As levitra india price men age prostate gland grows in size . Communicating with an alien species isn’t easy, especially when they don’t seem to notice any attempts to grab their attention.

The giant mantas truly felt like aliens to me. Not only was the world they lived in nothing at all like any environment we have on Earth, their species didn’t behave anything like humans do either. Sign language and the spoken word didn’t seem to mean anything to them at all. What made them even more interesting was the fact that they did show a few faint signs of communicating with each other, but the researchers couldn’t figure out what those messages meant or even if they were actually some form of communication. The more I learned about this species, the more curious I became to figure them out.

I would have preferred to see a little more time spent developing the ending. There was so much conflict going on in the earlier scenes that I was slightly surprised by how quickly everything was wrapped up. Even an extra conversation or two about the things the characters disagreed on regarding their research would have been enough for me to give this tale a five-star rating.

The relationships between Nitra, Meical, and Yevgeny were as complicated as they were fascinating. I can’t say much about how they all knew each other without giving away spoilers, but I deeply enjoyed the fact that the author put so much thought into their backstories and then allowed all of that information to slowly reveal itself at exactly the right portions of the plot.

I’d recommend The Deepest Rift to anyone who enjoys first contact stories.

In one week, she learns that adulthood brings new, complicated responsibilities—and the line between right and wrong isn’t always so easy to see. Is she ready to do the right thing if it means losing her friends?

This book not only tells the story of a high school student as she tries to figure out where her life it headed, but actually allows us to experience some of these emotions again as we read! It’s common that I care for the characters I read about, but less common that they can bring back memories of how it felt to go through some of their struggles. One Week of You beautifully portrays what it’s like to be a teenager again.

I also liked that this one wasn’t as straightforward as some YA Contemporaries. It has more of a mystery element which added to the story since neither Lizzy or the reader knows for sure how things will turn out. I loved seeing her struggle to untangle her emotions and she looked for clues as to what was really going on at Lakeside High.

This was a great YA story that didn’t just talk about romance and high-school, but also gave a beautiful portrayal of the jumble of emotions involved and that things are rarely as they first appear.

The plot twists in this tale were fabulous. I honestly didn’t see most of them coming, and the few I’d made educated guesses about still found plenty of ways to surprise and delight me. It was a great deal of fun to see all of the effort the author put into keeping the audience on our toes while at the same time providing a truly satisfying storyline.

There was only one tiny thing I would have liked to see written differently, and it had to do with the setting. This could have been set a few winters ago just as easily as it could have been set a few thousand winters ago. I wondered which one of these options was closer to the author’s original vision, and I wished it had been made a little clearer to the readers. Losing firewood in a world where help is potentially a phone call or email away is an entirely different experience from knowing that one’s death is guaranteed if the supply of wood runs out before winter does.

Other than this minor criticism, I loved how much room this story gave the audience to come up with our own ideas about who the two characters were outside of what the narrator told us about himself and the goblin who stole his precious firewood. Even their names were left up to the audience’s imagination, and that was a wonderful way to make this feel timeless.

The Log Goblin is the perfect thing to read for anyone who is currently experiencing winter conditions or wishes they could get a blast of icy cold air in the middle of summer.

The Glorian Council has been decimated. The Willkeeper is missing. And the Dark army has grown virtually unconquerable. In the final volume of Lyn I. Kelly’s Dark Lands series, a confluence of tragedies has unsteadied the Dark Lands, tilting it mercilessly in the Dark Man’s favor. As he begins his march to destroy Glorian and claim the living world for his own, a desperate plan is unleashed to try and still the Dark Man’s reign. Webb Thompson and a select few Glorians ride out for the haunting Passage of Oradour, intent in bringing this plan to fruition, while Kane, Raven, Caleb, and the remaining Glorians engage in a harrowing battle with the Dark Man’s forces. Time, the most enigmatic of all elements in the Dark Lands, is waning, and the ultimate battle for the living world is in play. Through the most traumatic of moments, one will rise, one will fall, and the Dark Lands will never again be the same.

Dark Lands: The Forgotten is an imaginative, unique adventure peopled with memorable characters in an exciting mystical world. Young adults are the heroes, but they are guided by experienced teachers who bring out the best in them. The emotions and challenges are realistic, and there is authentic character growth, making this a three-dimensional story.

The characters, primary and secondary, are drawn mostly from the middle classes but from different eras in history. When they meet in the afterlife, they have things to teach each other, and an evil of the centuries brings them together for their greatest challenge yet. The author treats the characters with sensitivity and respect, as in the last book, showing that it is better not to judge, for there are things hidden deep under the surface that are often misunderstood.

