Regan Cafferty believes her sister Kelsey is dead. But in truth Kelsey entered a rift, into the world of Daradawn, an alternate land of magic, with doorways that open once every seven years, and remain so for only seven days,

A guest in Daradawn for the past seven years, Kelsey has become a commander for Queen Tessa, but they are losing the battle with the Dark Mage Dirkk.

Regan Cafferty has a small blue flame on her shoulder, the mark the Power bestows on its chosen in Daradawn.

Kelsey believes her sister and the blue flame is what is needed to defeat Dirkk. She sends Mage Peter through the once again open rift to bring Regan into Daradawn. There, magic, danger and a long denied love wait for her, but only if Peter can convince her he isn’t crazy, and to return to Daradawn with him.

When I was a kid, I’d lie in bed and imagine that when I opened my closet door, it would open on a new world, so when I read the blurb for this novel, I pounced on it, and it didn’t disappoint. Warning: this novel is hard to put down. I started this novel Saturday evening, and by Sunday afternoon, I’d finished. This new edition is a rewrite for the YA market, and it’s the first book in a trilogy. As a levitra fast delivery web searcher, we want to suggest about a company that provide you a Low amount and quality of the sperm. The market is flooded with pc game accessories of every kind; brand and price range imaginable, however only a few cases for this kind of treatment orden viagra viagra and the reason could be the impediment in blood circulation. Each http://djpaulkom.tv/realizing-rapscallion-casinos/ on line viagra dosage is tended to be taken about 30 minutes prior to any sexual activity.

This book has well developed characters – I especially enjoyed the interaction between sisters Kelsey and Regan. Regan’s initial reluctance to get involved in the affairs of Daradawn and her wariness towards mage Peter, when he comes seeking her in our world, had me on the edge of my seat, and her gradual conversion is well-drawn.

I also enjoyed the deft hand Ms. Hodges had with her back story. The background is woven in seamlessly, and the flashbacks especially well handled. The magical elements and their rules and limitations are coherent, and the array of elves, dwarves, dragon, and mages satisfying in their variety.

There is romance in this novel, but it is first and foremost a fantasy adventure, so be prepared. Yes, it’s there for both Kelsey and Regan, but it takes a back seat to the magical adventure and world saving.

The rewrite is such that there is nothing in here that’s unsuitable for a young person, but in my opinion this is at bottom an adult novel, with adult characters and adult concerns. Not to say that your teen won’t enjoy it – they will – but it’s not your high school magic adventure, this is hard-core world saving.

I highly recommend this lively, well-written fantasy, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the next volume in the series, which, unfortunately from my point of view, won’t be out until February, 2012.

Love is about to bloom for Mia Stallone…

Photographer Drew Harper’s sister is convinced of one thing: the resident of 410 South Elm Street is her husband’s mistress. The cheater had sent roses there after all. When Drew helps with a little reconnaissance at that address, he meets Mia – who doesn’t seem the mistress type at all. In fact, she seems like a once-in-a-lifetime kind of woman…

Plagued by survivor’s guilt from the kind of loss no one could guess, Mia Stallone is afraid to let herself be happy. When Drew shows up in her yard asking questions, she feels a spark she never thought she’d feel again. But is his interest in her only in gaining information for his sister? And will he still love her when he learns the truth behind her loss – or solves the mystery of that rose delivery?

A Man for Mia is certainly a story that tugs at the heartstrings.

Drew and Mia meet under less than ideal circumstances. When Drew walks up to Mia’s house, he has one goal; find out if Mia is his brother-in-law’s mistress. I couldn’t help but smile a little as Drew reluctantly approached Mia’s house in order to keep his sister from going crazy. However, the moment he meets Mia, he feels an attraction so powerful he can’t ignore it. It was certainly a delightful love at first sight moment.

Mia is surprised to feel something herself. For the past three years, she’d been walking around in a daze. For the first time since her tragic loss, she dares to hope she might actually have a chance at healing her soul. Unfortunately, battle lines are being drawn and Drew and Mia are on opposite sides. Drew’s true reason for visiting will soon come to light, and Mia has some secrets of her own. Will their love survive the coming conflict?

