The characters are multi-faceted, neither wholly good or bad, but like most folk, just a mix of it all.

Eve Sinclair is a demon that sways souls, as are her two brothers. She dislikes turmoil and injury to innocents, and tries to make her quota without harm. When she learns of the prank her two brothers played at the Angels’ expense, she is determined to protect the innocent Dragon egg and return it to its home. When the egg ‘speaks’ to Eve, she is shocked and quickly learns what he is destined to be. Eve is smart and strong, and she has a feisty spirit that keeps her on track.

Ranton is determined to make the demon pay for her actions, although he quickly discovered that Eve is much more than he expected. He is drawn to her and realizes she is his mate, and that his unhatched brother has opened a link to her as well. Ranton is strong, determined and willing to give Eve a chance to explain her actions. I like Ranton, and enjoyed seeing how he came to accept the bond between her and his brother Jentaron, and Eve’s place in both of their futures.

This is a hot and passion filled beginning to the world of the Ethereals, filled with humor, danger, passion and fantastic characters. I enjoyed seeing the story unfold and am ready to spend more time in this world that Ms Harte has crafted. I look forward to seeing the ‘punishment’ of the two culprits who started it all with their prank, Duncan and James, and also look forward to the future King of the Dragons’ story in Jentaron’s future. This one is best enjoyed with a cold drink and a lot of tissues, because there is both laughter and tears in this one.

We also get to see that MJ is more than what she portrays to the world. The attraction and the emotions are strong between the three.

I enjoyed my visit to this world. This is the second book in this world and to better enjoy it I would recommend reading the first book. Their story is one hot and fast paced story which pulled me in right form the start and has me eagerly waiting for the next in this series.

I loved the chemistry and connection between Jaycee and Tyler and will happily reread this story a number of times more. Recommended.

Some of the opportunities I had were the short chapters (I would have made fewer chapters with separations), occasional stilted language and fight scenes that needed more elaboration. There were also a lot of characters and it made it hard to keep up with the story.

Overall, I liked the book. The heat level during the erotic scenes was nice, but again the dialog between the characters was strange. The shifter mate trope was used well and I think the series has some really great potential. Marissa was someone I liked and wanted to see happy and I think Neil may just be her knight in furry armor.

This book was a great read! I started reading it late at night and only meant to read a few pages and then continue on the next day. That was a mistake, because I got so caught up that I read straight through to the end without once putting it down. I enjoyed every page.

Colin McFarlan’s mother really wanted her three sons to get married and start living their own lives so she had given them an ultimatum to marry or she would sell the ranch. Colin’s brothers have fallen in love already so now it’s his turn or else the time is running out. The problem is that this cowboy has been burned by a love that came between him and his brother Brody. Poor Colin was so frustrated by his mother’s ultimatum and irritated at her flirtation with the town heartbreaker that he gets involved with the one woman he has never quite forgotten. I couldn’t help feeling bad for Colin and Fancy. They had tried moving on but hadn’t been able to get past the fallout from their one night together. Plenty of mistakes were made as the past kept coming between them in one way or another.

I enjoyed this short story. I loved the second chance at romance part, and I especially enjoyed the sizzling love scenes. It had a fast pace and defined characters. I absolutely loved the emotions. Colin and Fancy were both wonderfully flawed and vulnerable. Colin was adorable, but he kept jumping to conclusions and messing things up. Fancy was so wary of getting hurt again that she almost messed things up herself by pushing him away. I also enjoyed the secondary story that Myla Jackson subtly slipped into the mix that involved Colin’s mom and Fancy’s uncle. Most of all I adored the funny lightheartedness of the plot. It had a few laugh out loud moments that involved Colin’s clumsy jealousy and Fancy and a cable guy.

For the record, Boots and the Heartbreaker is book eleven in the Ugly Stick Saloon Series by Myla Jackson. This is a blazing hot series that is well written with relatable characters. I’ve enjoyed each amazing story in this series. This one was a fantastic read and I can’t wait for more.

I have to say that the plot was strong, with interesting characters who were vividly well written. Elsa was a hundred year old vamp, a deadly mercenary/enforcer sent to investigate an underground fighting ring. One of the twists being that it’s not ordinary MMA fighters but instead these fighters are all supernatural species. Some, like our sexy werewolf hero, Sevastian, are forced into brutal gladiator matches. The set-up is a kill or be killed …. only the strongest survive type scenario. Elsa is a deadly vamp with a cheeky sense of humor that gets her in a lot of trouble. She is thrown into a cell with Sevastyan, a crazed Russian werewolf, and as fate would have it they are mates. They gave each other strength but also became their greatest weakness.

This story had a bit of everything to capture and hold the reader’s interest. The action and fight scenes were thrilling. There was a bit of suspense as Elsa and Sevastyan tried to outwit their captors. It was romantic and passionate, they had the instant attraction and sizzling chemistry. The sex scenes were hot ! I loved most of all how sweet and protective they were of each other. This short book was super fast paced and exciting the entire way.

I absolutely can see why Alyssa Stevens titled this book Dangerous Match. Elsa and Sevastyan were a dangerous couple of survivors. I enjoyed it greatly !

