Sorrel Bitter Thyme seems destined to spend her entire life at the Children of Nature compound. Not an ideal situation. She dreams of so much more—a better future, one outside the cult where she can experience freedom.

She’s perfected the Dream Cream, which enhances orgasmic pleasure, and it’s time to approach Fancy Free management with her invention. Easier said than done! Sneaking around the cult leader who will steal her idea if he learns of the financial potential is tricky and rife with problems.

Jake Ramsey, a Special Air Services soldier on sick leave, agrees to go undercover in the cult to help local police close a case against the leader. Fun times when a beach holiday with a sexy babe would suit him better. Plain and dumpy Sorrel is his inside contact and not what he expects.

Their partnership works well. A rapport blooms, and kisses meant to cement their cover, take on new possibilities. Jake uncovers secrets, and their loving heats up, passion coalescing into more than camaraderie. Then danger stalks Sorrel. What began as a favor is now deadly serious—a game Jake must win to keep Sorrel safe.

There are a lot of hot moments sprinkled throughout the novel while at the same time the hero is running out of time, trying to find clues to nefarious deeds. He has no idea how close and how hairy things are going to get. There is enough suspense, near misses, spying and subterfuge to keep those pages flipping.

Safeguarding Sorrel is filled with what I’d expect from a cult gone bad. They always start off sounding idealistic and serene. It only takes one person greedy for power, persuasive and cunning in their speech to twist a simple idea into a parody, a travesty of what the original founder intended. The villain is just as vile and twisted as anything you would read about in the papers or on T.V. The author created a very convincing bad guy. So arrogant yet foolish, and the innocent pay the price.

Sorrel had a very smart mother. It was her clever advice that kept Sorrel safe but time is running out. Jake, the hero, saw right through her but there was something that wasn’t quite right. I liked his determination in trying to figure out what intrigued him so. The discoveries were fun and their effect on Sorrel was perfect, leading to a rather unconventional and sexy romance

I liked that Sorrel refused to break. She had an inner strength, even when the bad guy spread his villainous verbal poison, the heroine was able to tough it out. She had a dream, a plan, and she was biding her time. I enjoyed it when Jake’s arrival threw things into disarray. The best part, Sorrel was no longer alone. I adored Jake because he was always so nice to her, helpful and he treated her the way a man should treat a woman. He respected her and once he figured out a few things, that respect increased. I thought that awesome.

What I found odd was the ringleader’s erratic behavior. Sometimes he was lackadaisical, paranoid at other times, but always nasty and mean. I wondered why he didn’t have someone show Jake the ropes, and have someone ‘educate’ him on the rules at Children of Nature’s compound. Considering the exciting and nail-biting climax, I think there’s a good reason. Let’s say he was a bit distracted. That’s an understatement.

The secondary characters were wonderful. I really thought every woman was downtrodden, but then the pots and pans came out. That was a ‘fist-bump’ moment.

Safeguarding Sorrel was a fun read. A lot of hot and steamy action to be sure, but the story and plot was strong enough to stand on its own. I believe this is part of a series but I didn’t feel lost because I hadn’t read any others. Jake and Sorrel, the suspense and intrigue, those were the main focus and everything else was icing on the cake. I’d recommend this book to romance fans who want a fast, exciting read with a happy ever after. Oh, don’t forget the recipe! Yes, there is a great recipe at the end that I am enthusiastic to try. I checked – yes I have all the ingredients. When I try it out, I’m going to remember Sorrel and Jake’s romance.

Plan A sucks. Move over for plan B…

Sports commentator and reporter, Megan Saxon, has it all. The perfect career and freedom to do anything she wants, but as the years creep by she realizes love, or at least male companionship, has thumbed its nose at her. With the help of her agent-friend, she hatches Plan B. A brief love affair with a younger man will cure all ills and help her plan for the future.

The problem with plan B? Nothing, I repeat nothing, goes the way she plans, and she’s left gasping for breath, dodging reporters and suffering acute embarrassment.

The. Worst. Blushing. Epidemic. Ever.

Long-term widower and werewolf, Jacey Anderson, has moved to small country town Middlemarch to be near his grieving adult stepson, Henry, and to embrace the wide, open spaces with his wolf. He’s not expecting romance and especially with a public figure who attracts reporters like flies at a dung heap. His attraction to the sexy, sassy Megan has disaster written all over it, yet try telling that to his moonstruck wolf.

