He comes to her in dreams, when she is most vulnerable to his stirring touches and burning kisses. He drinks her blood and binds her to him in ways no mortal lover ever could…but Morrigan doesn’t want to believe that her water-dwelling blood drinker is anything more than a figment of her deprived imagination. Morrigan wants to be free of her addiction to the highly sexual creature she knows only as Az. But Az has other plans…and soon he hopes Morrigan will be too deeply under his spell to care that he wants to take her back to his homeworld…to be his mate for all eternity.

If a reader is looking for a different romance concept then this book is it, and it may also explain about the Loch Ness Monster.

Not that this book is about Nessie – it’s not. But the revelation about what goes on with some of the lochs in Scotland surely got me to thinking it’d be a cool explanation for its sightings. As it is, Scottish waterways are a key ingredient to understanding how this romance comes to be.

Morrigan is afraid that fame and the highlife are finally getting to her. She’s hearing things, seeing things in her dreams and she’s finding them way too real for her liking. She’s scared but determined to face it in her own way. She’s stubborn and courageous because she tries to confront it instead of running away. But the truth is so wild she runs anyway. I think her reaction is realistic. It’s a wild concept that stretches a person’s belief systems. She tries to rationalize it away but the physical proof is too obvious to discount. The conflict is mostly her learning to trust that what she knows of her reality is not the only truth. She’s a person of imagination and she’s gifted but it halts her growth because I think she believes that her current fantasy is a form of sickness – an overactive imagination if you will. A reader watches as Morrigan slowly comes to the realization that it is as it appears and there is nothing to fear except change. And we humans certainly don’t like change especially when we feel like we have no control over it. I think that’s one of her biggest stumbling blocks. It certainly would be mine. No one likes to feel helpless and that’s a huge hurdle.

Az is a bit of a steamroller. He knows who he wants and he’s doing everything he can to get her. His problem is that he’s restricted on how much and how long he can woo Morrigan. He’s lonely and lovesick and really wants to show Morrigan that she can trust him. He is extremely gifted in the sexual gratification department and those scenes more than satisfy any erotic romance reader’s wish. They are hot, well written and quite seductive. Thus, sexual problems are best treated at the earliest turns into an urgent situation. why not try these out best price on levitra Too bad Morrigan is so skittish. I guess I’d be too all things considered. But Az sure puts his all into finding ways to get her to accept his suit. He has a secret that I never expected and I was pretty happy with his disclosure of who he was. I loved Ms. King’s descriptions of him. He sounded absolutely yummy and quite unique.

Most of this story is told via Morrigan’s POV but there are a few hops into Az’s POV. I liked the dialogue, for the most part, but his calling her ‘babe’ sort of didn’t ring true once I knew who he was. It’s not that big of a deal, but it did jolt me. I found the ending to be too short a wrap up. I guess I expected more of a flourish than it had. There is no doubt as to the happily ever after but I would have liked a short exploration of the sensations leading to their final ‘trip’. The concept was fascinating and totally hooked me and I wanted to experience it myself through Morrigan. Alas, that’s not what the author decided. I guess I’m nosy. The external conflict was foreshadowed in a scene and I knew it would come to haunt the heroine and I was right. It was interesting and the author did a great job of showing readers why the bad guy ended up the way he did. I guess no matter where you move to there will always be jerks.

Icarus is a really wonderful little erotic romance with a twist, a surprise and a lot of very hot loving utilizing some very romantic places. I actually liked Az, understood Morrigan’s trepidation in the beginning, which made her capitulation into love all the sweeter, and enjoyed the light drama because it spiced things up a bit to showcase Morrigan’s inner strength and fortitude. And she’s got attitude in spades when it comes to defending her man. That was pretty cool. I was entertained while reading this book and it kept my interest throughout. I’m glad I read this story because of its unique and titillating concept. It’s not your typical romance and for that it gets a recommend from me. I like the unusual and I love the description of Az’s eyes. It’s details like that which make this book special and worth reading.

