Sara is having a love affair with books. But, since books can’t make love to you, it means she’s in the middle of a very long dry spell. Until a sexy Brit shows up. Suddenly she’s learning just how stimulating a library can be—up against a bookcase, behind the card catalog, on the circulation desk . . .

Meanwhile, Veronica is incredibly frustrated. While Sara and her new man are using the library as their personal adult playground, she’s stuck with only her thesis and her sexual fantasies. But Andrew, her crush, isn’t above using his . . . assets to get Veronica right where he wants her: alone, in a darkened corner of the stacks.

Who knew reading could be this pleasurable?

Libraries are usually boring and quiet, right? Not in this story!!! The librarian gets some action in the stacks and elsewhere in the library. Even her assistant squeezes in some extracurricular time.

Sara Owens is the youngest assistant head librarian of special collections at the university library; she’s only in her mid-twenties. She’s a hard working, follow-the-rules type of person. She hasn’t had a boyfriend in a while, but has been intrigued by a handsome British professor-type guy who keeps checking out books on various subjects. William Hammond has been doing research in the United States, but is stalling on his return to Europe due to his desire to become acquainted with Sara, the beautiful librarian. When Sara finally picks up on his hints, with some help from Veronica, the sparks fly between Sara and William. Sara does has moments of doubt when her sense of duty is at war with her desire for the handsome William, but he convinces her to fall for him.

Veronica’s job is not clearly stated, but she appears to work as a circulations clerk, checking books in and out. She’s a college senior, working on her thesis in the library during her off-duty time. She aspires to be a librarian, hoping to go into the library sciences program as a grad student. Veronica has recently broken up with her boyfriend, Andrew, because she saw him kissing her roommate. Little did she know that it was a misunderstanding since Andrew had a very good reason for what he did. Andrew had to work hard to convince Veronica of the truth, so he used all of his manly talents to win her back.

The narrative is very descriptive and does not disappoint. Down time barely exists in this novella as we go from one sexy scene to the next. I was a bit concerned that Sara doesn’t know much about William before they get together, but this is an erotic novella after all. In real life, how many librarians would actually risk their jobs to have sex with a patron in the library while it’s open for business? This novella is in two parts, with Sara and William’s story in Part One and Veronica and Andrew’s story in Part Two. Both parts are full of hot scenes in the library, fulfilling the title of the book.

Lust in the Library is an erotic escapade sure to increase the temperature in any room you read it in. Be sure to have something or someone nearby to help you out when it gets too hot.

Why settle for just one man?

Kara North is on the run. Fleeing from her controlling fiancé and a wedding she never wanted, she accepts the chance offer of refuge on wild, rocky Liddell Island, where she soon catches the eye of the island’s owner, erotic photographer Ric Liddell. Wickedly sexy by day and just plain wicked by night, Ric rules his domain like a feudal lord. He’s used to getting what he wants, without any commitment, and just when Kara thinks she has him hooked, he hides behind a cool, dispassionate mask.

But pleasure comes in more than one flavour when Zachary Blackwater, the charming ice-cream vendor also takes an interest, and wants more than just a tumble in the surf. Zach offers her warmth that she never felt from her ex, and soon it’s not just the ice cream that’s melting. When Kara learns that the two men have been unlikely lovers for years, she becomes obsessed with the idea of a threesome. Zach is reluctant, until he sees the dynamic effect Kara has on Ric’s emotions. She might be the key to finally capturing Ric’s heart.

Soon Kara is wondering how she ever considered binding herself to just one man. She’s never had so much fun or felt so uninhibited, but just when everything seems so perfect, the man she left behind returns with some very old-fashioned ideas about rescuing her and taking her home to his own idea of wedded bliss.

The title of this book sums it up nicely. Whatever your inklings in erotic romances and erotica, this story has a little bit of everything. It starts with a bang, no pun intended, and we’re quickly introduced to the main character who, refreshingly enough, is running away from her wedding and not being jilted.

