I was totally captured into the sensually fragrant, vivid and emotive world of Ms. Petrova’s making in such an absorbing and exciting way that I not only observed the story but felt the experience of it. The lovemaking scenes were beyond delicious. The sexual tension built throughout the story, fueled by descriptions of fantasy and individual self-fulfillment which erupted in an emotionally powerful episode in the grassy wilds. Wow. With the help of Talen they must gather their magic and ready themselves for a fight that seems to be on its way. I enjoyed seeing the three interact and watching their alliance turn into something more was a nice read. I hope that I get to return to this world again to see Talen find the love that he deserves.

The three men are all gorgeous; blond and gorgeous Lionel, dark and delicious Crow, and steady and sexy Tim. What more could one woman want?

But there are hidden agendas, things that Thea doesn’t know about everything happening. These secrets could shatter the very foundations of the blossoming relationship between Thea and Tim forever. I enjoyed watching the way things unfolded, and was very pleased with the way Tim handled things to provide a happy ever after for Thea and himself, while also foiling Oz’s great plan.

But be warned: this is a very explicit and detailed story, sure to heat up your night and give you many delicious thrills.

This was a wonderful story to start the collection with! If it is any indication of the stories to come I cannot wait. Lady Gertrude Fitzpatrick (Tru) and Ewan make one sassy couple. Their banter goes back and forth so fluently you know these two were made for one another. The fact that they cannot trust one another in the beginning made it an even more exciting story. I mean, Ewan really knows nothing about Tru other than the fact that she is hiding something and Ewan is a pirate so he cannot be trusted. One thing about this story that I did find disturbing was the fact that Reginald was her cousin and tried to force himself on her. I know as an historical story those behaviors were acceptable at that time, but it did set off my ick factor. I was happy that it did not get too sexual between them. But the sex between Tru and Ewan – now that was something to want to read about. This was definitely a story that kept me entertained.

When Jade’s father kllled her first love, she had a clue as to his evil nature, but she didn’t realize just how demented he really was. But she was more than happy to go with Damien once she realized he was real. Although not love at first sight, there was definitely chemistry immediately — these two could not keep their hands off of each other. Although the author mentions this story was created after her previous story Fatal Error which featured Damien’s parents I did not get the feeling I was missing anything. So far all of these stories have had great momentum.

Kiss Me at Midnight by Kae St. James

This story proved to be a sweet end to this collection. The story definitely focused more attention on the romantic aspect instead of the eroticism of the previous stories. The sex scenes in this story were absolutely sexy and hot, but you could tell that love was in the air and not just lust. Although both characters were great, the one who really caught my attention was Marc. The fact that the media that he was a part of pegged him as a playboy, when in reality he wanted love, made him unique. I also liked that he allowed Callie to determine the pace of their relationship because he knew his reputation created a hindrance for her. I think he is a truly exceptional man and one any woman would be proud to call her own.

Although these stories did not have a common aspect other than the erotic factor, they were still very entertaining. From the arrogant pirate to the sweet, misunderstood reporter you will desire over each fantasy man. Not only are the characters all different but the plots were as well. I think it is a nice way to get introduced to something you may not necessarily have read in the past. Trust me you will find yourself wanting to read more after these stories. With great plots and exceptional characters each story will be remembered.

As the book goes on we see the love that they have shine through it all. Even the evil Atia may find peace after all these years.

With a few unexpected twists this book is a good read and should not be missed. Opal Carew writes a magical story about true love, keeping the reader enthralled until the end. If you enjoy a tale full of love and magic this is one you are sure to like.

The scenes of lust and love between Brennan and Naamah, his “Kitten”, vary between species – humanoid, felinoid, and lion alike – but it’s always well-written and well-scripted. The enemies in this novel are well-written and take on a whole life of their own. The creepy main she/he Hyena, Cass, jumps off the page and I’m sure I’ll have nightmares of that sinister beast tonight.

The best part about this story is that there IS a story. One laced with equal parts of need, desire, lust, passion and real conflict between the characters. There is an underlying age-old undertone of the characters “wants” versus their “destiny” at play. You want Brennan and “Kitten” to be together, but the obligations and risks are high if both give into their desires. Even though the story is short, it is enjoyable nonetheless, and in this case — size really doesn’t matter. I give this book four cherries and I’d highly recommend it to anyone that loves paranormal romances with some torridly good, beastly interludes mixed in.

When I first opened his story, I was taken by the back and forth nature of the plot. First to Egypt, then to Canada. Honestly, it didn’t jar the reading—the back story made the details make more sense. I liked the world Ms. Gray created. I really felt like I was transported back to Gaius’s time and conversely, like I was in the middle of the treasure hunt with Anne Marie.

One sticking point for me was Anne Marie’s choice of profession—she stole things. This may not be a big thing to some, but it had me rooting against her initially. Although I thought the sex happened a tad fast, I see why it happened as it did and still found it hot. Ms. Gray writes a sizzling love scene. Whew!

If you want a book that’s chock full of action, hatred, scorching hot sex, and a hero to die for, then you need to read Heartless. I give this one 4 cherries.

The Wife School makes you believe that you’ve time-warped back to old England then fast-forwarded once again to the Millennium where Amelia and Ben find true love while Souche gets his just desserts. The heroine was a contradiction between innocence and an experienced woman who, though she had a strong sense of honor about marrying Souche because of the contract, had no concerns about sleeping with his enemy.

All in all, the story was a pleasant read, well-written, and easy and quick to read.
