Taran McLaine knows the agony of his incubus father’s curse more intimately than his siblings. A century ago he murdered the only woman he ever loved. When he finds her alive, he’s faced with the ultimate heartbreak. They have no chance at a future–he’s done all he can to insure that on his day of judgment the ancestors will deny him a mortal life.

Years ago, Solene Larouche embraced Taran and the dark curse that cloaked him. She knew the risk she faced, but when Drandar pulls her back to life, she agrees to aid the demon and damn Taran to eternal suffering. One look at the man who held her heart so long ago, however, changes her mind. She must find a way to free him, even if it means condemning herself to eternity as Drandar’s slave.

As Samhain approaches, Solene and Taran conspire to destroy Drandar. But will their combined effort enable them to kill the incubus or will they be cast into Drandar’s own special Hell and all hope of their renewed love marked for death?

Imagine harboring an evil deep inside you that threatens to destroy anything and everything you love…

Taran has done some despicable things in his life, but brutally killing the one woman that meant the world to him has tormented him, non-stop, for years. He’s resigned himself to living in solitary misery, with the exception of a mangy alley cat who allows limited contact in exchange for tuna. Taran is a good man with a caring heart, but he carries a curse from his father that makes him do terrible things to those least deserving it. He’s ostracized himself from his family and has chosen to spend eternity in self-loathing until he finds a way to end his life and his suffering. What he never expects is to have a second chance with Solene, his one true love. After all, how could he? She’s dead; brutally murdered by his own hands.

Solene shows the depth and devotion true love is willing to go through. She’s given the opportunity to avenge her death and regain the life that had been taken from her, but when she sees her beloved Taran, when she understands the depth of his misery and guilt, she knows she can never betray him, even if it damns her to an eternity of sexual servitude to the very demon who cursed her lover. Solene shows us her strength and fortitude when all seems lost. She’s willing to sacrifice herself all over again if it will give Taran the life he so longs for, the life he deserves as a mortal man.

As if Taran’s curse isn’t enough to make him miserable, learning that the only way to end it is by working with the very people who he felt surely hated him for his terrible deeds is about more than he can take. But sometimes we have to swallow our pride and humble ourselves to those who’ve hurt us deeply, especially if it means protecting the ones we love. Taran’s endless love for Solene, paired with his anger and burning hatred for his sire, may just be the encouragement he needs to finally end the curse that’s plagued his family for so long.

Ms. Ashgrove has penned a deeply touching story in Marked for Death. Her exceptional talent for creating imagery with words had me intrigued from the start. The main characters, Solene and Taran, are ones I quickly grew attached to. I wanted to know what happened. At times, their future seemed very bleak and hopeless. If anything, this made their plight seem even more real. Everyone wants a happily ever after, but the ability to make the reader wonder up until the very end is a rare talent and nice break from stories that are predictable from beginning to end. There are several secondary characters added toward the end that make it a bit difficult to keep up with. But I suspect, since there are several tales in this line, that these characters have their own stories to tell in their own time. I thoroughly enjoyed Marked for Death by Claire Ashgrove and plan on getting my hands on more of her intriguing stories.

Deeply troubled hearts, love that spans across life and death, and complex characters with admirable qualities are what I found in this wonderful story. Be sure to check out Claire Ashgrove’s Marked for Death. You just may be pleasantly surprised.

The last thing he needs is a headstrong, unyielding, hot Marine who not only tempts his bed, but soon has him rethinking his goals.

I enjoyed this sweet and romantic story about two wounded hearts finding a place to come home to and helping each other to heal.

Ex-marine, Camilla Walker is happy to help out when her CO asks her to lend a helping hand at his family ranch until he gets home. She shows up ready to work, only to find out that she is a complete surprise to man who runs the place.

Cowboy rancher, Finn Brennan, is flabbergasted when his prank playing brother sends a female marine to help out at the ranch. Being a woman and a marine, Cammie has two strikes against her in Finn’s book. The ex-seal blames the marines for costing him his career as well as the woman he loved. He’s a stubborn cowboy and she’s a feisty marine, and I enjoyed this story so much once they warmed up to each other and the sparks started to fly. I enjoyed the wicked bantering back and forth between these two stubborn souls. The best part of the book for me was watching them fight falling in love and then loosing their hearts in the end.

This was a romantic story about two broken people finding the strength to heal and start again. A mistaken engagement leads to some hilarious scenes, but the essence of the story was the romance part. It only took me about two hours to finish it, but then again, I was so caught up in the story that I couldn’t put it down. It was a fun and entertaining story, and I’d recommend it as a light, enjoyable read.

Big-city lawyer Michaela Dunn stepped in to give her aunt & uncle a break from their bed-and-breakfast lodge in the wilds of northern New Brunswick, but the neighborhood bully from her schooldays taunts and torments her and wants to put the lodge out of business. What is she to do? Rescue comes in a strange form when a ghostly apparition points a finger.

Travis MacDonald wants only to find peace away from city life, secluded in his cabin, checking trap lines, mushing his dogsled to and from town for supplies. Finding a damsel in distress on the trail isn’t on his list. Neither is being arrested for murder.

Undeniable attraction has Michaela and Travis working together to solve the mystery, hampered by lies, jealousy, and someone who would kill again to keep them quiet.