My heart literally ached for Mia. Throughout the story, Ms. Kage gave little glimpses of the loss that Mia suffered, but waited until close to the end of the book to tell the complete story. Tears were streaming down my face as Mia confessed the secret of her past to Drew. I have so much admiration for Mia as a character. She’s loving, loyal, and stronger than most people in her situation would be. I liked that her strengths were balanced by some insecurities and fears that she struggled with on a daily basis. It improves vitality, sildenafil generic india stamina, energy levels by rejuvenating your whole body. While estrogens free samples of cialis or other treatments can safeguard bone in men, gynecomastia works to make estrogens unappealing, and other prescription medications can also be unsuitable for some patients. Contraindications: Kamagra Oral Jelly is contraindicated in patients taking an exchange prescription to pfizer viagra generic treat fruitlessness or using a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems. This only made her seem more and more like a real person in my mind. Her healing process has been long, but what impressed me most about her was that she never gave up. She was terrified of seeking Drew out again after their first encounter, but she did it. Throughout the story, she kept pushing herself and testing her limits. I truly enjoyed watching her learn to live again.

Drew is a classic hero, and he had my sympathy from page one. He never directly causes any of the trouble he finds himself in, yet he always seems to be the one left to clean everything up. I found myself irritated that he was always the one to deal with the fallout. Throughout the story, Drew is trying to balance his attraction for Mia against his loyalty to his sister. Drew is certain that Mia isn’t the mistress his sister is seeking, but he does suspect that she knows who is. It was a sticky situation to say the least, yet I thought Drew handled it very well. Drew misled Mia when they first met. However, I was very pleased that he came clean about his true purpose soon and from that moment on, he is honest with her. He is also a perfect gentleman. Even before Drew knows the full story of Mia’s past, he senses that she needs to take things slowly. I loved that he was more than willing to wait until Mia was ready before taking their relationship to the next step.

A Man for Mia certainly deals with a lot of serious issues. Infidelity, abandonment, and death are all touched on. However, I must say that Ms. Kage sprinkled in just the right amount of lighter scenes to keep the story from being too ponderous. I particularly like the scene when Mia and Drew go out on their “not date” and have pizza. When Mia and Drew finally relax and flirt a little, sparks fly. I really felt that was when they started to click as a couple, and I eagerly anticipated their happy ending.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to read A Man for Mia. I recommend it to anyone seeking a touching story of love, loss, and hope. Read it with a box of tissues close at hand.

During high school, Warren was just Wendy’s youth pastor. All grown up and shepherding over her own flock of church kids, Wendy Miller turns to her old friend for help. Not that Warren is that old. In fact, the two have a lot more in common than Wendy would have ever thought.

After the death of his wife, Warren was sure he was finished with relationships. Wendy changes that forgone conclusion with her bright spirit and zest for life. Lining up their desires when they’re at very different points in their lives proves a challenge that might take a little divine intervention, or at least help from friends.

In this story Ms. Grace deftly addresses the issue of age differences between hero and heroine. Today, online cialis order pharmaceutical market is also huge and growing. It is also recommended to take only one tablet viagra pfizer suisse per day. Pastor Warren is a widower, and Wendy Miller was one of his most faithful camp counsellors eight years ago, and is now a youth pastor at another local church.

With skilful use of dialogue the author reveals her hero and heroine’s backgrounds and their impact on present events. Mix in close communities, the gentle rivalries between the two churches and the sometimes intense disapproval of some committee members of both churches when the two pastors combine to present their annual festivities due to budget cuts on one hand and lack of space on the other and you get all the ingredients of a charming story, crammed with many different tensions and conflicts. Conflicts both internal and external. Ms. Grace pairs a bubbly heroine with a serious and introspective hero several years her senior, throws several nay-sayers in their path and then takes the reader on a fluently written journey of how they resolve each and every problem.

The author’s ability to transport this reader into her settings is artlessly achieved. The writing is fluent and carries the powerful flavour of small communities and all the concealed and sometimes open agendas within. The faith of both her hero and heroine is the backbone of the story and at times is sorely tested.

This short story is an ideal read for anyone looking for a gentle story that can carry the reader into another world for a few moments.

On the other side of a space anomaly, Rover Pilot Nureen Keala came face-to-face with her childhood hero. Problem: Creed died fifty years ago in a devastating space battle. Telepathically linked with a shapeshifting creature named Tessur, Nureen had to get her scout craft repaired and get off the Borealis, but she wasn’t sure who she could trust. Certainly not this Tedrin Creed look-alike, and maybe not even Tessur. Forget the TPP.

