As a little girl, Daisy Appleby was killed in a school bus crash. Moments after the accident, she was brought back to life.

A secret government agency has developed a drug called Revive that can bring people back from the dead, and Daisy Appleby, a test subject, has been Revived five times in fifteen years. Daisy takes extraordinary risks, knowing that she can beat death, but each new death also means a new name, a new city, and a new life. When she meets Matt McKean, Daisy begins to question the moral implications of Revive, and as she discovers the agency’s true goals, she realizes she’s at the center of something much larger — and more sinister — than she ever imagined.

Thanks to a top secret program, some people don’t just have one life to live anymore….It’s the aid of Revive, an organization that has helped casualties come back; but being revived comes with a price..

Daisy, fifteen, has died numerous times. She’s accident prone, and can’t seem to stay out of death’s grip. Of course, Revive keeps her coming back, but in that instance, it means her life in the town she lives in is over. Time to pack up and move on. Never bother getting used to people, or getting to know then, for one wrong move can lead to another town.

This time it’s Nebraska. Things are different here. She begins making friends. Daisy gets a glimpse of what a teenager’s normal life could be. She befriends Audrey, and crushes on Audrey’s brother, Matt. For once, Daisy feels at home. She allows herself to get attached.

From the outside, it would seem as if Daisy is a normal teenager with teenage issues, but Revived has stripped any sense of normalcy. We get glimpses of life in Daisy’s eyes, and the intriguing premise of this book panned out into a thought provoking story. I couldn’t put it down! The concept of this story grabbed a hold of my attention and hogged it like a child does a favorite toy! Revived is filled with a mix of science fiction, first time teenage love, and facing the real tragedy of death. The characters are moving, and the plot’s twists and turns create a riveting read. The author is surely one to watch in the young adult sci/fi world.

This book is suitable for both young adults and adults just the same. If I may, I recommend this enchanting book to readers! Don’t miss Revived!

The World on the Brink of Disaster

In Books One (The Caves of Etretat) and Two (The Four Books of Etretat), Paul Sirenne is led to discover a complex of hidden caves in the cliffs of Etretat, France. Chased by an immortal serial killer, and assisted by the Abbey, a thousand-year old organization, Sirenne, becoming an immortal himself, is given control of the caves, to prepare for an ultimate confrontation against the Greyman, the oldest immortal on earth. Taken by surprise, Sirenne and the complex of caves barely survive an attack by American mercenaries.

In Book Three, the world is in chaos. Countless disasters are occurring everywhere and a pandemic disease is killing all children in the womb. People and countries, desperate for a solution, are demanding Sirenne’s immortality cure. Sirenne knows it’s not the true answer and is desperately trying to solve the clues laid out by Maurice Leblanc and the Abbey, looking for the One Book. Changed by his immortality, he develops new senses which give him an increasingly different perspective on everything he sees. At the same time, all events seem to be converging on him. Weissmuller, the immortal serial killer is circling closer and closer.

‘The One Book of Etretat’ is the third in a four-book epic adventure following Paul Sirenne, an average man unknowingly manipulated into becoming the key in the final phase of a complex conspiracy spanning millennia. Inextricably woven into history, the series re-writes everything we know in a non-stop rollercoaster of a ride where nothing is ever as it seems.

The Sirenne Saga Continues

The end of the world is at hand. Can Paul find the answers he needs before it is too late?

There is nothing ordinary about Paul any more. His powers, as well as Raymonde’s, have developed at an incredible rate due to the fact that their immortality is genetic rather than simply induced by the spores in the caves. Their connection is more powerful than ever and together they can undertake amazing mental and physical accomplishments. As the world falls apart around them, Paul and Raymonde are burdened with the seemingly impossible tasks of saving the world and destroying the Greyman, an evil presence that has been tormenting humanity since the beginning of time. Their new found abilities are perfectly suited to the challenges they face, and I have complete faith in their abilities.

Weissmuller’s sections are an even bigger part of this story than they were in The Four Books of Etretat. His reflections go clear up to the present and are just as troubling as ever as he recounts the atrocities he’s committed. Even more disturbing is the fact that Weissmuller’s involvement in Paul’s life extends much farther back than the murder of Paul’s parents. He has been in the shadows very close to Paul for years. As Weissmuller’s reflections began to record more recent history, it became clear that Weissmuller was someone that Paul knew, or thought he knew. Once I realized this, I had a strong suspicion as to who Weissmuller was masquerading as. Even though I was pretty sure I knew the answer, the impact was still crushing when everything was revealed. I could only imagine how Paul was going to take the news.

