With an ex-husband after her and scars from her abusive marriage etched deep, the last thing she expects is to fall for a man who makes a living with his fists, but she can’t resist Clay or the tender connection they share.

Finding love in the most unlikely of places, the passion is undeniable, but Clay and Melody know their haunted pasts and unpredictable futures leave the odds stacked against them.

There were a few times when the dialogue seemed to lag or feel a little awkward. Specifically, when Melody reveals her abusive past so early in their developing relationship, it just didn’t seem to fit her reserved “I’m on the run from my ex” character. Clay and Melody share a good connection, so maybe she simply felt more comfortable with him then I perceived. Either way it wasn’t a deal breaker for this terrific book. I had to know how they would overcome the major obstacle headed their way.

There is much more to explore with the characters of this charming town and I am excited to see that it will continue. Ms. Moon’s sweet and spicy contemporary is absolutely worth the read and will make a wonderful addition to any erotic romance reader’s collection.
