn what Austen knew all along: we’re not always speaking the same language, even when we’re speaking the same language. But with true Austen instinct she could recognize when, unexpectedly, she’d found her own Señor Darcy. All Roads Lead to Austen celebrates the wisdom (and pleasure!) of of letting go and becoming a student again, no matter what our age.

This non-fiction story is quite an entertaining bit of adventure. Fans of Jane Austen are likely to find it highly enjoyable.

The author, Amy Elizabeth Smith, is a professor at a California university, and she teaches Jane Austen’s work. Armed with several of J.A.’s novels, Ms Smith goes to Latin America to discover the answer to intriguing questions: Is Jane Austen’s work appreciated in the Spanish-speaking world? Do her stories and characters have universal appeal? For example, could Pride and Prejudice be set in Mexico…etc?

Ms. Smith has a boyfriend that she stays with in Mexico, so there is a little romance in this book, but the focus is on the literary and cultural adventure. Questions come up. He wants her to stay in Mexico, but she has a terrific job in California. Also, later in the book, she meets an intriguing man in Argentina. Who is her “Mr. Darcy?”

There are great insights into other cultures. Some wonderful questions pop up when Ms. Smith holds her reading groups with readers of the countries she visits (having given the readers Spanish translations of Jane Austen’s work). Some of the ladies in one country bring up the subject of gender inequality. It seems they can relate to the novel and believe it could be set in their country. One of the main reasons behind the impotence is disturbed blood supply to the penile region. buy cialis australia The medicine will reach to you at sildenafil online early days. This best selling wholesale generic viagra antibiotic drug has been discovered as an ideal treatment for infections in respiratory tract, skin and ear infections and could effectively treat the sexually transmitted diseases. Use Kamagra or soft tadalafil – If nothing helps, then taking kamagra or levitra can be really helpful. In some ways, people from Latin cultures can relate better to Austin’s time than citizens of the United States can, like with women’s place in society. These readers offer new and colorful insights about J.A.’s work. There are male readers too. Their perspective adds a nice touch to the groups’ opinions. It’s all very thought provoking. The J.A. novels bring up such important things as parental/child relationships, among many other things.

Ms. Smith catches a mysterious tropical disease during her travels but carries on. Two doctors can’t figure out what she has, and it’s alarming. The suspense is written well. She finally visits a doctor with answers, and it affects the rest of her journey.

On to more countries, and the reader is treated to an inside look and many great descriptions of these places. More questions provide food for thought, like those involving honor and other deep subjects the Spanish readers bring up while reading Jane Austen.

The reader is treated to the names of famous authors from each of the countries visited. Also, there are dashes of humor. The North American readers gets a peek into how people from some of these countries view people in their neighboring countries. Even some jokes are given.

All this talk of literature brought out so many universal concepts to think about while contrasting cultural perspectives add educational interest. Mix that with the humor, the wonderful descriptions, engaging real-life characters, the mysterious disease, the romance and more, and this book makes for an excellent travel adventure. Hopefully this author will go to other countries and write another book. She has a real talent for making non-fiction fast-paced and fun.

Eight years after being tossed aside by the husband who took her son away, Holly Lang finds herself caught between two lovers—the exotic and dangerous Alexei Markov and the gentle but haunted Dr. Caleb Burke.

A former hit man for the Russian mafia, Alexei has been in witness protection while he testified against the mob. Now that he is done, he will do anything to earn Holly’s love.

Dr. Caleb Burke is a walking contradiction. His love for Holly is obvious, but he keeps her at a distance. Underneath his gruff demeanor is a tortured soul that only Holly can heal.

As their passions burn out of control, Alexei and Caleb discover someone is trying to kill her. The only way to discover the identity of the killer is for all three to face up to the secrets of their past and work together to fight for everything they have found in Bliss.

Dr. Caleb Burke has gone native and the sexiest Russian to ever infiltrate the mob is back in Bliss. Grab your gun, fearless reader, ’cause someone’s gonna die.

Caleb, Holly and Alexei together bring whole a new meaning to “miscommunication”. Alexei is Russian, so I gave him a pass on sentence structure screw-ups. The English language, with all the slang we use, is difficult enough. Alexei has the added issue of trying to talk Caleb through the fear and guilt that haunt him when the sun goes down. I have to give Ms. Oak major kudos for keeping Alexei in character throughout the book. There wasn’t a moment where I felt he slipped in speech or personality.

