Miranda Langley is still in love with her first boyfriend, Jason Adkins, years after they’ve gone their separate ways. She gets involved briefly with a professor who charms her, only to learn he’s darker than he seems. Miranda ends it and focuses on the two Doms she met online.

When a trip to Mardi Gras results in her being kidnapped, Jason Adkins and Armand Laurent go looking for her. After escaping, Miranda swears she’s fine, but her cyber-Doms, Jason and Armand, see the scars she tries to hide.

As every answer brings more questions, Miranda discovers there are some dangers too great to face alone. She wants to bury the past, but both her men won’t let her—and neither will her stalker.

Jason and Miranda had been young and completely in love with each other. Jason wanted to marry her, but he was going away to college and Miranda had decided to stay and get a local degree. Jason wanted to believe their love could survive the long distance, but in the ends doubts assailed him and they broke up. Years later and all grown up Jason takes an online pseudonym and with his best friend they initiate a cyber BDSM relationship with Miranda, but before the three of them can meet Miranda is kidnapped. Can the three of them make their relationship work?

I found this to be an intense and tricky book to read. While the chemistry and connection between Jason, Miranda and Armand was believable and strong – I found quite a few points in the story took me some time to get comfortable with. A lot of the circumstances surrounding Miranda’s kidnap and abuse was gut-wrenchingly believable. It was far too easy to believe how realistic and simple it would be for this sort of situation to happen literally every day to any woman – or young adult/teen. In that sense I found this quite heavy reading and not to my usual taste of romance or erotica. I don’t mind reading something that is erotically intense or that deals with strong emotion, but serious baggage like abuse and kidnapping are usually subjects I don’t like to read about in too much depth. I also found it somewhat confusing that Miranda was clearly struggling to deal with some of the facets of her kidnapping and abuse, yet she could simultaneously feel intensely sexual feelings for both Jason – whom she tried to convince herself she still hated for breaking up with her when they started college – and Armand. The whole hot/cold/hot/cold changeovers from Miranda feeling sexual to recalling various acts of abuse that had occurred when she’d been kidnapped didn’t feel very sexy or erotic to me and I struggled to follow with what felt to me like fast changes emotionally in the story.

I truly feel the author handled these issues very well. Readers who enjoy deeper, more complex and realistic stories should find this a delight. I feel the subject of Miranda’s abuse and kidnapping were written respectfully and tastefully (there was no titillation or over-the-top descriptiveness about the actual time she was locked away and hurt/abused) but I did just find it a little too difficult for me to say that I enjoyed or was even comfortable with that aspect of the story and the ramifications that followed.

I feel readers should also be aware that while there’s no heavy or detailed description of it – in one scene toward the end of the story Miranda takes another person in a BDSM scene past them using their safe word. While that particular BDSM scene is not really described, refusing to stop when a safeword is spoken is a very strictly held thing in the BDSM scene/lifestyle. I personally found it very difficult to read about her breaking that part of the code of conduct, and especially her rationale and explanation surrounding it just didn’t patch it up for me, personally. This action of hers very seriously dinted my personal enjoyment of the story as a whole.

I did enjoy watching Miranda, Armand and Jason work through their issues, develop their ménage relationship and help Miranda heal and come through her trauma. This book has a lot of strong positives, but I just don’t feel it’s a comfortable or easy read and I absolutely feel this will not suit every reader’s taste. I could easily see it becoming a “love it or hate it” style of story as many aspects are polarizing. I believe some readers will love the depth and complexities and the tasteful ways very deep issues are explored – others will feel the total opposite.

Strongly emotional with quite a few dark pockets this story won’t be to everyone’s tastes. That said, the characters are complicated and very interesting, the plot is deep and I feel very well written and the sex is steamy hot.

But can she trust someone she suspects of being a criminal to tie her up and do unspeakably delicious things to her body?

Boy, oh, boy this is a hot story.

I love the work of Katy Swann, so I knew I was in for a treat. The story flowed well, there were twists I wasn’t expecting and have I mentioned the hot factor?

This isn’t a story for the faint of heart. If you’re new to the BDSM genre, this one might be a bit of a shocker, but in a good way. I loved the chemistry between Sami and Jet, even when she hated him. I felt the trust and devotion, too.

As I said, there are twists to this story. It’s more than it seems and I’m glad. If you’re ready for kink, some heat and a good story to go with it, then this is the book for you.

I’d never read an HC Brown book up until I read Twink. I wish I hadn’t waited so long. Talk about a lot in a little space… This book delivered. The writing was sharp and I couldn’t put it down. Granted, the read took me less than an hour, but it was worth the time.

The characters are complex and have their secrets. I liked being able to peel them back little by little through the story. When they finally come together…there are sparks. Holy rock star, Batman. Alec, the gay rocker and dom, is just plain hot. He’s everything one might want in a dom. Then there’s Raoul. As much as he seemed like he might be irritating, he was my favorite character. Charming and sweet, while just a little shy, Raoul was just what Alec needed.

If you want scorch-the-reader hot, then this might be the book for you.

Two years ago, the woman he’d hoped to collar and marry disappeared. So Reece McRae is stunned to find his former girlfriend on her knees, behaving as the submissive he’d always wanted.