I can’t pinpoint exactly why but I didn’t quite connect with Kara as much as I did with Ric and Zach in this story. Maybe it was because the men already had a relationship together when Kara joins them on the island. While she was interesting, I thought the two men came across as more caring so I felt like I was rooting more for them than her. Having said that, I wasn’t disappointed in the way the author chose to end the book.

I really enjoyed the setting of this story…the isolated island on the coast. It added to the atmosphere and fit in well with the plot. There’s a couple of running plots in the story, including an individual who threatens the happiness and possible future for Kara, Zach and Ric as a triad. In particular, Ric is the focus of this outside advisary. There’s a scene that Ms. Ellis handles very well but it might be disturbing to some readers who tend to avoid any reference to rape.

The dialogue was very realistic and despite this being a full length novel, the pacing was spot on. The action kept going but I felt had the story focused more on characterization, especially for Kara, and less on sub-plots and these characters many interactions, it would have been stronger. I liked the ending and thought it was a satisfying conclusion to the story.

The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily-ever-after . . .

Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible enough to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sisters’ debuts as well. So she decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing’s happened . . .

Until the real earl appears. Richard Fairgrave had every intention of confronting his villainous twin who had robbed him of his name and title . . . only to discover that he had died. Quietly assuming his identity, Richard must now deal with a maddening desire for his ravishing inherited “wife”— certainly a gold digger and possibly a murderess. And Christiana must deal with an unwanted new “husband” . . . and they both must figure out what to do before the ice melts!

If a reader is searching for a madcap comedic romance with more twists and turns than a pretzel, they can’t go wrong with this delightful and entertaining romp by Ms. Sands. The Countess kept me guessing and smiling all the way through.

The main crux of the story is two-fold. How can a woman overcome the degradation of her first husband’s cruelty and trust a man who looks just like him? How can a man overcome his need for revenge and learn to trust the woman he thinks might have killed his brother? Sounds heavy doesn’t it? Those are the initial dramatic threads that rope a reader in by instilling a ‘need to know’. That need is cemented by the creation of two wonderfully fascinating characters that truly are fun together.

Christiana’s initial reaction to seeing her dead husband alive was classically funny. Richard’s reaction at her seeing him was equally entertaining. What comes after, the slow discovery of who and what Christiana is really like was akin to watching a rose bloom – petal by petal unfurled to become a woman Richard is helpless to resist. It was the quality of writing that pulled it off to my satisfaction.

The truth will set you free, or so they say. In this story, the truth makes more conflict, more trouble, more plot twists and more hilarity than a reader would expect from the blurb alone. I had no idea that the cast of characters that Ms. Sands populated The Countess with would be so adorable, entertaining, and integral to the motivation and plot to the degree they are. I don’t think this book would have been as fully fleshed out if even one of the secondary characters was shoved into the background. They all played key roles in the humor of the story. Certainly when it came to figuring out who the villain was, they were indispensable.

Speaking of the villain, what an interesting bit of writing that was. Even though the guy was dead, he still managed to cause an inordinate amount of mayhem for the hapless couple. Add to that another wrinkle that I never saw coming and one that I highly suspected but wasn’t sure of until the great reveal. I enjoyed how Ms. Sands wove those threads throughout the book. It was a steady, low-level hum of drama and suspense that flavored this tale that kept me as fascinated as watching Richard and Christiana fall in love.

My favorite parts were when Christiana got drunk, looking for the “strawberry”, when Suzette described what she heard, which made the heroine blush and sent me into a giggle fit, and I got a kick out of Grace, Christiana’s maid. And how could I forget the scene when Richard was so overcome with passion he forgot which bed he dropped the heroine onto. Of course that scene was not only chock-full of sensual tension but it was quite important to the progression of their romance…and other things.

What made this story even better was the secondary romance going on between Richard’s best friend and Suzette. Plus I think there is another simmering. What I appreciated about them both was how the author handled the extra romance threads – they enhanced the main story and didn’t dilute it in the least.

