There are few things more irritating as a teenager than desperately wanting to experience something that authority figures don’t think you’re ready to try.

No sooner does this tale begin than a clever twist upends everything I thought I knew about Kyle and his life. Figuring out what had actually happened kept me on my toes as the plot progressed and earned Ms. Jenna her newest fan. It’s difficult to discuss what happens to Kyle without inadvertently giving away spoilers, but suffice it to say that I was impressed by how much information I gleaned about his personality and character in such a short period of time.

This piece was written in present tense which made the dialogue feel stilted in certain scenes because so many different things were happening simultaneously. Writing it in the past tense instead would have allowed more time for the author to explain what was going on. It also would have eliminated several awkward phrases that distracted me from an otherwise gripping series of events.

Ms. Jenna supplied just enough information to wrap up the plot satisfactorily, but I still finished this tale wishing I could know what happens next. Kyle’s reactions to what happen to him are so flustered and realistic that I hope she will consider revisiting him when he’s a few years older. He is a memorable character whose quirks could provide enough fodder for a novel’s worth of adventures.

There are some stories I hope will never end, and A Granted Wish is one of them. This is a quick, satisfying read that I’d recommend to anyone else who is hearing about this promising author for the first time. It is a great introduction to what I hope will be a large body of work from her in the future.

Love in a Bottle, Book 1

Cassandra Parker has a secret: she’s in love with David Michalek, the sexy consultant she’s assisting on a major project for her company. She also has a rule: no office romances.

Then she finds a magic bottle, and a genie who promises to make all her X-rated fantasies come true—in dreams set in the past, present, and future.

As Lady Cassandra, she is swept off her medieval feet and out of her gown by tournament champion Sir David of Micheline, who proves he is as much a master of the sensual arts as he is of the martial.

As party girl Cass, sexy twins David and Mitch double team her with their challenge to decide which brother is the better lover.

In the real world, though, office politics take a malicious turn, leaving Cassie wishing more than ever that her dreams could become reality. Then she discovers she isn’t the only one with a fantasy or three…

Sometimes wishes are granted and, if you’re lucky, dreams can come true.

Cassandra Parker is a busy girl, working hard for her company and lusting over sexy David Michalek, one of the consultants working in her office. Her wicked cravings for him are kept neatly under wraps until, that is, a mysterious package arrives, containing not just a bottle of perfume, but also a genie.

Cassandra then finds herself plunged into three dreams, past, present and future, where she is the star of the show and David, or Davids in the plural, are her suitors. The dreams are hot and raunchy, take her to Heaven and back and leave her wanting the real thing even more. But life isn’t a dream and an evil contemporary is making Cassandra’s life almost unbearable, pushing her to snapping point, and beyond!

I enjoyed the premise of this story very much, it’s nice to come across something a little different in the erotic romance genre. The dreams were a great addition to the novel, they meant that the action got started, even before the couple could figure out the crinkles in their relationship. I liked how the author doubled and tripled David in the dreams – very naughty, great fun! A nice excuse to act out some fantasies too.

The dialogue was sharp, all of the conversations with meddling Amber had me clenching my fists – wicked woman. The genie was sweet – nice that it was a woman – and enough part of the story to be functional but not THE story, the plot was definitely Cassie focused. Sex scenes were steamy, I liked the last one the best, but that was probably because David really did if for me too, I could see why Cassie had got her panties in a twist over him – Phew!

A good novel, nice characters, realistic but magical, enough between the sheets action to stoke the fire and a lovely ending.

Sex hot enough to burn their worlds down…

Pietro doesn’t think he has time for love. Being a demon king and part owner of Seven Sins Inn leaves him little time for women. But when his friends claim that they’ve found the perfect match for him, Peitro is determined to prove that he doesn’t need a set up–he can find his own date, thank you very much. Undeterred, his friends send him to investigate a “problem” at one of the Inn’s guest functions, where Pietro sees the woman of his dreams, right there in the very kissable flesh.

Paranormal negotiator Callisto Monroe went to the Seven Sins Inn for a friend’s wedding, hoping she could scope the place out for work. But she didn’t plan on being swept away by the hot, dark-haired demon, or spending a weekend having the hottest sex of her life. All that’s well and good. But when things get too hot to handle, how is she supposed to protect her heart?

Callisto Monroe found herself at a wedding in the Seven Sins Inn which worked out perfectly since she needed to check it out. Callisto worked with her father as an intermediary between the human world and the paranormal one. She did not expect to meet anyone but found that she couldn’t turn away from the gorgeous man with the fiery eyes.

Pietro owned the Seven Sins Inn; he along with his friend Viktor made sure that it was a successful establishment. Viktor and the matchmaker Jonquil wanted to find a mate for him but Pietro had absolutely no intention of ever shackling himself to a female. He was content to stay as he was, single and unencumbered by a mate.