Yes, this Plan B has potential calamity for both parties. A pity that neither of them has a lick of good sense when they’re in the same room, touching… Kissing… Caressing…

Do you know what I get when I pick up a book by Ms. Munro? An engaging story, an actual plot and a sigh-worthy romance with all its sexiness. I love the theme of second chances. Of discovering that, even if you loved and lost, there’s a solid chance of finding love again. Happiness is about to find Megan and Jacey.

The way Plan B evolved during the planning was interesting but the actual implementation of it was not what the heroine expected. At. All. There is plenty of amusement from that scene.

The editing was clean and the dialogue provided wonderful insight into both characters. It’s written in third person POV and I’m glad it was. When the hero and heroine ‘talk in their head’, a reader learns their pains, fears, confusion and their burgeoning hope not to mention the inside scoop as their feelings for each other grow.

The sense of family between Jacey and his step-son, Henry, and the other secondary characters gave life, believability and substance to the plot, and the camaraderie engaged a reader 100%. These were people, although mostly paranormal in nature, experiencing the same kinds of issues that readers could relate to. And some issues are, as you know, really delicate, like how to tell a human that you’re more than just a man. A common trope is to have the other partner discover the secret themselves in an untimely, inopportune moment and everyone gets emotional. Ms. Munro handled it perfectly.

There’s a wonderful amount of nipping and biting, touching, and getting and giving satisfaction until they see stars. But with all the sexy going on, it doesn’t drive the story; the characters while navigating their romance among nosy and mean spirited reporters, snippy sisters and a surprising oops moment, all kept me riveted and charmed. Maybe even giving me a hot flash or two.

I’ve hopscotched reading books in the Middlemarch Shifters series and I find that I hardly ever feel lost or confused. The author zeroes in on the stars of the story and I get all the info I need to enjoy it. My Plan B is an easy recommend to other paranormal erotic romance enthusiasts. The story is 167 pages and I zipped right through in one afternoon. There is a sneak peek to another book, My Cat Nap which explains why the total page count is higher. The bonus chapter at the council meeting is a very nice touch. I believe other readers will like the emotions the characters displayed in that scene.

My Plan B is a great read. When you pick up your own copy, kick back and get ready to enjoy a fun romance.

A killer at a small-town literary festival. Bumbling drug dealers. A kidnapped cat. Starting a romance among all this chaos might be the death of them.

Michael Fleishman is excited to meet his favorite mystery writer, Russell Withingham, at Lacetown’s Literary Fest. He is not expecting to cross paths with sexy hairdresser Jasper “Jazz” Dilworth—or become embroiled in a real-life mystery. As Lacetown’s only mortician and the county coroner, Michael is called to his first murder scene and is shocked to recognize the victim—Russell’s young lover.

Jazz only wanted to confront his ex, Russell, over his cheating. Instead, he meets the adorably awkward Michael and becomes a murder suspect. Soon Jazz is teaming up with Michael to clear his name. Along the way, they are helped and hindered by Michael’s sassy assistant, Kitty, the grumpy Sheriff Musgrave, Russell’s creepy PR rep, Norbert, and Michael’s lothario grandfather, who likes his manhattans strong and his women saucy. And of course, Mr. Pickles Furryton the Third….

The quality of erection is 100% natural and order viagra online safe. All these herbs in right dosage play a vital role to increase sperm count. super cialis Just follow 50mg generic viagra the above tips, and enjoy the road to other martial arts and how to really make them work. I love every single character in this book; they are fun and hexcentric, yet they can solve two different crimes. Michael is the typical nerd; interpersonal skills are almost nil, and he feels nervous every time he talks to Jazz. Jazz is incredibly sweet to him; he knows Michael is special, and their attraction is immediate. Both dance around each other awkwardly and I can’t help but feel sorry for them, since it seems that every time they go out on a date, something happens to interrupt it. My favorite example is when they are going out to lunch and Michael’s grandfather invites himself to their table. If that wasn’t bad enough, they notice a group of gulls fighting over something and the object lands in Jazz and Michael’s guacamole. It turns out to be a finger.

Michael and Jazz clash a lot with the local sheriff, partly because he speaks about their relationship in a crass manner. It is rather amusing to see how the three act around each other.