The Countess is entertaining romance at its finest. The author’s writing kept the pace brisk, pertinent, and showcased the best of what historical romantic comedic fiction has to offer. The dialogue was incredibly important in helping me understand the main characters and their motivations. It highlighted their personalities and foibles and when they declared their love, it was sweet and spicy all at the same time. The Countess has so much going for it, and is written so well, it’s not only a keeper to be re-read but a book that is worth recommending to other reader friends and fans of funny historical romances. I’ve read Ms. Sands’ paranormals before but this was the first I’ve tried of her historicals. I guarantee that this will not be the last. This author is very talented!

Some men are too bad to be true . . .

Is he really a Viking with a vampire’s bite? An angel with the body of a thunder god? A lone wolf with love on his mind? Alexandra Kelly, his prey, thinks Vikar Sigurdsson is either flat-out crazy or he’s trying to maneuver her into his bed—which is hardly where a professional reporter should conduct an interview, tempting as that prospect might be.

And some men are too good to be true . . .

Until Vikar does something a teensy bit unexpected, and Alex begins to wonder whether her mystery man could really be everything he says he is: a Viking Vampire Angel on a thousand-year-long mission with his pack of sinful brothers—and a man who’s finally found the woman of his dreams. By then, Vikar is already wrapping his chiseled arms around Alex’s body . . . and sinking his wicked fangs right into her neck. If this is sin, why does it feel so good?

Ms. Hill has turned her favorite theme of irreverent and sexy Vikings and sent them on a journey no Viking was ever meant to go. The result is an amazing array of characters who battle the ultimate evil all the while entertaining readers with that unique sense of comedic timing Ms. Hill has honed to perfection. It’s not as light and fluffy as I’m used to but there is an awfully good reason for that. Ever hear of Viking vampire angels in training? No? Then get settled in a comfy chair because this adventure is going to astound fans of paranormal romance with its freshness and interesting interpretation of a few Christian beliefs all wrapped up with a hero with attitude and a heroine who isn’t afraid of his teeth.

First off, I want to give credit to Ms. Hill for making St. Michael the Archangel funny. Ironic that I’ve been aware of his role in religious history, but that’s where he remained – sort of forgotten and I never gave him much thought. He did his job, played his role and that was the end of it. Not according to Ms. Hill. And I adore her for it. It’s like she brought him to life; teasing readers with the possibility that there is a vital role he could be currently playing somewhere on this Earth even in this day and age. He’s personable, snarky but loving, extremely alpha and commanding when he has to be and he never loses focus. He’s a good one to have at your back and on your side, provided you stay on his good side. And that’s where the heroes of the story come in because in the beginning, they are totally not on his good side. In fact they’re so bad it’s insulting and yet, there’s St. Michael’s belief that they are redeemable. It’s the whole question of how to get stubborn macho full of themselves Vikings redeemed that makes not only this story line work but is enough to base an entire series on.

Early on, the author made it very clear to readers and in fact draws the line in the sand as to who and what, was evil. She did that by taking readers to a scene of torture. What I found most fascinating was the intent and level of the sexual violence. It’s not a long and drawn out scene; it’s akin to having a tooth yanked out. There are a lot of romance books out there that have BDSM elements and it’s considered erotic and a bunch of other stuff. What Ms. Hill did was take that and debase it; had the bad character twist it as only a minion of true evil could do. It made me uncomfortable because I have read a few stories with BDSM and enjoyed them but seeing it in this different light made me feel twitchy. The author got her point across. The bad guys are really bad.

