Echoes Of Darkness is a breath of fresh air in the saturated paranormal genre. It’s a mix of gods and goddesses, clairvoyants, demons, and so much more. The author does an excellent job in the world building, and her characters are memorable and exciting. I found Fallon’s speaking to be a little puzzling and confusing at times, because of course he’s from Scotland 500 years ago, but it didn’t tear me away from the story too much. Overall, Echoes of Darkness is enjoyable, adventurous, and witty.

If you enjoy a new spin on paranormal romances, I’d highly advise you not to miss Echoes of Darkness. Get swept away in it’s powerful and fun story line, and hold on tight: you’re in for a wild ride.

The love scenes are very special, they’re no less intense of those very carnal in content, and the heat level is right up there but the tenderness and the familiarity of this couple can be felt at every touch and thought and the author is a master of letting her readers feel the passion between this man and woman.

No matter what kind of romance reader you are this one will appeal to you because it’s got everything that a romance addict needs for their specific “fix”. If you, like me, are an older reader and prefer your characters a little longer in the tooth, you’ll love this, if you love the second chance romance, you’ll love this, if you love the kind of couples who flail around after that all elusive HEA, you’ll love this. Linda Engman brings us this novel which could be from the local TV station in the middle of the afternoon tuned into any of the soap operas out there complete with larger than life GQ characters and hot sexy steamy love scenes; the one thing different is you’ll like these characters even through all the mistakes they seem destined to make and repeat.

You’ll find yourself pulled into the drama and it doesn’t let you go until the end. The dialogue is ‘in your face’ expletives when it’s the guys and then more toned down and a little more upper class when it’s the gals; of course these gals don’t mind swinging a four letter word or two around either. Her characters are outlandish and yet could easily be the guy or gal next door and she lets us know each one intimately. Her hero Cooper and heroine Heather define a relationship-impaired couple and it’s we the readers who get the fun of seeing them tossed about the tornado known as falling in love. The love scenes are hot, steamy and you’ll definitely need to turn down the temp to survive it. At times during these scenes I felt the narrative a bit forced and it lost its flow just a bit. Other than that it was great and this tiny problem did not lesson my enjoyment of the read.

I loved Devon for his determination to protect Sara in this.

Rigg is the ultimate bad boy, dark and tattooed, every woman’s guilty fantasy. He is determined to break this case, but keep Sara safe. He is honest, and lets Sara know that he wants her, but not the same way Devon does. He is more of a love them and leave them kind of guy. As an undercover detective, he lives on the edge, taking pleasure where he finds it. I like his honest and open candor with Sara.

This is a short and very hot story, and there is so much more than just hot sex here. There is the danger of the investigation, the blossoming relationship with Devon, and the electricity between all three characters taking this up to another level. I recommend this for those times when you just need a quick pick me up to occupy your mind. But bring lots of ice, you will need it.

Apparently long-time sweetheart Lily still does, even if she has been away in Chicago for over eight years nursing her broken heart. Childhood sweethearts who finally connect again after years apart…well these types of stories always stir my heart and Becca Dale did a great job of supplying us with the back-story details. The added smoking love scenes? Just icing on this delicious cake.

When Lily returns to her hometown, she is immediately distraught to discover her long-ago heartthrob is about to ride the very bronc that caused his terrible accident eight years prior that also ultimately caused their separation. When these two finally have words what ignites is a blazing fire, leading us into a scorching love-story that will keep you engrossed until the very end. Can over-confident and slightly arrogant cowboy Thor win back his cautious Lily for keeps? I recommend reading this spicy romance to see for yourself.

I am a selfish reader, always hoping the short story might be longer or more detailed, but I soon discovered that Becca is a really good writer and she does the “short story” justice. She managed to make this reader care about her characters in only a few pages.

I wish she had more time to expand on Lily’s reasons for leaving Thor after his rodeo accident. I do not think I wanted to take it at face value that she was hurt because he demanded that she leave the hospital room. I would have liked to see if she could have fought harder if some-other circumstances might not have been in play. I think this would have endeared us to Lily’s character more if this had been expanded on, however I say again, Ms. Dale did a good job of covering as much history as she could in such few written words.

I loved that we could feel a wide range of emotions in this tale which made it easier to quickly connect with all of the players involved. The secondary characters were also loveable and intriguing. These combinations make for a very entertaining read. I would have no problem recommending this story to my reading group or my friends. I read it from start to finish in one setting and I must say, I am really looking forward to reading future stories written by the author.

The bond of mating is more intense than either is prepared for. Will Kerkira forgive him because Ja’darien is at the mercy of the dragon?

I was in the mood for dragon and got more than my fill in this story were dragon meet dragon slayer. Ja’Darien may not be a slayer in this situation. Kerkira has one up on him since he recognizes him as his mate. But a relationship between a dragon and dragon slayer would never work; or would it?

Short stories for me in the past have been perplexing. I just cannot seem to get into the plot as much as I would like in such a short amount of time. Except in this story the plot was so action packed I fell right into place. With only seventeen pages it is an art to make a complete storyline, but author KyAnn Water’s did just that. Both main characters in this story were men’s men. Well at least they like to believe they were. The fact that they are mortal enemies means that one person needs to be willing to submit and change for the other. Seeing as though Kerkira can’t change who he is that only leaves one person: Ja’Darien. The inner conflict displayed by both characters because of who or what they are added depth to the story. I think the author could have easily turned this short story into a full novel and it would have been just as enjoyable.

Kerkira brings a new meaning to chasing tale. His tail is an interesting additive to sex play. If more men had tails they would not need us women, so I am thankful they do not have Kerkira’s abilities, but it did make for an interesting read…especially if you don’t mind feeling a little flustered. Luckily for Ja’Darien he will not be replaced by that talented tail, but instead get the experience the please that particular appendage can bring.

Mercy of the Dragon was a great story that keep me thoroughly entertained. What else can a reader ask for?

This smooth flowing story grabbed my interest from the very first paragraph. Mrs. Lovington’s main characters in this story are just steeped in sexy! With the economy being as rough today as it is, we can all relate to Naomi’s predicament; and who wouldn’t be drawn to a character like Dante? He’s a tall, dark, sexy and handsome protector who cannot seem to resist Naomi’s unique charms. Mrs. Lovington’s storytelling is intriguing, as I find that the emotions of her characters were very realistic, presenting the reader with multiple points-of-view to better relate to the humanity of the characters.

This was the first story I had ever read of Ms. Lovington’s, but I can promise you that it definitely will not be the last. This story was sizzling hot from the beginning to the end and my only regret was that this was indeed a short story, as I would have loved to read more about these two interesting and loveable main characters and their scorching love life.