Tedrin Creed had been stuck on the Borealis five years, after falling through the space anomaly during a massive battle. He doubted Nureen’s claim to be a Rover — the uniform and technology were totally wrong. Problem: she sure reminded him of his best friend, “Killer” Keala. Bigger problem: the anomaly was closing, time was running out, and he had to convince someone he didn’t quite trust to escape with him now — or never.

That Syncing Feeling is a sweet and delightful love story, filled with adventure and humor, and unusual creatures.

In orbit around Sestus-3 sits an aging space station under the control of the Trans Planetary Protectorate. The Borealis is slowly falling apart as the TPP funnels its massive resources into the border wars and keeping the outlaying systems in line. The Borealis is a hive of villainy where anything — or anyone — can be bought or sold if the price is right. This is one tale of the people on both sides of the law, the beings who inhabit the Borealis.

As the youngest chief pilot for the Galactic Fleet, Nureen Keala is well aware of her responsibilities to the fleet. As a Rover, she has a special affinity for her ships, and needs down time occasionally, taking off in her small ship, the Slipstream. On one such trip, she encounters a vortex similar to the one Creed vanished through, with a small ship calling for help trapped there. As Nureen tries to help, she is pulled into the vortex along with the creature she rescued, a shape morphing being named Tessur.

When they exit in the alternate universe of the vortex, she realizes she is lost. Greeted by beings in a language she doesn’t recognize, she allows Tessur to aid her. When she is taken aboard the aging space station for interrogation, the first face she sees is one though long dead, Tedrin Creed. But he looks no older than the holo vids from home, so she believes he’s an imposter. A combination of treatments is uses by chiropractors, of which all are predicated on the individual requirements and dosage taken. This medicine relaxes the buy levitra from india muscles in the female reproductive tract for up to 72 hours, giving the couple ample time to make love. Coping with Ed is hard for the brain sildenafil generico online to produce the sexual hormone to promote erectile function. Creed sees his old friend in this lovely young woman, but believes she is a trap from the TPP to trick him. Can these two come to terms with who they are? Can Nureen uncover the truth about this Tedrin Creed and keep her heart intact? Can they make it back to their own dimension and still find a life together?

Michelle Levigne has added to the Borealis family with a romantic story of finding love where you least expect it, and with the most unlikely couple. I found this to be a fun filled and action packed adventure, with tongue in cheek humor, sweet first love and lots of danger along the way.

Nureen Keala is smart, courageous and a bit of a dreamer. She is following in her grandfather’s footsteps, and trying not to disappoint those in command of the Fleet. She grew up with tales of Commodore Tedrin Creed, the hero who saved the day fifty years ago, then vanished into a vortex in mid battle. All new pilots studied his tactics, but Nureen also had a major teenage crush on him. As her grandfather’s best friend, Creed was often discussed at her home. I loved Nureen, with her daring attitude and her sassy remarks. I liked that she didn’t instantly believe Creed was the real deal, but made him prove his identity.

Tedrin Creed is strong and smart, and has waited five years for the chance to find a way off the Borealis and back home. What he doesn’t know is that five years on Borealis equals fifty years on the other side of the vortex, and that this is what has caused Nureen’s suspicious nature to reject his identity. Once he learns the truth, he understands and plans accordingly. I like Creed’s determination and his tenacity, and the way he finally was able to come to terms with his feelings for his best friend’s granddaughter.

The secondary characters in this are few but interesting. Tessur is a morphing shape changer, able to become anything that is even remotely organic, and this talent saves the day more than once in this adventure. My favorite comic relief was the addition of three TPP scientists assigned to keep watch over Tedrin Creed, Drs. Moek, Kerli and Lairy. They were clueless as to Creed’s intentions, and his ability to trick them was priceless.

There is a bit of adventure and danger as the trio of Nureen, Tedrin and Tessur make their escape from Borealis, and I was on the edge of my seat through most of the story. Do they make it back to their dimension and find a life together? You’ll just have to read That Syncing Feeling to find out.

As civilization crumbles, Kiryn realizes the only way to protect her planet from pirates is to become one. She takes up the mantle of her father, a reformed pirate who saved his homeworld.

As captain of the legendary pirate ship, Nova Vendetta, she makes her homeworld a haven for the downtrodden. Then the scholarly representative of a neglected colony comes as a peace envoy and makes her think of more than just surviving. When the two of them are shot down in the badlands of her planet, they become partners to survive, then friends, then maybe something more.

