For the first time in her life, Hedley Sinclair holds the keys to her own future. She’s inherited the crumbling Greyson Park, but the disrepair does nothing to dissuade her. No one will ever lock her up again or attempt to take away what’s hers. No one except Rafe Danvers—the charming, fiendish man from Fallow Hall. He’s determined to claim Greyson Park, but if Hedley isn’t careful, he’ll claim her heart as well.

Rafe has every intention of ridding Greyson Park of the conniving Sinclairs once and for all. The last thing he expects is to find the beguiling Hedley—the younger sister of his former fiancée—standing in his way. With drastic measures called for, he plans to marry her off in order to regain control of the estate. The only trouble is, he can’t seem to stop seducing her. Even worse, he can’t help falling in love with her.

Your physical, sexual, mental professional cialis 20mg and emotional health are the reason we’re here. sildenafil tablets uk Long years of marriage will ultimately lead to familiarity. viagra soft tablet The medical experts explain that men who have the practice of intaking watermelon juice have found a significant improvement in their sexual execution, totally overlooking that baffling diagnosis. Keeping cialis tab the current scenario of finance and growing expenses in mind it is an obvious recommendation to be a smart buyer when it comes to buying qualityequipmments. Stubborn, courageous and full of spit and vinegar, that describes my initial impression of the heroine, Hedley. She has an unusual name which had the unfortunate side effect of triggering a Blazing Saddles memory. But once I got to know her, all those silly thoughts disappeared as the cleverness and fortitude she exhibited in dealing with her predicament took center stage. She’s a worthy heroine. She’s also no match for a determined matchmaking canine.

Poor Rafe, the hero; he has such a thorn in his side, a chip on his shoulder, all from his treatment by the Sinclair family. It’s rightly earned, so imagine his surprise, and my delight, that the woman who makes his libido go out of control is a dreaded Sinclair. He is so determined to resist her, except, he can’t. The more time he spends with her, the more shocked he becomes, both from what he learns about her and his own reactions. Ms. Lorret truly has written a story that embraces all the most wonderful aspects of romance with Rafe and Hedley as a couple.

This is the second book in the Rakes of Fallow Hall series yet this is a solid standalone read. The overall story arc is the wager between three men. I haven’t read the first book in the series and never once did I feel the lack. This is a fun and entertaining novel all on its own.

There’s humor, witty and fascinating dialogue, and just the right amount of emotional drama to keep a reader engaged page after page. The seduction scenes between Rafe and Hedley are spicy enough to keep a fan nearby just in case. My absolute favorite extravagant and romantic gesture comes from Rafe, he creates something that is so beautiful and unique that the heroine can’t help but believe with all her heart that he truly loves her. It’s actually quite swoon-worthy.

The villains of the piece, the external conflict, actually come from Hedley’s own family. Wow, did Ms. Lorret create some effective despicable characters! I would have turned into a harridan/banshee on Hedley’s behalf. In no way could I have resisted wanting to throttle them for the very act of speaking. Hear me growl.

The Devilish Mr. Danvers should not be missed by readers who enjoy Cinderella themed stories. This one does it justice because this time, the heroine has an active champion to woo and care for her, and through him, others of power who have her back. There are plenty of occasions to cheer for Hedley and Rafe and I encourage historical romance fans to not miss out. Grab a copy and enjoy the ride.

Every girl dreams of a hero….

No one loves books more than Miss Mary Channing. Perhaps that’s why she’s reached the ripe old age of six-and-twenty without ever being kissed. Her future may be as bland as milk toast, but Mary is content to simply dream about the heroes and adventures she reads about in her books. That way she won’t end up with a villain instead.

But sometimes only a scoundrel will do.

But, remember, exercise can improve your mind but you still better study for that big test or to learn the way to express themselves and what is on their minds with other people, and that can be got by order purchase generic viagra. When she unexpectedly finds herself in the arms of Geoffrey Westmore, London’s most notorious scoundrel, it feels a bit like a plot from one of her favorite novels. Suddenly, Mary understands why even the smartest heroines can fall prey to a handsome face, and Westmore’s is more handsome than most. But far worse than the damage to her reputation, the moment’s indiscretion uncovers an assassination plot that reaches to the highest levels of society and threatens the course of the entire country.

