Our dork of destiny rides again!

Edger is falling for Mary, his bodyguard, kick-ass spy, and cover wife. But she’s so hopelessly out of his league, it’s clear someone’s going to get hurt. Less clear? That someone may be the Prime Minister of Australia.

This is the second book in the series, but I didn’t have any trouble figuring out what was going on. I’m sure my experience would have been richer and I would have understood all the nuances of the relationships better had I read the first book, but I still enjoyed it very much. I have already downloaded the first book in the series, though, because I want to read them both (heads up– the first book is free on Amazon).

I absolutely loved this book. It’s quirky humor reminded me of one of my favorite books, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe. Edger Lives shares a lot in common — zany, fun characters, adventures in saving the universe, and a bit of a love interest. Parts of this book were so laugh out loud funny, I found myself interrupting my husband’s reading to share segments of the book.

Great job, Mr. Beem. I’m definitely hoping there will be more books featuring these characters. You have won a new fan!