When Bethany — self-proclaimed geek girl — makes the varsity cheerleading squad, she realizes that there’s one thing worse than blending in with the lockers: getting noticed. She always felt comfortable as part of the nerd herd, but being a member of the most scrutinized group in her school is weighing her down like a ton of textbooks. Even her Varsity Cheerleading Guide can’t answer the really tough questions, like: How do you maintain some semblance of dignity while wearing an insanely short skirt? What do you do when the head cheerleader spills her beer on you at your first in-crowd party? And how do you know if your crush likes you for your mind…or your pom-poms?

One thing’s for sure: It’s going to take more than brains for this girl genius to cheer her way to the top of the pyramid.

I thoroughly enjoyed this modern, teenage take on Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this novel, as I haven’t read a Young Adult novel in quite some time. I did however get snagged by the title. The rest of the book kept my attention from the first chapter to the end.

Bethany is… well she’s a geek! And she’s proud of it, which I loved about her. So often we hear about young women who just want to be someone else. Bethany was perfectly happy in her geekdom… well, except for having to run The Gauntlet. Nope, not gonna tell you, you’ll have to read to find out what I’m talking about. When Bethany’s best friend Moni, a fellow geek, convinces her that the two of them should try out for the Varsity Cheerleading Squad she is willing to go along for the ride, all in the name of supporting her best friend. Thinking that they’ll be denied a spot on the squad she is a bit stunned when they both make the squad. What follows is a rather funny, and emotional journey into another world… at least for her.

Bethany was a rather interesting girl, who didn’t always understand what was going on around her. While perceptive to a point, she was a bit unsure of how to deal with changes in the familiar as well as behaviors of her friends. Let’s face it, that’s not something we magically grow out of, at least this young woman is smart enough to admit to herself when she has no idea what is going on. I felt for Bethany as she navigated a completely alien territory with quite a few stumbles, and even some bruises, but she came out on the other side a better person, and amazingly a pretty good cheerleader.

Jack is the star of the high school basketball team and he has a reputation… for never dating. It didn’t matter what “type” of girl she was, he doesn’t date her. My feeling was that he wanted to be with someone who could be themselves and who he could be himself with. He just hadn’t found that person, so he waited and just didn’t date. He seemed like a sweet enough kid in my opinion and we are eventually given a lot of backstory as to what has happened in his life to mould him into the person he was. I saw hidden depths in him, and it’s not always easy to find depth in a teenaged boy.

This book deals with some issues that are unfortunately things young people have to deal with. When does the desire to be cool and one of the in-crowd lead to completely undesirable situations? What can one person do to change things and take a stand? Sadly, these things do happen in your average everyday high school. Some issues brought up were peer pressure–to laugh and make fun of others in lesser circumstances, but the hot one was underage drinking. I will make it known right now that I was pretty proud of the way Bethany handled it. Other than that issue, which greatly added to the story, I can’t think of anything that would give others pause.

This dynamic duo of authors display a dry humor that had me snorting out a laugh on more than one occasion. Each internal monologue was thoroughly believable, and I could see myself (at that age at least) thinking the same thoughts, or saying those same things. I liked that Bethany was a relatively responsible young woman. I know that it can be hard to step forward and say something, even when you know that it probably won’t change anything.

Again, let me say, that I loved this book. I would recommend it to any youth and parent (and I already have recommended it because I enjoyed it so much) in the market for humor, a sweet bit of romantic courting and the desire to revisit that world again. Aside from a minor slip, these two main characters had me laughing out loud one more than one occasion. A great read, and I highly recommend it.

Maybe it was kismet that brought Sunny Maitland to Ryan Chance’s doorstep that day. Maybe it was just dumb luck. Sunny had avoided the house and the man for months for fear of falling in love with the one person who was off limits.

Wounded in body and soul, Ryan Chance is surprised when his former masseuse saunters back into his life as if she’d never left. She’d been his savior and confidant when his life was in pieces and then she was gone with no explanation.

Bound by a secret mutual desire, Sunny and Ryan waste no time getting to know each other again, and again, and again one hot, steamy, Southern night.