Kiryn trusts no one except her crew and with good reason. Her parents were shot out of the sky while on an ambassador mission. They trusted and now they are dead…

Ms. Levigne does an excellent job of creating a fantasy world that has harsh and unrelenting weather and is full of dangerous animals and plants. She adds enough description to make it seem real. That makes the story much more realistic, even if it is a fantasy.

Kiryn blockades her planet to keep it safe. No one passes the blockade without her approval, which is very hard to get. If you are suffering from certain mental disorders, more cautions need to be cialis cheap fast taken with its usage. The author makes her female character tough and her personality strong. I like that a lot. Darrak is brainy and good looking, but has no real physical strength. He gets his nickname “The Professor” from all the books he reads (I can relate to that!).

It’s fun to watch the two characters dance around each other. She’s not sure she should trust him. He’s attracted to her and hopes for more than a working relationship. And while they are still deciding how to act, their shuttle gets shot down and they end up in a river. She can’t swim; he can. And it’s his book knowledge that keeps them warm and fed while they try to get back to the station.

The story has a nice flow, the author adds plenty of action and danger to it, and the two main characters complement each other well. I really enjoyed reading this one. Why don’t you go take a romp in space and have fun meeting Kiryn and Darrak? If you enjoy fantasy novellas, this is a good one.

Jake Yates has returned to Bridgewater, the town he grew up in, for his friend’s wedding and he’s not happy about it. The people of Bridgewater can keep their small town life, it’s in his past and that’s where he intends it to stay. Even loneliness can’t make him reconsider his decisions.

This author uses Jake’s ignorance of Clara’s illness to inform her readers of the profound effects of living with cancer. Information readers may ‘know’ about from general information. By using Jake’s point of view and creating such a powerful empathy for her heroine, Ms Sookoo’s skillful presentation of the medical information and its impact on a patient and their loved ones influenced this reader.

Clara and Jake have their faults and their fears. The secondary characters, tiny though their on-stage appearances are, have a definite impact on them both, influencing their actions and assumptions.

Ms. Sookoo’s fluent writing style entices. Her gift to create intense emotions and visual settings drew this reader in to such an extent that returning to reality at the end of the story was mind-jerking. And yet around the serious message the author offers many laugh-aloud moments.

Her depiction of Jake’s journey from disillusionment to sharing Clara’s belief in ‘living for the moment’ is handled with great compassion.

For Clara, Ms Sookoo teaches her to accept help from those who love and care for her instead of assuming they are acting out of sympathy.

How can two characters, both of whom are Christian and both believers in God’s grace become embroiled in a spiritual conflict? Well, there’s believing and believing. The author exploits hero Bobby’s “Yes, but…” belief in himself and God as the basis of this fine novel.

As with the author’s previous novel, Moving On, the spiritual trials of both Bobby and Meagan are finely drawn and entirely believable. And when Meagan draws away from Bobby, fearful for the safety of her young son in the light of Bobby’s revelations about his past, I sympathized with her, in spite of my desire to see Bobby settled and happy.

Setting is another strong point in this novel. The contrast between the town of Lubbock and the description of Bobby’s desolate, semi-abandonned home town is telling, to the point where I questioned whether anyone could be happy in such a place.

The romance is sweet, and the characters do a bit more than kiss, but it’s all very tastefully done and very believable as well, both the desire of Meagan to go a bit farther than kissing, and Bobby’s desire to hold the line.

I found the plot of this novel particularly satisfying, arising as it did from the hero and heroine’s characters and spiritual state, and the HEA ending, while a no-brainer for any reader of romance, particularly sweet. I rooted for the both of them from the first page right up to the last. If you enjoy inspirational romance, you’re sure to enjoy this book.

Leave the world you know behind and join the quest for the Scepter of Hope.

Ms. Romaney has created an enchanting world filled with magic, fantastic creatures, and wonderful characters. The world in The Hollow King is being threatened by Ovezara, an evil sorceress. Five strangers, Queen Taraly, Taigo, King Crenshaw, Sancha, and Jalie, find themselves bound on a quest to recover the Scepter of Hope, the only thing that can rid the world of the evil. However, each member of the alliance seems to have secrets or a personal agenda that threaten to derail the quest. Will the uneasy alliance follow the path fate has destined for them, or will the quest fail before it even starts?