Even though I was saddened to learn Weissmuller’s current identity, I must admit that this is a character that, for whatever reason, I never really warmed too. Looking back, my misgivings are completely understandable even if I couldn’t exactly put my finger on the reason why I felt that way. Also, the tension between Weissmuller’s outward persona and a certain other favorite character of mine make even more sense now than they did the in the previous books.

When Weissmuller revealed himself to Paul, I was very surprised by Paul’s reaction, or more specifically, his lack of reaction. I expected him to be far more devastated. However, Paul was in a high pressure situation at the time, so perhaps the full impact of what Weissmuller has done hasn’t truly sunk in yet. I’m very curious as to how Paul will proceed with his new found knowledge in the final book of the series.

I also particularly like the sections concerning Norton, the ill-fated inspector from The Caves of Etretat. In the first book, Norton simply appeared to be a once brilliant inspector driven to insanity by his single minded pursuit of the Shadow Killer (Weissmuller). In this story, Norton’s tragic history is explained in greater detail as well as how Weissmuller systematically drove Norton down the path of madness. I truly felt sorry for Norton. He was a good man who didn’t deserve anything that Weissmuller did to him. These sections coupled with Weissmuller’s reflections gave me a much greater understanding of the people and events in this mystery.

O’Flanahan, who is still my favorite secondary character, is “missing” at the end of this book. O’Flanahan didn’t figure into this book as much as he had in the first two. When the world began to erupt into chaos and the caves were evacuated, he manages to evade Weissmuller’s grasp. It isn’t clear what happened to him, but I’m holding out hope that the bold and brash O’Flanahan will make an appearance in the final installment.

The One Book of Etretat left me breathless. So many pieces of the puzzle were revealed in this story that I literally couldn’t read it fast enough. Anyone wanting to enjoy this thrilling adventure absolutely must read the previous two books in the series first. Now that I know even more about the caves, their history, and Weissmuller’s involvement, I simply must know how it all ends. I will be reading the final book in the series as soon as I can get my hands on it. Anyone who has had a taste of the caves and their secrets is sure to feel the same.

When an act of fate results in the world’s first pregnant man, swollen feet are the least of his problems!

Tory Beecham-Todd is fed up with being taken for granted. When will she have time to accomplish her goals and live her dreams? Her husband Dillon has it easy. He has only one job, while she’s a college student, part-time law clerk, and full-time mother to their daughter with another child on the way.

Now Dillon’s ambition to buy into the restaurant business consumes all of his time and threatens her plans to enter law school. Doesn’t he realize she needs his help? Tory wishes Dillon could experience her life firsthand. Maybe then he’d understand…

When her offhand wish is granted, Tory and Dillon struggle to regain their lives. Only a mutual understanding will change them back, but will they reach it before it’s too late?

If you remember the movie, Freaky Friday, about the mother and daughter switching bodies and its remake, then you’ll have an idea of the premise of this story. That is the only similarity because in this clever and unique book, the author took the idea and created a hysterically funny yet insightful plot that makes the movie look tame and shallow. Blame It on the Baby has a lot to offer a reader who looks for depth of character and an entertaining storyline.

The first thing the author did was set up the atmosphere. Once Ms. Archer was done, I was fully aware that, although the heroine and hero truly loved each other, life’s pressures from their professional lives were about to submarine what otherwise was a very strong marriage. The author’s insight into how a man’s thinking process differs from a female’s was crucial and it’s that clarity of understanding that made this novella shine.

Tory and Dillon were wonderful characters. I was impressed by the author’s ability to get into their heads and help a reader understand their inner insecurities, dreams, wants, fears and aspirations. The thing of it is, both the hero and heroine had valid points. There wasn’t a truly conscious selfish intention from either of them. That being said, a man can only understand his point of view and a woman hers. No matter how well they communicate, there will always be things left unsaid because they either don’t know how to say it, are mistakenly trying to protect the other and left things unsaid, or totally clueless that something should be mentioned. Throw in life’s little stresses and demands and it’s like throwing gasoline on a fire.

The paranormal element comes in through a very innocuous source. It’s never explained, it’s never explored; it just is. The crux of the plot is, will this freaky occurrence bring them closer or further apart?