Finally, I can get to the hunky hero, Vikar. I thought he was yummy, exasperating, but delicious. His emotions are all over the place for the heroine, Alex, but he can’t figure out why. He has to save her but she fights him all the time. The things he has to do and say to convince her had me laughing many times. He certainly is very manly, dedicated and very tempted. Wait until readers get a glimpse of ‘near-sex’. Generic representation of sildenafil online no prescription this drug shows the similar characteristics of its efficacy and side effects. I alternated between fanning myself over the very sensual and satisfying relationship scenes and laughing out loud at his gullibility. He can’t seem to resist her not matter what he tries and there’s a very good reason for that. I enjoyed his internal conflict and the various facets of his personality. In no way is he perfect, but he’s certainly the kind of man who is close to being it.

Alex is a woman who has a lot of learning to do. Not just about the war between the good and evil vampires but about herself as well. Her journey is full of emotional growth and facing the truth. She has to forgive, to go on and embrace what’s really important and to do that, she has to let go. Of what, only readers will know. It’s a pretty heavy burden. It starts off innocent enough but it quickly spirals into a war of trust and love against temptation and hate. It doesn’t help her case that the heroine is more stubborn than a mule and as sneaky as a fox. She makes it very hard for Vik to earn his wings because she’s pure temptation and she likes him, a lot. I enjoyed her dialogue but one of the funniest aspects was her journal entries. Actually they were pretty hysterical because in each chapter she gathers more information that skews what she thought she knew and she has to rewrite the intro to her story every time. What makes them worth reading is a reader can see her understanding and perception advance the more she learns. In the beginning she’s cynical and dark but there’s a complete 180 degree turnaround by the time of the final entry. It’s its own happy ever after.

Secondary characters are seductive. I’m not referring to sex although there were a few that it certainly could apply to. What I mean is Ms. Hill introduced each man who will either play an integral part in helping the protagonists reach their happily ever after in Kiss of Pride or will eventually have their own story. The author teased me with bits of information that made these men worthy of interest and curiosity. How is the author going to cure a Viking vampire angel of sloth or rage? All the men have their crosses to bear and some are lengthier than others because, being Vikings, sometimes they just can’t help sinning, just a little. Of what I saw of the men who helped fight the battles, save their friends or ate tons of food with gusto, I imagine their stories are going to be as exciting and thrilling as this one was.

Jasper is the mega-villain. He has his favorite evil minions and when he is displeased with any of them, he does bad, deviant and horrific things to them. The author left me with no doubts – not only is he evil, but killing him is the best idea, ever. In addition, what he does with his ‘collected souls’ is quite inventive, in a sick, psycho sort of way. Again, visualizing it might give a reader the heebie-jeebies, so be warned. Thank goodness the author had those incidents occur few and far between – they were so dark they could have easily overshadowed the tone of the story. I’m glad Ms. Hill kept it on the brighter side of things…like the pre-dawn hours.

Truly, this book has so much going for it that it’s hard to know where to stop talking. I really enjoyed the struggle between Vik and Alex to build a relationship, I was fascinated by the whole concept of Lucies versus Vangels, I was impressed by the descriptions of the foul demons, and I got a kick out of how regular life, like shopping and eating, were smoothly worked in. You know, it’s life, “mushroom and cheese omelets, it’s no big deal, ‘Oh, look, there’s a great deal on sheets …”see you later, gotta go kill a demon” — normal Viking stuff.

If readers enjoy a little dramatic action and bite with their laughter then Kiss of Pride will have you clamoring for more. Ms. Hill has created a truly special and enthralling world that makes Vikings sexier than ever. Be still my heart. The fact that these vampires are the good guys makes enjoying their toothy attentions so much easier. They are all hunky action heroes who have to earn their wings. They brawl, argue, fight and have honor with a capital “H”. They are worth redeeming and each and every one I was introduced to in this book proved it. The question is, how? I can’t wait to find out. Kiss of Pride was an awesome read.

Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents—unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers—that grow stronger by the day.

It’s a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen and war is imminent.

The first in a breathtaking saga about teens battling each other and their darkest selves, gone is a page-turning thriller that will make you look at the world in a whole new way.

