Lady Jasmina was in a world of trouble. A simple spell had gone disastrously haywire and now there was a woman running around London who looked exactly like her—a woman with no sense of propriety whatsoever. All Society was whispering, and a baronet she’d never met was suddenly acting like he knew her…in a most intimate way. To find her twin and set things right, they’d have to work together—braving the fog-shrouded streets, a mysterious group called the Brotherhood, and a passion stronger than any magic.

Double Enchantment is aptly named. It is enchanting! This is the second book in a series of Relics of Merlin books and I’ve got to tell you, this series is going right on my keeper shelf. Ms. Kennedy’s strong plotting, captivating characters and her inventive new twist on romance made both Enchanting the Lady, the first book in the series, and Double Enchantment two of the best books I’ve read in a long time.

Merlin uses jewels in the spells in this series. The spell in this one focuses on the garnet and after reading this I don’t think I’ll ever look at a garnet in the same way again! Everything about this story is magical, right from its opening. Jasmina, the daughter of an earl, is in possession of Merlin’s relic and when she casts a basic spell on herself the magic takes on its own life. Sterling, the hero in this wonderful romance, meets Jasmina’s spellbound other self and they become intimately acquainted. Sterling does what any man of breeding would do in the situation but when the truth about Jasmina’s enchantment comes out Sterling is put in a very sticky situation. Which woman does he really know? And, more importantly, which does he love?

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed Double Enchantment. This series is amazing and I am completely hooked. Honestly, I can’t wait to read the next book, and find out which of Merlin’s relics will be the inspiration for what I am certain will be another incredible tale from a very talented author.
