Cat lived on the marina for most of her life. Her constant joy was working at the Beach Front Amusement Park. Each day, she listened to the melodious voice of Orrick O’Neal, as he sang near her booth. Orrick’s father owns the park and after a horrible divorce, Orrick is picking up his life, bits at a time. Their attraction develops when Cat finds Orrick standing idly on the pier. The divorce has taken a toll and Cat envelops him with affection. After a year of dating, Orrick can’t live without her. She’s smart, sassy, and full of life. However, life is about to change for Orrick. He’s taking a job in Malibu, and can’t bear to leave her. Orrick plans a boat ride to make Cat his bride. This story is based on the poem, The Owl and the Pussy-Cat.

This is a well orchestrated love story with a traditional flair that I greatly appreciated.

The reason that I liked it so much is because of how Ms. LaBlaque had Orrick propose and everything that led up to it. The author showed me how their relationship built, how they connected and what drew them together. There was romantic and heartfelt dialogue to back it up and a grand gesture that has the power to make a romance reader sigh with satisfaction.

The dialogue actually helped draw the line between people who are going places in spite of the odds they fought against, and those that are slackers and bums. When a reader finally meets Digger, they’ll understand. Although Cat, the heroine, had a relative that didn’t seem to think the hero was all that, the author provided opportunities for a reader to make their own judgment. I also appreciated Cat’s strength of character and her compassion.

Even though this is a short story, the best of what makes a book romantic is condensed to its vital parts. The most effective place to begin is You online viagra sales Tube. You can find a lot of different djpaulkom.tv viagra generika options that you can choose from. Kamagra prescription for cialis Jelly is a FDA approved medicine which itself states that the solution can be used without any worries. Thus, Ladygra is an indelible and infallible cialis tadalafil tablets solution to this issue. I realize that some people will think that Orrick took way too many liberties and Cat accepted them without much fuss, and they might be right. But after thinking about it, and re-reading certain parts, I think they acted true to themselves. It’s implied that they each took the time to learn about the other and it wasn’t all sex. Sure, Cat gave him some lip, but I could tell there was love behind it. Theirs is going to be a relationship where the heroine isn’t afraid to speak her piece.

The physical relationship isn’t the sole focus of this story. It’s zeroed in on Cat and Orrick, where it should be. Could there have been a bit more? Probably, but neither did I miss it. What there was of it, however, was sweet and hot.

There wasn’t a heavy conflict at all. This was definitely a character driven romance with Cat’s being the primary point of view. The editing was fine. Do I wish that Orrick wasn’t so commanding and manipulating? Yes. I do prefer a more equal footing in a relationship but something tells me that Cat will have no compunction about correcting her man’s behavior when needed. And Orrick is a smart man, he’ll catch on.

Cat’s Desire is a cute and romantic short story that connects with a reader’s feelings. The book has a way of zinging right to the heart of the matter and reaches the emotions inside, making a reader care for both Cat and Orrick. It’s was a refreshing change of pace with an interesting locale. I’m glad I read it.

After years of besting opponents in business, Jared Scott decides he wants a more powerful competitor. A creature with the strength and speed of a wolf and the cleverness of a human being fits the bill. He contracts with WishLabz to help him hunt a werewolf.

Jared’s consultant at WishLabz, a werewolf named Amanda, has a history with hunters that goes back to when some men killed her parents. She doesn’t like them, and so she doesn’t like Jared much, either. She plans a surprise for Jared — but it turns around and bites her, too.

Watch the fur fly as a lonely wolf-woman and a cynical and bored human man collide in a clash of beliefs, strong wills and misplaced revenge.

This is actually a pretty cool story. I liked the heroine Amanda’s mystical baby sitter and foster father. It was a nice touch because it imbued this tale with caring, love and tenderness. Despite her tragic start in life, she’s survived and thrived – well financially and in life skills. Her heart is a different matter. She has that walled up behind an impressive fortress and she has no intention of anyone ever making her that vulnerable again. Which a reader knows is the perfect type of person to be set up for a fall, and fall she does, much to my reading pleasure.

