Sound scary? It’s a little disconcerting, but if you read The Darkness Series Book 7: Consuming the Darkness, everything will make sense and it’ll be worth the read.
Ms. Stewart’s Darkness Series captivated me immediately. I like the world of Jacob’s Cove and the cast of characters within it. I felt like I was right there with them going through the travesties of the post Darkness time.

Stewart’s heroines are awesome, independent, and memorable. Sienna doesn’t disappoint. She wants to be the best police lieutenant she can be. There were times when I was a bit put off by her bullheadedness. I thought she was a tad blunt to the point of putting me off. Still, I loved reading about her and wanted to see her get her heart’s desire—when she decided what it was.
As for the hero, you can’t get much better than Nathan. He’s a hunk and he’s forthright—no pulled punches, but lots of smooth lines to make me swoon. I liked that he didn’t totally get the idea of the demons and vampire. I got to go through his progression of getting used to the new characters of Jacob’s Cove and seeing life through new eyes.
The plot has lots of nice twists and turns and moves at a breakneck pace that kept me planted in my seat. This was one book I didn’t want to put down.
If you want a steamy book with characters you won’t soon forget, then you’ll want to read Consuming the Darkness. I give this book 4 cherries.