This is an amazingly well written fantasy which will intrigue all ages. Gone encompasses a plot line that is truly unique from any other story I have read. The concept of children having to fend for themselves is not different, but the author incorporated kids developing powers with animals and morphing into something no one has ever seen, and the result is a compelling world.

This story certainly shows how, no matter what the situation, you will always have your heroes, bullies, and followers. In particular, this technique tends to be one of you otherwise secretworldchronicle.com discount cialis it may come to feel like a man again however will additionally enhance your future sexual coexistence significantly. The number of people who purchase tadalafil participated in this clinical trial was approximately 300 and all these people were suffering from prostate cancer. The traits of each child, in what is now known as the FAYZ, are intensified when the adults and older children disappear. These types of personality explosions made the story more entertaining and exciting. It helped to enhance the overall plot and antagonistic conflict between the characters.

Sam is the type of child most parents wish they could raise. He may not realize it, but he’s a born leader who others can’t help but follow. I remember these types of individuals from my adolescence, and they’re the ones who go on into adulthood and become successful. If Sam ever realizes how much power over others he truly wields, he’ll be an unstoppable hero and I cannot wait to see what he can achieve in his life.

While Sam makes an excellent hero, Caine and Drake make excellent antagonists. Caine and Drake’s personalities complement one another perfectly. Caine is methodical, charismatic, and cunning, while Drake is psychotic and dangerous. Just like any set of bullies, they can’t even trust each other. This creates a compelling twist to the conflicts within the story, which of course makes it that much more entertaining.

There are a few words in this story that may be inappropriate for younger children. Additionally, because it involves bullies there are some situations that may seem offensive such as when a child is called a “retard”. While some may not agree with this term, it truly does help in understanding the psychology of the children involved in the story.

This is only the first of many stories about the FAYZ and I plan on continuing the series with my daughter. I know my daughter wishes there were a movie coming out because she would love to see it, but we’ll have to be satisfied by reading the next story.

With the legions of the underworld gathering and chaos close at hand, Sorcerer Declan O’Hara’s deadly skills will be tested. But nothing will sway him from his duty…

Rescued from eternal darkness, vampire Ana DeLacrux owes her life to a mysterious stranger who asks for only one thing—her absolute allegiance. She serves this master without question until Declan, the one man who can make her forget her vow, returns. His magic is stronger, darker…more compelling than ever. His blood awakens a hunger she must resist, or risk deadly consequences.

As Ana and Declan join forces, the streets of New Orleans become a dangerous place for both humans and the otherworld. And the most dangerous place of all is a road Declan’s traveled before…the wicked road to hell.

Vampires and demons and magic, oh my! If you couldn’t get enough of the remarkable world that author Juliana Stone created with the jaguar books, then fear not! Wicked Road to Hell is the beginning of a spin off from those previous books, and it is darker, sexier and more enchanting than before.

Those who have read the books from the jaguar series may remember Ana, the vampire. Here she is front and center for her own story feature. She’s been to hell and back (literally, and all the while I kept humming the music from a Rodney Atkins country song: If You’re Going Through Hell) Even without the fact that she’s a vampire, Ana is fierce, mighty and tough. She’s a heroine that I wouldn’t want to cross. The type of woman you’d want on your side if things were to ever be troublesome. Despite the rough edges, though, Ana does have a good heart and is willing to help. The sparks surely fly when she’s around Declan, that’s for sure.

Declan is also another previous character getting his own story. What a surprise for him when he sees Ana after thinking she’s dead and gone. Declan is also a strong character. He’s a hero to swoon over. He takes many risks, but he’s a fighter and believer in his causes.

The world in the League of Guardians is impressive. I like how the author created it, and there are many paranormal creatures that are a part of it. So far I have only read the first book in the jaguar series, and I felt like I was missing a lot of things that must have happened in book two and three. So if you’re the kind that reads series in order, then before reading Wicked Road to Hell, you may want to read His Darkest Hunger, His Darkest Embrace, and His Darkest Salvation.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. The plot is filled with adventure, the love scenes are hot and filled with sexual tension. I won’t hesitate to pick up more books from this paranormal author. If you enjoy darker romances set in contemporary times, then be sure to keep Ms. Stone on your list.