Jazz is very supportive of Michael, and Michael still has a hard time believing that Jazz is not going to freak out about his work. He has been hurt several times because of this. A perfect example of Jazz’s compassion and love for Michael is when Mr. Pickles is catnapped. Michael loved that cat like he is a member of his family and finds it hard to go through his day. Jazz and Michael’s assistant Ezra look everywhere while Michael works. Yet when Michael plays his voicemail he learns that the drug runners have catnapped Mr. Pickles.

All three men are worried about the case, the clues and persons of interest are many and they are worried another body will turn up. Poor Jazz had to suffer a lot of suspicion because he is new to the town and he had a relationship with Russell and Dylan.

I had to laugh at how awkward Michael is at the beginning of their relationship and how Jazz tries to put him at ease. When they go on a date on the boardwalk, they play truth or dare to learn more about each other. One of the dares was for the two of them to get a picture of them as if they were on a book cover. Jazz suggested the bodice ripper which makes Michael blush.

The lust for each other is always with them. They both suffer erections at the worst of times and their minds come up with all sorts of kinky images. When they do make love, the fireworks between them surprises Jazz. He didn’t think Michael would be such a lion in bed.

I won’t give the ending away but is not what I expected, that is for sure. I hope there will be more books in this series. I love the characters and the plot is well developed. I want to see how their relationship develops, and maybe see if other characters find love along the way. It’s a fun and witty novel for those that like a little heat in their mystery.

A steamy short story with werewolves and Fae.

You’ll probably need a fan beside you as you read this steamy story. I did. From the beginning, Gregor knows Jared is his, and lets him know it. The steamy kiss they share is a nice prelude to the passion between them. There are pressures put on the characters and it’s up to them to decide who is being real and who is telling lies. Jared knows he really doesn’t have a choice, but he is fighting because he is stubborn–the wolf in him wants to submit. So, he makes an ultimatum, Gregor needs to woo him.

I had to laugh at Gregor’s reaction to romancing Jared. He’s used to everyone following his orders. Plus he is confused since he can tell that Jared wants him as his body reacts to his touch. Police officer Jordan and dragon shifter Edra might have to work together, but they don’t trust each other—even if sparks do fly between them.

Edra, Mythological Services Liaison, has been covering up mytho crimes to protect the community’s reputation. With a mayoral election looming, the last thing his people need is a scandal.

To get a murderer off the streets, Jordan and Edra will be spending a lot of time together, and it won’t be easy to keep up with their deceptions… or to keep resisting each other.

The world is a mess and it’s up to a dragon shifter and a cop to sort it all out. Throw in problems with drugs and you’ve got the makings of a great story.

The characters are well developed and I enjoyed how they interacted. Jordan has two different sides– the cop side and the the side that wants a relationship. He also enjoys dressing up in lingerie during his off hours. Edra is fighting the connection, not because Jordan is human but because he wants an actual relationship. It was a ton of fun watching them banter back and forth and try not to fall into each other’s arms. It’s fun to see how the dragon culture is different from human’s. For example, in dragon culture, kissing on the lips is much more intimate. Dragons use a kiss to see if they will be able to become mates. I enjoyed the world-building because the author seamlessly added in the mythical creatures.

This world view shows how bad discrimination can be–anyone that is different is considered dangerous and animals. The cops don’t investigate vandalism, stealing, and even a murder of a satyr. I loved how Jordan does everything he can to earn the trust of the Mythos creatures even though it could kill his career. He starts to see how horrible it is to live as a Mytho. He allows himself to become friends with Edra and the group of satyrs. He has to be careful how he approaches the crimes as the police would get suspicious that he is a mythos supporter. Edra, a lesser dragon, is a knight, a position that is a lot like the police. He kept the peace between the different creatures, enforcing the laws. This allows Edra to trust Jordan faster. He wants to be Jordan’s mate, so he is unable to give into his lust. I also loved how much support Edra gets from all the creatures along with the slow trust Jordan is earning. I enjoy how Jordan and Edra’s relationship slowly developed instead of jumping into bed right away.

There is one thing that I wish could have been changed, but I also know why it was done. The ending was very abrupt, drawing you into wanting to read the next in series.

Hot dragon shifters and hot police officers make for a wonderful read. I would suggest this book to anyone that loves dragons and hot men.

The sexual tension between Tasha and Marcus is so strong that they can’t fight it anymore. They fall into bed and wonder if they could form a relationship or if it was scratching an itch.