When a tight-laced miss and a scoundrel of epic proportions put their minds together, nothing can stand in their way. But unless they put their hearts together as well, a happy ending is anything but assured.

How does a young lady’s innocent trip to a library end up having her embroiled in a torrid affair and political intrigue? Only Mary, avid book reader of mysteries and other odd subjects, could have such a thing happen to her. The heroine embarks on her own adventure that surpasses anything she’s ever read, and her life will be the better for it, if she survives.

Ms. McQuiston has penned a marvelous story of intrigue, scandal, romance and adventure. The plot development is woven in a diabolical way and is directly tied to a couple of instances of light seduction and clandestine meetings between Mary and Geoffrey Westmore. West is a rake, a drunk and a wastrel, or so a reader is lead to believe in the beginning.

Here’s the thing – West is actually suffering from what we now call PTSD – and it plays an intriguing and pivotal role in the novel. I liked how the author used the hero to illustrate the many ways in can manifest in a person’s life. It provided excellent conflict and an effective means of connecting and being sympathetic to the hero.

Introverts can possibly relate to Mary because of her absolute love of books and her preference for a secluded garden amongst flowers to while away the time while immersed in a good mystery. I enjoyed watching the heroine emerge from her bookish solitude and into life. I was greatly entertained while watching Mary find out just how different a real life adventure is compared to what was written. Some of those revelations were shocking, amusing, or downright sexy.

The overall plot conflict, the ‘deadly conspiracy’, was a convincing motivation for the drama and momentum of the story and the author orchestrated it perfectly. It also served to showcase just how smart and clever Mary really was, and it provided West with the incentive to finally shake off his profligate ways and become the man he was meant to be. Watching the two of them become better, stronger people because of their being together was quite satisfying and romantic. I really believed that Mary and West were perfect for each other and their chemistry and combustibility when they were together proved it. That, of course, made reading The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel an even better read.

The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel has a story to tell that’s so fun that it makes a reader lose track of time. I can’t even truly impress upon a reader just how much I enjoyed myself as I watched West and Mary fall in love. Even the last final sentence that Ms. McQuiston wrote had me closing the book with a huge grin. Should a reader cheat and skip to the last sentence for a peek, they won’t understand the significance of that statement unless they’d read the whole book. It has MEANING. And, it’s wonderful, saucy and full of pure hope and optimism. Pick up your own copy of The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel and see for yourself why I thought this book so awesome.

Aidan is running from his past, and doesn’t want to let a woman get too close . . . until Gina and her little boy show him how satisfying family can be.

I was so excited to read Diamond in the Rough because the heroine was a scrapbooker and owned her own store. The characters were believable, lovable, and the suspense was enough to keep the pages turning.

I really enjoyed passing my time with the story because it had a clever plot. However, as with all good books, you hate for it to come to an end, especially when the book ended with a surprise twist that I never saw coming.

For readers who are more about the story than the sex, Diamond in the Rough is mostly sensual with one scene tipping it over into the spicy zone. There’s no doubt the chemistry between Aiden and Gina works.

For all the strong aspects of the story, the rocky but interesting relationship between the heroine and hero, the suspense about the ranch thieves and the romance, there are a few things that prevented this story from being a really good book.

This novel felt like it was rushed, almost like the author had met her quota of required pages and had to quickly end it. There were loose subplot threads left unresolved that left me with more questions than answers, and my expectations of getting to know the hero and heroine a lot more were not met. I felt the storyline could have been more developed than what it was. I was a bit disappointed because I really liked most of the book and wanted to know more about what motivated Aiden and Gina than what the story delivered.

I would definitely recommend reading Diamond in the Rough to a reader who is looking to pass a couple of hours. It’s not the best book ever, but there’s enough entertainment value that made me glad I read it.

This the beginning of a cozy mystery series and it’s a very good start. The author gives you interesting characters, builds lot of quirks in and even throws a bit romance in for good measure. It’s not a long but a lot happens and you will sit in one place until you’ve finished the story. It’s too much fun to read to leave it.

When Rawlings grandfather suddenly decides he must get married and have children NOW, it makes the story all that much more interesting. Especially since the ghost doesn’t like and pinches the bottoms of the ladies his grandfather is interviewing. Then word gets out that they have a ghost. There is a ghost. Rawlings has one at his house, too. This story is fanciful but its great fun to read. I’ll be watching for the one in this series. In a world where gods and demons walk the earth, a pirate attack on a seaside village tears Luna away from the safe life she has known. Forced together against their wills, their attraction and mutual admiration grow with each hurdle they overcome. Although their relationship is forbidden, the strength of their desire just might override all obstacles, including their pasts and the dark forces that conspire against them.