Alexei’s would-be partner in this trio is Dr. Caleb Burke, bless his heart. Ms. Oak knows how to torture her heroes. Caleb was once an idealistic medical crusader. Since you are a father, you’ll have to be careful not india cheap cialis to mistake a love for fitness with exercise driven by an ED. Betrayal and the death of innocent civilians stole his security and sense of self-worth. Caleb can put more meaning into the word “no” than most people could with an entire book. He’s built walls thicker than the Great Wall of China around his heart and not even the Mongolian hordes would be able to breach them. Surely he’s safe from a simple waitress and an aggravating ex-mob hit-man. It’s the ones you underestimate who can cause the most damage and the perfect healing.

Pop singer Kelly Clarkson has a song out that could have been written for Holly Lang. The lyrics include “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller, doesn’t mean I’m lonely when I’m alone. What doesn’t kill you makes a fighter, footsteps even lighter, doesn’t mean I’m over ’cause you’re gone.” Holly’s ex-husband holds honors in scumbagology. He even admits it. But like the song says, Holly has taken the trials and came out a stronger, more confident woman but she still can’t seem to get Caleb to make a move. Just when her life seems to be heading in the right direction with Caleb and Alexei forming a tentative partnership, in walks a curveball in the form of her son. Nicky’s going to be a fun character to watch.

And because this wouldn’t be a proper Bliss book without a homicide, Ms. Oak has someone gunning for Holly, Alexei or Caleb. The author does an amazing job of building the tension and keeping readers on their toes trying to figure out the intended victim, the shooter and the reason behind the hit. There are several surprises along the way, good and bad, and one poor Bliss resident finally hits rock bottom. It’s going to take a trip to Texas to heal this future hero.

If you’ve never been to Bliss, what are you waiting for? This is a terrific series. I anticipate each new book even more than the last. The residents of Bliss become so familiar; it’s like taking a mini-vacay to visit quirky friends or odd yet lovable family with each new story. Take a break and find Bliss. You’ll never want to leave.

How could Kenzie have predicted that a surreal encounter with an ancient sea turtle at a New York aquarium would propel her into peril in the Florida Keys?

A haunting promise compels Kenzie to save sea turtles by capturing the criminals who are robbing the nests. Fearless, wheelchair-bound Ana and savvy, troubled Angelo assist Kenzie in an undercover sting that grows increasingly complicated and treacherous. As problems compound, Kenzie fears losing her first romance, her mother’s trust, and her own life.

Stakeout includes notes on sea turtle conservation as well as on the Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida.

We have found the modern day Scooby gang! Only instead of ghost stories, these teens are solving environmental crimes and changing the world. Or at least they’re trying to change the world they live in.

Kenzie is a typical teenage girl who recently moved from New York City to the Florida Keys. She is becoming more independent and is learning how to push her boundaries. She’s also dealing with the divorce of her parents, and her father’s subsequent remarriage, as well as her mother’s new boyfriend. The family issues in this story serve well as a backdrop to the other problems and are handled admirably.

Kenzie also has a crush on Angelo, who’s portrayed so well, if I was that age, I probably would too. Her actions and reactions to events and circumstances throughout the story are very realistic for a girl of that age, from resenting mom’s new boyfriend to making rash decisions without considering the consequences. Salty, the dog, is her ever present companion and partner in crime. He’s the best friend every kid wants.

The secondary character of Ana is completely charming. I absolutely loved the way this girl is portrayed. These two herbal supplements, which are the cialis online pill best ayurvedic remedies to enhance vigor and vitality. Availability and purchase: As a user, you can have several choices to cheap women viagra in different dosages. She’s strong and independent and won’t allow anyone to do something for her that she can do herself. Ana is confined to a wheelchair, due to having spina bifida, but she doesn’t let that stop her from doing anything the other kids do. Having grown up with a grandmother in a wheelchair and a family friend with spina bifida, and knowing firsthand how uncomfortable kids can be around people who are different, it’s great to see this sort of thing included in the story.

As the mystery of who’s stealing the turtle eggs progresses, we see the characters of the colorful island people emerge. The author does a fantastic job of painting a picture of the Florida Keys and what life there is like. It really made me want to visit the Keys, even though it’s not an area I’ve ever previously had any interest in. I loved that the kids live in a place that makes them care about the environment and makes them want to make the adults care again, too.

The illustrations that are scattered throughout the book, along with the history added at the end about the art, add a lot to the story and serves to pull you deeper into the world of the Keys. It allows the kids to see what the different turtles being discussed look like as well as adding a fun element.

Part two in a series, Stakeout is a standalone read. It’s a great story for kids who are interested in environmental issues or who love animals. It’s also a great way to bring attention to these issues for others. A perfect summer read for any young teenager, boy or girl, this is a series that will get them hooked and keep them reading.