Jared has tackled every challenge in his life and conquered. He’s great at materialistic goals and considers himself a connoisseur of pleasing the ladies and leaving them satisfied while he continues onto the next agenda. It’s a pretty shallow life and he really didn’t realize anything was missing, nothing important anyway, until he met the heroine. I found it humorous at how he thought another orchestrated challenge could sate his restlessness. It never dawns on him that it’s his heart that has needs, not his brain.

Amanda’s objective isn’t as clear to her as it is to her pixie-cat secretary, whom I adored. What a terrific and fun secondary character. The heroine is purposely blinded to what her actions truthfully mean because it’s colored by her needs – of revenge, of not feeling helpless like she was all those years ago. A number of circumstances generic viagra no prescription involving IMPOTENCE might be a result of getting older. 2. For some reason, she fixated on Jared and I got the impression it’s because deep down, where there’s a crack in her defenses, she realizes he’s the man strong enough to save her from herself.

I admit that Amanda was a bit too blood thirsty for my personal tastes but it worked for the story. What I mean by that is that what she does to Jared she did it a little too enthusiastically and I got that impression from the author’s word choice during the scene.

One thing I guess I should mention is the parts where Jared and Amanda express furry wolf lust with gusto. If a reader isn’t comfortable with imagining haunches and paws, then they need to be aware that it’s in here. The human mind is present but it’s … distracted a bit by their powerful mating bond. The love is clear and the words are expressed so for me, I had no problems. I actually liked the fact that they both never lost sight of their feelings, no matter what form they were in.

The epilogue wrapped up everything in a passionate and optimistic tone that satisfied the romantic in me. It was sweet and true to their healed relationship. Did I mention what Jared had to do to get Amanda to open up to him? Oh, that was a good part. A reader is going to have to take a chance on reading this book to find out. It sure made me appreciate his character even more.

Bad Medicine: Moon Bitten is a nice twist on the werewolf tale with more than your average emotional hook to connect a reader to the story. I was entertained and fascinated at some of the creative and unique paths Ms. Gaines set up for her characters despite its short length. I found the tale exciting and couldn’t put it down. Now I have to wonder, just what is Gloria’s background story? I can’t think of a more distinctive secondary character that deserves her own account as this gal. How in the world did Ms. Gaines come up with her? I’m captivated.

A traveling showman meets a woman who isn’t about to lose her heart to a rambler.

A traveling showman like Caesar Hawkins isn’t about to let his own death come between him and his son Jed’s happiness. Unfortunately, the famous cure-all elixer he left behind can’t ease the incurable malady of the young man’s lonely heart. Jed needs something more potent than tonic. Something a little sweeter…

Nixie Dengler knows the toll a rambling man can take on a vulnerable woman’s heart. So what does she see in another rambler like Jed? Actually, it’s what she doesn’t see that’s drawing them together. Can a matchmaking spirit unite two earthly souls in love?

Caesar Hawkins just can’t accept the fact that he’s dead.

Although Caesar is dead, he came to life in my mind from the moment I started reading. Ms. Myers created a character so robust and interesting, that I liked Caesar immediately. He also had a great sense of humor. I smiled every time Caesar referred to his death as merely a “condition.” He also cares deeply for his son, Jed, and can’t help but interfere in his son’s affairs. As much as I liked Caesar, he wasn’t without his flaws. While he means well, some of his meddling does more harm than good. Also, while it was clear that Caesar loved Jed, he didn’t always express it as often as he should have. He also pushes Jed into the sort of life he thinks Jed should have rather than asking Jed what he really wants. As with all flaws, these made Caesar a very real and rounded character.

Jed was an easy character to like as well. He was the typical good son trying to find his own way in the world. He wants his father to be proud of him, but at the same time Jed isn’t sure he wants to sell Caesar’s Curative for a living. Jed’s struggle to balance his own wishes against the desires of his father is something that many people can relate to. I enjoyed watching Jed gradually make his own path in the world.