She wants him with every fiber of her soul, but he’s off limits. He wants her, but she’s not exactly banging down his door to see him. Sounds like a conundrum. It is. But things are looking up because it’s Sunny With a Chance.

This story intrigued me. What was the big thing keeping Sunny from her man? And what was so impossible about her that Ryan didn’t make a move? All those questions and more are answered in this story, and it’s one hot read.

Ms. Colbert’s story has plot twists I didn’t see coming. Its not a simple story and nothing like I expected. From page one, I was struck and had to see how the plot would work itself out. I wasn’t let down.

Sunny took some time to grow on me. For elderly men, taking healthy diet is something to cialis samples resolve every Impotence problem among males. What I didn’t like was her wishy washy tendencies. She wanted him, but she wanted to run. She made love to him, but she wanted to high-tail it out of his house. Things seemed to happen fast and when her past is revealed, yes it makes sense as to why she is the way she is, but I wanted to see her show a bit more chutzpah. Take what she wanted.

I have to admit, Ryan was my favorite character from the word go. He’s been through a heck of a time, but he never loses his smile or his spirit. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s darned sexy. When he romances Sunny, its great to see. And the scene with the apple corer… it’s not typical, but that makes it interesting.

If you want a sexy read with characters you won’t forget, then you need to read Sunny With a Chance. I give this story 3.5 cherries.

Ethan Yeager’s life is perfect—except for the complications. He often has psychic dreams, warnings about the future, but whenever he tries to use his gifts to help others, no one will listen. Glen Chase is a man who can trust no one with his secret. Only when he falls in love with Ethan does he feel safe enough to reveal it: he can shapeshift to the form of a powerful were-panther. Each soon realizes that he has found a trusted friend as well as the man of his dreams.

Now Ethan has the most frightening vision of all, and people will die unless he acts quickly. The sense of danger is there, but the solution is not. When the mysterious Lila appears, offering her help and arcane knowledge, Ethan is relieved to accept. But he isn’t ready for the changes that take place in himself or the attraction he feels for the beautiful witch, especially when he learns that her healing ritual will draw its strength from Lila having sex with him… and Glen. Even in Ethan’s life, this may be one complication too many.

When Ethan’s psychic ability has the chance to stop a demon, he must do whatever it takes even if it includes adding a third to his relationship. Ethan and Glen are happy together in their isolated house outside of Denver. Glen has enough room to run when he shape changes to a panther and Ethan just wants to make Glen happy. His own psychic ability is a minor blip on his radar. But when a beautiful and mysterious woman appears saying that she needs Glen and Ethan’s help to stop an interdimensional portal, the men reluctantly agree. Delta is a paranormal ménage with some interesting elements. The story starts with some background on established couple Glen and Ethan, living happily together. Although both men are bisexual, they’re not looking for anything more in their relationship and are deeply in love. The fact that Ethan is psychic and Glen is a shapeshifter just adds a little spice to their lives. This detail is interesting and creates a good picture of a happy couple that deal with the little quirks of their lives.

Once they meet Lila the rest of the story feels like it’s just working its way to the climax scene. This made me impatient as a reader since all the lead up feels superfluous and merely drawing out the tension. I wished all the details and information would have added to the story in some way instead of merely marking time before the paranormal showdown.

The characters are decently developed and the relationship between Glen and Ethan is particularly nice. There is a happy for now ending and was purposefully left hanging, no doubt for future sequels. There were a few problems with the sequence of events, such as after the big showdown, Glen is walking around naked and no one thinks anything of it. There are also a few other details that weren’t explained or ignored that didn’t make much sense. The paranormal aspects are well crafted and interesting, although the concepts and relationships still feel too underdeveloped in some ways.

For a m/m/f ménage paranormal novella, this is interesting and the pages go by quickly with clean, crisp prose. The erotica scenes are quick and not explicit so readers are likely to enjoy this offering more for the concepts than those looking for lots of erotica. A decent story and one that is likely to have a lot of room to grow as well.