This book is relationship driven. The author pens the characters with flourish and I felt like I was there with them. Marcus is a veteran and helps others who are struggling. Besides helping children of veterans, he wants to work with the Veteran’s Affairs office to help those who have recently become inactive to help reestablish themselves to real life.

There are tensions between Marcus and Tasha and the author does a great job of showing it. I liked how the story is drawn out to show how Tasha deals with her problems. I would have given this novel more stars except for the fact that the novel is too long. There was a tad too much explanation and detail, but that might appeal to other readers.

This is a good example of relationship driven fiction, with well-developed characters that are like a family. The relationship between Tasha and Marcus is quite enjoyable.

Jackson Mckenna is the intern CEO of Mckenna Logistics and he needs a wife to complete a major business deal with a Japanese company.

I loved the characters of Siobhan and Jackson. Both are strong-willed and have the confidence to navigate the business world. The relationship between them is complicated at first. Jackson lusts after her and she also finds him attractive although she can’t stand his ego and often cuts him down. She also lets him know that their relationship will not be consummated as this is just a marriage convenience. Things start to change when they move in together and Siobhan sees Jackson in a new light, especially the way he treats Andy. He keeps major information as to why he wanted her as his wife from her, which causes problems.

It was funny when she left Jackson to feed Andy for the first time–because it ended in a mess. I like how Jackson finds himself growing, learning to take responsibility for a family. The plot is well developed with no major deviations. The love scenes are hot but still tastefully done. The only thing I wish could have been done is is having it longer, to watch their relationship grow over time.

If you want to see two people growing together under strange circumstances and learning to become one, this is a great book to try. With funny moments and sad moments, I wasn’t able to put this down.

You know what they say about those creative types…

Playful, rebellious, sensitive and passionate, nobody loves like an artist. These sixteen stories set the stage for racy encounters with bad boy rock stars, sensual actors, and artists seeking their muse. Inside this collection you’ll find:

Whether you’re looking for a playwright provoking her friend’s uptight cop neighbor to help with blocking, two choir men battling for the affection of the girl-next-door, or a struggling writer finding an unusual muse in the Japanese countryside, this collection will have you ready for romance.

Look for some quick, titillating stories? This might just be the perfect book for you.

I went into this anthology thinking I was going to be reading erotic romance, but I think that’s a little misleading. These sixteen stories are all just a few pages long (from three pages to twenty-something) but the common thread is sex in many forms. Though some of these end with a “happy for now” type ending, the focus is definitely on the physical. These character have few inhibitions right from the start and waste little time before getting down to business.

Some of these stories worked better for me than others. I particularly enjoyed “Talk Elizabethan to Me” which was a clever bit of public seduction. And those that included characters who were already acquainted with one another felt more believable, like “The Dividing Line”. Some had a stronger focus on the art they represented, like “Tempo Changes” where the hero describes the changes in the speed and intensity of their sex by use of musical terms, and “Resonance” which used music seductively, even more arousing than the sexual act itself.

In many cases, I did wish for even more description of the sex, though. While the author certainly included many behaviors that reflected the erotic tone of the stories, the intimate details were occasionally lacking. And, I have to be honest and say I don’t really like erotica (as opposed to erotic romance) and these stories definitely danced along that line. I missed the intense emotional connections that I craved. I think many of these stories would provide an amazing jumping off point for longer, more in depth stories–in particular “Mistaken Identity” which left me wanting more–but the author clearly has a wonderful imagination and I admired her ability to wrap sixteen short stories in such a clever trope of art.

So, all-in-all, I appreciated this anthology. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, and should satisfy the reader who is looking for hot sex in small bites. I hope the author creates longer versions of some of these stories. She has a way with words, and managed to create interesting characters in only a few pages, many of whom I really came to care about. Not easy to do with so few words!

Mary Allen’s never been a guy magnet. Most men are put off by her confidence in the workplace. Not Sebastian. He kindles a passion she thought was long dead. After one scene, she’s ready to jump back into the lifestyle. But can a workplace romance really work?

Just about any holiday is viagra ordination go now generally good to familys to enjoy, nonetheless with regards to the high prices that numerous places around the globe request for prescription medications. Sebastian Paul came back to the Underground after time away to figure out what he wanted from his life. He can’t escape the desire or the need for the scene, but he hasn’t found his perfect sub—until he spots Mary. He never expected to see her at the club. She works with him, and although she oozes confidence, he notes her desire to submit. He wants Mary as his girl. No question. But will she want him in return?