In the beginning, I was a little stressed reading the book. I cringed a lot because I could feel their marriage strain and saw the possibility of it unraveling. I could also see how much of a tragedy that would be because Tory and Dillon were right for each other. Ms. Archer painstakingly set up the elements that would drive each character towards a greater understanding of what is was to be Dillon, the man, worker and husband, and to be Tory, mom, student and wife. Once that was done, then the humor kicked in.

Enter Joe. Once he came on scene, the tender gloves were off and hard hitting belly busting laughter ensued. I can’t even explain how hard I laughed but for a bit, I couldn’t catch my breath. The hilarity stems from Tory, in Dillon’s body, interacting with Joe, who is clueless of the switch. However, a woman is a woman no matter what body’s she’s in because it’s the brain and personality that makes a person do what they do. This is where understanding the differences between men and women came into the picture and Ms. Archer totally got it. The dialogue alone was enough to send me into a fit of giggles. The descriptions of Joe’s reactions to his assumptions and interpretations were comic genius. When Tory, as Dillon, had to deal with another woman coming on to her/him ended up being another great moment of the book.

Honestly, there are so many things that are worthy to share but every one would lead to spoilers and there’s no way I want to diminish the effect of this story for a reader. There’s power in the not knowing and a reader deserves the full enchilada of fun. I will say the happy ever after was completely satisfying and delightful.

Blame It on the Baby is a must read. There is no doubt in my mind that this book is going to appeal to any reader who is a diehard romantic at heart. A friend recommended that I read this and now I’m passing it on. This is a story not to be missed especially if a reader is having that kind of a day where a smile and a giggle are sorely needed. Reading Blame It on the Baby is the cure.

Matchmaker Grace Warner has enigmatic Seth and her cousin Jayne in her crosshairs. All she needs is an excuse to bring them together. Add in a Fourth of July celebration and a reunion with the Divine Creek Ranch family and what happens? Sparks fly!

Sparks Fly! is a sexy little romp that intimately reacquaints readers with all the beloved characters in the entire series and introduces Seth and Jayne, the main characters in the upcoming twelfth Divine Creek Ranch novel entitled His Tattooed Virgin.

Who doesn’t like fireworks on the Fourth of July?

Ms. Rainier aptly named her newest addition to the Divine Creek Series. The sparks fly not only in the sky but on the pages of this fun novel.

The book starts off with the series matriarch, Grace Warner and her equally sassy sister Charity, as they try to strong arm their cousin Jayne into joining the Independence Day activities. She is blissfully unaware of her cousins’ match making scheme, and decides to join in on the fun. While working, she bumps into, literally, the other victim in Cupid’s game, Seth. Sparks fly (see what I did there?) when these two collide and without any extra help.

The rest of the book touches base with all of the couples from the series. The author did a really great job of staying true to each couple or group as I saw where they are in their relationship after the foundations of each relationship that readers were originally introduced to have grown since their respective tales. I saw how married life is faring for most, the balance and compromise of having multiple partners, a big announcement for some, dealing with emotional issues for others, but two things stood true for everyone. One was the love that was expressed:  overwhelming and sweet, yet perfect. At times I worried that the love was going to ooze off the page and smother me, but Ms. Rainier has a wonderful ability of keep balance on the page. Which brings me to number two, sex. Lots and lots of wonderful, naughty, emotional, bonding, dirty sex. My personal favorite, and I am sure other fans as well, was the scene with Charity and her husband Justin. Two words: Viking marauder.

Again, the author did an excellent job of teasing us with the next pairing for the series and whetting our insatiable appetites for more of our favorites. I am eagerly anticipating Jayne and Seth’s story.

Getting his life back together is not an easy task for Clayton Jennings, a rodeo cowboy who was accidentally outed as gay in front of his fiancée. He finds himself alone, drunk, and beaten up on a daily basis.

Enter the knight in shining armor.

Jesse Brown, the sheriff of Snow Lake, rescues Clayton. Healing the man from the pain of physical wounds is one thing. Healing him from the hurt of self-loathing and sense of worthlessness is another. Jesse has his work cut out for himself if he means to save Clayton from his enemies—and himself.

The only way to do that is teach the cowboy who has lost everything to accept that maybe he’s not a charity case after all, but the object of a man’s desire, adoration, and love.

Sometimes knowing the difference between a strong hand and someone who intends to harm can be hard to differentiate. Clayton’s story helps display the difference between the two in a way that kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. Part of this is because I can see so many others stories in his.

