Jason said, "Of course it has to be a 'GUY' recipe, otherwise everyone would think I just asked my wife for one of hers whether I made it or not! Sometimes my kids preferred to omit the hot dog and just have the sauce on the bun. On a low carb diet? Omit the bun.":

Jason Barret’s Hot Dog Sauce

Ingredients and Directions:

Brown one pound of ground beef.

(For a low fat version use 90% fat free beef and after browning rinse beef under hot water using a wire mesh strainer and drain fat from pan.)

Add ½ cup water to beef

With a potato masher work ground beef mixture into a smooth texture.

Add:

2 cups water

6 Tbs. Chili Pepper

4 Tbs. Paprika

1/8 tsp. red pepper (or to taste)

1 tsp. Nutmeg

½ tsp salt or to taste

Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer until the sauce is reduced to a proper consistence.

Spoon over your favorite hot dog on a bun.

I grew up in Upstate New York at the foot of the Adirondack Mountains where I still reside with my wife and high school sweetheart, Janice. We now have two married daughters and two grandsons. I enjoy all sorts of activities like kayaking with Janice, candle making, and restoring my antique MG sports car.

I started my first unfinished book when I was seventeen and had a few other starts before I actually began a book that I eventually finished. I enjoy writing paranormal as it allows me the freedom to create new worlds and unique characters. http://www.jasonbarret.com