When passion ignites, love will find a way.

Mary is happy to blend in and not be noticed, particularly since none of the men at the Underground club struck her fancy. Only when a colleague from work turns up unexpectedly, Mary is shocked. She had no idea Sebastian was into the scene. Will they both learn more than they expected from each other?

I found this to be an interesting BDSM story. I was intrigued by the idea of two colleagues at work discovering there was a whole lot more to each other in their private lives. This short story delivered that in abundance. I enjoyed watching Mary and Sebastian discover more about each other and slowly build a strong, trusting relationship together. There is definitely a strong theme of BDSM, submission and following orders throughout the story, but I didn’t find any of the scenes to be over the top of pushing the envelope too hard. Readers who like some kink and spice to their erotic romance should find this fits the bill nicely.

The sex is spicy and explicitly written and I was pleased Mary and Sebastian pretty much jumped right into it. I found it believable – they knew each other platonically but quite well from work – and they were both in a BDSM sex club so I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t have become intimate as soon as they both expressed their interest in the other. Most of the story revolved around Mary and Sebastian’s blossoming relationship but I was pleased that Sebastian wasn’t just “any old Dom” and had his own mini plotline. It helped keep the story more three dimensional to me and retained my interest. While somewhat clichéd (the whole “ex who fraudulently cried abuse” thing) it did add another level of tension and conflict and overall I feel the author did a good job handling it.

Hot and kinky, this is a good story and one I feel has a solid plot to it. With complexities of sharing a workplace and a slightly deluded ex-wife in the mix I thought there’s plenty going on in the story and all the hot sex just makes the story even more enticing. A quick read this is one I can easily recommend.

Sheltered and cosseted, Sonnet Mendoza abided by her papi’s wishes her whole life: no boys, studies first and always. Now an ER nurse in a busy Chicago hospital, medical school is so close Sonnet can taste it. Just like her father always wanted. Just like she can taste all the things she wants—like Griffith Parker, the man of her dreams and her new housemate.

Working “graves” in a large hospital as a security guard while attending the police academy during the day doesn’t leave ex-Marine Griffith Parker any personal time, but after meeting the beautiful Sonnet Mendoza, business as usual is anything but. Sassy, smart…and interested in him, too? Except, she’s made an art of keeping her distance, and she’s been clear that her plans don’t include him. But the heart wants what the heart wants. His wants Sonnet. He’ll put it on the line to win her.

Great characters are the glue to this story. I absolutely adored both Sonnet and Griffith, and the author included a diverse and interesting group of secondary characters as well. I’m a huge fan of character driven stories, and this one definitely fits that criteria.

Sonnet is living on her own for the first time. Her much loved father passed away the year before and she’s learning how to really stand on her own two feet. She’s beautiful. smart, intelligent and driven, but finding that maintaining a house on a nurse’s income isn’t that easy. She decides she needs a roommate.

Griffith is equally beautiful, smart, intelligent and driven. To be honest, my only complaint about the main characters was that they really didn’t have any flaws. From the moment Sonnet and Griffith met each other, Griffith was there for her whenever she needed him. He clearly wanted more than friendship, right from the start, but was incredibly patient with Sonnet’s reticence and put up with a lot of “no” from her.

This brings me to the sex portion of this story. It was honestly just about perfect. Unlike so many erotic romances, these two didn’t jump into bed immediately. There was a lot of fantasizing (and self-pleasuring) and then plenty of foreplay before they finally came together. I appreciated that the author let these two develop a deep relationship before they hit the sack. Once they did, they certainly scorched the sheets, but it was all appropriate to the plot.

To be honest, there really wasn’t a lot of conflict in the story, or much doubt these two both belonged together and would end up together. There’s a little at the end regarding a job change, but in my mind there was no way Griffith was going to give up that easily.

So, in a nutshell, this was simply a well written, sexy novel populated with three dimensional characters I cared a lot about. Did I wish I’d felt a little more anxiety about them? Sure. But in the end it didn’t matter that much. I just had a lot of fun reading about them, I completely enjoyed the cast of character (main and secondary) and I never once even thought of putting the book down. This author is very talented and I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with.
