She is generous and loyal to her friends, and is ready to move on after all she has been through. I like watching her open up as she discovered there was more to the world than she had been aware of. I enjoyed watching her discover her sensuous side, the side willing to open up to new experiences.

The men-Aquans-that want Savannah are as different from each other as they can be. There is Kral, the tall and handsome leader of his pod, who instinctively knew Savannah would be the perfect woman for his two pod mates and himself. Joquin is tall, blond and gently sweet, and Bariah is just a bit shorter that the other two, dark and more serious than the others. The other two, who join the pod later, are Jhoad and Zoeb, and both are as handsome and virile as the three men Savannah is starting to care for.

There is an edge to the story of who wants Savannah dead, and why. I was a bit surprised to see who the guilty parties were, and just how far they would go to get what they wanted. I enjoyed watching the interaction between Savannah and her men, and I was intrigued once again by the reversal of stereotypical behavior: when Savannah returns to the ship, all five men are worried that they have lost her, that she will forget them.

There is a fantastic happy ever after for Savannah and her pod of Aquans, and there is love and passion and lots of very steamy sex: on the ship, on the beach, in the ocean, in the lagoon….One warning with this one, and a tip: be prepared for lots of hot and exotic sex, and bring lots of ice water and a fan to cool down with.

This was a story in this series I was looking forward to and Ms. Hagen has done an excellent job of telling Oliver’s story. What won’t kill us only makes us stronger, and this is very true where Oliver is concerned. Underneath the gruff exterior lies a heart of gold. If you’re a reader who loves a story that unfolds into a very touching love story, you will love Oliver’s Heart.

Jessie is slowly accepting the fact that the brothers share her but is beginning to question their nontraditional tendency. Will she still be able to accept the brothers when she realizes they are looking for a forever kind of girl? And, did Jackson Wilde actually invent phone sex? Okay, probably not but you do not want to miss that conversation!

These books are written with one story flowing into the next so I highly recommend reading them in order. Their emotions run from hope, despair, amusement, and then when they set their sights on the heroine, Mai, their focus is intense and possessive. In a good way.

Mai is a woman who has spiraled downwards into an emotional abyss and she can’t seem to see a way out. She’s sweet as can be but slow to trust and fearful of the outside world. I liked how the author built up the story until Mai figured out what she needed to cure her panic attacks. Not only does it work but the cure brings with it the promise of untold happiness, a brighter future than she imagined and one heck of a conflict.

It was a bit rocky at times which made for some entertaining reading and it wouldn’t have been as much fun if Mai hadn’t made them work for it. She may have her issues but she’s a smart woman and I liked that.

The secondary characters were a nice touch because they introduced some key plot shifts and revelations. I liked Mai’s best friend and I thought the woman’s husband was terrific too.

Caress of Fur is a delightful and very steamy story sure to entertain paranormal romance readers looking for a quick alpha fix. The story has its humorous moments and I thought it funny that even an alpha can have allergies. What a cute touch. It also has a satisfying happily ever after that appealed to me.

Ms. Davies kept me entertained and interested throughout the story and I’m glad I got to review it.

David and Charlotte have sizzling chemistry from the very beginning. I found myself completely enthralled in the heated love-scenes and was anxious to turn the page to reveal yet another facet of the characters’ budding romance. Though the book tended to weigh a tiny-bit on the predictable side, I was impressed with the descriptive details that made the story come alive in vivid technicolor. I did feel that the background story revealing a major villain was somewhat rushed. I would have loved to see our villain’s side-story more detailed so the reader could truly learn to wish for and anticipate his future demise. Overall though I did come to realize the focus was to show the main character’s life as a vigilante, as well as to prepare his future mate for the life he has to lead.

I really like that readers can see the humbleness and insecurities of both characters in their quirks and their banter, making them seem touchable and real; however I was mostly impressed with the fluidity of the storyline. Mrs. Campbell’s smooth story-telling that seemed to flow effortlessly lured this reader into her fictional reality. I even envisioned myself in the story’s scenic location more than once. I found myself reading this book non-stop from start to finish without even realizing that my allotted leisure time had passed by.

If you enjoy contemporary vampire erotic-romance stories, then this book is definitely for you. Be prepared to find yourself rooting for the character’s “happily ever-after” and falling in love right along with them.

While the author spends a good amount of time on Shelly’s character, Michael is left a little bland. By the end, you’ll understand his motives, but it would have been nice to get to know him a bit better.

Grammar, punctuation, and editing were clean, and since this was all in Shelly’s point-of-view, there were no violations there. The sex is minimal, not really fitting a typical erotica, but it serves its purpose in the story. With so much time spent on the interaction between Shelly and Michael during her captivity, it left little time to adequately play out the major dilemma surrounding Michael’s presence in the plot to begin with. The author does leave it open for a possible sequel. Perhaps we’ll see more of these two and the trials they’ll likely encounter ahead.

Forget the bodice rippers of the past, this story provides a whole new twist on what might happen between a kidnapper and his victim. Before reaching the end, you’re bound to wonder just who’s seducing who and you might develop a little Stockholm Syndrome yourself.

I enjoyed the political intrigue that drove the plot between sex scenes. I also very much enjoyed the fact that our heroine was not just a sexual plaything, but a strong, capable woman.

This is a man you have hope for to beat his addiction and learn to love himself.

For all readers of the Brac Pack, Ms. Hagen does give updates on characters we have grown to love and introduces new ones into the fold. It’s nice to get updates on the characters from the previous books and to see how these characters all become ingrained into each other’s lives. This is an exciting series that gets better with every book and Remi’s Pup is a must add to this collection.

If strong characterization and layered plots are what draw you to a book, you won’t want to miss the Great Wolves series. These are not stand alone books but each story focuses on getting to know one of the men and seeing how they develop a bond with their mate.