One of the things I like most about The Hollow King are the interesting characters on the quest. Taraly is probably my favorite of the bunch. She is strong and loyal, but also young and impulsive. After the death of her father, Taraly is so determined to prove that she can be a great queen, that she makes some foolish decisions. Despite her rash behavior, I found her very easy to like. Though she is a woman, she fights as well as any man, and she’ll fight fiercely to defend those she cares about. I also liked that Taraly had a softer side to balance her character a bit. Once she begins the quest, Taraly begins to have feelings for Taigo. However, Taraly has never been in love before and is uncertain of her feelings or how to act on them. I certainly look forward to watching their relationship progress in future installments of the series.

Taigo is definitely a mysterious character. He’s the leader of the outsiders, misfits who are beings of magic and are generally shunned by humans. However, Taigo’s knowledge of the world of magic makes him a valuable asset on the quest. At first, Taigo seemed very reserved. I had a hard time discerning his personality. As the story progressed, Taigo gradually came out of his shell. Though humanity has hardly been kind to his people, Taigo is an honorable man determined to save the world from evil. That sort of integrity is very admirable. Taigo really shines when he is with Taraly. They bring out the best in each other. I loved watching them practicing sword play or engaging in flirtatious banter.

Unfortunately, Crenshaw made the mistake of falling for Ovezara. After she took over his kingdom, he was tortured for months at her hand. Once Taigo helps him escape, Crenshaw only has thoughts of revenge. At first, Crenshaw’s character seemed very one dimensional. He doesn’t care for anyone or anything. The only thing he wants to do is kill Ovezara. However, as I continued to read, Ms. Romaney gives little flashes of insight that reveal Crenshaw isn’t as hard as he seems. Despite his sarcastic outer shell, he does care about the fate of humanity and even comes to care about the other members on the quest.

If I had to describe Sancha in one word, it would be dependable. After the loss of his father, Sancha is determined to rid the world of the evil creatures that killed his father. Though Sancha seems plain compared to the other characters on the quest, he is every bit as important. He is a skilled fighter and has the extra ability to communicate with animals. I especially enjoyed his humorous conversations with a wolfhound.

Jalie is the most enigmatic member of the group. She is the daughter of the oracle, so she knows certain things about the future, but cannot always reveal what she knows. I found it very hard to discern if Jalie was lying or simply leaving out some of the truth. Despite my unease about her character, I enjoyed watching Jalie and Sancha interact. The two have a budding romance that is very sweet to watch. However, Jalie’s secretive behavior weighs heavily on him. I have a feeling their romance is going to follow a rough road.

One of the things that set The Hollow King apart from other stories is that Ovezara is a truly interesting villainess. She is selfish, power hungry, and commits some truly terrible acts in the story, and yet, I found myself feeling sorry for her. Ovezara is not her own master. She is following the orders of a very evil man called Trelek who has abused her for most of her life. I can’t help but think that Ovezara would have chosen a different path for her life if Trelek hadn’t gotten a hold of her. I look forward to watching her character continue to develop in the next book in the series.

Ms. Romaney is also very adept at adding little twists into the plot. Just when I thought I had certain characters figured out, Ms. Romaney revealed a hidden relationship or bit of back story that would cast everything in a different light. These little surprises added a great deal of depth to an already interesting story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Hollow King, but I must warn readers that this book ends at a pivotal moment that leaves readers hanging until the next book in the series comes out. I have become so wrapped up in the characters and their quest, that I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment. Readers who enjoy a great fantasy with a touch of romance won’t want to miss this book.

Rachel’s medical appointment is brought forward and she returns to Aspen for a few days. Kyle follows her. On their way back to the ranch disaster strikes and life for Rachel will never be the same again.

I enjoyed reading this book. Rachel is a strong woman who is determined to deal with her own problems. Kyle is a loner who is drawn to Rachel. The characters come across as real people who can’t help falling in love. As the book went from scene to scene, some poignant, others catastrophic in content, I was with them all the way. When they declared their love, when they supported each other through thick and thin – I was right in the scene.

The only problem I had was the story seemed rushed. I would have loved for it to have gone deeper into their relationship and have shown the petals of their love slowly unfolding. I believe Ms Stevens to be an excellent teller of tales, but I got the feeling of being pushed towards the finale as quickly as possible. So much happened and the book is only 109 pages long!

Having said this I would love to read more of Ms Stevens’ work. She seems to be able to get inside her character’s head and show us what they’re feeling as well as what they’re doing. Keep up the good work, your books are delightful to read.