In the last book, an epic battle was waged against the villain, and heart-breaking losses were suffered. Questions were answered as well, but other questions arose, and many of them were answered in this last book of the series. The ones that weren’t had implied answers.

The odds in favor of the good guys are nearly impossible, but yet, working as a team on many fronts brings hope, because these characters are smart enough to believe in each other.

After they struggle through an even more epic battle than the last, there is a feeling, despite losses suffered, that it was all worth it. There is a sense of satisfaction, leaving a reader happy.

A theme of impending doom permeates the book and adds an undercurrent of sadness. Readers are continually offered doses of hope though, and when individual characters are pushed to the limit, they act in amazing ways. The suspense is great. How is this going to end? Will they all die heroes for the greater cause?

Subplots involve relationships, and people must act unselfishly at times. Also, they must be creative problem solvers. This is escapist literature, but it has underlying messages as well and causes one to think about certain things. Their dialogue is revealing. The writing, as in the other books of the series, is descriptive and straightforward. The world-building is exceptional. An atmosphere of falling darkness, of threat, paints a vivid picture and brings out the bold in the characters.

I have read the other three books in this series and was greatly looking forward to this last book. It was not a disappointment.

When Val unearths a Japanese scroll and a cat figurine inherited from her grandfather, magic invades her world. The statuette, actually a cat spirit named Yuki—a yokai—enchanted into that form for her own protection, comes to life. Over a century ago, an evil magician cast a curse on her, and a wolf-like demon conjured by the curse still hunts her. Because Val is the one who broke the protective spell, that dark magic endangers her, too. She must turn for help to the last person she wants to get involved with, her former high-school boyfriend, now an officer in the Navy. Together they search for a way to vanquish the threat from the spirit realm, while facing the attraction they thought they’d long since put behind them.

Val was exploring in the basement of her house to find old artifacts that her grandfather had brought back from Korea. She was looking for items she could sell to afford fixing up her parents’ house. What she finds changes her life forever.

She also reveals a Japanese painted scroll that she had accidentally bled on while opening it. On the scroll was drawn a shrine with the same good-luck cat and in the background of a misty form of a woman over a river. Then the cat became alive stating that she was placed in the scroll for her own protection. The cat is what is called a Yokai, a Japanese Spirit. Her name is Yuki and she served a minor Kami (god) for the small stream that flowed by the shrine.

A man named Hiroshi often came to pray to the kami. He was a magic user and a great painter who fell in love with Yuki. He was the one who painted the picture and made her into a statue for her protection. What Val didn’t expect was to start seeing Yokai everywhere.

Val is a wonderfully developed character who rolls with the punches that life has thrown her way. I admired how she took the fact that she has magic infused in her house without screaming in panic and running away. She is a woman full of honor, wanting to keep those around her safe. For example, she keeps the scroll that Yuki is attached to, which is how other Yokai find Val’s house. Yuki had informed Val that she should place the scroll in another place. Val had disagreed as she was getting to know Yuki as a sister of sorts. Val has one major flaw. She tends to not deal with facing the choices that would allow her to move on in her life.

The plot was very enjoyable and rather different. I always enjoyed learning about a different culture. The novel teaches about different yokai and other legends. I would love to learn more but this was well done. There are no places where the plots skip around. The first plot is keeping Yuki safe, and the second one is the developing relationship between Val and Thad. They become closer to each other every day to figure how to get her house back to normal.

There are a few things I think could have been changed. For example, Thad takes the fact that Val has supernatural creatures around her house and speaking cat in stride. Val was the same way, taking the whole matter in stride. To me, most people would take a while to absorb everything. The conflict resolution happened a little too quickly and easily. I would have liked to see more of a fight along with making it harder to find the information they needed to get rid of the evil.

Altogether this is a wonderful read that is hard to put down. The characters and culture catch the reader’s imagination.

Amos Marks is the engineer for the Abigail. The ship is owned by himself and his brothers: Flynn, Kal, and Garth. She is a trading ship but they also do some mercenary work, although they do their research to make certain that the person deserves to be taken out.

This is a very sweet novel with wonderful love scenes. The tenderness made me melt but there is also quite a bit of lust involved to. Angelina is a strong character with a past that would have broken most people. She took her destiny in her own hands, stowing away on a random ship to get away from her controlling uncle. Her entire existence had been forced to live in a cage, a very luxuries cage but a cage nonetheless.

Her determination to lose her virginity to any man shows her desperation to live her own life. She figured that once she lost her virginity she could get dropped off on a planet and figure out where she should go and what she should do.

