She expressed her confusion and skepticism. And the brothers had quite a bit to figure out for themselves, having never been close to each other before nor, of course, having been mated.

Each brother bringing Lacey into his world outside the bedroom makes for some funny and tender scenes, and in the end, who needs a bed, anyway? The love scenes are trademark Leah Brooke, steaming up the pages. Though I didn’t particularly care for one scene in which the brothers used sex to make a point, neither did Lacey and she definitely let them know it. And even if four gorgeous alpha men taking care of their mate is the stuff of fantasies, Lacey’s responses to her situation are fairly realistic, lending credibility to the story and drawing the reader even further in.

I was, however, somewhat distracted by the relatively high frequency of editing errors, including spelling, punctuation, and the mixing up of names, especially in important back-story scenes. And while perhaps a minor point, and one over which an author rarely has complete control, I was nevertheless disappointed that after many references to the heroine’s hair color in the story, the cover did not match.

I was not blown away by Alphas’ Mate, but I may have set myself up to be disappointed because I love Ms. Brooke’s Desire books, which have a permanent home on my keeper shelf and made her an auto buy for me. So maybe Leah Brooke has set the bar so high even she can’t always live up to Leah Brooke. Though lengthy, this is a fairly simple story told in straightforward language. It was really just your basic entertaining piece of erotica without a lot of depth or subtlety. That said, it was a fun and very steamy read, and if you like hot, dominating alpha werewolves taking their mate to new erotic heights, then Alphas’ Mate is the book for you.

There is definitely a happy ever after here, but is looks to be in doubt many times. I recommend that this book be read while sitting by the fan, and keep the cold drinks handy.

I found this story intriguing, yet twisted in a way. The daemon is everything a protagonist should be. Sadistic, evil, and has the Rosin brothers under his thumb. Alexander is driven by power, at first, while his brother Donavan is driven by his love for his twin.

These characters are believable and change, in ways, over the course of the story. What I found truly interesting is the complete one eighty the twins make where the daemons concerned.

Ms. Hart writes a enthralling and imaginative book. I look forward to reading more works from this talented author.

It only needs a mild adjustment to define it a little better. The rest of the story flowed along nicely.

Keep a box of tissues handy, as well as some hardy chocolate for the emotional rollercoaster in this sweet read. One minute there are tears in your eyes, the next you’ll want to pummel your pillow, and then you’re ready to kiss someone! The love scenes are yummy, giving all three characters equal time with arousals and passion while the tenderness displayed by each of the men makes a girl want to curl up on both of their laps at the same time to enjoy being so cherished. I do wish Ms Butler had shown us more though. For example it seems to be a granted that Candy tells them about her ex, yet it doesn’t show how the men react to this knowledge. Adam never explains to Candy why he tries to keep his distance. At least not so we the reader can see it.

But even with these small things that left me wondering this was still a fun and naughty read. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys cowboy antics. In the future I will definitely be looking for more works by Ms Butler.

I love Greek mythology, and the research that Ms Davies has done is masterful. I love it when Amy’s best friend DeeDee makes these two strong men promise to play fair; DeeDee is actually Aphrodite you see, and she wants them to woo Amy properly. The sex is, of course, way beyond volcanic. One of the hottest scenes is the one between Than and Nos, with Amy watching surreptitiously from the hall when she goes to wake them one morning.

Can Than and Nos convince Amy to believe, before Zeus succeeds? Can Amy accept two men into her life and her heart? And just what is DeeDee going to do with that leash and collar she put on Zeus? Taryn Belle is a six foot one female basketball player. When I think of sports stars, most are pretty clean cut. Not so our Taryn. She is the epitome of the “bad girl” image. Little does anyone know that this is the way she raises money for her charities since female salaries are significantly lower than male salaries. There were many secondary characters that made this story a joy to read. I loved Levi, Mr. Conservative Cowboy. His use of a camera and other apparatus is amazing. Jerome is Taryn’s best buddy for the past ten years. His loyalty and willingness to do anything for her is shown throughout. But my all time favorite character is Boris. Nothing beat his nails in the chest among other things.

Winner Takes All is the first book in the Delectable Bad Boys Series. I can’t wait for the next book since I found Winner Takes All to be a winner in my book and I hope that you will agree.
