Pack your virtual bags, and head to the Caribbean with these 5 couples. Relax on white sand beaches and sail azure waters (all without leaving home) as you get to know:

*Roger & Lyndsay. They married on reality TV, but can they make a real marriage in daily life?

*Jeremy and Jennifer. They’re on their first big vacation…until he leaves her on the plane. Is it more or less than it seems?

*Todd and Shiloh. They were college friends. When scandal erupted, she ran. Now, on a reunion cruise, will Shiloh see what’s right in front of her?

*Eric and Anya. They bought a beach cottage for a simple life, but “simple” by whose definition?

*Dave and Mari. They sailed the world together. He wants marriage. She wants adventure. Will a hurricane change that?

What will it take for them to say “I do”?

Say “I Do!”

Lyndsay and Roger find themselves in a strange situation. Now that the show is over, their romance and wedding seem a bit unreal. Understandably, Lyndsay isn’t sure she truly knows the man she now calls husband. I can’t even imagine being in her situation! Roger is determined to prove to Lyndsay that their connection is more genuine than she believes. Roger is attracted to Lyndsay and they have great chemistry, but I like how he took things slow with her. He found sweet ways to show her how honest he had been on the show. I loved watching them rediscover each other away from the TV cameras. Their happy ending is a perfect beginning to this anthology.

How Much, My Love?

Jeremy and Jen have been planning their vacation for years. When Jeremy gives up his seat for $3,000, Jen feels abandoned. I would feel exactly the same way if I were Jen. Irritated and alone, Jen is left to wonder why Jeremy chose money over time with her. I really admire how Jen handles the situation. She doesn’t spend her time alone in Aruba moping around. She takes time to swim and enjoy the sights. Just when she’s beginning to relax, she gets more bad news. A friend sends her a message that indicates she might have more trouble with Jeremy than she thought. I will say I was able to predict what Jeremy was up to, but I still found the ending enjoyable.

Ten Years On

Of all the romances in this collection, Shiloh and Todd’s struck me as the most unrealistic. They were close friends once, but everything changed when Shiloh’s dad went to prison. Shiloh pushed him away, and they haven’t spoken in years. Consequently, their happy ending felt improbable. I just didn’t feel they had enough time to progress from a renewed friendship to a serious romantic relationship.

Caribbean Life, Take Two

Anya and Eric have great chemistry and clearly care about each other, but they aren’t quite in the same place when it comes their relationship. Their life styles aren’t in sync. Anya wants to take time to enjoy life and is okay if that means living a simpler life. Eric is always chasing the next big project. It is understandable that Anya would begin to question if they rushed into something. The distance between them grew as time passed, and I couldn’t help but wonder what it would take for Eric to realize what’s important in life.

Love Song

Mari and Dave’s story is definitely the most intense. Dave is ready to take things to the next level, but Mari is holding back. At first, I was confused, but then it became clear that she has idea of what happiness is supposed to look like, and she seems unwilling to admit that a happy or good life can mean different things at different stages in life. Her outlook on life made me very sad. Mari takes her relationship with Dave for granted, and I was on the edge of my seat wondering if she would realize what she had before it was too late!

Reading Say “I Do” is like a ray of sunshine on a cold day. Each story is a snapshot of a couple on the cusp of finding their happy ending. Fans of contemporary romance would do well to pick up a copy of this collection.