Bailey, the crime reporter for the tabloid Buzz, just goes to have a fun weekend at a country house party, since she’s feeling neglected by her significant other. When the honoree of the party ends up dead, Bailey’s inquisitiveness is not welcomed.

This is not the usual “who done it” mystery. Nobody even wants to believe it was “done”. They want to believe it was just a natural death. But Bailey, with her instincts and experience, doesn’t buy the idea of death due to an eating disorder and thereby ruffles feathers in high places.

A Scottish Love is a book impossible to put down once started. Ms. Ranney’s novel hooked me from the start and kept me interested and engaged with the characters even after I’d reached ‘The End’

The story has two clear main characters: Shona and Gordon. From the first page, I felt the tension and the attraction between them. As the story develops, their feelings unfold, past mistakes are brought to light and the characters begin a path of growth and improvement.

Shona reminded me a lot of Margaret Mitchell’s character, Scarlett O’Hara. Like Scarlett, Shona faces many hardships in life. She is a woman who does what needs to be done to get through and she does it without shedding a tear even though she’s dying inside. Shona is frustrated, sad, and lonely, but she holds back her tears. I am not so strong and more than one tear seeped through my eyes at her circumstances. Gordon is much like Shona. Strong when he needs to be strong, charming, handsome, and a good man altogether, but like Shona he has a major flaw which keeps him away from happiness: his pride. Too much pride on both characters’ part creates setbacks both in their lives and in their relationships. Gordon is better at hiding his pride, and is perhaps not even aware, that he shares the same amount of pride she does. Shona on the other hand, is prideful through and through and that hinders her and keeps her away from Gordon and away from happiness. Besides their pride, both characters are also terribly stubborn. It was extremely frustrating. More than once, I felt like locking them up in a room and not letting them out until they solved their issues.

Throughout the story emotions run raw, painting a vivid picture of hurt and pain between the characters. It was excruciating to read through each of their encounters and their past and hope for them to reunite; that one of them would give in to the love that was so palpable between them.

Finally, it is important to mention the other interweaving stories that play throughout the novel. Craft fully introduced, snippets of past ghosts tell the tragic tale of the Weeping Ghost and the Piper. Woven into the story, Shona’s brother Fergus and the nurse Elizabeth also find love and demonstrate that if you’re willing, love doesn’t have to be as bittersweet as Shona’s and Gordon’s (though Fergus and his nurse also go through their share of pain).

With memorable characters, a bittersweet story that captivates your heart and leaves behind a message of hope (mistakes can be fixed), A Scottish Love is a book worth reading time and time again.

After one look at Annabel, Christian knows that he must possess her. There is something about her that calls to the real Christian, and not this man he has had to become.

This was a wonderful book and it was a pleasure to read. The characters were really well thought out and the story line moved at a nice, believable pace that really worked with the time period of this tale. I would have liked to see how things turned out for Christian and Annabel after the wedding, i.e. babies, Dinah’s coming out party, etc. But outside of those possible hanging details (which could make for a follow up story to this book) I truly enjoyed this read. I have read Laurie Lee Guhrke before and this book just reaffirms my thoughts that she is an author to follow and that nothing of hers will disappoint a reader. This is a book that would be great to reread and recommend with friends looking for a new author.

Three young heirs, imprisoned by an unscrupulous uncle, escaped—to the sea, to the streets, to faraway battle—awaiting the day when they would return to reclaim their birthright.

Sebastian Easton always vowed he would avenge his stolen youth and title. Now back in London, the rightful Duke of Keswick—returning from battle a wounded, hardened, changed man—cannot forget the brave girl who once rescued him and his brothers from certain death.

