What do you do when you are in love with someone who won't give you the time of day? How to do you convince her that she really is meant to spend the rest of her life with you when she avoids you at all costs? These are the questions that Alcee Jules (A.J.) Baptiste must answer. He knows that he wants to spend his life with Victoria (Vic) Bennett, but she wants nothing to do with love and even less to do with him. It is going to take all the scheming this man can do just to keep her in the state when she threatens to move to Atlanta, Georgia.

When a Man Loves a Woman brings back the everloving, alway exciting Baptiste family, this time focusing on single father A.J. Baptiste who, along with raising twin daughters also is faced with the task of convincing Victoria Bennett that, yes...she does too love him... no matter how much she may protest against it.

Ms. Taylor-Jones, in this as well as in her first book, When I’m With You doesn’t shy away from dealing with tough issues. Can Vic move on with her life by allowing herself to forgive those who have hurt her? Can she learn to trust again or will she always keep AJ at arm’s length? There’s enough suspense to keep you turning the pages and enough romance to make our hearts go “aaaaahhhhh.” Add to this mix a group of characters you can’t help but like and you have a winner on your hands.

I especially like Ms. Taylor-Jones’ works because I find that her novels transcend the color barrier. You don’t have to be a woman of color to enjoy her works. She just tells a great story. I give When a Man Loves a Woman a solid four books and I look forward to her next book. I do enjoy these Baptiste men :-)