Jesse cannot stand to watch Clayton continue to destroy his life, just because he feels as if he deserves to be punished. Jesse’s strength is awe inspiring and made me want to wrangle up the first cowboy I see. Even his silence says more than a ten page letter. Jesse’s willing to give Clayton what he needs, which may not always be what he or Clayton wants. His ability to see what’s needed and give it to Clayton was another characteristic that I envied. If more people had this ability, relationships would be much easier in real life.

With two completely different personalities, Clayton and Jesse’s story kept me mesmerized. I even enjoyed how their past played a role in their present. They had a unique connection that was evident from the beginning of the story, and made me want to learn more and more about them individually as well as together.

The supporting characters and additional subplots also kept the story entertaining. Whether it be the town bigot or the ex fiancé, it seems as if both men had plenty to deal with. This added an element to the story that helped to bring these characters together, as well as kept them apart at times. It created a more dynamic and realistic story line.

This is my first story of this series, but it most certainly will not be the last.

Star-crossed love, supernatural evil, and martial arts meet at the abandoned tracks in the deceptively quaint village of Middleburg . . .

When Ignacio Torrez moved from the rough streets of Los Angeles to a small town dead smack in the middle of nowhere, he never expected to find himself in the midst of a gang war. But, he soon learns, these are no ordinary gangs. The wealthy, preppie Toppers on one side of the tracks and the working-class Flatliners on the other adhere to a strict code of honor and use their deadly martial arts skills, taught to them by the wise Master Chin, to battle one another for pride, territory, and survival. When Raphael, leader of the Flatliners, falls forAimee, a Topper girl, the rival gangs prepare for a bloody, all-out war. The only hope for peace between them lies within the dark territory of the abandoned train tunnels where the tracks cross. Under the direction of the mysterious and frightening Magician, the awesome power within the crossing sends the rivals on a terrifying mystical quest to fight the malevolent force that threatens the existence of Middleburg-and quite possibly, the world.

This book, the first book of The Tracks series, is a paranormal Karate Kid meets West Side Story—but so much more. There is a mystery that surrounds the town of Middleburg—a mystery that goes back generations and involves more people than is apparent at the beginning of the book.

The story begins with Ingacio “Nass” Torres being brought to Middleburg from LA because his mother is concerned he will get into trouble with gangs. Little did she know that she was bringing him to an area that is right in the middle of a gang war—a war between the Toppers (wealthy and upper class) and the Flatliners.

The leaders of both groups were once best friends and train with the same teacher—and there’s more to Master Chin than meets the eye—as there are many of the characters in this book. Mystery surrounds the train graveyard. All the children know the warning:

Keep out of the railroad tunnels
And stay off the tracks
Don’t go into the train graveyard
Or the Middleburg Monster will break your backs.

Are there actually monsters in the Dark Territory—a section of train tracks not covered by signals—or is it only a tale created to scare children? Ask Aimee—a girl from the “right” side of the tracks who falls in love with the leader of the Flatliners.

The world building is extraordinary—detailed, layered, rich—as are the characters—a mysterious man who appears and disappears at will, a woman obsessed with tapestries, a girl who is not sure how she came to Middleburg, among many others.

The action scenes are drawn well enough that even readers not familiar with martial art movements can clearly see what’s going on and the strict code of honor both sides adhere to is a good lesson.

I’m looking forward to the next book in this series—there is still a lot of mystery to solve and a lot of history to uncover.

It’s double the trouble when two ornery cowboys come courtin’, Texas-style…

Lone Star Lovers, Book 6

Sam Logan’s hell-raising twin sons have a bad rep in Two Mule, Texas. All of it earned. When it becomes clear those two troublemakers won’t settle down without another nudge—make that a boot to their butts—Sam reissues his challenge. Find a wife.

There’s only one woman who’s ever held Mace and Jason Logan’s attention for more than one night. Molly Pritchet, their former teacher. She’s been too worried about a pesky morals clause to let them close, but they’re older now and ready to prove to her that some rules are meant to be broken.

Molly thought her path was clear: always a teacher, never a mother or a wife. Until she finds those two Logan “boys” in her backyard, all grown up and digging around in her business. More accurately, starting her koi pond for her without asking. Well, it’s about time someone taught the Logan twins some manners.

A little mud, a lot of yearnings she thought she’d suppressed, and Molly realizes she’s the one being schooled in the art of indulging in forbidden desires.

Who hasn’t had a crush on their teacher? This story takes the teacher-student scenario to another heat level!!!