Nixie was the perfect heroine for Jed. She has a bit of a fiery spirit and is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. This unintended attack is named as bacterial infection that is being carried out cialis wholesale india click to read more as soon as possible. Studies have levitra generika 40mg Source shown that some natural options can increase your symptoms ED. She and Jed had excellent chemistry from the moment they met. However, Nixie isn’t ready to lose her heart. She’d been burned in love before and isn’t sure if Jed’s affections are sincere and alternately embraces and pushes Jed away. While an event in Nixie’s past makes her reticence to become romantically involved with Jed understandable, I must admit that became a little tired of her attitude toward the end of the story. Jed had been nothing but kind to Nixie and her family, and showed amazing patience in winning Nixie’s affections. He gave her space when she asked for it and was there when she needed him. Yet, Nixie deliberately misunderstood his actions and continually suspected his motivations at every turn. However, I still enjoyed Nixie as a character and was very pleased when the wall she built around herself finally began to crack.

As much as I liked the main characters, the secondary characters seemed flat in comparison. Nixie’s family had campers pay to use their land and the mineral springs in the summer, so there was an array of secondary characters involved throughout the story. However, many of them stayed in the background and never really came to life.

Also, I found the plot of the story to be predictable. As soon as certain plans were made, I knew immediately what the outcome would be because many of the secondary characters were “types” and it was easy to know what they were going to do before they did it. Even though the plot was predictable, Caesar, Jed, and Nixie were very well crafted characters and they kept me interested in the story until the end.

I must also mention one of my favorite scenes in the book. Throughout the story, Jed tries to help Nixie overcome her fear of falling in love. However, Jed is not without his own fears. He is terrified of the water. Nixie is an excellent swimmer. At the end of the story, Nixie and Jed find themselves together at the mineral springs. I won’t spill the details of their meeting, but the moment Ms. Myers creates between Jed and Nixie is quite touching.

Great Caesar’s Ghost is an enjoyable read. I recommend it to anyone looking to unwind with a light and entertaining book.

Gabriele Sloane has been picked on his entire life by the coven he grew up in. They taunted him, ridiculed him, and downright hated him. When they do the unthinkable and kick him out, Gabby is forced to find a new home. Dodging the sun and low on his diabetic supplies, he wanders aimlessly until he finds himself in the arms of one bald and sexy shifter.

Montana Graton hates vampires with a passion. His best friend was killed by one. Hungry and bored, he decides to visit the diner in town. The little redhead sitting one booth over looks good enough to roll around in the back of his truck with—until the smell hits him and he discovers the redhead is his mate.

Can Montana set aside his hatred and claim the little vamp, or will he allow his festering hate to surface and turn his back on the sexy little fireball fate has given him?

This story started off quickly, setting my emotions a blaze. I was filled with sadness for what has happened to Gabby and anger because he’s a sweet innocent soul who needs help being cared for. At a hundred years old this half vampire half human is still considered young and naive. Gabby has been forced out of the only home he has ever known with nothing more than the clothes on his back. His vampire coven has done the most unthinkable thing when they kicked him out, they did it during daylight hours. This poor character has to struggle and fight the odds until he enters Brac Village and meets his savior.

When Gabby meets Montana it’s a bit awkward. Gabby is diabetic and needs daily doses of insulin, and when he goes to administer his medicine Montana storms in and gets the wrong impression. This couple have their ups and downs from the get go but they’re also a supper sweet and fun pairing. Montana’s overbearing need to protect and care for his mate is just what Gabby needs. Gabby, on the other hand, brings the comedy into this relationship. The book was very enjoyable but I wished there were more back story on Montana. As stated in the blurb his friend was killed by a vampire but that is all that is mentioned in the actual book as well. I would have liked to have known more about the man, where he came from, what his previous pack was like? Montana is a fierce warrior and would do anything for his mate, but I would have loved for the author to have explored with this character more in depth.

As with all the Brac pack mates, Ms. Hagen writes these men in the most realistic way while still being a paranormal story. All these men are human beings with real life personal drama. Gabby is an overweight vampire with self-image issues. He also has a bad case of talking so fast he leaves everyone speechless with his ability to go without taking a breath.

Ms. Hagen is the queen of the cliff hanger, but I love it and it has me coming back every week. There are more introductions of other paranormal shifters and we finally get more back ground info on Melonee. This series just picks up more steam with each new installment. As for Montana and Gabby these characters will stay with me and keep me wondering what will happen next for this duo. Ms. Hagen is always great about giving updates about every member of this extended family and it helps keep these characters fresh in your mind.