In From The Cold was a very special story. It had a nice romance for the main couple who got to each other in a sweet but bumbling way. That was what hooked me at the beginning, but later on it was the tragic drama, and how together Drake and Claire were, that had me unable to put this story aside for a minute.

Claire and Drake stepped on each other’s toes at first. Oh, the sparks were flying, but they both took a few wrong turns before deciding to mend their fences. I actually liked both of these characters because the author gave them just the perfect flaws to make them seem real to me. There had been bad relationships for them both though, and Claire’s heartache and fear caused her to push Drake away for a while. But he liked her because she was so different from the women of his social circle. Claire liked him for who he was and not just for what he had. He just had a difficult time convincing her to take a chance. Then they were drawn into some tragic drama with a little girl and some of Drake’s messed up friends. All in all though, I felt that it all worked out for the best.

This was a great read. The story was romantic for Drake and Claire, and it all seemed real because of the way they acted. Drake was a billionaire CEO, but he was first a father who got overwhelmed trying to do potty patrol. That made him relatable. It was lighthearted, especially in the beginning. It was suspenseful because all the way through I was absolutely certain that something serious would happen with Yvette. The story just kept flowing along at an easy pace until it happened, and then I thought, well I never saw that coming. Most of all I liked the part with the girls and how that all played out. It made the story for me.

This was a lovely story that I greatly enjoyed !

It was lust at first sight when Stowe and Tabbart first met on the set of her celebrity food show. They had an instant connection but Stowe returns to the ranch without making any moves on Tabbart. These two were both feeling restless in their lives for one reason or another. They couldn’t stop thinking about each other but it was Tabbart who sought Stowe out at the Boot Knockers Ranch and paid for his sex therapy services for a week. Her only request was complete privacy because of being a celebrity, and that was where the most trouble came about when someone recognized her at the ranch.

Em Petrova gave these two characters an incredibly real connection. They were fascinated with each other right from the beginning, but their relationship grew into something more than the sizzling chemistry, and somehow the author conveyed that deeper connection in their scenes together. As usual, it was their intimate scenes that burned up the pages. Stowe had all the right moves and toys, cuffs, crops, whips to make Tabbert one very happy girl. Now, readers who are familiar with this series will know that Stowe is known around the ranch as The Dom From Down Under. So there was some lite BDSM. There wasn’t a lot of drama between them until the end, but both of these characters were likeable. Tabbart totally trusted in Stowe, and he was determined to protect her no matter what.

I absolutely love Em Petrova’s books. Her writing style is excellent, the story was engaging and flowed easily. I enjoyed it so much that it seemed to fly by too fast, even. My favorite part, and the one that first snagged my interest, was the strong characters and their wonderful bond. Yes, it was a sensual story but it was that romance aspect that I loved most.

I completely enjoyed this book !

Heidi Cullinan is easily one of my all-time favorites for M/M small town romance. I enjoy that she addresses the prejudices that can crop up in small town USA and that she meets it head on with characters that aren’t afraid to love each other despite the world around them.

Snow penises, that’s what sold this book for me, the cute way that Kyle and Paul finally saw each other as a possibility, the moment that Paul realizes that Kyle is all grown up. Kyle is the smaller of the two men, but he’s definitely in charge. I loved this about him, he’s not afraid to be everything Paul needs to fall in love and be happy.

The way that a good chunk of the town works hard to help Kyle woo Paul made me smile, and I loved catching up with past characters and the way they supported each other. I so want to visit Logan Minnesota myself, after reading this book, too bad it’s fictional.

For a good small town romance with a MM twist, look no further than Winter Wonderland, it has quirky characters, a warm fuzzy feeling and leaves the reader craving some Christmas cheer.

This is Booker’s love story, and it was a super hot read that lived up to all my expectations. Now, everyone who’s read this series absolutely knows who Booker is …. he’s the King of sex toys. As the story opens we learn a bit about Booker’s past ; he has an ex-wife that he still loves, and an adorable little daughter that he hasn’t seen in a long time. He’s heartbroken that he lost them both. His ex-wife, Skye, is a good single mom, but lately she’s been thinking about Booker, and wishes that he was a part of little Findlee’s life. She tracks him down to the Boot Knockers Ranch. Booker never stopped thinking about Skye, so imagine his surprise when she turns up at the ranch to talk things over, and looking for some cowboy sex therapy for herself. That’s when he takes control of the situation, it seems that Booker is a very possessive man.

There was a true connection between Booker and Skye, and not just because of the hot sex, or their daughter either. Their love had never died, even though they both made mistakes. Booker was a hopeless flirt and Skye was overly jealous. They got their second chance, and Booker was still reluctant to tell Skye everything about his sexual preferences, until eventually he gave her one eye opening show.

Mercy ! Em Petrova wrote an excellent and steamy story with this one. Cowboy Not Included was a sweet second chance at love romance, but it was sinfully sexy, with all kinds of decadent intimacies. You name it and it was in this book.

In short, I was delighted by this book, and can’t wait for the next one in the series.