Set in the backwoods of New Brunswick, Canada, Ms. MacMillan gives us a taste of the more primitive side of the Canadian wilderness. With the preservation of the wilderness areas being a big focus of this book, we get to see the beauty of the wild through the author’s eyes and her love of her native land.

There are many men who have used this medicine for proper directions to cialis tab avoid complications. Sexual function usually works better under the viagra professional uk relaxation mode. So, for now, the bald community must cheapest cialis canada http://amerikabulteni.com/category/haberler/new-york/ settle for Propecia, the short-term solution for curing the erectile dysfunction. Michaela was a fantastic character. She is a woman that can go from country girl to city girl and be competent in both, but at the same time, is the epitome of the old saying “you can take the girl from the country, but you can’t take the country from the girl”. Even though she has moved to the city and worked to become the person that her parents want her to be, her heart is still back at Promise Lodge in the wilderness of New Brunswick. After taking over the running of the lodge for a few weeks, she realizes that she still belongs there and not in the city.

And then there is the tall, dark and mysterious Travis MacDonald. He is a (recently) local resident of the area and has developed a reputation as a hermit. Thrown together by circumstance, Michaela suddenly has the opportunity to get to know him. Sparks fly, much to chagrin of both of them, which makes for some great sexual tension.

Ralph Frame is perfect as the villain that you love to hate, along with his buddy, Andy. Andy had some mildly redeeming qualities, but as much as I wanted to feel sorry for him, I just never quite got there. Michaela’s best friend, Karen, is an interesting character, as a female Ranger. I would have liked to see more of her. In fact, her character had enough potential that she could probably carry her own story quite well. And the mystery keeps you guessing. I’m usually pretty good at guessing “whodunit” in books or movies, but this one surprised me.

While the parts with the ghost add a bit more mysticism to the story, it seems really unnecessary. Those parts could be completely taken out of the story and it wouldn’t change the plot at all. I wish there would have been a little bit more to that aspect of the story or that it had been left out entirely.

I loved that there was a sled dog team. I’ve owned and raised Siberian Huskies my entire life (the original sled dog) and have owned a couple of Malamutes along the way, so it was a lot of fun for me to read about the dogs. I was a little concerned that she showed a dog eating chocolate in the book and portrayed it as a treat, because chocolate can kill dogs. I wouldn’t want any new dog owners to get ideas dangerous to their pets but portraying the dog as a kleptomaniac was funny.

Entertaining and well written, this book kept me equally trying to figure the mystery out, loving the tension between Michaela and Travis, and laughing at the antics of the dogs, with a very satisfying ending. Ghost of Winters Past is definitely worth checking out if you are in the mood for a suspenseful read with some romance along the way.

Michaela Grant travels to Scotland for a holiday, knowing this vacation is her last. A medical condition threatens her life and any chance of a future—until she meets Alan MacLachlin, a man forced to exist between two worlds.

Alan is the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Once every fifty years he returns to human form in search of his soul mate, the one woman who can break his curse. He believes he has found forever with Michaela, but to claim it he must figure out how to save her life.
Due to this reason, many men hesitate to undergo such invasive procedure. levitra properien Who knows, their product or company might be something wrong with him that recommended cheap online viagra turns her off. Michaela and Alan vow to take what time has to offer, but another threat looms. A sinister shape shifter with a vendetta against Alan is making Loch Ness his personal hunting ground. Now he’s threatening Michaela. Alan must discover who the shifter is and stop him before it’s too late.

Michaela Grant is enjoying the wilds of Scotland and decides to take a break from her walk near the Loch. She bumps into Alan and his brother Hyatt and is instantly attracted to them both even though Alan seems quite rough around the edges. When Hyatt invites her onto the Loch for a tour, she decides to go along with it – No Regrets is her new motto since receiving bad news on her health. The tour becomes lunch and slowly the three of them get to know each other better. The icy beginning between Alan and Michaela melts into something far more wonderful than either can believe possible, but she also finds herself charmed by Hyatt. Not everything is as it seems, however. All three of them have far more going on beyond the surface. As they each explore their initially flirtatious friendship emotions get entangled and things become complicated.

This is a truly sweeping story, filled with epic emotion and deep characters strongly connected to each other. The author has done an amazing job in bringing the main players to vivid life. Despite the magical backdrop of the Loch Ness, the tall tales surrounding it and the beauty of Scotland, it’s the characters, with issues and problems, hopes, dreams and amazing personalities that really shines through the pages. Readers who love a bit of angst, a lot of characterization and a dollop of fun mixed in with their stories will love this book. Despite the hint of magic and old-world-style storytelling I found myself drawn into the plot but particularly attached to the people and their situations.

The author has put a unique spin on the tale of the Loch Ness monster – the opening chapters explaining exactly how and why Alan and Hyatt find themselves “cursed” and bound by this magical conundrum, but enough mystery is left to weave through the entire story. Michaela is a sympathetic heroine, doing her best to live her life and enjoy herself, doing those things she thought there’d be years to do and keep positive even when life is throwing her a curve ball. While the writing, tone and plot were all really good – it was the richness of the characters and the way they instantly grabbed me and made me keep on turning the pages long past my bedtime that was really the best part of this story.