Another good read I highly recommend.

Patience was not one of Belle Gregory’s virtues. So when she finds herself lying flat on her back in the sand with a tone male body on top of her, she curses her loss of sight. But the doctor’s say she will see again, a fact that has Adam Parker very worried. He has no choice but to live with the damage done to his face by a roadside bomb more than a year ago, but can Belle? Or will she see only the scars and not what’s in his heart?

When two people, both recovering from pretty traumatic injuries, meet up – the result is beautiful.

Belle lost her vision in a car accident. And though she’s been told it will return, she’s impatient and frustrated by the loss. Adam was horribly scarred by a roadside bomb overseas. Both have physical and psychological issues despite being pretty happy people otherwise.

I have to say that I fell for Adam right off. Despite his trauma, he was a good, pretty even-tempered guy. Of course, he’s had longer to deal with what happened to him than Belle, but his injuries are far more evident. Belle’s attitude, on the other hand, tends to fluctuate. She’s terribly self-conscious about her eyes and keeps her dark glasses on all the time, despite being told that they look perfectly normal. I loved the potential in the story, but it just screamed for more length. At one point, after our hero and heroine meet, time passes in just a few paragraphs as they get to know each other. I wanted more and nearly screamed in frustration. This story easily could have been novella length, if not longer. The author has real talent with words, and I really wish she’d explored the nuances that were clearly present in their growing relationship.

Regardless, I enjoyed reading about these two people and how they worked through their issues. They were well-suited and fit each other in so many ways. The author imbued them with realistic traits and made them characters I cared about and was invested in. I was also impressed enough with Ms. Barrett’s writing to look for other, longer pieces from her.

If you’re looking for a sweet story with truly wonderful characters who fight through their struggles and win in the end, then I recommend Through Your Eyes.

The Civil War brought casualties beyond the bloody battlefields as North fought South. Philip Burke, against his family’s wishes, volunteered to defend the Union and became a prisoner of war who bartered his medical expertise to remain out of prison. When the Union Army invaded Tennessee, Clarissa Wakefield’s antebellum mansion became a Confederate hospital. Philip was placed in charge and against propriety she volunteered to stay on and help nurse the wounded. Clarissa’s husband was a Confederate soldier and Philip’s fiancée waited for him in Oswego but the fire between them soon raged out of control. As the opposing armies fought for possession of Chattanooga, Clarissa and Philip faced their own battle. Caught in the passions of war and love, with hurt inevitable either way, would they be faithful to their vows or listen to their hearts?

This Time Forever is the most apt title; truly, throughout this wonderful Civil War Epic, your heart swells with the hope and belief that this time it is indeed true love; that this time, in spite of all that is happening in the world, love will find a way.

From the first moments, This Time Forever has a sentimental appeal that pervades and increases with the turn of every page. The characters are simply so engaging, you cannot help but hope for the best for them. Philip will soon be a surgeon, and his efforts to affect the look of sophistication contrast slightly with his more important ideals. He is a young man with concerns about becoming the man he wants to be, even who he is, is not quite who his family expects. Readers, certainly, find him admirable. He fulfills expectations, even if in a fairly unique way.

Clarissa Giles Wakefield is and is not the heroine we expect to find! On the one hand, she lives up to family expectations, on the other, she realizes something about unfairness in her own life and from that seems to recognize it in others. She’s comes with baggage…important baggage. She’s lovely and southern and so much more. From the first moment we meet her, we feel for her, and hope she becomes the firebrand she ought to be!

Family and other secondary characters (like Edward and Virginia, the brother and in-law) are well developed and interesting people in and of themselves. Steely opinions and resolve mark some, while others are open to consider differing thoughts. Many, many perspectives are offered, through the eyes of different characters. Nothing is black-and-white, and while the issues of the day have enormous impact on the storyline, the people, their beliefs and their struggles are what is important. Details leading up to the war, and some specific things, like the Underground Railway, are mentioned, as are some specific events of the war. However, this is not a dry discussion of such happenings, but presented as more of a social conundrum. The war will force some people apart – but bring others together. It is the characters opinions about these things that matter. There is the dark side of war – but also, the dark side of individuals.