I really enjoyed Saved by the Demon by Ela Stein. It was an original, lightly erotic, romantic-adventure.

Ms. Stein’s writing flowed easily so that I quickly immersed myself into the Steampunk-fantasy world she created. Furthermore, her descriptions were vivid, so that I truly felt as if I were there with the characters.

The two main characters, Luna and Dario, are well rounded, with different, yet similar pasts full of conflict.

Luna, the main character, was a bit naive at times, but made up for it with a good dose of bravery and inner strength.

Dario, on the other side, has a dark side to him, but he is nothing short of sweet. His struggles between what his mind dictates him compared to his heart (and body), made me fall in love with him. He is a true gentleman.

Although, Saved by the Demon is a long novel, Ms. Stein was capable of building the anticipation between the characters. As a matter a fact,, one of my favorite scenes is when Luna and Dario finally share their first kiss. It’s worth mentioning, that when sex does occur it is a mix between oh-so-hot and sweet.

This is such an amazing world that I will be on the lookout in case Ms. Stein decides to revisit it, as the ending left me feeling as if there could be a promise of more adventures to come.

Three years later, she remains angry and alientated from her parents, especially her father…until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story of love on many levels–first love, love between parents and children — that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that love can break our hearts…and heal them.

This story, like the other books of his I’ve read, is peppered with wonderful characters who feel like real people that I got to know and cheer for. In this case it’s Ronnie and her father Steve. Steve left the family and Ronnie’s never forgiven him. However, fate intervenes and she and her younger brother go and spend a summer with him in North Carolina.

Ronnie is a most a troubled soul, getting in with the wrong crowd during her first week there, having words with her father, and also meeting a young man who will play a significant role in her future.

The story pulled in and I soon learned something about Steve that brought tears to my eyes (no, I won’t give away the plot). What begins as a cold relationship between father and daughter blossoms into something beautiful and told in a way that only this author can pull it off. And did I mention the setting? So beautifully described that I felt I was there on the beach and in the house that Steve lived in and just a step away from the ocean with all its sights, sounds and smells.

If you like stories about families, forgiveness and love, and like a good cry when you read a book, I’d say definitely give The Last Song a try.

After spending his youth as one of the wildest rakes in the ton, Lord Denys Somerton has devoted the past six years to putting his past behind him. He is determined to fulfill his duties, find a suitable wife, and start a family, but that plan changes when Lola Valentine—the red-haired temptress from his past—returns to London, sparking the same irresistible desires that almost ruined his life once before.

Lola is a woman with no romantic illusions. She knew love would never be enough for a British lord and an American girl from the wrong side of the tracks. For Denys’s sake, she walked away from him and the glittering life he offered. But when an unexpected inheritance brings her back to London, Lola discovers the passion between them is as hot as ever. Can they vanquish it, or will it burn out of control again and destroy them both?

No Mistress of Mine is a beautifully written story. Its topic is very complex and it takes a great writer to shape it in an interesting cliché less story. Laura Lee Guhrke did just that.

This is the fourth installment in the series An American Heiress in London. It is a story of Lord Denys Somerton and Lola Valentine (real name Charlotte Valinsky). Lord Denys Somerton is a son of an earl and member of the ton, while Lola was a dancer in a Paris when they first met. Their upbringings, their social status, their lives were completely different. But they fell in love (and lust) and became lovers. Only one day after a huge disappointment and a few realizations, Lola decided to leave Lord Denys without revealing the true reasons behind her decision. Fast forward six years and Lola is back in town. To make matters worse for Lord Denys, who decides to marry into his own social circle, Lola is his business partner now. So they are brought together again and they have to find common ground in order to cooperate and work together.

The way Laura Lee Guhrke builds the story is magnificent. Especially since it’s set in 1892 England, a time when social status played a great role in a person’s life and when people rarely married outside their class. The conflict and especially the resolution are done perfectly and believable. I enjoyed reading how Lord Denys and Lola fall in love again. The tension between them is so palpable and their rediscovered passion is so strong.