The Reece she returns to is even more determined to have his way. Is she now strong enough, brave enough, to surrender to his love?

Once again, Ms. Sierra Cartwright builds a story that makes me want to dig deeper.

Crave is a sizzling read. As in all of Ms. Cartwright’s novels, the BDSM scenes and sex are extraordinary, but there is more. The author not only sucked me into the BDSM lifestyle once more, she sucked me into a new world: the world of Sarah and Reece, of luxury and decadence, of heartbreak and love.

The pace of the story is quick (I read it in one sitting) and Cartwright’s style is not complicated but the depth that she gives her characters in Crave goes beyond the pages. Reece and Sarah are far from perfect. As I read the novel, I had mixed feelings toward both of them. On the one hand, I understood Sarah’s fear, but on the other hand, I also had the impression that a lot of the time she was selfish. After all, she ran. She ran without saying goodbye or without giving an explanation and she returned two years later. I repeat, two years later. I seriously thought that was a ridiculously long amount of time for her to realize that she still loved Reece and wanted to try to win him back.

However, I looked past it as did Reece. He was also a complicated character. I have to say, that at first when she came back I had the annoying impression that he only reunited with her because she was now a “perfect” sub. As I read about him and what he demanded (even if unconsciously) I understood why Sarah would run and also why she would come back, for even though I had my doubts about them, their love story still prevailed. Every action, every word, every little thing had an inkling of love that wasn’t overt but was present. There was an undercurrent of emotion between them that denoted not two persons that had just met but two persons that knew each other well from before.

With intriguing secondary characters, Ms. Cartwright has also set the stage for forthcoming novels, which I will certainly read.

All in all, Crave was a wonderful read that will get romantics swooning and BDSM readers hot.

What could be headier than the surrender of a powerfully dominant woman?

Dom Damien Lowell has always respected Domme Catrina Davidson. He likes the way she interacts with her subs, confident, kind, firm. And for years he’s fantasised about her submitting to him. What could be hotter than having the sexy Domme squirming beneath his lash?

One evening, Damien challenges her, saying she’d be a much better Domme if she experienced submission…to him.
Catrina doesn’t have a single submissive tendency. But she’s oh-so turned on when she watches a sub respond to Damien. A secret part of her is intrigued, and she asks herself, what harm can come from giving him two weeks?

Over the next fortnight, she is introduced to the pleasures and perils of servitude. She has to admit that he’s right—her understanding of submission is deeper, more profound, than it would have been otherwise. But the private experiences they share in the Den leave her emotionally shattered, making her question everything she thought she knew.

In her unique way, Catrina too, challenges Damien, forcing him to grow as a Dom, and he wonders how the hell he’ll ever be able to let her go.

Sometimes, after several books an author’s writing quality starts to decrease. That’s not the case with In the Den, by Sierra Cartwright. In this novel, book 6 of the Mastered series, Ms. Cartwright delivers a fascinating story that sucked me right in from page one.
I’m guessing Pioli came to a different level so best buy on viagra that he can provide proper and efficient drug is mandatory. Drugs that inhibit this type of enzyme stabilize the erection in men with impotence cialis online canada issue. However, you viagra online prescription should add fiber to your diet slowly. The medication is affected by meal as its absorption is decreased viagra shop usa when used with each other having a high-fat meal.
Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary to read the rest of the series before this one, but I highly recommend it as it’s nice to recognize some old characters and to get to know the mysterious owner of the Den, Damien Lowell, from the start.

The overall plot might not be innovative, but Cartwright’s writing is wonderful. The words flow easily, and as with earlier books I was seduced into the world she creates. Also, as I’ve mentioned in other reviews, she has a knack of teaching about the BDSM lifestyle through her books without detracting from the erotic, without making it seem like an actual lesson. Everything seems natural and the story rolls effortlessly.

Though In the Den is erotic beyond any words I could write here, what really makes it a great read is the love story between the characters. It was emotional, heady, full of unexpected little paths that left me wondering if they’d make in the end. After all, Damien was not falling for any girl. The woman to whom he had decided to dedicate all his affections was none other than the respected Domme Catrina Davidson.

Initially I was a bit hesitant about Catrina becoming a submissive. After all, she was a Domme, had been since forever and that made her awesome to my eyes. Nevertheless, this was also precisely why I was intrigued: How the hell was Damien going to bend her to his will? It would have definitely been very interesting to read if it had been done the other way, Catrina dominating Damien, but Ms. Cartwright still caught me up in the intricate romance that bloomed between these two.

And romance it was.

Damien is not only old-world manners, good looking, intelligent and wealthy. He’s seduction on two feet and he snuggles! He knows what he wants and he goes after it without hesitating, but when it comes to love, it was interesting to see a different side of Damien. I knew he was in love long before he figured it out.

Catrina is Damien’s equal in everything. More than once I found myself wondering what it would be like to be under her scrutinizing wide-eyed gaze. The path that Damien leads her into, was not easy to watch. More than once I found myself holding back tears with her, struggling with every step of wanting to submit but not quite getting there yet.

There is little more I can say about the sex: it is amazing, scorching, sizzling. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts (I’m still reliving that first kiss in my mind or the coffee table scene).

All in all, In The Den is a great novel, which I’ve already read twice and I know I will read again and again.