Success and all its trappings is questioned, as are personal and national goals. At times you’ll be touched, at other times angry – but always, so so moved by that hope for forever.

A subtle humor–frequently based on the likable main character Philip – pervades these pages, offering just that hint of humanizing lightness, in a saga that could be dark, & set in a time when so many of us immediately imagine a dark drama. This Time Forever certainly has its serious side, and offers a wonderfully realistic view (and different views) of life, war, and responsibility, in the later nineteenth century. It is the strength of the characters however, their feelings and their perspectives; on life, their own lives, the state of the nation, that all work to bring the time period to life: not just the struggle and the war, but the people’s actual lives.

Swift’s slightly wordy style is immensely rich and readable; much is conveyed by her wonderful, evocative passages. A description can at once give you a visual and reveal something about a man (like Greek decoration symbolizing success at one home) and a moment’s reflection, exhibit the impact – and lack of – to specific people:

“Sometimes it seemed to Clarissa that the stories of fighting and deathand deprivation were make-believe and had no relation to her at all. It washard to imagine that the bandages and clothing made by their Soldiers’ AidSociety were actually needed by people suffering from the effects of thebattles that had so far left Chattanooga untouched. But she and Lydia hadsons who had never seen their fathers…”

You don’t need any special interest in the time period to enjoy This Time Forever, just a willingness to be enthralled by true love.

“I need a boyfriend.”

Hearing those words from the mouth of his very straight ex-friend is enough to make columnist and editor Nate Gray choke on his Corona. It’s been thirteen years since Kellan Brooks’s father crushed Nate’s family on his climb to wealth and power. Even longer since he entrusted Kellan with the confession that he might be gay—only to have his best friend out and humiliate him to their entire high school. The last thing Nate expects is Kellan begging for his help.

Breaking off his engagement to a senator’s daughter was the last straw for Kellan’s CEO father. Frustrated at being cut off, his father’s stinging words—that he wishes Kellan had never been born—still ringing in his ears, Kellan turns to Nate. In a move worthy of a corporate raider, Kellan plans the ultimate revenge. Come out as the boyfriend of the man his homophobic father betrayed.

Convincing Nate to play along isn’t easy. It’s even harder to figure out why the lie feels so close to the truth.

Some books are meant to be read over and over again. To be cherished like old friends. Dog-eared and loved. This is one of those books.

I know when I open a book by K.A. Mitchell, I’m going to be transported, not to a far off place filled with magical creatures and lore, but to what feels like my life. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Kellan and Nate aren’t perfect, I have to state that up front. The guys have some serious issues, but it’s in the details and how these two men deal with things that I couldn’t tear myself away from. The opening of the book is…a little tense and a little far-fetched, but don’t let that stop you from reading. It’s because the scenario between Kellan and Nate seems a bit off that it’s actually more believable. People come up with wacky ideas in the heat of the moment and Ms. Mitchell captures the feelings perfectly.

The struggle between Kellan and Nate is epic and realistic. I so wanted these two to get together and have their HEA right now. I mean, right now. Forget the drama and the craziness, but then again, there wouldn’t be a book or realism if there wasn’t some craziness. I laughed, I cried, I didn’t want to let go of either man.

Yeah, I liked it that much.

If you want a book filled with heat, heart, and drama, you need to read Bad Company, but prepare for the song to get stuck in your head. It’s a minor price to pay for a great story.

When Peter Blake takes a job working for Walker’s Wash-ups, little does he know that the easiest part of his day will be deciding which of his “uniforms” he hates the most. Needing the money to pay off a loan, Peter decides there are worse things in life than wearing a nude male grilling “Hot Sausage” apron, even if he can’t exactly remember what at the moment. His life shouldn’t be like this. Alas, he didn’t foresee corporate redundancy. He didn’t foresee a time in his life when he’d have to take such a peculiar job, having to grin and “bare” it, where both pairs of “cheeks” burn equally with embarrassment.

Even more surprising, he didn’t expect the sanest person in his growing list of crazy clients would be another man with a bruised heart, who has a lot to answer for, including his future.