Seven Sins Inn: Pietro and Callisto is a very good story filled with lots of hot demon sex and a good story line. Pietro did not want to mate but when he saw Callisto he couldn’t help himself. The characters in this book were engaging and the chemistry between Callisto and Pietro was sizzling hot. I enjoyed their interaction and being a demon, Pietro was definitely an alpha male. I loved how Pietro would demand but Callisto would turn the tables on him and show him that she could also make demands. It was nice to see that even though he was a demon he had a softer side, more human than demon. The author made the characters bond on a deeper emotional level by having them share stories of their unhappy childhood which appealed to this reader because then the story wasn’t just about sex, and there was lots of hot sex in this story. Seven Sins Inn: Pietro and Callisto was a definite page turner and one I would recommend to anyone looking for an interesting and sizzling tale. This is the first book that I have read by Selena Illyria and I look forward to reading more from her.

Curiosity just might be the death of Mrs. Murphy–and her human companion, Mary Minor “Harry” Haristeen. Small towns are like families: Everyone lives very close together. . .and everyone keeps secrets. Crozet, Virginia, is a typical small town-until its secrets explode into murder. Crozet’s thirty-something post-mistress, Mary Minor “Harry” Haristeen, has a tiger cat (Mrs. Murphy) and a Welsh Corgi (Tucker), a pending divorce, and a bad habit of reading postcards not addressed to her. When Crozet’s citizens start turning up murdered, Harry remembers that each received a card with a tombstone on the front and the message “Wish you were here” on the back. Intent on protecting their human friend, Mrs. Murphy and Tucker begin to scent out clues. Meanwhile, Harry is conducting her own investigation, unaware her pets are one step ahead of her. If only Mrs. Murphy could alert her somehow, Harry could uncover the culprit before the murder occurs–and before Harry finds herself on the killer’s mailing list.

Murder isn’t exclusive to big, crowded cities, as the residents of Crozet, Virginia are about to discover for their own. When the citizens of the small town start turning up dead, the local post mistress thinks the odd postcards they’d received just before their murders might be a clue. She’s soon off to the races, with the help of her tiger cat and Corgi. Will small town life in Virginia ever be the same?

Mary Minor “Harry” Harristeen is Crozet’s postmaster and keeper of Mrs. Murphy, a tiger cat, and Tee Tucker, a Welsh Corgi. Harry always seems to be at the center of everything that happens in Crozet, but not always because she wants it that way. The post office seems to be the hub of the community with the residents coming and going and arguing and fighting on her doorstep. More often than not, the chaos is brought to her, although she’s notorious for doing a bit of snooping on her own. I found Harry to be an enjoyable character. She’s smart and knows her town like no one else, which will eventually help her solve the mystery. She’s also an animal lover and treats her furry friends as if they were family members, something which really endeared her to me.

The real stars of this novel, however, are the furry P.I’s. Mrs. Murphy and Tee, along with assorted other four-legged Crozet inhabitants, gossip and sniff and help point the humans in the right direction. The relationship between Mrs. Murphy and her canine pal, Tee Tucker, is priceless. They interact in much the same way as two sisters might – not always a fan of the others, but always with love. The contact and introspection between the animals really made the story for me.

Wish You Were Here was an entertaining mystery chock full of laughs, surprises, and animal hijinks. The seriousness of the murders is tempered by the natural lightheartedness animals bring to anything. Between the never-ending parade of colorful characters, their pets, and the ongoing mystery, you’re sure to find yourself engaged to the very end.

She wants off the Nice List. He owns the Naughty List. Christmas Eve has never been so sexy.

Jack, the outcast cousin of the Claus family, has one job within the Realm of Christmas. He’s in charge of the Naughty List. Distributing coal, emptying stockings, returning gifts, that’s his bag—but it does have its perks. Some of the women on the List wait up for him on December 24th and he makes sure to deck their halls with every visit.

Cadence Harris did everything right in her life. Played by the rules, dated the “good” boys, said the right things, worked at the right job. But this year for Christmas, she wants something entirely different. She wants off the Nice List and in a big way. Never in her wildest dreams can she imagine what’s in store when Jack pays her an accidental visit.

The night will prove that Santa always delivers.

Tired of always being the nice girl and the go-to girl, Cadence is ready to do whatever it takes to get on the naughty list. So when Jack shows up at her house she’s more than ready to let him show her just how to get on that naughty list. Jack is just as tired of his job of taking care of the naughty list for Santa. Feeling empty inside and wanting more from his life he finds himself drawn to Cadence and her sweetness. Both know that this night will more than likely be it for them but can they ignore the feelings they each begin to have for the other?