Ian has wondered about Gomorrah, the seedy bar/sex club downtown, for years. Now that he’s single again, he decides to check it out. It can’t be that bad, can it? And surely all those rumors about vampires are bunk.

Nick’s a bouncer at Gomorrah, and when he sees Ian, he sees fresh meat. Or fresh blood, as the vampire patrons of the club will think. Trying to protect the younger man, Nick instead finds himself in a bit of a pickle involving the head of the local cadre, and the only way out is to get a lot closer to Ian than he ever intended.

Sometimes trying to find the thing you want can be the worst possible decision — when vampires are involved. But that doesn’t mean it’s all bad — in the case of Ian and Nick, it’s really good.

I like stories that take plot twists I didn’t expect. This is one of those tales. Elizabeth Jewell creates a situation where an emotionally wounded man finds not only a second chance, but the love of more than a lifetime. I felt like I was really there in the club with Ian and Nick. I only wish there’d been a bit more description. I liked Ian. He had emotional baggage and wasn’t sure if he was ready to love or be loved again. The reasons were valid and realistic which added to the story. I wanted to see him get what he deserved — someone to care about him. I could also appreciate his trepidation. He’d gotten in over his head and the reader can identify with him because who hasn’t made a decision and then realized maybe it wasn’t the right one?

Nick is a bit of an enigma. I wanted to get into his head more and find out what made him tick. Being that this story is told from Ian’s point of view, I wasn’t totally sure how attracted Nick even was to him or if it was a sense of taking care of him. But I loved how things came together at the end and I appreciated the decisions made. The story became more forceful and enjoyable.

If you want a story with a twist of kink and a whole lot of soul, then you need to read Gomorrah: Bonded. I give this story 4 cherries.

Mysteriously banished to live with demanding Aunt Augusta on Florida’s remote, untamed Merritt island of 1904, young Emma-Lee Palmer discovers a dark family secret. Befriended by a kindly sea captain, Emma-Lee and Aunt Augusta discover courage, renewed hope, and the importance of family in this transcendent story of healing and redemption through God’s unconditional love.

Inspired by a true story, The Distant Shore is a powerful blend of action, adventure, romance, and the quest within each of us to find our heart’s home. Love, after all, is never too lost or too late.

Sweet, charming, exciting, and tearful. This book has it all. This was a fantastic read that any member of the family would enjoy. My favorite part about this book was the fact that it was able to ignite every emotion and still be good, clean reading. Emma-Lee Palmer will have you melting in her hand. Right from the beginning your heart it breaking for her. Emma-Lee is being sent away to live with her Aunt Augusta on Merritt Island. The island is very isolated and you can only reach it by boat.

Emma-Lee has two brothers and two sisters, yet she is the only one who is being sent away. She is terribly saddened by this fact, and can’t help but wonder what she could have possibly done wrong. Her father and mother gave her no explanations for why she is going. Her few memories of her aunt are not fond; Aunt Augusta is not one for showing much emotion. I found myself becoming so angry for Emma-Lee, swearing to never speak to her parents again for doing such a thing. It’s amazing how the author can send you all the way back with a nine-year-old’s mindset. It wasn’t until well within the book that I started to wonder if she was sent for good reason.

Eventually, right along with Emma-Lee, you get over the hurt and start to settle in with her life at Merritt Island. Aunt Augusta is the school teacher on the island. Throughout the book you start to see different sides to Aunt Augusta and begin to understand her a little bit more. Much like Emma-Lee you fall right in love with her. Emma-Lee was so excited to make friends, and was a little caught off guard by how difficult that turned out to be. However, she did becomes friends with quite a few people. Her first day off the train she met a gentleman by the name of Captain Stone, who treated her like his very own daughter. She also became quite close with his parents, who introduced her to Christ.

