When reading this story I felt disconnected from Hunter’s character. It felt as if I only knew her on a superficial level but didn’t get to know who they were deep inside. While Hunter knows who she is on a professional level it seems she is confused on what she wants or need in her personal life. I think part of this is because Hunter didn’t really know her and what she wanted, so it made it hard for me to get to know who she really is.
Dre’s personality on the other hand really shined through. I really enjoyed the relationship development between Hunter and Dre. It is clear the physical attraction was there even if Hunter is in denial — and how she could deny a catch like Dre for that long is amazing to me. Dre is able to recognize what they both need and if he has to force Hunter kicking and screaming he will make her see how perfect they really are together.
The take charge attitude of Dre really drew me into the story and I think it will do the same for you.