I really enjoyed this story. Jack is a bad boy through and through but he has a heart underneath all his bravado and Cadence may be just the woman to tear down the walls he has built around it. I loved watching the attraction that the two feel for each other turn into so much more as the story goes on. I adore Jack and was glad to see that Cadence was able to see the man behind his façade. She’s a smart woman who soon learns how to stand on her own because of Jack. The two make a wonderful couple. Each one complimenting and giving the other just what they need.

These characters where vividly brought to life for me and the author did a great job of pulling me into their world right from the very start. The love these two begin to share shines right off of the pages and when the end came and I had to leave it had me wishing I could come back and visit them again.

Makin’ a list, and rocking it…twice.

Perpetual good girl Lacey McGuire has two Christmas wish lists. One suitable for public consumption…and a private one that’s too hot to handle. Right at the top: wild, wicked fantasies about her best buddies and business partners Ryan Hollister and Bram Colton.

Besides the fact they’re both poster boys for Hunks ’R’ Us, they’ve been there for her through thick, thin and the heartbreak of a cheating fiancé. So what if her boys will never know they star in her sexiest daydreams? In her fantasy world, her heart will never get trampled again.

Ry and Bram are pretty sure Lacey never meant to email a list of some of her raunchiest wants. Particularly the one that tightens their shorts—she wants a threesome. With them. Although they’ve loved her for years, they made a pact to keep Lacey off limits in order to protect their friendship. Now all bets are off. And the quest to give her all she wants—and more—is on.

This story offers a unique spin on the classic high school crush. For one, the characters have harbored their unrequited love well into their adult lives. Not one, but two boys are infatuated with Lacey, the beautiful heroine. They just so happen to also be her besties. With this type of poetic development, I knew Jodi Redford wrote a winner.

Lacey, Ryan and Bram have been fantasizing about one another for years. These types of naughty fantasies would normally put a damper on a friendship of this length, but for this story it seem to enhance their friendship. I think the conflict between keeping the friendship intact while developing it into something more really added extra spice to the plot. discount viagra sales You should maintain intimacy and closeness. The biological causes are: Abnormal reflex activity of appalachianmagazine.com discounts on levitra the ejaculatory system, certain thyroid problems etc. When blood pressure is controlled, blood flow to the penis is improved and it becomes easier to check buy viagra without consultation the educational qualifications of the doctor. It is not consumed orally like purchase levitra other medications. One thing I really appreciated is the characters’ respect for their friendship over the romantic feelings. Their willingness to put their friend’s feelings over their own showed just how much they really cared for one another. I have always said friends make the best lovers and that is truly demonstrated within the story.

It is funny how Ry and Bram can seem so alike in one instance and so different in another. When it comes to Lacey they both seem to be on the same page and have the same wants, desires, and convictions. It’s like those relationships you see that seem just too perfect and accommodating. They make you envious in one moment and sick the other. When Lacey goes off stage and is out of the equation, you can really see their individual personalities demonstrated. Ryan’s character stood out a bit more because Lacey and Bram were those he has continuously had in his life so it made the relationship that much more important to him. Additionally, he has an inner strength about him that just draws me to him.

The BDSM element was tastefully executed by the author and for the most part remains light and sensual. It was done in a way that even if BDSM isn’t something a reader normally likes, they can still appreciate it, since it’s such a driving force behind the relationship development. It allows Ry and Bram to nudge Lacey when necessary to keep the relationship moving forward. It also enhances the story because it is one of new developments and experiences. I was entertained by seeing Lacey trying new things with her sexy men and wish I would have gotten an invite.

Whether you like sensual love stories that leave you pining for more, or erotic naughty stories that leave you feeling overheated, you can appreciate and enjoy this story. You never know, it may inspire you to write your own naughty list.

The deviant Dominant Jack Frost can be good…very good. But for being so good at being so bad, Santa keeps him on the naughty list. What would Jack do to get on the good list? Kidnap Santa? With the help of Mrs. Claus, Jack could force Santa’s submission and give him the one thing he’s always wanted—to be on the naughty list himself. Then Jack could show Santa just how very good he can be.

He’s determined to get on the nice list, even if it means being as naughty as they come.

I’m new to the works of KyAnn Waters and I’m not sure why it took me so long! The writing is tight, flows well, and kept me riveted to my seat from page one. I read this book twice because I simply couldn’t get enough. It sent shivers down my spine and scorched my screen.

And then there’s Jack Frost. He’s determined to get on the nice list and will do whatever it takes. Just one hitch: Jack’s a Dom and very good at what he does — being naughty.

On the surface, the plot sounds a little complicated, but Ms. Waters pulls it off nicely. I felt for both Santa and Jack and wanted to see them find their heart’s desires. Jack comes off a bit coarse at times, but it works for his character. He’s got to be in charge. I liked reading about Santa and how he deals with the situation. It comes across as both white-hot sexy and sweet.