Lady Mary Wynne-Jones paid dearly for helping the imprisoned young Lords of Pembrook, and she remembers well the promise she made to Sebastian all those years ago: to meet him once more in the abbey ruins where they shared a bold, forbidden kiss. While Mary is now betrothed to another, a friendship forged with dark secrets cannot be ignored. Unexpected passion soon burns dangerously between them, tempting Sebastian to abandon his quest for retribution and fight for a love that could once again set him free.

Lorraine Heath’s, She Tempts the Duke is a remarkable tale of a young friendship that stands the test of time and circumstance and transforms into a riveting love story. I was unable to put this book down until I had read the last page, it had a tortured hero, a tenacious and loyal heroine and an incredible love story that captivated me.

Ms. Heath’s prologue to this story sets up the premise of this book beautifully while hooking her readers in right of way. We are introduced to the three lords of Pembrook during their escape for their lives, with the help of courageous twelve-year-old Mary Wynne-Jones, their neighbor. Skip ahead a dozen years and the boys are now grown up and have returned to reclaim their birthright — more specifically, Sebastian and the title of Duke of Keswick — and to get retribution from the uncle who wanted them dead so he could claim the title.

Sebastian Easton has returned to London to claim his birthright as the Duke of Keswick, however he has not returned as a civilized gentleman. He has been to war and has the scars both physically and emotionally to show for it. Sebastian has lost his left eye and the left side of his face is scarred and mutilated. Sebastian believes that no woman could love him, but he must find a wife and produce an heir. He did not anticipate his feelings of lust for his childhood friend Mary who is engaged to another man. Mary has grown up and become a very beautiful woman and a temptation Sebastian is finding harder and harder to resist.

Lady Mary Wynne-Jones is a character with courage, strength and grace. We are first introduced to Mary as a brave girl of twelve who rescues the Easton brothers from the tower where they are being kept. She manages to free the lords of Pembrook and they escort her home and then flee into the night. Mary has not forgotten the three boys she rescued that fateful night and fears they have died after not receiving word from any of them in the years since that fateful night. Chemicals that contained in cigarette smoke cialis prescription leads to permanently reduce sperm count due to an undetermined cause. While attending the ball being given by the treacherous uncle of the boys she saved, everything changes; the Lords of Pembrook crash the party. Mary is shocked by their return, and hurt that they did send her word of their survival. Mary is engaged to be married; however, with the return of Sebastian into her life she begins to question her choice of husband and what her feelings toward Sebastian mean.

Lorraine Heath has created a beautiful, romantic tale of two people who have survived years of being apart physically but were always in each other’s hearts as childhood friends. After being reunited, Mary and Sebastian discover that their friendship has changed into something so much greater. The two fated lovers each take a journey of self discovery in this scintillating story to learn what they want from one another and what that means to their budding relationship.

She Tempts the Duke is very well written, using the point of view of both the hero and the heroine. The story flowed well and kept me interested and anticipating the next event.

I was very impressed with how Ms. Heath created a regency novel that isn’t bogged down with constant references to the “Ton”, but uses its existence to bring her characters together with its infernal societal rules. The dialogue was well written and realistic giving each character a distinctive voice in the story. The main characters were well rounded individuals that made me sense their emotions and struggles throughout the unfolding events. Ms. Heath also gave her readers insight into the secondary characters, specifically Sebastian’s brothers, Tristan and Rafe, giving her readers a little foreshadowing into their stories. Overall this was a great Regency romance complete with treachery, intrigue and a climactic ending.

I am a discriminating regency romance reader, depending on the story and the author’s writing style; I either hate or love them and I loved this one and intend to go looking for more by Ms. Heath. I also eagerly await Rafe’s and Tristan’s stories.

If you enjoy regency romances that are well written and have characters that will pull at your heartstrings, run out and get She Tempts the Duke, you will fall in love with the Lords of Pembrook and their struggles to return to “Polite Society”.