Pa and Ma Stone were wonderful people, the type everyone wants as grandparents. With the properties like those of pills, the polo ring type, buy viagra online http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/spider/ the jelly type etc. The good news is that this particular disorder can be cheapest cialis uk http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/may-giant-rabbit-rabbit/ cured but involves an after effect if not cured on immediate basis. Men bearing this thwarting situation must stay away from too much self-stimulation and follow the healthy lifestyle to stay female viagra sildenafil fit and healthy always. Approximatley, third part of the ED patients prefers to buy kamagra oral jelly online from an online pharmacy which sales such medicines that are approved by FDA and also has this anti impotence drug in the form of 25mg, 50mg discover that levitra in india and 100mg blue pills. Pa Stone used to be a pirate, until he met Christ and changed his ways. But he still had many stories that Emma-Lee just loved listening to. I found myself becoming quite fascinated with his different tales. She started spending so much time with Captain Stone, that even he and her aunt became rather close. Emma-Lee enjoyed seeing the love develop between them, and it was a wonderful way to draw her mind away from missing her family.

Emma-Lee became great friends with a girl everyone called Punkin. Punkin had a bit more sass in her than Emma-Lee, and took this opportunity to show her all the adventures and mischief one could get into on the small island. There was one particular adventure that will have you biting your nails, hoping everything will turn out right. Punkin is the kind of girl, everyone needs as a friend. She is quick to defend anyone she loves. Emma-Lee wished many times she had as much courage as Punkin, but she never realized until the end, just how courageous she actually was. For a nine year old this girl was braver than most men I know. She is one amazing character to overcome so many trials and tribulations at such a young age. As you will soon learn, there is not much this girl can’t handle.

There were so many moments in this book that I was laughing out loud, and crying my eyes out. You will honestly experience, every emotion there is. Which all the more makes this author a fantastic writer. You will completely forget about everything going on in your life, because you will be so involved in Emma-Lee’s. It seems like there is one tragedy after another happening to Emma-Lee, yet many wonderful things happen to her as well. You wouldn’t be able to put this book down for a second even if you wanted too. There are too many exciting moments that you have to keep reading till it’s over.

If you are looking for an entertaining and wholesome book this is the one. It is sure to keep your interest, never wanting it to end. This is by far one of the best books I have ever read. I insist you go out and buy this book this very second, because I can guarantee you will feel exactly as I do.

I Always Listen to the Voices in My Head

By

A funny thing happened to me a few years before I began writing in earnest. I was given a reading by a psychic who was totally mystified by the large number of “incorporeal beings” he sensed hanging around me. He finally concluded that these were souls with whom I’d made pre-incarnation agreements. According to him, they’d all agreed to hover in the ether (or whatever it is that incorporeal beings do in between lives) and assist me when needed. In exchange, I’d apparently agreed to provide vehicles for them to incarnate into the physical plane.

In other words, or so I was told, I’d agreed to become their Mommy, which was something I really wasn’t feeling, if you know what I mean. I already had two children at that point–two children who were rapidly approaching adolescence, to be exact–and my husband and I had no plans to our family. So I had to ask, “How many of these beings are there, exactly?”

To which psychic boy responded, “I don’t have an exact number, but there are a lot of them. Dozens, in fact.”

Dozens? Of children? Oh, yeah…really not feeling it.

Anyway, this bothered me a lot. I hated the idea that I was the kind of person who would be so frivolous or thoughtless or–let’s face it–deceptive enough to enter into lifelong, apparently binding agreements with other beings. Dozens of them, yet! The idea that I would take their aid while completely failing to live up to my side of our bargain did not sit well with me at all.

Luckily for all concerned, it wasn’t long before I figured out what all those beings were really doing hanging around my head. Turns out they weren’t looking for me to give birth to them in the conventional sense at all. The “vehicles” they had in mind were books.

He was right about one thing though. I have dozens of characters populating my brain and it’s a real relief every time I get another story told. It gives the rest of us a little more breathing space, so to speak. As a reader, having characters come to life has always been the most magical part of fiction to me. As a writer…well, let’s just say it’s a little less magical when said characters are attempting to take over and wrecking your carefully constructed plot! Even so, I have to confess it’s still pretty cool. What’s even better is when I hear from readers or reviewers that my characters have come alive for them, as well.

