Romeo, Romeo is a light hearted romance that has a delightful range of characters, a quick wit and excellent pacing. The book immediately drew me in. I sat on the couch to read a little before starting supper. My husband ended up fixing himself hot dogs and I finished the book.

Rosalie Ronaldi is a wonderful heroine. Ms. Faye’s development of Rosalie will warm every reader’s heart. Rosalie is spunky, even when ‘enforcers’ show up at her place of employment, caring and endearing. She refuses to rely on Nick, even when she’s sick, which happens to be one of my favorite parts of the book.

Nick, is the hero, and very, well, hot. Not only does this man know his way around a kitchen, he cleans, drives great cars and loves Rosalie’s dog, Dave. And Dave is a challenge to love.

Both Rosalie and Nick enter their relationship on the promise it’s a wild time with no strings. Then they come to realize they want strings, the ball of yarn strings. Only neither wants to be the first to break their promise and talk about commitment.

Henry and Wayne are Rosaline’s neighbors and they made me laugh out loud. They are completely developed, not just cardboard stand in characters. The same is true with Gina, Rosalie’s assistant and friend. Rosalie’s family is one of those that unless you are related to you wouldn’t spend time with them. Nick’s assistant Lois and her son also add to the story in a valid and dimensional way. And then there is Rosalie’s dog Dave, a Saint Bernard/Black Lab mix, which also serves as a delightful character.
