In this quick, but entertaining read, one night changes everything for roommates and friends Justin and Gabby.
After one night of too much tequila things got a little too hot between Justin and Gabby. Now Gabby, determined to find her perfect match, is doing everything possible to avoid Justin. Because despite her attraction to the man, she knows Justin is a player and is not what she is looking for. Justin, however, doesn’t understand Gabby’s behavior and longs to give into the attraction that they feel for one another and make Gabby his forever.
This was a great friends-to-lovers story as two people finally realize that the love they have been looking for just might be closer than they had thought. Gabby has some trust issues when it comes to Justin because she knows him almost too well, having lived with him and met his past girlfriends/lovers. With the help of some interesting secondary characters who help Gabby see the light, she finally realizes the truth about her feelings for Justin. It was interesting to see Justin and Gabby work to repair their friendship and become lovers as they seemed perfect for one another yet still had some issues to deal with. They were great characters and the plot, while using a friends-to-lovers concept that has been done many times, but is still one of my favorite themes, was quite enjoyable to read.
This quick read is one that I would definitely recommend to fans of the friends-to-lovers theme or to anyone looking for a great contemporary read.