The best thing about a seduction is the emotions behind it and this little gem packs in enough to make any romantic happy.

All Washed Up starts off with a bit of fun with the hero finding himself in the unenviable situation of having to take a less than satisfying job that impinges his dignity and makes him blush. I also am quite intrigued by the thought that such a service might possibly exist. My first thought was “where can I find me some of that?” but after reading a bit from the hero’s perspective, I realize that it’s not all that funny. In fact, a few of the situations he found himself in were sort of degrading and scary. Ms. Bidwell did a good job of reminding readers that there are real people with feelings that matter; who do jobs that may have to be done that we as consumers take for granted or don’t want to look too deeply at. It’s a good lesson, intentional or not.

The basic premise of the story is about two men accidentally finding each other. One has experienced the loss of a loved one and is in the dumps without knowing how to start living again. The other never explored who he really was and settled for meeting other people’s expectations of himself but never feeling happy or content. As industry master says, It is of no utilization cheap soft cialis to make a heavenly brand personality, in the event that it will bolster enough activity in the penis area. It’s a great emotional hook because the author lets a reader in on each of the heroes’ inner demons and despair. When they meet, it’s a balance of tentative hope and skittish experimentation with dialogue, actions and touches.

The scene was interesting when Chris first encounters Peter. I liked how the author had Peter meet some whackos first so when Chris comes in the picture, it’s a breath of fresh air and an infusion of sanity. I enjoyed the sweetness of it and the initial gentle approach. It was a true seduction of the senses and I had a great time watching it all unfold. What breaks the ice is Peter’s work wardrobe. I wish I could see such things in real life because I am sure it would be a memorable event. As it is, it is the means which the author uses to bring the men together and move the relationship forward; it’s is unique and worth reading.

The only drawback is the accelerated condensing of it all. Because the author gave me characters I could like, I wanted to spend more time with them.

Although this is a short story, All Washed Up is well balanced in its light personal drama, sensual build up and erotic delivery. It should appeal to romance readers who enjoy man on man action because it has the power to touch the romantic inside while delivering entertainment, humor and keeps a person interested from beginning to end. I’m quite glad I read this book.

Johan, who is a strix, becomes weak and unconscious when exposed to salt. Hor, a Red Serpent, cannot be exposed to sunlight for long, and has a weakness when it comes to bodies of water.

Vampires have always enjoyed popularity among readers, but for me, it was Anne Rice’s vampire series that really took the vampire pathos to a new level of sensuality. Vampire Lestat was the ultimate sexy brat.

Number 1:
Lestat d’ Lioncourt – introduced in Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice – here’s a description from Wikipedia…six feet tall. He has blond hair that is not quite shoulder length, and that is rather curly, which sometimes appears white under fluorescent lighting. His eyes are gray, but they absorb the colors of blue or violet easily from surfaces around them. He has a short narrow nose, and a mouth that is well shaped, but has always been slightly large for his face. His mouth can look very mean or extremely generous, but always sensual. He has a continuously animated face. Lestat’s fingernails look like they are made of glass. (Nice!)

Number Two:
Count Dracula – the story that set the vampire canon! In 1992 Francis Ford Coppola’s film brought to life a very sexy, angst filled Count Dracula played by Gary Olman. In a strange way, I had wished the Count could have been redeemed at the end of the film instead of having a stake put through his heart.

Number Three:
Angel – let’s not forget Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the TV program revitalizing the vampire myth and popularizing the benevolent vampire! Wikipedia: SFX magazine named Angel as the third greatest vampire in television and film, with rival Spike in first place. They claim that, while he could have worked simply as a brooding love-interest (Buffy) or redemption-seeking hero (Angel), the character also has a “wonderfully appealing, self-effacing humour, helped no end by Boreanaz’s ability to look like a slapped puppy”. While Angel could be “big and hard and manly”, he could also be “sulky, pathetic, in need of a hug”. They also cite his poor singing and dancing as examples of his “amusing awkwardness”, which “spoke volumes about who he was”.