Lola and Lord Denys are amazing characters. Both his and her individual heartaches are painful. But my hearts goes to Lola a bit more because she had such a horrible childhood and she was forced to grow up quickly in order to take care of herself. She is one of those great, bold, brave and strong female characters that I like a lot and I cheered for her from the very beginning.

The only thing that this story can do without is love making scenes. They seem forced to me, like they are put in the story because they have to be there. Both of them occur near the end of the story. I understand their purpose, but I strongly believe that the story would be just fine without them. No Mistress of Mine is a story is about second chances, overcoming fears, letting go of the past only to finally be able to commit to love in the present, and attraction between characters is unmistakable even without love making scenes.

No Mistress of Mine
is such an emotionally deep story that is worth reading. I highly recommend it to readers who prefer romance novels in general and historical novels in particular.

Convicted murderer Melvin Mars is counting down the last hours before his execution—for the violent killing of his parents twenty years earlier—when he’s granted an unexpected reprieve. Another man has confessed to the crime.

Amos Decker, newly hired on an FBI special task force, takes an interest in Mars’ case after discovering the striking similarities to his own life: Both men were talented football players with promising careers cut short by tragedy. Both men’s families were brutally murdered. And in both cases, another suspect came forward, years after the killing, to confess to the crime. A suspect who may or may not have been telling the truth.

The confession has the potential to make Melvin Mars—guilty or not—a free man. Who wants Mars out of prison? And why now?

David Baldacci has been writing for years now and every one of his books is suspenseful, tense and has unexpected consequences. This one is no exception.

Melvin is going to be exonerated and set loose. His attorney says that she will sue the prison for the attempted murder of Melvin before he leaves the facility. He’s glad. He’s been in jail for twenty years and has no idea what to do for living when they let him out. It seems someone still thinks he should be dead. It’s a good thing Amos Decker has taken on his case. He thinks this guy confessing is a bit over the top but he’s not sure Melvin is guilty. He’s going to find out though.

Amos is an intriguing character. He has a faultless memory, sees colors (blue means death), and he’s driven to accomplish his goals. He won’t stop until he gets to the truth of the matter. That means he and Melvin are in danger.

Amos’ mind is dangerous. He keeps working the pieces of the puzzle in his head and puts together facts from the stories people tell him. Sometimes my head feels too full of facts. Amos just jugs ahead and sorts while driving or sitting in his room. This time, though, he’s playing with the big fish in the pond. It’ll be hard to come out ahead.

You wonder if Melvin will live long enough to be free, you question who is telling the truth, and the more the background and story start to come clear, the worse it is. If you start this book, you won’t stop until you’ve read the last page. Mr. Baldacci grabs you around the throat and starts throwing words in. You have to know how it turns out.

The first thing needed to be said is that this definitely can be categorized as a stand alone book. I have yet to read the first and second book in the series and I wasn’t confused at all. The story is about a boss, his employee and their attraction and the ensuing circumstances that put them together. Talk about hot! Holy moly, it’s steamy!

Kelsey and Nathan are different from each other but somehow when they got together they were the perfect couple. Nathan is a lot of things–including a Dom. He knows what he wants and takes it. No one tells this boss no. When he realizes his new employee signed for the BDSM club he co-owns, he wants her to himself. Like I said, he doesn’t take no for an answer.

From there starts a relationship, somewhat hectic because of their professional relationship, but that part just showed more of the characters to me–like how much independent Kelsey is or how dedicated Nathan is. The love he has not only for his business but for the family as well shined right through.

This is a steamy read that should not be missed.

This book is the last of a trilogy and is the culmination of action that occurred during the first two books – the end of a war that has been raging between two different worlds. While it would probably increase your enjoyment of the book to have read the previous two books, it’s not completely necessary.  There’s character development and responses between the characters from this book that starts in the previous books, but this one was still enjoyable and understandable as it stands.

I did not get as fully immersed in the story as I would have liked, but instead I felt more like I was on the outside looking in.  That’s a result of the story having too much “telling” and not enough “showing”. That said, I enjoyed the story itself and could definitely see this as a television show or movie. It reminded me in tone of some of the space operas I’ve enjoyed in the past.

The plot line was interesting and held my attention, even though I did not connect with the characters as much as I’d hoped—it would be interesting to this reader to go back and discover what the war was actually all about in the beginning.