Abel is a strong man with a family of tough brothers who love and cherish their younger sister. There is nothing they wouldn’t do to find out where their sister is or any information as to where she could be. That was the plan until he meets Angelina. It was funny seeing his reaction when this beautiful woman throws herself at him.

Their connection is immediate and strong. He admires her beauty but is wowed by her strength of character. Abel’s protective manner seems to be a behavior of all his brothers. Once they learned how dep his feelings went, they welcome her as part of the family the close ranks around her and were ready to do anything they could to keep her safe. Angelina is also powerful enough to help the brothers find their sister. She wants to help her new family heal.

I would have liked to see the relationship develop a little slower. Also, the talk of their sister seems to be a background plot even though it seems like it should be the major plot.

A wonderful novel full of great characters developing into one unit whose love has changed them for the better. Each character adds to the plot and character development. If you like a short, sweet novel with strong characters this is the book for you.

Christopher had been in Lancaster only a short time and was having trouble finding a job until the library suddenly needed some help. Thrilled, Christopher has no idea just how much work he’s in for. With the funding to the library being threatened and unsavory people wanting to raze the site for the land value, Christopher knows he needs all the help he can get.

I really loved this short story. Despite the small number of pages I found the characters – Christopher and Miles in particular, but even the small cast of secondary characters – all vibrant and realistic, logically and well drawn. I found in just a few sentences the author managed to convey each character with their own sense of self and particularly with Christopher I found their voices just spoke to me and I was eager to ride along and see what happened next.

The plot isn’t particularly convoluted, but rehabbing and modernizing an older, small town library was something I feel most readers can both identify with and envisage. This helped me focus even more on the characters and enjoy their interactions, because all the other plot going on was logical and I didn’t need to think about it too much.

The romance between Christopher and Miles bloomed slow enough that I found it believable – but was fast enough that they made proper head way in the short story. There is only one very brief scene of intimacy but the chemistry and attraction between Christopher and Miles fairly sings from the pages so I feel only readers looking for a highly explicit and strongly erotic take will feel this is a little too tame for their tastes.

Fun and lighthearted with a really good, small-town feeling I loved this story and am eager to try more from the series.

He can cope with her bond with her daughter, no matter how it forces him to remember his lost young son. And he can’t give her his heart, but what he can give is surely enough.

She’s done waiting. She deserves more—and so does he.

Carter worked himself to the bone to keep his ranch afloat and surviving. He had a load of problems – but his biggest one was his inability to find a good housekeeper to cook, clean and keep his employees comfortable. Kathleen is in her forties and a sturdy, mature woman. When she and a colleague come to Carter’s town to oversee a charity auction and audit the bids Kathleen and Carter are both surprised by how well and easily they click together. What stars as a weekend of fooling around quickly turns into something far more deep and serious.

I really enjoyed this story. I found both Carter and Kathleen to be relatable and empathetic characters. Both are mature (in their forties) and long past that first blush of romantic love, and each have lived a rich and full life so far. With history and baggage, they’ve both made peace with who and where they are in their respective lives, and while Carter in particular knows it’s time he move on and open his heart again, they’re both not in a rush to make silly mistakes. I have to admit I loved how sensible both Carter and Kathleen are. I could really relate to them both and completely understood their feelings and actions. I was immediately drawn into the story because I wanted to read and enjoy every word – at no stage did I need to skip ahead a few sentences when one or the other of them said something silly or that made me want to roll my eyes.

With a bunch of interesting (and personally I often found them humorous) secondary characters even though this story really does mainly focus on Carter and Kathleen, it’s clear they’re not isolated or living too far in seclusion. There’s a feeling of community around them and the ranch-hands in particular make for a richer and more complex setting than just a man and a woman falling in love with each other on a working ranch. While the romance between Carter and Kathleen is explicit I was please, personally, that the sex didn’t over-power the story. It’s there, and certainly steamy enough to raise a few eyebrows I’m sure, but it was the day-to-day aspects between the couple that helped me see and believe in their love. This wasn’t some sexy fling of a weekend that somehow grew into more, I loved how the author showed this was two compatible people who met by chance and allowed themselves the opportunity to get to know each other – in all ways – and discovered a lovely, sweet and blossoming relationship.

In many ways this was my favourite style of story – with two interesting and completely relatable characters, progressed in their lives but still able to make changes and be excited about the future. The pace of the romance is slow enough for me to keep up with it and believe in the strength of it, but fast enough – and steamy enough – that I didn’t feel bored or like things were dragging. Best of all this is a story about love and romance and two people making each other happy, and I really loved it. I’d highly recommend this story and can’t wait to go back and read it all over again.