If you want a book that’s short, but packs a punch, then look no farther. KyAnn Waters’ book, The Naughty List is certainly a one you want on your Christmas list for a heated season or just to warm a chilly winter’s night.

Christmas Wishes by Sharon McGregor

Abby Hudson pressed her nose against the brightly decorated store window. There it was- the Tamsin doll, the toy her daughter Emily had talked about for weeks and number one on her Santa list for this Christmas. She stared until she could make out the price tag and gulped in dismay. For once, she wished she had a credit card. She knew there would not be enough left from her paycheck after rent and utilities to cover the expensive toy. Ricky had been a wonderful husband and father, but a terrible financial manager. Abby hadn’t realized the extent of their money problems until after he died when she had to start picking up the pieces. First thing on that list had been to cut up all credit cards. Her job at the bank just covered essentials and she knew the Tamsin doll wasn’t one of those.

She sighed deeply, only to hear a familiar voice at her left elbow. “It can’t be that bad , surely?”

She looked up to see Darren Harding, her neighbor from down the street and father of Emily’s best friend, Jennifer. More than once those startling blue eyes and the slightly off-center grin had passed through her dreams. She pulled herself together to say. “Just window shopping. Have you finished your Christmas list for Jennifer?”

“Almost. It seems Jennifer and your Emily are now BFF’s. They haven’t reached the texting stage yet but the terminology seems to fit.”

“I’m glad they’re friends. It’s been a tough move for us, to start everything from scratch. Jennifer has really helped Emily. She even has her asking to sign up for figure skating lessons.”

“Are you visiting family for Christmas?”

“It will just be Emily and I. And Santa, of course. How about you?”

“My sister and her husband are coming to stay; we take turns. This year I get to mangle the turkey.”

Abby saw the time reflected on the store clock. “I’ve got to run, can’t be late for work.” With a last lingering glance at the doll and another lingering thought of those blue eyes, she dashed down the street and turned the corner to the bank.

Abby peeked into the envelope after stammering out a surprised thanks, and a blurted request for five minutes to run an errand. Now she had enough to buy the Tamsin doll for Emily.

She rushed down the street but her heart sank as she saw the doll missing from its place in the window. Then she turned to see Darren exiting the store with a shopping bag. She knew without looking what was in his package.

“Thought I’d better get it while I could.” He lifted his bag. “These dolls are a hot item and Jennifer has been talking about nothing else.”

“Emily too,” said Abby, unable to disguise the dismay in her voice. Somehow, the magic of the blue eyes failed to work for her. She stuffed the bonus money deep into her pocket and turned for work, hoping Darren didn’t see the moisture in her eyes. It was silly to be so worked up over a doll, but she couldn’t help the disappointment.

She checked the internet, googling all the major toy stores, with the same news everywhere. Sold out. Not available.

She busied herself with the tree and decorations, working herself into a holiday mood, almost forgetting about the doll.

Then the doorbell rang the Saturday morning before Christmas. She looked out to see Darren standing with a shopping bag held tightly. “I know Emily is skating with Jennifer,” he said, “so I thought this would be a good time to stop by.” He held out the package. “I could tell how disappointed you were when I beat you to the punch with the Tamsin doll, so I asked my sister to check for me in her town. Miracle of all miracles, she found one.”

He looked at her open mouth. “You do still want one? Or did I misread? I do that sometimes.”

“No; that’s perfect. How can I ever thank you?” She also thanked her stars she still had the bonus money tucked away. How embarrassing it would be if she didn’t have the money to repay him. “Emily will be so thrilled on Christmas morning. She’ll be on the phone to Jennifer first thing.”

“I think we’re going to be subjected to a few tea parties together in the near future.” The blue eyes emanated megawatts.

“I think I can just handle that,” thought Abby.

Making A Wish and Blow is a sizzling hot story with oodles of heat. From the start, you get the chemistry and the sexual tension that has been brewing between the characters. Their friendship adds depth, while their attraction fans the flames. The only issue I had with the story is Cassandra’s determination to keep Daren at an arm’s length, convinced that he only wants sex and will leave when the novelty wears. Considering their long-standing friendship, it felt odd that she could trust him so readily with BDSM style sex and her safety, but didn’t trust him to be honest about his feelings. Of course, her hesitancy does add some conflict, which works, but I had a difficult time understanding her motivations and fears.

Aside from this, however, the story is wonderful and entertains from start to finish. The writing is fantastic, allowing you to experience the intense longing Daren and Cass feel for one another, while the sex scenes blister. Each encounter is surpassed by the next, and I couldn’t wait to see how Ms. James kicked it up a notch. You’ll writhe like mad and fan yourself uncontrollably while reading this naughty and delightful erotic romance, and you’ll enjoy every wicked moment of it. This is the kind of story that increases the heart rate and keeps you coming back for more.
