Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Things to Eat/Drink While Reading

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Thank you to Jana’s mom for coming up with this week’s prompt! I love talking about food.

1. Ice Water

This is so refreshing on a hot, humid day. I tend to forget to drink enough in the summer, so when I do reach for a drink I try to make it as hydrating as possible.

2. Hot Chocolate

When the weather grows cold, I switch to hot drinks. Yes, sometimes I add marshmallows to it, too.

3. 90% Cocoa Chocolate Bars

Have you noticed the pattern in my list yet? I actually don’t eat or drink chocolate very often, but when I do I want it to be the good stuff.

4. Saltine Crackers

When I was a child, my parents didn’t keep many sweets in the house. My snacks were generally things like salad, a piece of fruit, or some crackers unless it was a special occasion. I spent many afternoons reading while slowly nibbling on these crackers, and I still have the same habit as an adult.

5. Orange Juice

They think that others will also see them as lesser men and this will lead to stigmatization. generic pharmacy cialis https://pdxcommercial.com/property/4011-4023-ne-hancock-street-portland-oregon-97212/hancock-brochure/ This wonder herb acts as Rasayana cialis in australia and helps to slow down ageing process. 3. Even now, I only tend to drink it when I’m sick or travelling to places where one shouldn’t drink tap water. There’s nothing like slowly sipping a cup of this delicious juice while reading a book.

6. Dried Fruit

I love everything from raisins to medjool dates to dried apples. They are all delicious and can be a mess-free way to snack and read at the same time.

7. Twizzlers

This is my father’s favorite type of junk food. I smile and think of him every time I indulge in it.

8. Chocolate Chip Cookies

I promise that this will be the last chocolate-related item on my list, but there is nothing like biting into warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie while reading a book. It’s heavenly.

9. Crackers and Cured Meat

The crackers need to be something thick and sturdy. Somehow salami tastes better if you have nice, thick crackers with them.

10. Smoothies

I’ve been trying to eat more fruit and vegetables, and smoothies are an easy way to sneak in a couple of extra servings of these food groups.

If jerky wasn’t so expensive I’d absolutely have it as a reading snack haha.