There’s been a lot of talk lately about whether or not books are like babies to their authors and I’m happy to report that–for me, personally, anyway–it’s really not the same. I’d say books are more like foreign exchange students. They come and live with you for awhile, you work hard at interpreting them, maybe you even take them into your heart. But, however you feel about them, you always know that eventually you’ll have to let them go.

So you wish them well. You miss them when they’re gone. You really enjoy visiting with them from time to time. But they have to make their own way in the world and that’s just as it should be.

Kenzie Williams feels like she has it all; wealth, friends, popularity and talent. But when her father tells her that he has declared bankruptcy, her whole world in New York City turns upside down. Her parents’ solution while they sort through their financial and marital problems is to send Kenzie to live with her relatives in Paris . . . Idaho!
Feeling like she’s been sentenced to three months in Hickville Prison, Kenzie arrives in Idaho feeling like a square peg, with name brand clothes, in a round, horribly podunk, hole.

Leaving everything she loves behind, Kenzie is forced to get up at the crack of dawn, do chores, and hang out with her cousin’s loser friends. She feels like she’s about to die until she meets Adam White, the town outcast, whose been accused of killing his best friend and is being blamed for some trouble that’s been happening around town.

Not only is Adam the best-looking guy she’s ever seen, but he’s also the most fascinating guy she’s ever met and Kenzie is determined to get to know him and find out his secret. But, the longer she stays in Paris, the more she realizes, Adam isn’t the only one keeping secrets.

When fifteen year old Kenzie learns she is being sent to Paris, Idaho she is devastated. Her life is in New York, not in the countryside with nothing to do, no sights to see, and no ballet studios in sight. Even worse, her parents are being forced to claim bankruptcy, and their marriage is on the rocks. Nothing is as it should be, and her idealistic life seems to be coming to an end. Summer In Paris takes a familiar premise — girl moves to small town after family controversy against her wishes — and adds a few twists and turns. Author Michele Ashman Bell has crafted a book that teenagers will enjoy, using a combination of well developed characters, an interwoven plot with a dash of romance and suspense, and a proverbial and must-have amount of teen angst. Kenzie, for all her faults, is an average, teenage girl who is uncertain of herself but remains driven by her dreams. Her progression from a stubborn, resentful passerby to a willing participant in her future is an entertaining one to witness. I enjoyed the pace in which she begins to view her life in Paris as an adventure versus a detriment, along with the supporting cast who also break free from their shells and reveal so much more about themselves.

The writing is fantastic, as is the dialogue. Aside from a few moments at the start when Kenzie’s attitude becomes grating, I was drawn into the story and sympathized with her on many levels. Ultimately, Summer In Paris is Kenzie’s story and as with any journey, she takes on many different forms — from angry and heartbroken, to accepting and encouraging. The supporting cast is also superbly written, which gives richness to the work and allows you to experience life in Paris to the fullest extent.

I’d recommend Summer In Paris to children ages 12+, as well as to the adults who monitor their reading material. This is a very sweet story that manages to gain the interest, hold it, and maintain it throughout.

There is a lot going on in this little story. Ms. Trelawny brought out the big guns. I was captivated from page one and things didn’t let up until the last page. I wanted to see them get together for good. Although I’m not a big fan of the hero and heroine being in a relationship when the story starts, it wasn’t a hindrance in this one. I felt like I was right there with Lara and Nate throughout and wanted to know what happened after the story, I was so involved.

Nate is a great hero. He knows when to push and when to let go. My heart squeezed for him at times because I felt his hurt as deeply as if it were my own. He wanted what was best for Lara, even if it meant his destruction — how sexy!

Lara, though, caused me to pause. There were times when she came across as a bit too defeated. I totally understood why she felt as she did, but I almost wanted to see her pull herself up by her bootstraps and move on. Still, the gut-wrenching severity of her situation made me root for her to get her wish and deepest desire.

If you want a breezy read for a lazy summer afternoon, then you can’t go wrong with Hidden Treasure. I give it 4 cherries.