Mace and Jason Logan have actually been in love with their teacher Miss Molly Pritchet since they first set eyes on her in high school. Molly, however, has stood her ground behind her virtuous moral stance and never let on that she is interested in the twins in the least. The twins were always getting into trouble when they were in school, but now eight years later, they are grownup, handsome men. Molly is only five years older than the twins, but has been stuck in her teacher mode and has forgotten how to be just a woman.

Molly is a very likeable woman who is dedicated to her profession and loyal to those she loves. The story does not go into much detail on what the twins do, possibly because they have been introduced in a previous book. I still enjoyed reading this story even though it is part of a series that I haven’t already been reading. Now I will have to go and look for the previous books to learn about all the other people of Two Mule, Texas. Two Wild for Teacher does work as a standalone read and I don’t regret reading it first.

The twins’ father made a suggestion to the twins about their future, so they decide that Molly needs to be a part of it. Things move very quickly for all of them when Mace and Jason’s courtship plan worked better than they expected. The chemistry between the characters worked so well that time just flew by and I arrived at the end of the story all too soon. The plot was simple, yet effective because the guys set out to do as their father wanted them to and they went about accomplishing the task. The lengths that they went to convincing Molly that they were serious about her were very endearing.

Ms. Devlin’s writing is so well done that the experience was seamless. I will definitely be looking for more of Ms. Devlin’s books for my “keeper shelf”. With the very interesting premise of the former teacher/student relationship and hot scenes that include gorgeous twin brothers, Two Wild for Teacher is highly recommended reading for a quick escape.

What would you do if you could see your future? Would you accept it or would you change it?

Mariah Davis loves animals, running, and her hunk of a boyfriend, Kevin Creamer. Everything looks bright for her until the day she finds a pair of sunglasses that allow her to see the future.

When she glimpses a disaster looming, she tries to avoid it but fails. She has a car accident that lands her in a wheelchair, smashing her hopes for a running scholarship to the veterinary program at Ohio State University. She pushes Kevin away, thinking he’ll want to end their relationship now that she can’t walk.

Will she ever learn to trust and love again? She could search for an answer in the sunglasses. But she’s afraid what they reveal might destroy her.

Suzanne Lilly’s ‘Shades of the Future’ is a quick trip into the most-happening lives in a small town ever.

Honey Creek seems normal enough, from the diner to the general location, the everyday folks as well as the teens, like Mariah Davis. Mariah’s an ordinary teen, isn’t she? She’s got goals – like running a marathon and getting into college. She’s not superstitious and she’s got some good friends. She’s got a perfectly good boyfriend. They all take part in raising funds for a benefit – all very contemporary. Life is far from boring too, as friend Hayley’s paranoia leads to moments of real suspense.

And then, quite accidentally, Mariah finds a pair of sunglasses.

Suddenly, everything changes. Mariah can see the future. Or, can she? All our doubts fly aside as Mariah’s own doubts increase. We readers feel a thrill of premonition ourselves when we hear Eulalie’s caution:

“When you start messing around with fortune telling and seeing the future, sooner or later you might see things you don’t want to know about.”

Is the future really ‘like a train coming?” That thought will recur as you read, and …there is just no putting this book down after that. Can Mariah see the future – and more importantly, can she change it? As events unfold, we realize this is not only an adventure for Mariah, but truly a personal journey.  Shades of the Future becomes the classic ‘page-turner’ early on and simply never lets go. It has light moments as well as dark moments. Subtle humor and casual conversation are as well presented as serious, life-altering moments.

Although the suspenseful part of this keeps you riveted, the characters continue to delight along the way. Hayley and Kevin and Granma and even dear old cook Eulalie are a few of a host of wonderful, complex characters. If I had one complaint it was that the author’s preoccupation with food just killed my diet (from the Elvis sandwich to the chocolate beet cake, not to mention the biscuits with gravy for breakfast).

The charming setting of Honey Creek is tangibly real and in some respects, so believable as to be an ‘everyday’ location; a spot where any of us might visit relatives…off the beaten track, but real. Its so charmingly rural you notice scents like honeysuckle drifting in the windows.

The story is unpredictable and surprising, has funny moments and wonderful characters. This is ultimately the coolest YA book I’ve ever read: You don’t have to be a teen to love this book!

