Just what exactly happens when an angel goes bad?

Rex finds himself rapidly falling for the beautiful angel, which can be risky when the object of your affection just might be psychotic. And if that isn’t enough, the men find that they’ve come to the attention of a ravenous succubus, who has developed an appetite for Scottish farmers.

Falling isn’t so bad… it’s the landing that hurts.

Something is seriously wrong in Heaven. Kokobiel, the Star of God, has been accused of treason and thrown from heaven to a muddy sheep pasture somewhere in Scotland. A Sidhe-born farmer named Rex finds him, and together they attempt to understand what has happened. Rex gives him a new name more suitable for Earth, and Kokobiel becomes Orion Hunter. After some time alone together, it becomes clear that Rex is ill equipped to educate Rion to the ways of mortals, so they travel to the Other Place.

Rex also has to come to terms with his growing attraction to the angel, his first attraction to another man. Once at the Other Place, Rex and Rion separate, and what is one day to Rex, is a year for Rion. Once they leave the Other Place, they encounter the Angel of Death, they draw the attention of a succubus and find the need to leave to avoid demons.

In Bad Angels: Falling Belinda McBride has created a marvelous world, not modern, but believable. The love between Rion and Rex grows slowly, but becomes stronger as time passes. The sex is hot, whether Rion’s partner is Carly or Rex, and the scene with Rex, Rion and the succubus on the road home is scorching hot. And I laughed out loud when Rex tried to explain “morning wood” to the newly fallen angel.

This is a very entertaining read, and I will be looking forward to the others as they come out. I just have to know more about these two, and I hope she answers the burning question “who is behind the problems in Heaven, and how will it all be revealed?”