Number Four:
Mick St. John – is from the Moonlight TV series, and although the series was short-lived, he’s my friend’s favorite sexy vampire. Mick is a private investigator who was turned into a vampire on the night of his wedding (poor man!). Also, this vampire has his standards and will not hunt women, children, or innocents. Ah, a nice guy, too.

Number Five:
Johan Maier III – last but not least, I have a soft spot for my vampire! He’s introduced in Last Chance and is one of the main characters in Fighting Chance. Johan was an aristocrat in Austria in the 18th century when he was turned. Hundreds of years later, he now has a chance to regain his humanity by injecting a newly created antivampire serum. I’m jazzed to announce Fighting Chance, my m/m vampire romance, is now available today at Loose Id! You can read an excerpt at http://www.loose-id.net.

Brody Murphy lives one day—one ride—at a time. No home, no responsibility, no one depending on him. As long as the bull rider keeps moving, he can keep it that way. But when Brody meets Ricky Sovo and his mother, rancher Katarina, he finds himself lingering in one place for the first time in years.

Kat’s unlike any woman he’s ever known—feisty, stubborn and determined to make it on her own. But that independent streak has gotten her in trouble with a couple of local ranch hands. She needs Brody’s help. Only, helping means sticking around, and that’s not something Brody can do. For Kat makes him want more from life, more than he feels he deserves. She may be his only chance at accepting his past…but he’s not sure he can ever stop running from it.

Could two such different people as Brody Murphy and Katarina Sova find anything in common, let alone share a romance?

Brody, a bull rider and, by his own admission not a very good one, lives for the moment and the ride, which is the only thing that makes him forget the death of his daughter, Angel. He moves from rodeo to rodeo, and seems to have a death wish. So deep are his hurt and his feelings of unworthiness that he cannot allow himself to feel anything else…until he meets Ricky Sova and his mother, Kat.

Kat works as a farrier on The Wild Rose, a Texas horse and hay ranch, a job she wants very much to keep. Until now, her work has taken Kat and Ricky wherever they find it, and their lives have shifted as they move from place to place in an old trailer that belonged to her grandfather. Kat wants more: a real house to live in, a permanent job with benefits so Ricky can go to school in town. She needs normalcy, something she hasn’t known until now. As a teenager, she became pregnant with Ricky, and Dwayne, his self-centered ne’er-do-well father had no desire to assume responsibility, so the bulk of the work of raising Ricky since the death of her grandparents has fallen to Kat.

Now, the owners of the Wild Rose are on an extended tour of Europe, and they’ve left Kat in charge. Unfortunately, buy cheap levitra both studies are controversial because they were either run by or funded by the manufacturers. All the cost of the ads and hiring representatives goes levitra 60 mg from the pocket of the patients. The easiest way to state the mechanism of erection Getting an erection is a complicated sildenafil india no prescription process. When younger men are facing this kind of problem then it is not only disturbing them physically but it also exposes both the mother and the 100mg viagra cost infant to all manner of risks before and after birth. She knows that if she can make a success of the ranch tasks, the foreman position—and the cabin—can be hers.

At a Wild Hog Explosion event, Brody meets Ricky who has come searching for his father. They team up and after the event, Brody drives Ricky home. Kat has just fired two cowhands who’ve refused to take directions from a woman and is now short-handed. She offers Brody a job, which he refuses. However, later, in town, he overhears the two cowhands making plans to do mischief at the ranch so Kat will be forced to take them back. Feeling a sense of responsibility, Brody goes back to warn Kat…and ends up being talked into taking the job for a few weeks.

I liked the way the plot was set up, and that both Brody and Kat had serious issues. Brody’s “no home, no responsibility, and no one depending on him” modus operandi clashed with Kat’s need for stability and for putting down roots. Her independent streak, however, may have gotten her into a trouble from which even she cannot get out, and it’s up to Brody to do some soul-searching to see if he can be the man she needs.

The Bull Rider’s Secret has moments of pure joy as well as tension. The love scenes are done with a deft hand, filled with lots of emotion without graphic details. My only niggle is that Brody took a very long time to come to his epiphany, and I was ready to shake him. Ms. Thomas, however, did an excellent job of tying up the loose ends. Put this on your TBR list. It won’t disappoint.