Broken-hearted and alone, a retired Shakespearean actor sifts through the possessions of his dead love in a desperate attempt to keep his dreams of her alive. The discovery of a strange bottle containing the liquescent record of another human being—memories, feelings, experiences—gives Boris hope that another such bottle exists; one that contains the distilled essence of his lost Année. A desperate quest to posses her last thoughts will wrench him away from everything he has ever known to an alien world beyond the stars, where the human soul can be bottled, stored—and savored.

One of the most frustrating things about grieving the loss of a loved one is the finality of death. Over time I’ve forgotten small details about my deceased friends and family members- the sound of their laughter, for example, or what it felt like to slip into old conversational patterns with them. What if this didn’t have to occur, though? How would the act of grieving change if it was possible to bottle the essence of a human being and reawaken all of those seemingly inconsequential memories?

The nostalgia in Remember Me drapes over the narrative like a warm embrace. More than anything Boris wishes he could have more time with his Année. Boris’ sorrow is nuanced and at times comes out in surprising ways. I wasn’t expecting to sympathize with his experiences so deeply but this story followed the emotional roller coaster of grief so well that more than once I felt as if I was walking in Boris’ shadow.

In the beginning I wished readers could know more about what Boris and Année’s lives were like before her death. One scene made me wonder if Boris’s personality and habits changed dramatically after Année’s death. In a longer piece it would have made sense to explore this possibility in greater detail but perhaps a sequel will be written one day to explore Boris’s character in greater detail! The ending certainly lends itself to this possibility.

Remember Me is one of the most realistic snapshots of grief I have ever read. It’s a difficult experience to capture especially in the short story format but Ms. Bergmann did a beautiful job recreating the messy, sometimes complicated process of mourning.

Kiss the first man you see. The Fate Delivery Cards were a silly impulse purchase. But thanks to one of the Cards, bed-and-breakfast owner Hailey Sutherland finds herself locked in a scorching kiss with super-hot, wet-suit-clad navy SEAL Nate Peterson. It seems that fate is opposed to Hailey’s self-imposed celibacy….

Especially since Nate has picked up his own Fate Delivery Card–and he intends to follow it through… until Hailey is in his bed!

How can a woman, three times at almost getting to the altar, get over the fear that number four will fail like all the others have? Only a man determined and trained to reach the end game is up to the challenge and Nate, Navy SEAL and lover of cookies, is just the man for the mission.

I’m hard pressed to find anything that I didn’t like in this book. I found the first meeting between Hailey and Nate inspired, his pursuit of her romantic and fascinating, Hailey’s self-delusion entertaining and their sexy interludes blush-worthy.

I enjoyed their dialogue, both internal monologues and their conversational gambits as they learned about each other. I also appreciated the sibling relationship between Hailey and Rachel because Rachel wouldn’t let Hailey hide from her feelings. In her own sisterly way, she managed to prod the heroine into facing her true feelings while supporting her as Hailey muddled through this new and unexpected threat to her heart.

The addition of a secondary romance between Amy, a friend of both Hailey and Rachel, and her husband-to-be was a nice touch. Even if Hailey can’t figure out how to let go and risk her heart again, nothing was going to stop her from meddling and assisting someone else in getting their own happily ever after, and she’s got the perfect self-help book to do it. In fact, that was a very interesting side road to explore in this story. Seems Amy has some mixed-up ideas about sex and its role in a marriage. In addition, it’s nearly impossible to sleep in canadian viagra professional that much pain so a sleeping pill would be of some benefit too. The author did a nice job of weaving a little life lesson in there for women in real life. It wasn’t heavy handed by any means. Not only was it effective but it was fun, especially when Amy took control and let herself fly. Jake was a very happy man. And I was a very entertained reader.

As far as the conflict goes, it was a light one. SEALed and Delivered is a character driven romance with the plot being based on the hero and heroine ironing out their differences in what they wanted from and for each other, getting over a past, a dangerous job, a struggling family B & B and their own internal angst. There were no actual villains harmed in the telling of this tale — unless you count a deck of cards and the demolishing of innocent cookies.

SEALed and Delivered is an easy, breezy, steamy and delightful story that inspires hormones to hum and chuckles to break out. It’s a fantastic read for any time that a reader needs a book that explores the fun of falling in love. Ms. Monroe has a reputation for creating characters and situations that always deliver smiles, sighs and appreciation of unusual personality quirks. If a reader is in any doubt, pick up your own copy of SEALed and Delivered and see for yourself how much trouble a little deck of cards can be. It’ll be worth it.
